I know itβs damaging the paint etc. but I still love being inside a car and watching all the soap bubbles and brushes. Takes me back to my childhood.
In the doc, they show the difference between the world's largest car wash vs a detailer, it's actually pretty interesting.
At 48:40:
"The microfiber clothes on the spinning wheels are pretty filthy ... so at some point early next week we'll have to put them in the washing machine and clean them a bit."
Not 'this should have been cleaned yesterday or part-way through the day when they accumulated enough dirt to scratch cars,'
..not now.. not even Monday morning before we open,
but "at some point early next week."
In Germany where that is you can only wash your car with water at home(from what Iβve read). No products/soaps as it apparently pollutes the water. Sucks to be into detailing there
The automatic wash seems decent compared to the usual tunnels, as more time is spent in getting the first layer of muck off.
If I'd let those rollers of scratch touch a cars paint, I'd still opt out of the broom of death that's used on all the cars in sequence.
I will say.
I do miss having a lease just for the fun of going through car washes.
Very interesting, Iβd love to have a visit there sometime. Although the methods used are not prefect, 95% of normal people would find this much more convenient, cheaper and easier. Enjoyed the video.
If this was anywhere else I would pull my hair out but I trust the Germans too much.
Holy shit some of those cars are nice
