preparing for the biggest test of their lives the nfl [Music] okay pencils down guys all the preparation and hard work has paid off it won't be long until they hear their names called i've been dreaming to be in the nfl for a long time it's definitely exciting and i think i was made for this moment i think i'm the best position player in my draft because i just think i love me against anybody you know every time it's a big time moment in my football career i just see it with a clear eye view you know i always felt like i was just you know chosen to play football born and do this top 15 is like okay respectable anything past that i'd be like all right i really gotta prove something this first year chip's gonna build my shoulder if i go past the top 15. over the course of three days this spring like the men before them the lives of these men will be transformed the nfl draft is now officially opened the new york giants select saint john partners tyron matthews [Applause] [Music] they are all represented by the same agents david mullighetta andre odom and trey smith of athletes first look at you you're shaking look look at you look at him look at him and they're all preparing for life in the nfl together on the west coast we're in california we got a beautiful view on the rooftop i hope you guys can see there's like a little turf field workout there's a pool and a hot tub that i love to use all the time my first time out here just here training trying to get in the best shape i can trying to fine-tune the small details and make ourselves the best to be on our pro day i think having all of us here together you know just just competing how many records you got from the weight room name something you beat me in right now to running on the field it's just going to make us better you know competition levels high around all of us so that's one thing i like about it here university of florida tight end kyle pitts and penn state linebacker micah parsons have been pushing each other since high school i got their 717. harrisburg pa harrisburg pa philadelphia who's going to win who's going on the city the city gonna win every time i knew him since high school we've been in camps together kyle pitts is my nemesis he says philly versus harrisburg so you so you know i met like kyle pitts beat me in the state championship my junior year of high school went against each other so me and kyle got a rivalry going on because we need to use the hot commodity and shut that down you're the five star yeah yeah if i fold micah was the best back in the state at the time [Applause] when we played he had 23 yards he probably ain't tell you all that [Applause] what happened we played him he ran for 23 yards huh what stuff wow he was smacking i hope he's on the same division as me because i'm hoping to get this one-on-one back we're a public school guy against a private school we lost j.c their private school they were crew they had like nine division one players on their team south carolina cornerback jc horn knows what it takes to reach the top his father is former pro bowl receiver joe horn my dad played in the nfl 12 to 13 years they don't believe it a lot of people like the cell phone celebration he went and got the phone and pretended like he was making a phone call i get so tired of hearing about it i play dv so it's going to be kind of hard for me to get into his own but if i do i might have something in store you know i started to realize and i could use the knowledge he gave me i didn't really quite understand when i was younger but the older i got tomorrow understood and now today i'm just thankful that i had a daddy playing the league this made my process a lot more smoother a lot more comfortable offenses were uncomfortable around horn as one of the best corner prospects in the draft horn only allowed a completion rate of 33 percent lowest in the sec again making a play planning the toughest conference in football in the sec it's the closest thing you're going to get to the nfl and i feel like i dominated i think it's easy to see i'm the best db in the drive you got any secret tell us you want to tell the world see your talent sing dance play ping-pong bad game please it's no secret ohio state quarterback justin fields is one of the top prospects in a draft where as many as six quarterbacks could go in the first round great throw with great accuracy i think he's the best quarterback in the draft you can do it on the run can make every throw the most accurate quarterback in the job this year has made me a better leader and it's made me a more confident leader a more verbal leader justin fields superstar ohio state quarterback has created a petition requesting the big ten conference immediately reinstate the 2020 football season i've learned a lot about myself one of the main things just me learning discipline and kind of you know not being able to do what everybody else does i really didn't didn't go out much didn't didn't go places and um i mean the only thing that kept me company was my dog my boy that's my guy right here uno he's been with me for about a year and a half now so he's my best friend he sleeps a lot that's what he's best at sleeping eating and pooping but hey he likes to play too so got really bad gas he does have really bad guys [Music] it takes hard work to be the top dog fields is looking for any edge he can get including becoming a vegan we are making a plant-based bowl with a bunch of vegetables and then organic garbanzo beans so basically like he came up with the idea of doing it we did a detox for 28 days fruit and vegetables and we drank this tea if bad breath had a taste in a jar that's what this tea tastes like and it moves all the toxins out of your body gets everything out of your gut after that 28 day period i ended up feeling like really good so i just said i was going to stick with it for the season like i think my sophomore year at the end of that season i was like 2 30 and then i got down like 220 218 so i just felt faster so that's why i kind of stuck with it he was just as strong or stronger on the weights right yeah i hung in there for about six months but those chicken wings were just calling me yeah i'm probably going to stick to it for the rest of my football career and then most likely afterwards too so um just the way it makes me feel i just like it a lot he's doing what he loves and what he's always loved to do was play with the ball you know so it's getting play with the ball [Music] [Applause] in 2019 micah parsons was a force for the penn state defense white swarmed by mr everywhere micah parsons but he opted out of the 2020 season be violent be violent he's been here since august getting his body ready for the nfl so we got three today we got three we do linear speed on thursday so we're working some starts looking at their power a couple of things see how your shoulder is behind your hand you're too far back in your stance okay so your shoulder needs to be over your hand i got a lot more training than the rest of the guys better any time i beat him in competitions it's like you got an unfair advantage you've been here like three years you know everybody got jokes they need some help for a year you need help no injury you feel good you need help tackling nobody you should be coming here you need help mike is a definitely an extrovert bro you didn't even play a season right now i was training didn't get hit not when he has something to say you're definitely going to hear from him will y'all please let him know i'm not doing no type of movements a very competitive guy i think he just makes everyone around him better y'all see how y'all going after me we do have a bet right now we do have a vet right now who's going to run the fastest 40. i think teams know i'm kind of fast but they don't really know how fast i am so that's a big part of what i want to show teams justin you're in last place right now at ohio state i ran a 438 so i'm gonna try to either hit that or hopefully i could blow that even with no scouting combine this year due to the pandemic 40 yards is still 40 yards parsons and justin fields will have to wait until their pro days to show who was faster what did justin get that's the pr for you 2461 your best before that was 23.26 so i'm still faster than you you're not fashionable i'm not worried about you march 30th you'll see 30th i know i got him that's why i bet when mine dropped and you see parsons runs 4-3 i'm looking forward to that day we'll see who wins i've been here for about two months it's been great meeting new guys competing every day like just learning new things about football tight end kyle pitts has learned a lot from the best in the business travis kelsey george kittle darren waller those are guys a similar body type and i kind of take bits and pieces of their game to add it to my game a kid from philadelphia we don't get to see this a lot so being able to come out here experience this is once in a lifetime i'm just embracing everything we met in atlanta and literally been at each over the last five years with jacksonville and la he's established himself as one of the premier defenders in the nfl better than me in this league the style i play with so i gotta play with a lot of people compared to jaylen ramsey and jc horn is balling out smart fast physical being mentored by an all-pro at his position should help horn prepare for the nfl we working sir you know fans looking brady so your perfect coverage got to be even better you saw when i was doing some of the drills like that's why i'm like a perfectionist when it comes to that technique technique technique looking for hopkins over the top jalen ramsey breaks it up going into the league rookie year it's really a mindset thing when you take that next step from college to the nfl i feel like some people worry about that like man i now i'm going to be playing receivers who i looked up to the receivers who i play on madden like yeah you are and it's it's it's cool or whatever it's dope you're there for a reason but you're there for a reason like you're playing at the highest level in college you've been going against top receivers forever for sure they gotta see and it's intercepted jay-z he's been all over seth williams throughout the day if you go out there with all that confidence in the world you don't have to respect me ain't got no choice so you gotta take it to another level and once i take it there boom i'ma keep taking it up a notch until they can't mess with me for sure that's really all it is you solid though it's bowling night for the prospects and everyone is trying to find an edge against the group's best bowler micah parsons you hold it like this i can't tell you all my secrets bro i don't know how to play how you hold it bro you got to hold it to your comfort zone you teams to see draft prospects work out in person i want to hit a high bench press in a 22 to 24 range i want to run like a high four four low four five how many times you get 225 in college we're going to say 4-3 but as long as i'm low 4-4 the stage is set for you micah you know halfway through full foes my goals i know the drill is going to come natural and i've been doing it my whole life i just want to show how sharp i am and i think teams know i'm kind of fast but they don't really know how fast i am pro days will matter more than ever and with their training days in california coming to an end every workout is a chance to get better see i saw you right there that's teddy i thought you got zero red zone dropping i do you only got one in though you got one foot in it's not college no more junior season due to kobe concerns it just came down to protecting my family and my future i would say so it really hurt me because i feel like there's so much i had left to do at penn state parsons was the only freshman in school history to leave the nittany lions and tackles chased down by parsons is he playing fast tonight or what my favorite moments is obviously the white out you know i just feel like there's nothing like it i still got like the memories like engraved in my brain as a sophomore parsons buried the big ten under an avalanche of tackles he was named the conference's best linebacker and earned all-american honors this is our all-american hallway and i would just like every day he said i'm gonna make this waffle make this wall and i'll just put it into my mind that like i wanted to do this so when 2019 all america came out coach franklin called me on uh facetime was like congrats like i know how much this means to you and i almost wanted to cry a little bit because like it was like everything i ever worked for and like it just really like touched my heart when i finally did it so despite the accolades some pundits are wondering how the layoff might impact his pro day performance parsons believes he'll still crush the 40. we're going to say 4-3 but as long as i'm low 4-4 at least devon and white devon bush two guys like i really look up to as long as i'm with them i'll be like okay rich giddy up giddy up justin that's like my nemesis right now we gotta bet on who's gonna run a faster 40 i don't know why he believes that he's going to run faster than season end at the hands of justin fields and toughed out an injury to throw six touchdown passes [Music] it was a game our team was looking forward to all year i got banged up that game but i mean nothing was going to take me out of that game i'm just proud of the way our coaches handled it probably the way our players handled it of course we conquered the moment if there's any chance of field being qv1 he must have a good pro day like jc horn and micah parsons fields wants to break 4-4 in the 40. too kyle shanahan the 49ers coach told us yesterday that he's hoping you'll throw again if you had such a good day today why don't you want to just stand on that it's really just you know throwing the ball back and forth and showing my skills off so it really just doesn't happen one time you know it it's an everyday thing it's not necessarily that i had such a good day i don't want to mess up my first-team all-american honors i said the truth because that's what i am the truth like many alumni kyle pitt's return to his college campus is a chance to reflect on memorable accomplishments you got three three a lot of trash talking usually you get real competitive and guys start going hard at whatever we're doing but it's kind of how it was growing up when your dad is a four-time pro bowler family time comes with the side of competition jc horn inherited more than just his dad's competitive drive and has been shutting down opponents since his days at alpharetta high school as a part of you know what scheme i'm gonna be in just a whole bunch of different things with city i'm just excited [Music] great to be home so we're at my high school weight room right now and i mean basically you know growing up in high school coach dickman had us living since we were like uh fresher in high school look at that pearl oh yeah that's cute that's below parallel that's that's my hamstrings on my couch right that's why we do it he's doing a 400 squat this is his junior year [Music] this is a 285 cleaning jerk right here that was his junior we told him after he did 285 overhead like that that we weren't going to line to do anymore it was a little scary i said we can't have our starting quarterback doing any more weight we don't want him to get hurt so but yeah he had some whenever i'm home i come up here and uh live by myself so of course it's always good seeing coach dickman you know his wife so um definitely close within but it's it's it's awesome being back for sure using his legs at harrison high school for a long time in two years as the starting quarterback he ran for 2096 yards and 28 touchdowns he threw for 4 187 yards and 41 passing touchdowns to be honest as a kid i really wasn't even trying to make it to the nfl i didn't know if i was good enough to be in the nfl my only goal was to to be on a college football team over time goals change and with less than a week until the draft the hard work hasn't stopped for justin come on now show me something you know they already said what they say you don't work hard you're slow what else they say he can't read coverages character traits are hard yeah hold up man i love you you know you hear all the critics you went from top quarters in the country to now they got you what the fifth best quarterback coming out if you talking to your new upcoming gm and team tell them what they getting in justin fields this right here that's all i do wait room field work film room like i feel like this is all i do and you know this show being here a lot of other people doing like stuff like that i feel like like my life is just working and then going back home and not not doing anything so it's pretty much what i do is work you know fully committed but they're gonna get a guy that's you know wants to win a leader on and off the field uh you know play maker a good person so who caller guy that's what your dad was right seriously service service to in the service military yeah just that hard work pedigree right got to get it every time got two [Music] right now we're in the friendship center this is where i spent like most of my time growing up as a kid me and all my friends running full court all day you know i'm like a stephen curry mixed with a harden and i got like lebron and you know vince carter ducking abilities i always say if i was about six eight i'd be in the nba okay like a zion williamson i think this with a better shooter like kevin durant or curry there's something wrong with that competitor but when he's with his son malcolm he's a big softie [Music] ever since he was like two wanna have two he just always loved to come to the pool the number one thing my mom was like we gotta get a house with the pool the kids would love it they love to go swimming you want pool [Music] honestly being a dad is great and you know to see him do sports one day is gonna be awesome we ain't have it easy growing up so now i kind of like want to work really hard to give him like the life i've never had [Music] hopefully like down this path falcon has so much more opportunities than i did micah wanting the best for his son isn't surprising his own father terence decided to have micah switch from central dauphin to harrisburg high school during his junior year all that energy a move that helped micah get to where he is today bleachers this is where daddy used to play that's where i found myself when i came here this is kind of like where i finally got to like exploit like all my talents you know i was playing dn had to play some stand-up linebacker play some running backs some wildcat quarterback so it was actually like crazy harrisburg's new multi-dimensional weapon became one of the nation's best high school football players [Music] if you hit a person over and over again soon you don't they don't want to hit you anymore and i think that's our goal here we hit and hit soon several big time college programs like penn state came calling i didn't realize how big of a thing that was until everybody else was telling me it's like you got to offer penn state like you're growing place i was like i really don't know what that means but okay and that's when i realized like oh i could go further with this say cougar cougar cougar in his senior year micah rushed for over a thousand yards and 27 touchdowns as harrisburg posted its first undefeated regular season in 47 years everybody started coming to the games like the whole city was like behind us and it just like felt like it was like a movie almost it was like cool girls cougars we just kind of like rolled the momentum harrisburg ruled all the way to the state championship game where micah faced off against kyle pitts the young tight end scored the first touchdown of the game for archbishop wood dominant all season on the ground the vikings defense held micah in check it came out shorter state championship it wasn't for that loaded team with kyle pitts micah's time at harrisburg high may have been brief but he made a lasting impression both on the field and in the classroom this is mom dukes you know what i mean while i was here took care of me you know i mean make sure i can get my snacks out that room right there i was looking for you this is miss velez top three favorite teacher here oh mr schneider this is like one of two of my favorite classes ever room 170 with mr mac geometry i wanted to send out our appreciation and let you know that she was my favorite teacher and my time here at john harris that's awesome i really appreciate you doing that man that means a lot he's a joy he's a joy that's a common thing yeah he was a joy i wanted him to to be more than a football player i always pushed him to look at the academics and he lived up to that for me and throughout high school and in college you know so thank you miss phillips yes i am proud of you so proud of you draft and i was like we gotta cook something up real nice just bring a different little pizzazz too i know the nfl drive now is it's a fashion show that came over iridescent and with green so when the light hits them it sparkles so i put the suede draper on the side with the corn pocket with no belt loops the two inch uh weight band gave him more comfort when he showed me his his tattoo which means a lot to him says keep pushing i came up with this to match the tattoo that you have that's fine so we use the lining on the vest and we also use the lining on the inside of the jacket and i have one special touch i want to show you you said that your coats called you the unicorn so inside your label you will see we have the unicorn 101 it won't be none another loop coin there's not many of them in the jungle i'm feeling blessed man this is what i waited my whole life for it's kind of surreal got my nerves my jitters right now but you know we could see the stage from here i've been standing
