mcdonald's stains on it probably um they're not mcdonald's stains they're just worse than most uh speaking of mcdonald's here's a fast food box that ben got about three years ago it does have stains it does actually still have little green fish and chip greasies uh this is the hot and fresh science facts box um because ben is this week's victim which means i have to play the terrible video game and thus you the game's master which means i'm going to open this box at some point and read facts about american idol the video game it's not called the video it's just called look at it back there who's who's that there he is is that eyeball that's the uh the titular idol wow um so that's apparently the name of the franchise because it was pop idol and american idol but there's also probably like french idol and you know french idol azerbaijan idol yeah that's good guam idol guam idol you name the country there's an idol hawaii idol hawaii i mean it's not a country but it's okay that would be an american idol that's true the game was developed by oh [Music] it takes you back doesn't it that's that sound does it yeah are you using nostalgic for that sound i'm not well maybe just for the era not for the right skip this skip because i really don't want you to see the gameplay until we play it all right i'm gonna start clicking around okay the game was developed by hot house creations and published by codemasters if you've not noticed already in 2003 for ps2 microsoft windows and gameboy advent oh gameboy advent i mean there's no d on there an advent sorry that's my don't want to actually read this fact until you realize what regular videos well it's dance mode go on go on easy and hit continue and once you've found out what non-dance i'm it's like the girl who what you might you might expect that that there he is that was him yeah look just like him you might expect that that would involve you know being able to like dance during your performance or something like that yeah no just it just remaps obviously the the the cardinal directions on your dance mat with the game and you just play the rhythm action game in dance mode um it was highly boasted as a mode it's like plastered on the box art certainly one of them yeah dance map features dance map mode and people like oh i can dance on my pop idol game are they asking me to change my wardrobe uh excuse me beggy mops does not i can customize different different jumpers oh it's the worst one i think the beige oh that's a really bad one that's just like a bodily fluid [Music] can we that is and the guy in the background has one of the gorillas i think then i saw her face [Music] this game features on the crappy games wiki oh yes our favorite with various reasons listed under the why it sucks category uh including the character models in the console version like a poor man's version of xbox 360 avatars avatar's voice looks like well bam there it is but that's not a fair comparison because this came out several years yeah it did sabotage um lots of loading screens and this can get annoying since there is a annoying sound it actually says annoying sounds yeah yeah and after the game loads there is a woman singing in the background that always repeats and that can get on your nerves even the gameboy advance version didn't have them oh the game boy advanced version must be incredible yeah these guys are tanking it [Music] is this guy 14 [Music] oh what that's enough then yeah it certainly is okay number one please take a step forward okay oh oh i thought you were going through as a group pleased to tell you you're through to the next stage oh nice oh they're hugging each other so they didn't go through that's my message they vanish we're going to lose there we go there are more there's one more reason why it sucks well there were 12 reasons but i brought three yeah um this game doesn't even have a memory card save option instead there is a password system what which doesn't seem to be true that's not correct never trust the crappy games wiki um it does list two redeeming features though would you believe oh look i'm just gonna completely change beauregard gonna completely change his look for one performance she's swelling up like a blueberry why are they all camo well because you you want to keep your legs secret you can actually you can probably don't tell anyone would you like to hear the two redeeming features of this game while you cycle through this stuff number one most of the songs are very good oh the open neck that i like that can we get it deeper can we can we get it all the way down just completely oh look at that that's powerful like toothpaste minty fresh most of the songs are very good and uh number two when you mess up the song and the game makes the character sound high-pitched can lead up to funny moments i mean i can't argue with that yeah i'm gonna go for daniel bedding okay i gotta get through this i've got to get through this imagine if you performed that on a talent show it's not the most challenging song holding ones oh it's powering up the time vortex maybe beggar mops can finally make it home still going while we're here yeah i skip to so this isn't one of the highest or lowest review scores but i i brought it along because i love what they've pointed out um official us playstation magazine i'll tell you what they gave it later but they said there's something fundamentally wrong about the fact that you can beat american idol and not miss a single note with the sound turned off yeah so true that is correct it's nothing to do with the song he's in the final mate he made it to heat number three and rightly so he just he just lets himself out well we've given a great deal of thought and unfortunately there are going to be disappointments i'm pleased to say though you're through to the final 30. huh [Music] did he did it peter fantastic he made it through i was just in the idol franchise in the video game world uh in addition to the release of karaoke revolution presents colon american idol for the playstation 2 on the 2nd of january 2007. a sequel karaoke revolution presents american idol encore was released during the first quarter of 2008 followed by its direct sequel karaoke revolution presents american idol encore 2 which was released in november the 18th 2008. but there were no direct sequels to this game because i mean it would be considered against the geneva convention i think yeah this is it's illegal that this was ever released yeah especially as all these people dead dead we're now down to the final 30 competitors to do well you'll need to show that you can bring your own personality to the performance right you have one song flares but you've only got star potential stupid game doesn't like my jump is actually quite hard to properly 100 this game imagine having it on hard mode hard mode dance map mode just your feet going
