Wonderful gifts for the chateau!

hi and welcome to this week at the chateau we still have tatina and michael here so very exciting having them with us and we we're all in pink except for tatiana who did not get the pink memories just matching michael yeah yeah and it was without any intention we're just so in sync with each other and we have some gifts oh should we start excellent this is from us tn tennessee there is a note from the bottom of my heart dear stephanie i wanted to send you a small token of my appreciation for all your hard work and for the many many hours of entertainment you've given me i've watched every chateau diaries shadow unwrapped and patron videos about 600 videos together i mailed this package in late november hoping it will be open in time for t-shirt weather i know you don't usually wear t-shirts but i believe that it's because you haven't found your favorite one until now i think you're going to love it the framed needlework is a counted cross stitch piece that i made many years ago it's a 32 count linen cream on cream with some small beads just a little something from my house to yours enjoy much love joy ps i threw in a few recipes michael is interested grape salad oh yeah oh you're already very interested stuffed pepper casserole hello dollies what's a hello dolly it's a musical yeah they're bars i think they must be a little bit like flapjacks which mean different things in different countries because flapjacks are in south africa pancakes or what we would call scottish cakes really so what we call a scotch pancake like the little fat pancake they call flapjacks but for us flapjacks are what the americans call a granola bar yes i think this might be more of a bar because it's butter graham cracker crumbs chocolate chips shredded coconut chopped pecans and you're going to like this a can of sweetened condensed milk he's been known to just drink it from your hands i love it with coffee father christmas used to give me a can of condensed milk oh and you would just drink it oh that is that's a sweet tooth pretty excited about the t-shirt it's true i don't wear um t-shirts very much but that's because i like wearing dresses just because it's so much easier you don't need to coordinate the t-shirt is wrapping the other gift it must be the cross stitch oh you're right [Laughter] you know like one of those ones that you've had for a long time that's become super super super small nice nice fabric yeah it's lovely beautiful you can see myself yes yeah oh wow oh oh oh that's beautiful this is beautiful [Music] tiny tiny tiny beads i am astonished by it i love the frame too i love it i absolutely love it gosh that's lovely how anyone has the patience to do that i do not know wow joy that's incredible yeah definitely definitely be going up counted cross stitch on 32 count linen stitched in 1995 by joy edelman in jackson tennessee usa but it's so nice that we have that on the back little's definitely going up in the chat 100 i think this is really really lovely and i don't know if you mind me using this as my pajama top but i have some really cozy flannel pajama bottoms i never have anything to wear them with it's just so soft you can use it for that yeah yeah i love it thank you joy really thank you so thoughtfully this is hilarious and i just like the thought of philip waking up every morning to a pun and this is supposed to be felicia it doesn't say from where is that france it must be let me see if i can find a note first this is a newt oh it's an amazon gift we thought this would be lovely in the kitchen from eric and bob it's a beautiful pattern it's such a pretty color what is it could be a picture maybe sure oh that's cute i feel that i need to be cooking something now yeah coming up we don't have anyone doing dinner i found you on youtube your kindness and graciousness is so evident with everything you do and in the manner that you present your videos this is a gift for you stephanie because you are the princess of leland isabel the queen this had a gucci theatrical style that i love but for some reason i've yet to find a suitable occasion to wear it a creature of la land is ever involved in its design in true long style from louise oh sweet so very excited gucci theatrical-esque style oh oh oh it's amazing is that going to can i try this on straight away yes i was missing a little something in the pink um next time cat comes i'm going to be wearing this to her i'm going to try it on immediately because it's weird doesn't she like i hope it fits no because she's called cat i didn't i'd have to try i have to try it yeah ready love it i really love it the color is very yellow i mean i don't know what to wear it for what someone wear like a magical shiny cat for on the table with a pair of of potential partners have emerged enchanted by my shadow dream it may still happen wow fingers crossed hope to stay in touch abby it's beautiful it's beautiful isn't it isn't it amazing i love that that her abigail you wrote this the alchemy of loss a young widow's transformation oh my dead husband's clothes closet held me hostage for almost four years in the early years after aaron's death his clothes hung patiently in his closet waiting for his return i'm sure a lot of people can relate to this exactly i would open the closet doors to see his shoes staring me expectantly longing for the warmth of his feet i would stand inside the folding louver doors and cry deep wet tears into his blue cloth bathrobe that still smelled of him i fingered the striped flannel shirt that everyone hated but him his socks were piled impossibly high in a rolling wire mesh basket another level of the basket held his underwear they waited for him as did i i would close the closet doors and fling myself face down onto the bed in dramatic sobs the closet became a litmus test of my grief open door cry closed door past test still grieving repeat in four weeks my brother and aaron's best friend visited for thanksgiving i saw my opportunity to bestow some of aaron's favorite items on the people he loved giving his clothes and shoes to loved ones seemed preferable to hauling garbage bags full of him to goodwill bruce pulled aaron's favorite leather jacket around his torso trying to make the buttons meet the coat which had fallen to aaron's hips reached halfway to bruce's knees it took on a new persona on bruce's body and molded itself instantly to him it no longer resembled anything aaron had ever worn my brother and bruce walked off feigning pleasure at their new acquisitions but really i think they were pleased at having helped me through a difficult process they seemed to understand by the look in my eyes my relief at having purged a little of aaron in a loving way and abigail i remember meeting you here and i would just love to read the description of your book to everybody because yeah it's incredible what you've been through on the morning of september the 11th 2001 abigail carter received an urgent phone call from her husband aaron ab ab there's an emergency i'm in the world trade center and there's been a bomb he never came home abby had it all a full life with a successful career and a loving husband and a beautiful two-year-old son and six-year-old daughter but in a horrifying instant watched by the world it was gone and her family's lives were changed irreparably the alchemy of loss chronicles the tumultuous four years abby spent trying to come to terms with her loss that day honest raw and even humorous this is the book she wished she could have else is possible it's either that or losing yourself completely oh i know oh it was so moving it's hard to uh it's hard to move on oh well we have another gift from us ca california yes oh yes i will need you deficiency i miss antoine what is this hi stephanie and everyone at leonard i'm sending some flower seeds after hearing you say that you like poppies and hollyhocks i really do a short background about these seeds i purchased them to plant a garden for my mother to see from her bed she was bed bound for many years after breaking her leg i took care of both my parents on and off for 22 years my father sadly passed away january 2019 just seven days before my parents 70th wedding anniversary and then my mother passed on february 28 2020 just days before the first lockdown it was sad because my mother felt bad that i had given up my personal and professional life to care for them about a week before she passed she said that i could have my life back soon and that made her happy but the universe had other plans called covid and the subsequent variants but anyway back to the seeds sorry if i ramble i live alone now with my dog lola these seeds were the last part of a large garden i planted for her with most every color you can find in flowers but i haven't been able to find the grays and dark reds my favorites of the hollyhocks are the triple ruffle peaches and cream which is a beautiful peach with two layers of white ruffles and the blackberry ripple a dark red with a ruffle of white streaks there are also grey poppies black peony poppies hungarian blue poppies johnny jump up violets several types of hollyhocks and rainbow beets my favorite to pickle i thought the colors would look nice around the garden and chateau i also included three note cards that my mother loved and collected they have thread tatted flowers on the front i framed several of them and loved the way they look i started watching your vlogs just after she passed and i truly enjoy the escape they provide the magical mix of people you have around you has tapped into a universal flow that people worldwide really are captivated by thank you for sharing a wonderful slice of life called shuttle leland all my best with love and respect patrick i'm patrick how lucky your parents were to have you in their lives and to do that for your mother so that she could see a beautiful colorful garden from her bed what a wonderful son really oh you've got the seeds okay so her photos of the seeds hollyhocks in mixed colors johnny jump up viola in three colors hollyhock the watchman poppy seeds from japan and holland and england and marigold and zinnia and shasta daisy well probably i suspect that kirsty has already started planting them yeah i know she's been planting a lot of flowers so and we've got a seed starting handbook which we will give to kirsty and these are the note cards that your mother loved oh they are pretty oh they're very very pretty oh so beautiful and this one and then the one more one isn't it is that your favorite one i don't know patrick that's so pretty i think the butterfly is my favorite it's really hard to choose because they're also lovely yeah they are absolutely i love the colors yeah yeah yeah it's so thoughtful of you to send all of these and i cannot wait to see them blooming in the garden here the colors sound incredible i really like the idea of the which one was it uh the watchman the hollyhock the watchman you like that one all the different colored poppies yes marigold zinnia and shasta daisy thank you so much patrick lovely border you love red it's lovely we have another one from california oh yeah stephanie family and friends you make such a difference beautiful redwoods dear stephanie phillip family and friends every castle should have a guard so you now have the world's smallest guard put him to work and he'll not let you down i've painted him in the colours and arms of the pujira nadiak family but he needs a name this is a small token of my appreciation for everything that you do your videos mean so much to so many please never forget that love and hugs bob oh wow painted in the colours of the pujit and to find somewhere to put him where shall he be that he can stay i almost like the idea of putting him on the top of the frame of my father's painting yeah that's an eye on the entrance wall that way anyone coming and going should we pop him up there how is he gonna look there how about that that is excellent yes okay so we better get some double-sided sticky tape before we leave him there but i like him there very very much and he picks up the colors i know he does he looks great just keeping an eye on everything no one can come and go you see through the entrance tour without being spotted by our little guard or nattie bob he's great and already you're right we have an army we have three girls i love him bob thank you so much he's great he's going to live there do you say i don't know stephanie i'm sending a few cocktail corner napkins you might use also 20 postcards of french fashion between 1912 and 1914 i thought they might be nice around your costumes cupboard i got them in the fabulous chester beatty library in dublin worth a visit i don't know actually i'll look that up the picture on the card is from mount usher gardens over 100 years old and a perfect paradise also worth a visit with mummy love and hugs to all at the lovely la land sheila sheila thank you look at these oh great oh i was expecting um paper napkins at a cloth yes they're incredible oh they are great and weirdly when i see it very quickly i think cheese which makes me peckish goes well with the drinks [Laughter] and wine cheers these are fantastic sheila yeah cheers cheers costume puppies yeah fashion them and they're very very elegant definitely getting to try them on i think they'll look nice with the dress yeah i think so too actually i think the color is really great what do you think i love that i love how they're facing different ways oh are they the peacocks faces each other yes exactly i really like it when it's like that they're beautiful yeah beautiful so beautiful i'm amazed john cherry and golden mango oh gingerbread sounds nice yeah i have a little bit of your cold oh sorry i've checked the ingredients will it say would you like to try the corn i'll have a little bit of the pineapple one not the cold no it's really nice oh the coldest it doesn't look lovely and this is excellent i have a bit of any more i it's nice that one it's a bit weak a bit black licorice thank you
