(peppy music) - Hey Alex. I just bought a Yu-Gi-Oh! Booster pack from the store. - Oh really? Ooh, Dark Neostorm, that's pretty cool. - I wonder what I'ma get. - Let's see. (wrapper rustles) - Oh, Cynet Mining. How much you think that's worth? - Wait a minute. Ah, that's awesome! This is a 50 dollar card. - Is it? - Yeah! - Man. Is buying packs always this fun? - Pretty much. - Yeah! (hands slap) (groans) Come on. (wrapper rustles) Just garbage. I only need one thing. Please? (groans) Not even an Ultra. (groans) Come on, come on. (sighs) I'm just gonna buy singles. - Let's see here. Do you have like a Folgo, Justice Fur Hire? - Hold on, let me check. Oh, I have one. - Oh cool, cool. What do you want? - Ooh, I'll take that Crowley. - Oh really? Sure! Here you go. - Thanks! - Electrumite? - (sighs) 9.50. - Pyro Phoenix? - 12 even. - I can only do 10. - On my other website, I got 13 so. Know what? Let me see what you have, let me see what you have. Heatleo? - Five. - Five? - Talker. - I can't trade Talker. - I've got cash. - Maybe we can talk. All right, got my cards here. Some of my favorites. So I'ma make me a deck. It's gonna be mine. It's gonna have all my favorite monsters in it. It's gonna be completely unique to me. So I have three each of the Crusadia's. Let's see what this Top 8 Deck list ran. Rescue Ferret? Let's see if they have a list with Rescue Ferret. Two Waterfronts and a Kaiju? Eh... oh well. It must work. Hey. - What's up? - I'm trying to build Glads Beast This is what I have so far. What do you think? - Let's see. I do wonder about the Cosmic Cyclones. - I mean, but what about Flood Gates and Mystic Mine? - True, if you want to plan for those I'd say probably trade it out for Twin Twisters then. - I see what you're saying. Appreciate it. - No problem. - You think this is Glad's? Where are your hand traps? Traps? No one plays traps anymore. What are you doing? Stop it, stop it! That's bad. That's bad, you're bad. So, why is this not on your side? What are you maining this for? No, stop. Bad card, bad player. You don't need two of this! Get it out of your deck. We don't play gimmick-y cards. - I like gimmicks. - Stop, no. You need three copies of Rejection. Where is it? (stutters) You don't have one? You don't have one? You want to play Glad's? Give me your Glads. Nah, nah. Go play Blue Eyes or something. - I actually have those right over here. - Basically, there's three types of cards. There's monsters. - Those are the brown ones, right? - Mm-hmm. And Spells, they're green. Traps are purple and the two monsters battle. Whoever has higher attack points wins. - Okay, I think I get it. - Yeah, that's all there is to it. Simple right? So there's synchro monsters. You take a tuner monster and a non-tuner monster and their levels have to equal the level of the synchro monster you want to summon, then you put it on the field. - But what's a tuner? - Next, there's XYZ monsters. Take two monsters that are the same level and you overlay them. The two monsters' levels equal the monster's rank and ranks and levels are two different things. XYZ materials on the card aren't considered cards on the field, but it doesn't come up that much I promise. - How do you overlay? - Next, there's pendulum monsters Because they're actually monsters and they're spells and they don't go to the graveyard, they go face-up in the extra deck. Taking the scale numbers on the left and right side of the card. They used to have their own zones but now they're considered a different thing. And then there's Link monsters. Really simple, I promise. They have these link ratings that don't have defense points, they can't go to defense mode, and their link rating determines how many extra monster zones you can summon your monsters from for all the other types. It's pretty simple, right? - I think I'ma just play Duel Links. - Okay moving to battle phase. I'll have my Marincess Wonder Heart attack your Test Panther. - I guess that's game. Gladiator Beast versus Marincess. - Yeah I never thought we'd play this matchup before. It's kind of fun. - Yeah, good job man. - I activated my monster's effect. - Which one? You know what, don't matter. Veiler. - All right. Activate Gladiator Proving Ground. - Proving Ground? You can't search. What are you doing? Judge, where's a judge? Look at your deck. Irreparable game state. You're disqualified, I win. - What? - Okay, let's See. I think he said I needed a play set of these, so I'm going to get two more. He also said that I needed a play set these, too. But I can get away with running two. Add to cart. I'm really tired of these commons. I'm going to bump it up to ultra. Add to cart. It can't be that much. I mean, they're just cards. (beeps) (peppy music)
