[Music] hey everybody welcome back to my Channel today we're going to do a Q&A and answer all of your questions that you had sent us but if you hear our washing machine it's literally right there and and the AC thing is right there and the AC just have to ignore the noises so let's just get into it so first question says are you James's son or Donna's son you tell me I am Donna's son he looks just like her it's true but I love James yes a lot definitely James is or JJ as as I call him as we call him um he is irreplaceable and he is great and he does not get enough credit shout out to JJ another question somebody asked is do we have any plans for our future and any plans for our house oh yes absolutely so the future the future of the house I guess so okay well priority number one is a back patio we definitely need a back patio pour we have been saving kind of for that trying to and um eventually we would like to add on if we stay here forever we plan on it certainly and it's only a two-bedroom little house so we definitely want to add on in the future we need a back porch and probably more Landscaping options and fits F privacy fence yes we did have a fence when we bought the house but it was dry rotted and so was the deck so that's why we had to build a new one another question asked what part of La am I from so I'm from Louisiana I grew up in Melville Louisiana which is a very small town most of my teenage years I lived in Baton Rouge so that's where I'm from Baton Rouge Louisiana got you a little Cajun Woman she can cook too y'all but he doesn't even like Cajun I like some Cajun stuff like crawfish they would be shocked to know of all of all the pickiness you have and what all you don't eat that's another video he doesn't eat rice y'all hate rice and I'm not afraid to say it did we grow up in Wiggins no I grew up very close to Wiggins but not not in Wiggins the boys are fighting y'all stop Arthur hey stop at foolishness when we say fighting we mean that they wrestle each other and they play crazy crazy what's all back there I don't know there's pillows and blankets on the floor it's fine another question asked where do we work I work for a company called armm I'm basic long story short I'm basically a farmer yes he spreads lime and fertilizer for his work I'm supervisor supervisor I currently do not work I was a full-time nanny for eight years that ended earlier this year I said goodbye to them and it was just time to move on and find something else it was a great eight years and I'm so thankful to have such an amazing job that God blessed me with it was a lot of fun and they will be my babies forever oh yeah so yeah so I was a Manny before that I worked in a fine dining restaurant in Baton Rouge as a teenager fan FY FY are we born again Christians oh yes definitely absolutely when is our anniversary October 24th I started to say 2015 but it is it is but it's our anniversary is October 24th every year yes so it is we got married 2015 not to be confused with 12 245 yeah not to be confused so one year for our anniversary or Christmas or something I bought him our anniversary I bought him a keychain that had our anniversary in it and instead of putting 10245 I put 12245 which is Christmas Merry Christmas how's your finger doing it's doing better it's uh not as bad as we thought it was it was just this part just the very tip is actually what shattered the rest of the finger is okay um just going to be a slow process a slow healing process yeah it's not as bad as we thought thank you for your prayers yes thank you much so much what is the story behind our piano so my piano I bought or didn't buy it was free on Facebook Marketplace and I've always wanted um a antique piano not really to play but to decorate with and just it's just a big beautiful piece of furniture I would love to play it but some of the keys are gone gone they're wonky and it really needs to be tuned but I really don't know how bad it is so we just haven't done that yet I think it's pretty bad but I love it and thanks to him he went and got it me and Tyler Gravely went and got it delena's husband delena's husband and God bless him for that it was very very heavy and the running joke that's not really a joke here is that that piano will stay here forever it's never going to move yes it's very heavy very heavy what is my favorite holiday to decorate for Christmas I would say Christmas absolutely Christmas how many boxes do I have of Christmas decorations we're talking like huge like storage bins the ones with the like the black ones with the yellow top I think we have two of those and then there's some smaller ones I think we have three three of those Maybe not maybe that's for a different holiday I think no cuz Christmas is the one you have the most of oh but you mean we have another oh yeah yeah yeah so we have two of those and then all the Christmas tree boxes four Christmas times yeah there's four Christmas trees one to yeah four Christmas trees y'all I just like it I really like it but I think I pushed myself too hard last year I agree with that I decorated a lot of client trees and I think I decorated almost 20 trees in total last year oh my word I remember that it was a lot I remember that that was a lot she did great though she always does another question asked do we sing yes yes he sings so amazing no no no he sounds just like Rascal Flats guy if y'all know who that is he sounds identical to him and he is the best singer I know no yes no yes you do yes you are thank you what are my favorite things to Thrift for so I really like Bard already no I just I'm checking out of this one cuz I don't know so I like to um find antique plates I really like um glass wear transfer wear I like knickknacks and China and small things small things so we call those uh chachis chies chis it's one of those words that sounds fake like the more you say it chachis chachis CH is it ch skis chachkies I guess right knickknacks they'll let us know yeah if y'all ever heard of that word chis somebody asked how long have you been a pastor and and how did you get into the ministry okay so for clarification I am not a pastor I do not Pastor a church but we are ministers and I've been in Ministry since I was well I was called into Ministry at 12 years old and I actually started ministering at uh about 16 or 17 something some around that time I ran from it for a long time but you can only run for so long yeah and now we we be ministering all the time it's true it's true or he does we we Minister it's a it's a we us thing here's a funny question what animal would be the cutest if scaled down to the size of a cat um a bear yes I cat siiz baby bear so I would I would choose a bear and a giraffe yeah we would be so cute sometimes we call Arthur Arthur Bear yeah there he is right there Hi Hey Arthur hey buddy I love him a bear a bear definitely for sure cuz even Cubs are bigger than cats right but think about a little baby tiger all the time that wouldn't get big that would be so or a lion yeah but it kind of would be close to Arthur Arthur is a little lion would you get in the lion cut no yes no oh my word they're not shaving my precious baby just once no he needs it anyway on his tail in no he doesn't on his tail in where it's all matted up it's not it is not matted he does a good job at grooming himself okay it's not there's a little spot where it's just one little little bitty tangle and and what's wrong with that spot mted means it's all tangled it's matted in that one spot don't talk about my baby like that I love him lion cut another question asked do we have hurricanes and how far do we live from the ocean we do have hurricanes yes we often we had one really bad hurricane while we lived in this house um it got really bad it was not ideal and we decided to stay but next time when there's a hurricane coming straight for us we decided that we're heading out like my even my parents were like y'all really need to come here but I mean they live in Louisiana it's just yeah but no the way that it we should have left like I was ready to go to Texas I was like hey you want to go she was like no no we can do this we did but not it won't happen again I will leave this house obviously the worst hurricane we experience was Katrina Katrina I think I was 10 years old or eight years old I don't remember and we live about less than an hour from the beach I guess you would say the the beach it's the Gulf of Mexico yeah it it's we don't swim there and you shouldn't either because they literally have up warnings don't swim in these areas because of the flesh eating bacteria like the known flesh eating bacteria if you come to see Donna do not get in the ocean don't do it you can ride on the ocean you can enjoy the sand yes and just drive two more hours to a gorgeous beach in the Florida Panhandle that it's worth it we are so lucky that we live so close to the um actual beautiful beaches though it's true not many people get to experience a good beach that's true how long have we been married we've been married for almost nine years this year almost nine years this October will be nine years which is really crazy to think about I know almost one decade almost a decade wow it doesn't seem like that long but it also I don't remember a life before it well there was no life before you it was just existence it's true how far do we live from Donna and JJ too far too far it's only like 40 45 minutes 45 minutes or so so we can go there like anytime and they can come here but it's too far for our liking we think they should live closer here like I agree everybody y'all just tell what you doing p in your shirt I was like oh you feeling that that good you might hurt yourself hold on y'all need to all comment on Donna's Channel and tell her she needs to move to Wiggins her both of her children live in Wiggins in fact Delena lives literally right there yeah so she's right by us yeah so petition Donna to move to Wiggins absolutely someone asked if we could tell more about our church so yeah we definitely can our church is Word Alive Revival Center here in Wiggins yeah he's wearing his hat um we're biased but we think it's the greatest Church in the world absolutely absolutely we have uh a wonderful church family our leadership is great um the slogan of our church is it's not about religion it's all about relationship meaning relationship with God um I've never been in a church quite like that before and this has just we've been going there for almost almost 9 years so uh it's great and if you ever are in the area you're invited we'd love to see you a church alive is worth the drive that's another slogan we have now to get into the most frequently asked questions you had to be very gentle there but it would look so weird it was so weird but I had to do it okay so people obviously want to know when we are going to have children so the answer is that we don't know um for the in the past we have just been okay with it just being us we've grown quite used to it just being us for the last nine years we're very spoiled with our time and selfishness and we like to just get up and go when we want to but I will have to admit lately we have had some baby fever and and we'll see what happens we'll see so the final question and the most asked question out of all this is the big one the big one is our love story and how we met and all of that so buckle up it's quite lengthy and we won't get into all of the details we do have a podcast episode that is from Cody's podcast my previous podcast yes was it the table was the it's called the table I will link it in the description box below he doesn't do that podcast anymore he actually has another one called pray before chips and um y'all should check it out I've been on a uh is it called a Hiatus yeah I've been on a like a four month Hiatus sabatical break if you will and um but that I'm about to be ramping it back up U and so if you're not subscribed yet to pray before chips you should do that because that way you won't miss any of the future episodes that are coming very soon absolutely so the story so the story of how we met so it starts off when I was a kid around 8 years old six six seven eight years old I was always told I was going to marry a Mississippi preacher my aunts who were like my grandmothers my Aunt Diane and Aunt Linda they always told me that I would marry a Mississippi preacher for no reason I had no connection in Mississippi and I just grew up believing it they just always told me that I looked like I would be a preacher's wife one day and um so I just I just believed it growing up and around 12 years old I met a lady who actually prophesied over my life and told me that I did have a calling and for me to walk in that calling of being an evangelist's wife and um so I just knew as a teenager I would eventually marry a preacher I didn't know when and I didn't know how soon that would happen but it happened pretty quickly I was very young and yeah so one day I was working at a radio station I worked at a radio station as a DJ for years and I had uh my laptop out I was on Facebook and one day I get a u I started say prayer request I got a friend request from this girl named Sarah and I didn't know her but we we had a lot of mutual friends so I accepted it I could not help but notice how beautiful she was and so I was like accept and then I went on about my business and a few minutes later U she sent me a message and she was it was something along the lines of uh do we know each other so the reason why this happened was because I had a ton of mutual friends with him I went to Camp like used camp summer camp with a bunch of his friends I met a ton of people through that and I was starting to come to Mississippi to see those friends and I thought we had met during those times but I had never been to camp before but turns out he had never been to camp but I mean I was so close with even some of his best friends even and um but we had never met before so through that we began to chat and talk and we remained friends for a few years and then eventually I just you know know I was teenager I started talking to different guys and dating other people and so did he and we just kind of just fell out of touch fell out of touch and fizzled out as friends now mind you I thought that one reason that happened well well surely I must have done something wrong like I I couldn't figure out what it could have been but I was like man I've made her mad at me and so I moved on from this but I never did forget about her and I always wondered like I wonder what that Sarah girl is doing I wonder what happened with Sarah like I wonder what I did I wonder cuz I would even like uh even though we weren't talking to each other we were still friends on Facebook we followed each other on Instagram um but like nothing ever happened and it was just like kind of frustrating but yeah but it really it wasn't the right time obviously we're 5 years apart in age so that had a lot to do with it yeah um like he said he was a DJ for a southern gospel radio station and my mom knew he was a DJ but she thought he was like a party DJ like a wiked DJ and he was actually just spending some southern gospel Aaron crab crab family Jason Crab hanging out with them quartets yes and uh so um so we didn't talk for years and then on January 20th 2015 I was sitting at work and I had a notification from Facebook that it was Cody D's birthday and I said I wonder what he's been up to I haven't heard from him in years let me just see if I still have his number in my phone so I scrolled down my contacts and I still had a number for him so I just sent out a simple little happy birthday text and I get the most embarrassing reply ever that says who is this so first I just said thanks and then I sent another text said who is this and here here's why here's what was happening on my end I was working at the shipyard living a miserable existence and I had just gotten a new phone I lost all my contacts and I didn't even care I was just like I'll start over it's fine so all day long that day I had been getting messages from all these random numbers and I had just been saying thanks put my phone away thanks put my phone away I didn't care I was so miserable and sad that I just didn't care and then uh I get another message from another number and it's happy birthday and I was like thanks but then something happened I was I could not get away from that particular text I was like who is that I wonder who that is the number was a little weird and of course I I mean other numbers were weird too but um that she was the first and only one that I followed up with asking hey I just got a new phone I lost my contacts who is this or whatever and she said this is Sarah and my mind just I was like oh my gosh I couldn't believe it I could not believe it and though and so then we uh we started talking that day and just catching up over the years yeah we were asking about each other's life and each other's families and just catching up like you said and like we talked all day all night but very quickly into the conversation we were like we are both grown we should actually meet face to face yeah we should do that yeah cuz at this point we had never met officially so we that was on January 20th so on February 7th we decided to meet in goport Mississippi which was about an hour for him and about two two hours for me and she told me that goport was the halfway point and I'm like I didn't care I didn't care at all we planned to meet on that day and we did we had an amazing first date it was literally like a fairy tale I fell in love with him in L and so did he but he didn't admit it I didn't either really I couldn't admit you you did I mean you you you were pretty open about the fact that cuz I mean I just not in like a cringy way it was in like a so listen this is what it is now what are we going to do about it and I was like well everything just fell into place so quickly like and I just knew when you know you know I had been dating people just like she had and there came a point in time where God was very clear that I was to stop doing that and um it was very very difficult but I took the time to just stop I had no official girlfriend or nothing like that for for a long time and so fast forward into meeting her I still haven't been released to uh to date anyone so I wanted to obviously I wanted to but it was like I don't want to lead her on and make it seem like it's something that it's not I have to hear something from from God and um there's a friend of ours in of of did you ever meet him there was a friend of ours at the time my family friend that um he's a very mighty man of God and out of nowhere one day he had had a dream that of of the girl that I was going to marry and he called us and gave us a description and uh of course you know how human nature is I start going down the list and checking off this one checking can't be hurt can't be hurt you know very um detailed and very detailed even some specific details about like the way that her hair when the Sun hits it it looks lighter than what it is but in the winter it's a little bit darker like so very DET said you know her but y'all have never met you know her but you've never met but you will serve in Ministry together and I'm like that's very exciting now her name is you know all these details but no idea who it is and so I'm I'm waiting on that I'm waiting on like this person I'm like is it her her hair is dark her eyes are it like I'm over here like you know com not comparing but like seeing if she's got the qualifiers that were given to me yeah and we had posted a picture together and um after we started dating we started dating we had posted a p cuz cuz that backing up a little bit I felt released to ask her to be my girlfriend which was very exciting to to me cuz that was something that had not happened for years and I'm like well if you're letting me ask her to be my girlfriend does that mean that she's the one so um we posted a picture and my mama they call her the mama the mama the mama uh sent this picture to this man and said is this the girl that you saw in your in the vision or the dream or whatever it was and he said yeah that's her and so that was related to me and I'm just like all right let's go let's let's do this so we did uh I Enga I engaged I proposed in uh April the 12th on April the 12th and when I say things moved quickly very quickly they moved quickly very quickly um not because we were in a rush or anything but it was just so evident that we belonged together well in fact we were going to wait longer we were going we were going to wait to the next year the F so so we would have got married in 2016 MH but her dad of of all people was like well hey look if you know if you know you know like why wait and so we were like that's a good point pops yeah and so we went on and got married of and not we first date in February asked her to be my girlfriend later February M engaged April 12th married October 24th all in the same year all in the same year and that was almost 10 years ago almost 9 years ago SL 10 years ago yeah I mean it couldn't have been pointed out clear for us and how God orchestrated every single detail and blessed us so much in that year it was mind-blowing the day after we got engaged a key was handed to us for our very first home paid for in full and it was the perfect little house and um we will never forget our little granny calls it our honeymoon Hill yeah that's what she called it and it was just such a sweet time our life and we were so blessed and we are still so blessed the Bible says that when a man finds a wife he finds a good thing and I agree oh I found the best oh thank you so yeah but speaking of our wedding day how was our wedding day honey hurricane is speaking of hurricanes Patricia Hurrican Patricia was an Uninvited Guest on our wedding day we had an outdoor wedding which I never was like fully in favor of I was like but you know how it is my not say this like a smart Elway the wedding is all for her like that's I want her have he want it that way I want I wanted it to be like what she wanted yeah but I was very open about the fact of Outdoors is a bad idea and sure enough yeah sure enough it it was rough it was very wet it was so wet and muddy good Lord but it got accomplished it got accomplished and you know what's funny is here's how the wedding day was love our family love our friends so thankful everybody came out when we left the next day to go to the mountains for on honeymoon we did not speak about the wedding we didn't talk about it at all not one word was spoken we didn't talk about the wedding for months months we were just like traumatic we were not ready to talk about I didn't care I didn't care that it rained what what I was so upset about is how other people put forth so much effort into making it perfect for us and like things that my parents did and his parents did and they they worked so hard for the things that we wanted and it didn't get to happen because of the rain that's what upset me and all the people that drove and had to park so far away and had to walk in the rain and just so sorry y'all I still feel bad like like even now thinking back it's not that it rained on us I could care less I don't wor about that um but it was just sad to see how many people had to endure the rain and the mud and the mess and and everybody says like well if it rains when you're wedding that means you'll always have good luck you know yada yada now nobody complained one person complained did they one person complained it's fine I understand I complain too yeah so but anyway everybody said it was like a Pride and Prejudice wedding and and uh maybe I can insert some pictures and show them how how rainy and muddy it was you should do that at the end yeah but anyway is there anything else we want to talk about I
