when you start out with a really good car we end up with a fantastic you know super muscle car Barry White's excited now this is beautiful an absolutely gorgeous he's found a one-in-a-million Ford Torino I've got like five items but yet that should drive itself to auction so we don't have any body work outside of maybe half a dozen hours this speed shots even got time to goof off some details for the doors Brandon your honor on this car it's bad but then just go front of it now looks it looks like fun I know you said cycle paint reality shaggy we have no engine we have no transmission we have no parts how to make a buck the Barry White Way just rip that sub find a wreck that's exactly what we're looking for you sleep underneath there get the right people do something the right parts you and you go to work bring it on then hope someone wants to buy it money bring you happiness that's how you get from wrecks to riches [Music] at Barry White speed shop in Corona California he builds high-end hot rods but he's also developed his own breed of super muscle cars he sells at auction [Music] his mission transform ten old muscle cars into modern performance machines in its many months as well as time his other enemy is rust some of his past wrecks put him behind the eight-ball to start so this time round he's out to find a wreck in good condition perfect scenario would be a little old lady car oh yeah something somebody's kept and it hasn't been all beat up his next deadline is the lucemon steel auction in Scottsdale Arizona in four weeks and their target is a car both Barry White and his wife loved in their courting days that I had for my first car I'd be cooler here I used to talk about Aunt Shirley's car yes it was a bash back mine was the coupe I used to steal that one didn't tell her 14 seconds in the quarter mile Ford released the Torino back in 1968 to eventually replace the popular Fairlane badge it was labeled for its newest bright idea the base two-door coupe had an economical six-cylinder engine but the top-of-the-line v8 Cobra Jet came with a fastback and 428 cubic inches of muscle all Barry can find in this junkyard is rusty I can't say that it's a it's the answer yet I'd really still like to find a better a better it's not worth bringing back from the dead beat us senseless we could bring one of these home it's not the first time wrecking yards haven't delivered in fact the team is often finding gold by trawling the net they sent me the photos of this thing it looks amazing the nice clean car it's our original six-cylinder three on the tree car many miles run there's like sixty nine hundred and something really yeah it's all original car huh yeah that's what they're saying what do they want for it it's a little pricey though it's like 12 grand make a hell of a super muscle car all right let's call her up and let's hook it up let's go take a look at and see what what it looks like sounds good Hey this is Toni I'm Chris it's almost too good to be true so Chris is taking the speed shops paint-and-body lesser by Toni career to check it out see so far 69 hundred mile plus T not a drive one of these things it's three on the tree two [Music] see anything under there it's like a time capsule cutting any dirt little sick cylinder and a big old Torino like this Gorillaz old tiny motor will be reset I have to do anything for once I may actually be able to get all the parts Berger hey Barry this is Chris Tony and I are over looking at that Torino how good's it look this thing is amazing you should see this I mean it's it's like spotless it's got the original tires on it we crawled all over it looked in the trunk there's no moisture in the trunk or anything I mean it's perfect okay sounds good Tony how much rust is in the car its original paint that's been clear coated over probably got about five hours worth of dents in this car something I think would get done in about four or five days in a body shop this car is about as straight as it's gonna get all the original trims on it we don't have to buy nothing interior it's spotless we can't lose on this deal so if it looks good let's just get it obviously this belong to some little old lady because this looks too good to be true no and he said okay so we'll do it [Music] one very rare plain-jane Ford Torino cool at $12,000 Berry's biggest first hit and the spend ometer so far when you start out with a really good car you end up with a fantastic you know super muscle car and that's what the whole idea is is beautiful absolutely gorgeous the guys just can't believe their luck we don't have any body work outside of maybe a maybe a half a dozen hours total just absolutely better than advertised I mean you just don't find these things I mean you're just lucky and for one for the internet we probably wouldn't even you wouldn't find this kind of stuff as far as turning into super muscle car we'd pretty much want to retain the outside appearance because if you would have bought a cobra jet car or something like that in the in the 70s you would have got this car with the big engine so we'll kind of stay on that theme and keep it kind of that way but this isn't a real desirable color you know it's not a color that's gonna get a lot of money at the auction that's the key and that's what we got it bottom line is that's what we got to have this is the best wreck they've ever started with for once it may not be a race to the wire I got all the pieces off I'm gonna try to save all the all the rubber it is in excellent shape so I don't care there's no reason to buy it no we're gonna put right back on the car save you some money oh yeah this records coming off on one piece really the clue that's soft enough to reuse it yeah perfect this spotless Torino should be a godsend for Chris it shouldn't need too many replacement parts the spill it's gonna be easier I believe the most of the other ones the cars in phenomenal shape everything on this car is absolutely pristine basically we got some bodywork to do but not much you know we got to fill a few holes we're gonna fill in the side markers like we've done in all the cars I can't leave anything alone so we're gonna do what we do best and put a big block in it make it go fast perfect it may be but it's still a plane Jing and there should be nothing playing about a Barry White super muscle car we definitely need a little bling on this car it's it's definitely blowing free at the moment with the dog dish hubcaps and the little tiny tires and no trim so you know we don't really want to make this car just have this great eye appeal like what we like to call highball the cars gonna have a lot of high ball so that we can get a lot of attention for it and then hopefully a lot of money [Music] we're gonna get all everything welded up I'm assuming we'll have body and primer on the car today I'm ready for paint come Monday Tony's panel team sets about sharpening every line [Music] they start by building up the panels with a coat of bondo then it's a matter of sanding a back to create sharper edges it was a straight car to begin with and Tony and the boys got ahold of it and you know sharpen it up even more [Music] [Applause] in just two days a record the Torino is ready for paint the speed shop is cruising [Music] kabbadi my honey believe sharp as a razor you could shave on that body line oh yeah it's sharp I'm excited about this car because it's gonna be probably the easiest car as far as getting some of the restoration stuff I've got like five items to get for the car as far as restoration parts are concerned and a lot of times that's the hardest stuff to get so far it's a cakewalk how long can this last [Music] the Russo and Steele Auto Auction is in just over three weeks hundreds of cars from around America line up on the block it's a gamble for buyers and sellers but this time around Barry White's making it easy for himself and the team see I told you someday I'd give you an easy one to do for just 12 grand he scored a 71 Ford Torino that's far from the wreck viens it has less than 7,000 miles on it's pretty unbelievable just to find a car like that they should be on easy street if they do it right Barry could triple his money with the right buyer [Music] now it's big decision time what shade of blue yeah if we're gonna go with something dark I think we need to need to have a little bit of pearl or something that to make it pop on the white well what color we gonna do we're not gonna do true blue so we're gonna go darker than true blue true blue was the color buried chose for a previous Super muscle car a Pontiac GTO but when it came to auction no one was buying 45 out of 46 45 to 46 we're not quite there game we're within $10,000 as selling you that car but I got to be at 55 to sell you that car today the GTO was passed on at 46,000 maybe blue is a bad omen I don't mind that that's this is over white base coat here yeah I want it blue we don't want the thing black okay magic blue but Barry's a gambler magic blue it is front fenders the hood and real tail molding are first up for the base coat we're gonna do the car this afternoon get these parts done let him set up here and dry it in the boat we'll roll the car in the boat here he's spending four grand on this paint job revving the speedometer to 16 grand but only 30 work hours I like looks good we wanted a dark royal that's what we got one of the things that all the high-end Torinos and Mustangs had back then was a big shaker hood scoop on the cars that had big-block motors to give this car that masculine image that it needs to have to be a super muscle car really needs a heavens so to show off that shaker Barry's ordered a seriously powerful John Barrett 521 Cobra Jet motor it's attached to the motor when you read the motor the scoop moves around and shakes and vibrations out of paint the trouble-free torino is ready for the mechanicals until Barry notices a problem that's wrong it's too light the colors right on the money looks like to me some of the panel's seem to be lighter than the body no it looks it looks like total I know you said it's light will paint it which way did you paint the fender standing up like this or laying down because all these colors with the pearls and stuff smart fender what's just like this just like that with 25 years in the business Barry knows every pitfall what typically happens is we've learned over the years if you're gonna paint a door you have to paint the door in the position that it's gonna hang it it has to you can't lay it down flat you know the hoods you can lay down flat as a hood lays down flat but defenders and doors and have to be sitting at the angles they are because of the way the gravity pulls the paint if you lay it down flat the gravity's pulling directly down on it if you lay it if you stand it up the gravity is pulling down on the edge on the paint so it changes the look the color the way the color looks to your eye this is just what Tony and doesn't mean I'm just saying that the fender to me it looks like doesn't it to you really I mean come on well it was going too smoothly the panels are going back to the paint booth [Music] Berry's formula of building super muscle cars is gathering a cult following outside the auction houses I got a good customer mine that's a biker he and the owner of the company into cars and stuffs that I've talked about coming out here giving us a hand on this car this cars no not a crazy bill so they volunteered come on give us a hand with these cyclists are more at home making precision bicycles so we're gonna do today is motor trans out we want to pressure wash the inside inch department through all the dust and dirt out of the thing we'll do the inner inner fenders in the front first job 14 pedal power is to strip down the car ready for the rebuild it's more complicated than a bicycle but they aren't exactly greenhorns I grew up in the 70s that was my hair I was in the muscle car I just you know the generation before me was doing the hot rods the 32 Ford's and you know the Bantam roadsters and everything and you know now everybody's fed in now the next generation it's coming on to building the muscle car where it's at right now looks like conversion is just getting easier haven't had to say word to mother than to get it out of there I'm a big Ford fan and actually was a little sad to see the inline six-cylinder go because I'm a bit of an inline fan as well [Music] you guys are all in the fire so they're not afraid of it jumping right in have that motor out of here pretty quick what's that fuel tank [Music] underneath it grab that goes to the rear axles they'll be fret four nuts holding on to you bolts just back to that soft metal working and wrench it on bikes and stuff is a completely different world than the muscle cars and stuff but we're having a good time with it [Music] those guys are fired up excited you know they're ready they're into this thing so it's it's nice it's nice to have it built in like that the biggest problem so far is the panel paint but Tony's guys work into the night respraying time to find out if they've solved the problem that's way closer this is the same color at the body this was painted with all these parts it's way closer is it or is it not closer that's it that's right on the repaint has cost him two grand revving the speedometer to 18,000 but only 80 work hours how long can the trouble-free Torino keep its name [Music] less than three weeks to the Scottsdale auction where Barry White hopes to make a killing with his trouble-free Torino he could win big here lots of people lots of money and so far the bill has been the easiest one yet not only did they start with a car that was far from Iraq but Barry's getting plenty of help from some muscle car fans more used to pedal power than horsepower it's cleaning stuff up let's get the front end back together and that least that would be a hundred percent done this plain-jane Torino is going to get a big-block 521 v8 and hood shaker to add to its aggressive low ride like to clean up the front suspension we got some wire brushes and stuff just kind of clean it up we need to cut one coil out of the springs when you're cutting the coil wants you to cut it right there the core was in such good condition many of the original parts can stay but Barry's counting on Kris to source the big things like engine and transmission and he's just hit a speed bump manual transmission is one of those I'm having a hard time getting them to return my call deals they were supposedly going to know Saturday but I never got any information out of me this could be trouble because Barry in the cyclists are steaming ahead and soon they're going to need the big stuff but we got French socks we got Springs we pretty much finished the front suspension the master cylinder we can go ahead and take off and then cap the lines we're gonna put electric power brakes in it that should be coming hopefully soon I'm trying to get a whole them again today I've got two different contacts at that company I've left messages for both so we're gonna keep following those guys it's not Chris's week along with his parts headache he just crashed berry shop car a regular freeway system was all blocked with traffic and somebody decided they didn't want to be in there anymore at a very slow speed pulled through the cones and it basically just blocked the whole road and I tried to drive around him and and couldn't so I ended up bouncing off his car into the wall I don't know what the outcome of this deal is gonna be yet Chris may not like the outcome the regular shop guys are scheming with Barry for some payback I was thinking you know Chris wrecked the focus I think I think we should build them a car really big and bulky we might be able to get them maybe a twenty or thirty dollar car that'd be hilarious kidding me that'd be perfect that'd be great everybody can pitch in oh well I don't think there's a guy here's a wooden pitch in well you talk to the rest of the guys all right collectively figure it out yeah so it's another trip to the junkyard Chris you remember Chris crash the focus yeah the boys at the shop who decided they want to try to replace that for him they're willing to throw in you know twenty thirty dollars to do this is he good at bodywork does Chris look like he could draw it this car is never gonna start again Chris has a starting problem already does it really about a station wagon station wagon yeah station wagon my work wonder if it runs well I don't know guys this is a nice touch this is kind of growing this was gonna take a while I don't know if we get this running in a day whatever they end up with Chris is in for a shock with such an easy bill Barry should have time for hijinks he's ahead of schedule and ready to upgrade the braking system now ready to start doing brakes most of the original front end stays but the old drum brakes are making way for four-wheel discs we got brakes rotors mounts get the whole brake kit I'll go pull that brake kit out okay okay that's fronts it's the wrong set of brakes what brakes did you order for the front of this Torino what spindles Chris's week is about to get worse the front not the back he's out chasing the engine and transmission Trina with disc brakes her drum brakes and he's going to come home to a storm no he's apparently told him that we had disc brakes on this car and it was a drum break car so we have the wrong caliper mount can we go ahead and put the spindles on we have to wait to put the spindles on it's not the first time he's ordered the wrong brakes then he should ask ya you'd think why is he creating this drama for me know any better how you coming Tim ten seconds they're staying busy doing all kinds of stuff but just gets a little aggravating work on the front end has to stop if so the team removes the clutch and steering column to convert this tree shifter into a super muscle auto so when I get the steering column out because we're going on an automatic shifter column pedal if somebody's got to come out because now we got an automatic brake pedal ya know so we don't have a buck pedal assembly in there right Chris is back with more bad news now the engine parts are missing in action he said all the heads that they were supposed to send us one of them was at PRI so they only had two days whatever these heads are so one was missing so they found it I got it does that mean that you're gonna be able to send it out tomorrow and he said no it's probably the end of the week I said I gotta have this thing time for a pep talk we have no engine we have no transmission we have no parts so what have we accomplished in the last two weeks we didn't start out behind and each car we've progressively gotten behind every time I try to get stuff I end up getting sidetracked and other stuff whether it's yes or no you have to go after them I'm not saying this is an easy job no but it's not that hard they've worked together for five years but Berry's now reconsidering his options in just over a week Barry White's got a rendezvous in the desert Scottsdale Arizona is hosting an auto auction where bidders are looking for bargains and traders are chasing treasure right now Barry's super muscle car entry a Torino coupe is corral the performance parts he needs to finish it haven't arrived the other brakes hey Doug this is Chris Barry speech out some questions answered on two parts parts are Chris's responsibility and Barry's got him in his sights revenge will be Swift and hilarious if the regular shop guys have their say we got a new hood let's just do this they're planning a surprise it's perfect got some decals for the doors we got - mats and they're building Chris a new shop car from $100 wreck to replace the old one he crashed [Music] the Rising Sun [Music] super trance I think Chris will be stunned I think it's a perfect company car I don't know why anybody wouldn't want it meanwhile unsuspecting Chris has tracked down the engine trouble for Barry is it's in pieces while the engine finally arrived in so it's headed for John Beck's Barry's relying on an old friend to pull it together in time 521 cubic inches should have a lot of torque John's Beck has saved Barry's bacon before and he's sure he can do it again [Music] should be able to have this thing knock down an hour and a half no one knows big blocks like John Beck now this one's been stroke it's a little bit different than what Ford designed you know but it's also a proven the 521 522 the 514 inch board very popular everything went together real well geometries bid on the valve train being bolted up well shouldn't have any problems with it be running by tomorrow back at the speed shop the bicycle team is doing great in fact they're so confident make throwing down the gauntlet to Barry's team challenging them to build a bike in one hour together might take us a little while Mike might be a little drama in it I don't think that's right you know what they mixed all this crap up this is wrong pulling the wiring harness apart for the blinker system out of the old column and putting in the new one because this one only has 7,000 miles on it now it's worn out I bet you we have extra parts we're not losing this deal no problem at let's go ahead and we'll get the sway bar up and we'll mark it where it needs to be drilled though okay gun let's plate on it seems like the cyclists are better at cars than Barry is it bikes the Trading Places challenge has been fun but pretty soon they'll have to get back to work we have the correct brackets Barry's not wasting any time forcing solo to fit the disc brakes up back they'll bolt onto a new Torino diff modified to handle more than 500 horsepower at the crank curry came through first again they built some 9-inch Ford's that fits right in with using the u-bolts we got in the spring pads and I mean it's just a bolt in deal so they put a traction Locker in together for us and everything and it's [Music] brakes bolted on and the bicycle team can continue with the rest of the bill with less than a week to option the Torino is ready for its engine the bike team has really impressed Barry Jim and his son and all the rests of crew awesome awesome job very meticulous people they build high-end bicycles so I kind of expected them and yeah a couple of them are Jim and his son are really into cars so you're into racing and that kind of stuff which that we all are as well so I'm gonna meet a blade screwdriver you can hold that for me like right there it was real good they did a hell of a job putting everything together Tony giving a little direction here in the air and they even awesome job I'm extremely pleased what they've done [Music] Chris is still in the doghouse he's finally got the engine in gearbox and soon they'll need to fit them together you don't have crank bolts you have to have a crank bolt you just can't put any bolt it doesn't work that way that's why I told you to get those as well we don't have bolts can't put thing together I think that starts crowd didn't see if we can find some this could be like trying to find a needle in a haystack they found them but Barry wants to keep playing the Joker yeah just some 60s we're ridiculous thank you you want to let Adam look home for a while or do you want to just find it yeah there's three [Music] I want to tell you right away he didn't want him said hang him let him hang and this is what the team's been waiting for the Massey we offered the stock three on the tree transmission gets the child replaced by a modern six-speed stick shift order the 521 Cobra jetting gearbox cost $8,000 nudging the speedometer of the 26 grand and 120 ours just went in convert them spline than everything now it's a simple matter of mounting the drivetrain or is it where are the motor mounts Chris I remember what happened now you forgot to order him you did order him I remember on parts horse and ask a lot it's a pretty simple this should be sitting in a box here someplace Barry's not taking - any chances they'll make their own drop it down low Ryan here's a good this cake keep going in a little more and letting her down there's a lot of motors car the frame stands the stock frame stands out enough to the right wrong whether they're made for a fading made a playing standpoint so what we're gonna do is go ahead and make new plates to bolt onto the frame make it to Z goes through the motor mount like basically make it like a hot rod motor mount and make it to put a bolt all the way through it and then we'll make us a plate triangular plate with a brace on it that just both that welds on to that so they'll still be removable they won't mess up the stock car five days to go and the engine sitting pretty did it excellent to complete the performance package a full stainless exhaust system designed to give the Cobra Jet perfect pitch complete stainless system and Adams the you know TIG weld and everything together and it looks really nice I mean now all their stuff is high-quality materials and everything it really looks nice it it's goes with the car that's cool the original Torino straight-6 had plenty of room under the hood now it's full of muscle finishing touches something that they had on these Torinos back when they were making them was called a laser stripe what we wanted to do is add a little bit of modern kind of influence to it so we gave it a little bit more of a scalloped shape and all new alloys with low profile tires computer there's a dynamic balance which means takes the tire and divides it in half and tells you how much weight to put on each half give us a new tire in the car we need to make this thing look a little more aggressive want to do that black out panel right here [Music] and you like the place one another yes foremost farther right in the center [Music] should make the car look a lot lower and leaner and faster the super muscle car wheels striping and exhaust push the spend ometer up to 33 grand and 180 hours now we look on the inside a ton of room we measure those wheels guys a genius all that's left is to fire the engine with three days to spare [Music] [Applause] [Music] in three days Barry White is hoping to hit the big time in Scottsdale Arizona for the past four weeks he's been transforming a plain-jane Ford Torino into a fire-breathing Cobra Jet Super muscle car this car is a high quality car Barry's hoping his latest investment will pay dividends at the Russo and Steele auto auction but it's not the only car the speed shops creating Chris Brown crashed his company car so the staff worked secretly after-hours to get him back on the road so the guys all chipped in and they got you a company car what are you talking about they felt bad because you don't have a car Brandon you want to show us car you might want to point out the highlights that everybody put so much time in early he's got a continental kit on the back yeah it does always like Lincoln's and the big Continental kits and it's got every aspect of a hotrod that you like it's got a hood ornament he's into hood ornaments nice this is the styling right [Laughter] [Music] yeah [Laughter] it was quite fun this morning going out and doing some burnouts in it and shaking it and wondering if something was gonna pull up or fall out of the car they did a very interesting job on customizing the car its shook violently trying to do a Burnout that was a hell of a surprise I had no idea that they were anything was even planned everybody had had a big laugh on that one Barry thinks he can afford time to blow off steam all that's left on the Torino is to fire it up and get it to auction something's wrong you know it runs counterclockwise running a brand new motor for the first time there's always a few glitches it's riding backwards at the moment instead of it firing through the Carver's firing through the exhaust so it's a simple done as well it's firing through the carburetor it's not firing through the exhaust okay well I meant that but I came out yeah too much fun and not enough concentration the ignition leads were connected in the wrong firing order [Music] this wouldn't look pretty on the auction room floor you know we got a couple little leaks which you know we get a lot of times you buy the chrome parts and they got o-rings and all kinds of stuff on them just didn't seal up good so we'll put in a gasket on some silicone get that all straightened out the engine sounds sweet but there's still time to make music on the inside [Music] unlike his other auction cars this one's interior is an original showroom condition the interior is in fantastic shape on this car so we really don't want to screw that up too good to start chopping it up to fit modern accessories what we're doing is going through and putting in a secret audio application into the 71 Torino what it is is it's just a remote receiver unit that I'm not gonna be behind the dash sure you can control it via a wired display piece here which means surface mounted or can be frenched into an application so it looks actually like small radio even the speakers are hidden they're laid out with a six and a half inch base speaker on it as well as two two inch tweeters either side but there's one final touch that's better seen than heard this is a reproduction scoop it's fiberglass scoop it's made by for DRAM ear basically you know more air you can get in it the better the car's gonna run I like them it looks good and I think it goes with the car despite a few parts holdups it's been one of Barry's smoothest auction builds with a lot of help from his bicycle buddies 520 that's the lower gas to be pumping through an engine so it's gonna be interesting to see this thing on the road I think it looks fantastic you know with the kind of the subtle changes to the body you guys did a hell of a job putting all that together we appreciate all your help after spending a total of thirty five thousand dollars and two hundred and twenty hours he's transformed a Plain Jane Torino into a super muscle car I'm extremely happy with the car I like the body style I've always liked this body styles kind of Ford's answer to the Chevelle not too big not too heavy man this thing's stunning this is clearly the nicest car we've done so far what this car started out is just a basic 1971 Torino no option car and what it looks like right now I'd be proud to have this car this one we we decided it was such a good car we had to buy it so we paid a lot for the car but the better car you start with the better car [Music] this thing's just big bad and nasty and it's gonna smoke the tires and it's gonna go sideways when you get on the gas and solid as a rock I mean we just turned over sixty nine hundred and fifty seven miles I'm really happy with it looks good the big shaker scoop the big wheels I'm happy with everything really looks bitchin this is your ultimate super muscle car I have really liked the fact that it's not the fastback I think that's the cars just got better lines this way and I think it looks every bit as aggressive because it's got that spoiler it's got the nose down stance and the scoop and everything I think of all that ties it together makes it a hell of a super awesome I'm hoping maybe for 70 and the cars well worth that money and hopefully a lot of people think the same way as we do can we take the auction if I had the money I'd buy this car all Barry needs to be in the money is two bidders hungry for a tough Torino tomorrow he'll find out if they've come to Scottsdale Arizona [Music] once a year the desert resort city of Scottsdale Arizona is an oasis for auto buyers and sellers [Applause] at the Russo and Steele auction big dollars of being thrown around for very aware classic cars so there's money here today question is how much of it will be Barry's for his Ford Torino he needs thirty five grand to break-even but there's plenty of interest for amazing car and I'm a Ford guy so I appreciate stuff like this this type of just made a better product than the original definitely different I haven't seen 30 grand and I just love a car the guy puts his hard into and says there's no reason why I can't make it make it the way I want it the shaker sets it off so it's time to check out the competition it's an original Cobra Jet fastback restoration looks all correct somebody did a hell of a job and that's not in its original form it may not get as much as Barry's super muscle car but it shout the Torino lovers the restored Torino is up first it's not looking good for Barry 26 in advance over 26,000 I'll take 26 5 yes or no going once going twice third call and I sold the car 26 hours ago yeah I was pretty disappointed to see that thing go through it 27000 I think it's where I went and I mean that's a really nice car it was a well done car but not to our specifications I'm concerned guarded concerned I mean I can I can always not I can decline the bid it cost me money but I still can decline the bid Berry's about to find out if he'll be driving back to Corona in the black or in the red Kerr is the spot first impressions it looked like Berry's easiest build yet because this looks too good to be true but cracks started to appear money looks like to me and the wheels fell off what brakes did you order for a further story know what spindles but pedal power came to the rescue pick it up this cars not a crazy bill so they volunteered come on give us bandwidth Barry got help from some enthusiastic bicycle builders who helped keep the Torino on track as usual parts were the biggest problem and as usual source Chris got the blame I don't know what Chris ordered but it's still one of their easiest bills and everyone had time for a laugh Barry's never been so confident the engine is a 521 Ford built by John Farrow no hot rod engines it has a c6 transmission and curried nine-inch rear end for Barry the moment of truth because Barry set no reserve he needs this to go well otherwise we'll be taking the car home and paying a commission to the auctioneers there's still hope this bidder has bought Barry's cars before paying upwards of 60,000 [Music] it's slow-going for one of Barry's favorite cars even though there's three bidders there's no momentum and Barry isn't even in the black hat could this be the start of a revival now not this time maybe it's a bad case of deja vu and the color blue has come back to haunt him [Music] [Applause] [Music] with no higher bidders and still not in the money Barry has to buy it back from himself [Music] full ridiculous I think I've been nice to go around 50 did you make it a 40 so we'll see see what happen no this point I'll take it home Barry's never had an easier bill but he's never been so disappointed pretty much everything went his way until it really counted but there's always another auction [Music] [Music]
