I'll put it out there. These things made out of colored pencils never turn out good. Guitar-bodies, tables, even this thing. It just looks awful. And at this point, is this even artisan-quality?

How could he choose to orient it that way?!? The pencils made a perfect representation of longitude and the equator, and HE MADE THOSE LINES GO UP AND DOWN!
The second half was less satisfying to watch after he put in all this effort only to freehand the continents [I recind the comment of this wasn't supposed to look like earth].
Print & cut out a spherical map, temp glue on top of the shape and dremel away for a more accurate design. Just my armchair 2 cents on logical laziness of process.
Iโm taking points of because he didnโt all of the 17,508 islands in Indonesia. Other than, pretty nice workz

That was very cool. I enjoyed that quite a bit. Soothing even. Nice work.
The final product looks like the continents' shadows flying through space. That's the best way I can describe it. Not at all what I had expected going in.
