Yellowstone National Park with Kids in One Day | Yellowstone NP Top Actractions with Young Children

[Music] hey everyone holly here today i am talking about yellowstone national park as we all know yellowstone is a huge national park with so many things to visit and see when you go there so what do you do if you only have one full day to spend there and i'm talking about with young kids so in today's video i'm going to talk about how to utilize your time the best there if you only had one full day with little kids and what is the best route to take but before i get started if you have not subscribed to my channel please do so right now i got a lot of great stuff on the way okay let's talk about one full day at yellowstone with kids make your very first stop at the old faithful area this area is going to get so busy as the day moves on so you are going to want to hit this area first thing now besides old faithful itself there is a lot of geysers in that area so you can easily spend half a day in that area but when you first get to the old faithful area check out when old faithful is gonna erupt and try and see that first show because like i said it gets really crowded over there as the day goes on you will definitely not regret getting a front row seat for when old faithful erupts enjoy the show while you're there take it all in it's definitely worth seeing and seen in a good seat if you happen to get one it's definitely something that the whole family will enjoy i know our kids definitely got a kick out of it after you are done watching old faithful erupt hit the trails make sure you pack some water maybe some snacks and go and see all the many many different geysers that are in the old faithful area i really enjoyed how all the trails there were paved for the most part so that way if you do have little ones you can push them around in their stroller as well as carry all your water and snacks with you because it is a lot of walking around and that is something convenient to have when you have young ones and it makes it a lot more enjoyable just to get around that whole area there is just so much to see so many cool geysers that kids will just be in of and you never know when any of them are going to erupt too which is really cool because you can walk by one and it could go off at any time you're definitely in for a surprise when you walk around the geyser area we definitely enjoyed spending a full morning just walking around all the many geysers at the old faithful area [Music] [Applause] [Music] do [Music] do [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] do [Music] you never know when you're gonna spot some cool wildlife there was some bison just hanging out there in the field there's definitely other things to do in the old faithful area there is a great visitor center there that you can check out and also the old faithful inn is a really cool historical building that is very very neat to see inside as well we always like to get press pennies made which is a great inexpensive souvenir and the old faithful lodge has a press penny machine there if you enjoy collecting that sort of thing once you have spent a full morning at the old faithful area hop on the road and drive up north just about 15 minutes and you will want to stop at the grand prismatic spring the grand prismatic spring is a must see if you visit yellowstone national park there are two different vantage points for observing the grand prismatic spring you can see it right there up close on the boardwalk or you can take the trail that is going to take you up higher where you can look down at the spring now again only having one day at yellowstone you're going to want to choose either the trail or up close i do recommend the trail because it has the better view it is going to show you the colors more vibrantly when you are up high like that but if you are going to do the trail be prepared make sure you pack plenty of water maybe even some snacks for this hike this hike is totally doable for little ones but i am just saying to be prepared with water and possibly use the restrooms ahead of time also parking at both places can fill up fast so you might have to wait for a parking spot as well is something to be aware of and once you have checked out the grand prismatic spring hop in your car and drive a little over an hour to the canyon village area and there you will want to check out the upper and lower waterfalls in this beautiful canyon it is a must see i think for visiting yellowstone national park towards the end of the day it's not going to be as crowded over there and there are a lot of great hiking trails you can do small trails you can do to see the waterfalls from different vantage points so it is definitely worth checking out a lot of great photo opportunities now the lighting might not be as great the later you get there but it still is very spectacular and we still really enjoyed what we were able to see when we went at the end of our day at yellowstone so definitely check out the upper and lower waterfalls in this beautiful canyon of yellowstone [Music] well that is all i have for you on one full day at yellowstone park i hope that this was helpful i know that yellowstone has so much to offer and to try and do one day at yellowstone you are only going to be able to see a small part of it but my intention with this video is to show you how you definitely could see a lot in one day and i wanted to emphasize the top attractions the attractions that were really great to do with young kids i hope that this gave you some ideas on how to see some of the top things and make a good route of it you will also just see plenty of great scenery just driving around the park a lot of bison that's for sure and if you're lucky maybe you'll even have a bison walk up to your car like we had when we went if you
