I love the mental image of what this would translate to in real time.

This one fucking guy runs into this highly defended base. The aliens all notice him immediately and go to surround him. Stupid human. What was he expecting to happen? Time to die.

And then he flash steps around like a combination shounen protagonist action movie hero, killing 9 people dozens of metres apart from each other before the aliens are even able to react, let alone move.

Half of these kills are achieved by this anime protagonist running up to people in this high tech military base, some of whom have superpowers, and cutting them down with a single sword strike.

Tactical Analysis is so unfair. That ranger got about 10 actions in one turn while the aliens are all limited to one for the turn they are revealed.

That guy was fed speed while the aliens probably got some sleeping pills in their advent burgers.

This guy either has restless leg syndrome or his dick kept on hitting the underside of his desk as he pulled this off. Nevertheless the noise was distracting.

okay what I'm gonna do is make this single soldier grain bandit Smith cross almost the entire map trigger every enemy kill like a dozen guys and not take a single hit in the space of a single turn start with overdrive serum which you get by researching mutants means you can run father then we're gonna activate the Reaper ability which means you can keep on doing so the taxes on this has killed something with each one now we go to a skirmish character called MOX who has something called combat presence which grants a single extraction mate which means arranged here can now cover three you know three moves all at once that takes them right to the mission objective which is to plant some c4 in a pack an access point not something much of a muchness normally it takes you know three or four turns just to get that far but thanks to all this stuff like you get in pretty much at the door look what happens all these enemies spotting him on route to prepare for a bit of a way here cuz everybody knows he's their single going this would obviously be just a recipe for disaster standard XCOM to those here like Andromeda's and icons and heavy turrets it's suicide clearly it's a suicide mission and he's run out of a point so I'll just left them in the middle there what a stupid thing to do the guy is gonna die all in the first 10 and here's the lost as well you set off some zombies these zombies the lost would actually attack both XCOM and Advent you can kind of use them to your advantage little bit you really can't rely on it so uh definitely unwise have a bunch of these herding around my guy here because he's the I am the open number and make a beeline for him so what to do well we're gonna switch to and it's bond mate I like sad sack Nia that's me because they become besties over the course of the game they can also grant each other bonus moves just one or two per turn depending on how high ranking the Monday's he's got one point left cuz I activated Reaper earlier with a single this single action point he's got he can just start chopping and stuff as long as he kills an enemy he can do it but actually I should start by shooting lots of it every time you shoot to lost you kill and you get your acting point back so I can polish off a couple of those because they're pretty easy to do and I still got all my key fact I've got both of us had to point after that cuz I could clear that I'm moving don't entirely understand the mass but I will take it now to do the sword strike I want to take out the shield bearer cuz three blobs of shield to every enemy here next and that's gonna make life much harder with each sword strike it does one point less of damage so I need to be a little bit thoughtful about what I go for here I probably can't just get rid of some general had been order I reckon you see I've cut any flavor off over the map without having movement per se but the sword kind of includes a movement so it's a good way to dance about the place even on just a single point still on the first character of the first time and that's for five things he's killed already and he still did an action point he hasn't taken any damage and oh good we just triggered even more enemies to sectoid gatekeeper now I could on carry on bothering the Advent here but my concern is those sectoid on the next turn both gonna try and mind control my guy and so I'm gonna end up with one of my soldiers off in enemy ranks enemy use my remaining Reapers folks these guys loads of guys sort of over on the left they're all clustered and I'm now off in the wilderness getting further or further away from my destination I could looks like I've seen a couple more lost you know I'll take my chances on these if I miss Li shots then kind of stuck it's a bit risky make sure he's definitely done so I've still got an action point still got sort of a free sword strike if I need it from Reaper and if I manage to kill these lost with a gun blast and I get my point back to do another one seven eight enemies all down single character single turn oh well I missed I'm not great at a weapon which means it still does three points of damage I've also got an upgrade with the hair trigger which has a 15% chance for free action which happened there that was that was miraculous so I get yet another chance I'm gonna not take any chances here use my sword on him a bit of cover that's it my points are gone and I know he has still got a point of course cuz it was Reaper headshot I've got another lost thing that's good I've got another point left what should I do is there anything I can kill don't think so I can do some damage to a heavy turret on to the gatekeeper but I'm just gonna be left standing they're too heavy things well there's a 60% sword chance on an Advent guy I don't like those odds 60% I think what I might do maybe soften up the gatekeeper I can't kill him but he's such a big enemy that anything I can do at this stage just to start making inroads into him probably make sense or should I do the turrets I'm up on the roof mmm what I want to do is get close to my objective again that thing of attack so if I do that I've taken four points because you got so much armor a lot a lot I've left my left bandit just standing there in the wilderness in the middle of everything fortunately his bone mate can give him you one more - this match I'm using them both up in this first turn but what it means is I can send bandit right over to the access point very supposed to be again the kind of place I wouldn't normally have been for three or four turns into a match and he's in some pretty good cover there it's not high cover but it covers a lot of sides so he's got a chance of surviving this but there are a lot of enemies still around what I'm gonna do next is use my specialist atom professor Smith he's a protocol to stick a sort of Defense Grid on him which just gives him a better chance of surviving any attacks it's not gonna keep them alive necessarily it just perhaps the odds what now all these guys are far too far away to do anything useful send this guy my Templar it's a girl rather Lexie as far forward as she can no good I've already uncovered everything on the map there's a few more guys hiding there Lexie is stuck there without any points what she has done is create a line of sight other turret the one I didn't kill I can now use specialists hacking protocols lucky miss cross got it we've now got a turret on our side right in right in the half of where most of the enemies of coverage let's me see what's going on couple of pot shots those turrets of pretty bad aim so I'll eat my hat if it doesn't need significant damage but more to the point it's just something else for the enemies to attack instead of Dan bandit which gives him another fighting chance just turn of turns I'm gonna send my Reaper who's a sort of stealth sniper forwards can't see any enemies but she can use her remote detonation thing to blow up anything explosive it's kind of a little wasteful but I'm just interested in maximizing nooks that and that takes out a single lost which also draws a lost swarm closer that'll be fun fun fun on subsequent turns that's double thicker kills by now back to the turret I get free action not gonna be able to kill anything it's just a question of what I I do get two shots anyway with the turrets cuz they don't move I gotta schooled both shots on this guy that would have been one more down I think I'll just leave that in oh boy could be useful too there's some crowd control on the enemy turn I'm gonna do is use Moxa's bond mate point in addition to his combat presence thing to give Lexy another move I reckon she could take out a couple of loss just to stop them bobbing her next turn this one yes then she gets a pop another one 95 that should be fine so that's still standing it's not so bad right alien turn now of nanocloud which makes them very very hard to hear as they run that's all my turret can do I've got no one on overwatch and this turret as I hoped they're wasting their shots on one of their own which is very silly because it would have come back to them in a couple of turns anyway my goal is to end this turn with ban Panda here not having taken any damage it's very least remaining alive slew of kills what's the gate that's the biggest player on the board so I'm gonna be worrying about that making some kind of size zombie I think that's not too big a deal you know I'm not even sure which of my characters is cause this thing a free overwatch shot there which is another ability I bought for bandish he didn't hit but you see what you can get the same number of attacks the aliens have taken out their own turret oh and we get bladestorm by her as well if an enemy comes with a melee range he automatically attacks it didn't kill the Archon but more loss coming in it's me they're just gonna bother me and that's it turn to no damage what's that fifteen enemies done I will take that that is how XCOM 2 or of the chosen can go because everyone is now a super hero for better or worse
