Yellowstone Top 5 Attractions for Kids | Travel with Kids 2018

hi guys welcome back to Carlo corner I recently went on a family vacation to Yellowstone National Park and these are my top 5 must-see attractions [Music] number 5 Midway Geyser Basin Midway Geyser Basin is a small area of hot springs along the Yellowstone's Firehole River this area includes the third largest hot spring in the world the colorful Grand Prismatic spring prismatic means brilliantly coloured Midway Geyser Basin is also home to the world's largest and now dormant guys excelsior geyser a geyser has a pool of hot water that boils and shoots water way up into the air a doormat geyser is one that has not erupted in a very long time the Walker on Midway Geyser Basin is an easy point eight mile loop on an eighth maintained boardwalk and is even stroller friendly number four roaring Mountain [Music] fire it's just steam escaping escaping from the mountains we go roaring Mountain is a big hill filled with many fuels fumaroles are cracks or openings and the earth first being escapes growing mountain got its name from the sound it used to make that point it was first discovered there in 1800s I said you could the four mother that's a long way I picked this as my number four attraction because I think it's neat to see the steam powering the whole mountain right Mountain is a great attraction for people of all ages to visit because it is right off one of Yellowstone's main roads and you don't have to hike to a number three fountain paint pot salt-n-pepa is the only area in Yellowstone that has all four types of hydrothermal features geysers Hot Springs mud pots and few moles the trail is an easy half-mile loop on a boardwalk our is bison catches grass let's see oh there's some right there growing a little bit over there [Music] [Music] what's created by earthquakes in 1959 a 7.3 magnitude earthquake known as a huge inflate earthquake hit the hosts own area and created or changed many features mrs. Baumann paint-pot made my list of top 5 attractions because I like how there were so many interesting and different things to see in one small area number 2 brink of Lower Falls Trail [Music] the hike to the edge of Yellowstone's Lower Falls is point 4 miles each way with a 300-foot change in elevation the height might be difficult for younger kids but Preston made it just fine by writing on dads and grandpas shoulders we had to hike all the way down here from way up there the height gives a great view of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone it's cool to see how much water spills over the edge of the farm ready rested and ready to hike back up o hike or you mean it's a ride on getting super rigueur to consider hiking I want to hike if that's what you consider hiking number one Old Faithful geyser [Music] I'm almost getting it away with a video trying to take a quarter corner she's getting in the way things gonna be a tough Iver dad oh there goes well Preston you see it did you like you're pressing what is that is blowing up Wow that's called the geyser what Faithfull is one of six geysers in Yellowstone that has a predictable eruption time the geyser erupts every 60 to 100 10 minutes and will erupt for about one and a half to five minutes or Faithful shoots water about 130 feet into the air that's about seven mildrith standing on each other's heads after watching the eruption you can grab a bite to eat at the Old Faithful Inn or the Old Faithful Lodge [Music] and with pickles and we're right out here by old faithful [Music] what do you think thumbs up don't forget to learn something new every day [Music]
