Women Arise 2018: Day 1, Session 1 - Carrie Pickett

good morning everyone whoo this is awesome to see this place filled with so many amazing omen of God amen I want you to turn around and introduce yourself to two or three ladies tell them where you're from tell them if you're married and if you have some kids get to know each other for a second [Applause] whoo all right see once we start talking as ladies we don't want to stop doing by it I am really privileged to be here with you this morning I have I have a number of things that I just want to share with you I number one I just want to thank Andrew and Jamie they have just that they have a heart for us as women they want to see us get encouraged they want to see us get refreshed they want to see us be equipped to do everything that God has already prepared for us not awesome we're not trying to figure things out we just get to walk in his plan that takes the pressure off doesn't it and as women we need the pressure taken off and so I just I'm thankful for Andrew and Jamie I just want to recognize Tracie Asia and the team for all the things that they have done Tracy thank you for your leadership and your heart for us in this conference and all of the ladies that are going to be ministering they just have some great things to share with you and and I'm excited I get to minister with my favorite person Audrey Mack she is just full of God and and I remember the last time that she spoke it was that it was it healing is here that's right healing is here she got up on the pulpit I'm not gonna try I really really wanted to be able to do it but I thought I'm gonna wear a skirt today so and so but it was awesome because she gets up on the pulpit and she's preaching and I just I look over at Andrew and he's got his phone and he's like he's just taking a picture he's just like hey can you taste like there hasn't ever happened in my house before I was awesome so tonight and I don't know what you have yet planned for today maybe you're thinking I'll just come for the morning and then that'll be it I'm gonna really encourage you to come tonight because Audrey and I are going to get on stage together and preach okay so that's called the left and the right okay so we are just going to share some awesome things with you tonight so I'm just an encourage you make plans to come back tonight because we've got some things God wants to share with you amen well for those of you that don't know me my name is Carrie I have a mazing husband Mike Pinkett and I have two children I have a daughter Eliana she's 8 years old I have a son Michael he is 5 and so I love being a mom and a wife it's my first calling it's my first joy it's my first priority and I've enjoyed it and I see what God is doing in our family and also I've been a missionary for 16 years overseas in Russia I had when I graduated from Charis Bible College in 1999 I moved over to Russia I was 21 years old and started serving the Lord and just loved it God did so much in my heart from Russia went to multiple nations over 32 different nations traveling and ministering the gospel I love love love the mission field and then preaching the gospel and seeing people set free and the whole time that we were over in Russia we did Andrew Micah ministries we started their office did all the translation for Andrew I'm originally American I am NOT Russian I looked Russian and so did my husband we actually actually I looked Russian he looked Mafia so no one bothered that okay he was big tall and had a shaved head so we could go anywhere in Russia it was awesome so mmm so we did that for 16 years in the the Karis Bible College and just saw the message of grace transformed Russia and still transforming Russia to this day and then three years ago we moved back here and started overseeing international operations and all the cares Bible colleges for Andrew so there's over 65 cares Bible colleges and there's 17 and rural Mike ministries around the world and so we just get the joy of just seeing that gospel go into new nations and new places and and then this last summer this summer Mike and I became the vice presidents here of karas and we have the tremendous privileges to lead amazing amazing group of people here and so God is keeping us busy and we love it we love seeing what the message is doing so it's it's fun to be here today but my first joy outside of being a daughter of the king is preaching about the king amen I love preaching about Jesus and my testimony I you know I grew up a farm girl I was a cowgirl growing up on our ranch and so you wouldn't know by the high heels these are these are my city boots and then I have country boots and so I grew up on the farm ranching community small town 350 people and in Colorado and from there I came up to Bible School and then went out into the world but my testimony is I got saved when I was really young and there were key things that God had to teach me when I was young to be able for me to agree to the call of God in my life see there's things that there's truths that God's wanting us to capture so the you and I can actually come to a place that will agree with God because for a lot of us for a number of years we've been arguing with God amen and as women we argue well right how many of you are really good at arguing I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing but we do it don't we and you know we can negotiate with God God well I need you to do this and I need you to do that or I'll do that after this or after this or God how could you use me in this way or how you could use me in that way and what I love about these conferences and if you've been if this is your first one this is you know our title or our theme for this conferences equipped to reign know your authority you know last year we talked about identity and these are these are life-changing topics absolutely life-changing topics because once you get them you have no excuse to be the same Amen to be the same old you with the same old excuses because there's some excuses that we really use they're tried and worn excuses for God and when we understand these truths we'll stop saying God you can't it's not possible you can't use me look at my neighbor look at your neighbor and say I'm not looking at you today because what happens is that we'll be hearing something and say oh well Lord you know it's for them right whether you know you think that they're a hot mess next to you or oh well they're just so much more anointed and so much more called than I am so God obviously this encouragement is for them but I'm going to talk about some things that's more I believe is just going to really set you free but before I do that I want to read something that the Lord gave me in worship today for you and this is a prophetic word just something that I believe God is wanting to speak to you and he--and was during worship it was during that last song and he just said this he said I am your sufficiency because of my because of my love there is no need no need to great too hard nothing too far gone and when he spoke it to me I heard that deep like too far gone there's some of you that have said this is too far gone they can't be restored this can't be redeemed we can't get out of that much debt these relationships that's just it's too far gone and I felt God say to you this morning nothing is too far gone because of what is love he says I am your sufficiency he said there's nothing too far gone that I can't overcome I have done a finished work and when I wrote finished work he said underlying that please and I said yes sir he said I've done a finished work that means your victories already happened he said a battle is won he said your battles won he said enemies are conquered he said he your enemies are conquered he said you're set free from lies because I am and then he said capitalizes carry he said I am your truth he said me me he said I am your truth see we're hearing a lot of different things in your life right now you're hearing a lot of different voices but God is telling you this morning me I am your truth he's a truth that frees overcomes set things anew set things afresh in your life this is what I plan for you long ago Amen I think that's a good word he said that he is your truth amen and so when we talk about this when we talk about God being our truth when we talk about God saying hey the battle is already won what does that mean for you and I what does that mean and so I want to share with you you know the word reign and when I look this up you know it's in the verb it says to be king or Terrenas king to accede to the throne to assume royal power publicly and generally to become powerful and when I was doing this and I was praying about stuff last night and writing some things down the Lord says I've called them to assume power publicly amen because we can sit in our and and this is what I love is that we can sit in our room and our homes and pray and intercede and serve and minister but I felt like God was saying there's things that he's getting ready to call you into and things out of and he says it's time to assume power publicly now it was really interesting I thought this was funny I had a family member that her husband was his heart when we start talking about the conference he said are you going to that feminist thing oh sorry yeah and uh and he says y'all you know being all famous isn't rising a rising and I just laughed and I my sister look at me and I said he's so she should go stupid and no he's blessed but you know I just thought about that you know because when we start talking about as women and I'm and please understand we're not talking to you as women I'm not talking to you as women I'm talking to you as children of God okay because we have to be really careful that men's conferences are Women's Conference this is not about gender this is about being a child of God because we are sons of God just like our husbands and our brothers and our friends our brides of Christ amen so this is not about okay women let's right okay this is about you having Christ in you and being who Christ has called you to be amen and I believe that in being a woman in being a man there are beautiful awesome things that God has put within us and as they come together there's an explosion and a demonstration of the kingdom of God but if you don't know who you are and what you're called to do you won't ever fulfill those things that God determined beforehand I love that scripture he says he's prepared good works for you beforehand he said when he formed you and fashioned you in your mother's womb there was already things that he had created and designed amen and how many of you felt you've ever got off track in your life okay this is a good crowd so no one in here's perfect hallelujah there's things that we've gotten off track we've gotten distracted we've gotten discouraged we believe lies we've gotten into the UH kin the muck right and praise God for His grace praise God for his love praise God for His forgiveness praise God for his word praise God for his spirit that lives inside of you and I amen that gets us back on track that even in the midst of being off-track some of you are even off track right now and you know it and you can say you know what I love about being off track is you can turn around and be back on track you don't need years of restoration okay that's for somebody very specifically you don't need years of restoration people have told you you've been so broken and so distracted and gotten so it's gonna take a lifetime to get healed let me tell you in the presence of God it does not take a lifetime with the power of truth it does not take a lifetime amen it does not take years to turn around it is a decision to say father I'm gonna believe what you say about me not what I think about me and not what my past declares about me not what my feelings tell me but I can turn and believe what you say about me because when you believe what God says about you people look at you say what happened right you were a mess you're the one person they don't want at the family reunion but you not a mess anymore this is that this is the power of Jesus in our lives and like that song I love that song we sang today we don't have to strive anymore because we've already got it so we have to understand what do we have in proverbs chapter 8 verse 15 talking about the wisdom of God and it says by me Kings reign by me Kings reign talking about the wisdom of God you have the ability you have within you the Spirit of God you have within you the ability to reign and when we talk about reign well what does it really mean to reign does that mean that you walk in and be like hey y'all I'm the boss does that what it means the rain no it means you know your place and so I'm asking the Lord I said Lord how do you want us to reign look what what is your vision of us as your children us as your daughters how do we reign and he spoke three things to me he said I want you to reign in your position I want you to reign in your identity and I want you to rein in your calling he gave that to me as I was trying on my clothes last night it's usually in the most unspiritual moments that God speaks right God wants us to reign in our position God wants us to reign in our identity and God wants us to reign in our colony but what does that mean how do you reign in your position in Isaiah chapter 32 okay Isaiah chapter 32 verses one through four and these are I was just looking at these now this is this is a whole this is a whole conference right here in this in this verse but we're gonna we're gonna identify a couple key things but it says this it says behold a king will reign in righteousness well you know if you're going to have position you need to know what your position is right and so many people don't know what their position is they feel lost they've gotten off-track and they don't know well what ha ha what am i and so you need to understand your position and when we start talking about position in if this if we were talking about being a women and we start talking about roles and moms and wives I'm so I'm not talking about that today there'll be some of that but ultimately it's your position as a daughter of God because if you can get that position correct man everything else that you set your hand to your marriage your children your friendships your family your job those things will start to have an overflow of the life of God on them amen it's not us trying to be I'm gonna be a good wife today I'm gonna be a good wife today a man I'm not gonna kick my husband hey all right it's saying okay Lord I know who you how you see me what place you've placed me in and it says this in Isaiah chapter 32 verses 1 to 4 behold the king shall reign and righteousness and princes will rule with justice I need to do the history of it I have never gone and studied my whole line or history my my family originally came from Sweden they're my great-grandparents were Swedish so my last name my maiden name was Nordquist very Swedish right and so that's why when I was in Russia I looked Russian because I had kind of that Slavic look to my face right well we have in our family passed down we have this old photo beautiful old photo I should have brought it I should have brought it would have been cool to show and it's for men and for women and their beautifully dressed their royalty and their the princes basically of this whole Sweden this is whole linen just of Sweden and everything that's my family line that's pretty cool because I grew up a cowgirl thinking I was a farm girl but realized I can actually come from a lineage of royalty pretty cool huh I didn't know that until I was older I would have really loved that when I was a girl but I'm a princess excuse me so we've never really studied it out to know how it all goes down right but to even think about that that's pretty cool but even better than that you're a daughter of the king and how you see yourself as royalty alright there's a way in a position that you have there's an authority that you have and it says this and princes will rule with justice first to a man this is the New King James a man will be as a hiding place from the wind and a cover from The Tempest as rivers of water in a dry place as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land this is this is awesome because it's talking about some different things here it says that you as a king will reign in righteousness Isaiah 32 it says a man will be as a hiding place from the wind and a cover from The Tempest as rivers of water in a dry place and as a shadow of a great rock in a weary land this is talking about that nothing natural has the ability to overcome you that the normal storms of life the normal depression the normal discouragement the normal frustration and overwhelmed whelming things that can follow on you in your life don't have to overwhelm you that's powerful man I looked at that and I was like you know what lord I thank you that because of your righteousness this is my authority that I don't have to let everyday struggles and battles overwhelm us right it goes on verse 8 in verse 3 the eyes of those who see will not be dim and the ears of those who hear we'll listen I was talking about you that you have the ability to see and you have the ability to hear in your righteousness in your place and in your position in Christ you have the ability to have the perspective of God of the kingdom of God over everything in your life just as he said as the Lord said during worship I am your truth that's gonna be your perspective so when all these other things try to come against us how do we stand in this position of not know the wind and the waves they don't overwhelm me hallelujah I love I was doing choosing our Bible study with Barry Bennett the other day and I loved his message I would encourage you to go check it out he talked about not living from crisis to crisis hallelujah and as women what can happen is we solve crisis's don't we lost shoes and broken toys and spit up and dirty laundry and wears clean underwear those are crisis's right okay you're constantly a mom where's this house this can you do this honey where's that right let alone even some of the things that you're doing with work and family are you the daughter or the sister that everybody comes to to solve their problems in their family are you the one that everybody expects to drop everything that you're doing to fix everybody else's problem are you that person mmm-hmm I was the oldest of six kids right and so you can get used to just running and solving crisis after crisis and you start to depend on your human strength in your human logic and it's fun for a while because you know you can rush in and save the day and tell when you're really tired and then you're like excuse me stop calling me right solve your own problems right okay I'm just talking about me I guess all right but when you know your position in Christ you stop trying to be the one who solves everything and you run to him your perspective and your ability to see through his eyes a situation gives you the ability to say yes and to say no there will be situations where people are calling you because they are broken in their heart because there are people that are hurting around you friends and family they are lost and they are hurt the enemy is beating them up and they're calling you for encouragement they're calling you for counsel they're calling you and saying what should I do they're calling you and saying hey my my husband's about to divorce me so how do you answer you need to answer from your position in Christ we're not answering out of our own wisdom or ideas like oh oh you know what you should divorce them because he's a jerk amen because we can get really busy body in everybody else's affairs in life because we're too afraid to look at our own amen we're gonna fix everybody else's problems because I don't want to deal with my own I'm sorry I don't mean to slap you around this morning I really don't but but here's the thing if when you win this intimacy with God happens then you start to operate in this position that lord between you and I there's life between you and I Lord there's truth that's setting me free between you and I Lord you are bringing your word in your perspective and you are putting your ears within me so I have the ability to hear your voice so that then when storms come I'm able to answer out of that position because of what your righteousness in Christ Jesus because of what he's accomplished for you it's not about what you and I can accomplish for ourselves it's not our spirituality how much we can serve how much we can do how much we can give how much we can help right and you're here today it's because you love the Lord you're here today because you're hungry you're here today because you want to learn and you want to grow you're also probably the same people that are the first to stand up and volunteer amen you're the first ones to say okay yeah I can do that and so what happens is that we can start what we do starts to become our identity starts to become our position well I'm the one you can call on in a crisis I'm the one you can call on for creative things I'm the one you can call to babysit my kids I'm the one you can call the right come up with an answer figure out the budget whatever it is there's different things that you are excellent at look at your neighbor and say you have so much excellence in you now I want you to receive what somebody just told you amen because you're saying oh well I'm not like super spiritual Suzy Q over here right you have so much excellence in you just not even natural abilities you have so many awesome things in you but we got to make sure that we don't stand on those things as our position but what we can accomplish in what we can do and what we have earned and what we have built and what we have accomplished you all have something you can brag on in your life but our position has to be I know I am righteous in Christ Jesus it says over here in Galatians excuse me Romans chapter five talking about your righteousness and I love Romans I love every time I study Romans I get so excited but it says this it says Romans chapter five verse 14 through 17 for if by one man's offense death reigned through the one it's talking about Adam right when Adam sinned right he opened up all that's okay so death began to rain rain it took public authority it came into power and said now sin and death will rule and reign it's going to be your master he says by one man's a fifth offense death began to reign it was the natural law much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the one Jesus Christ amen was that a whistle or was that a kid screaming it sounded like my son they got pinched by his sister but I like that that's a good that's a good whistle a man says you have received grace and the gift of righteousness and because of that you get to reign in Christ Jesus so we quit looking at all the sin of the past and the mistakes of the past because we think that one mistake just like Adam made that that fateful decision right and now through that everything sin and death began to reign not just for him in his generations but way way after that and so many of us think that by one of our mistakes that's it death depression failure reigns for the rest of your life now and I'm here to tell you that's a lie your past does not reign over your future amen it's because of now the grace of God because when you came into fellowship with Jesus Christ he said you are a new creation the past is gone the past is gone and now in your righteousness he said this righteousness now gives you a new position and that position to live forth now your present and your future reigning in Christ Jesus it says in life well life and Jesus does that include depression sickness disease anger frustration competitiveness guilt no yet those are the things that enemy keeps trying to bring back right and we said no that's not my life that's not what I'm reigning in you know equips the word equip it says to supply with the necessary items for a particular purpose it means to provide furnish supply issue stock provision arm and our endow or rig so guys I have rigged you i've endowed you right I've supplied you I've equipped you with everything you need in Christ Jesus praise the Lord so you know what that means is that we got to keep running to him for that provision that's why he said earlier in worship I am your sufficiency hallelujah I am your sufficiency so you run to me for all of those things that you need because some of us are so disappointed in ourselves that we think God's disappointed in us and because we think God's disappointed in us you don't run to him when there's a need you just are trying to fix it yourself and I'm telling you you're gonna leave this conference I believe different because you're gonna drop that disappointment about yourself you're gonna drop you trying to figure out everything and be the one that comes in and saves the day I have a family member that can do amazing things I mean things will be falling apart and they can come in and just fix it start it build it create it's amazing if there's a party that needs to happen out of the woodwork decorations and dishes and food arrives now that are gonna end and at the end they're barely walking and dragging themselves but they save the day the problem is is that they create crisis to come in and save it amen and so we have to be careful as women that we don't get so used to crisis or even creating crisis because we come in and save it because that's what we find our identity in our position in or we're looking for everybody else's problems because we can Russian and we can fix them that's not what a minister does we don't come in and save them from their problems as ministers we come in and we show them Jesus you have to come in and show them the completed work of Christ and you have to show them their victory in Jesus to receive their victory from Jesus not receive their victory from you hallelujah when people say hey I need I need prayer awesome so I'm gonna have you start and I'm gonna have you pray to Jesus amen okay I'm gonna agree with you alright let's pray okay you pray I'm gonna agree wait no you're supposed to have all these spiritual words that move heaven and earth and shake the problem no we bring people to Jesus right yes you have this position and you have this authority but that doesn't mean you become God or the Holy Spirit to your family or your situations amen because we will say you know I'm just standing in my authority well standing in our authority doesn't mean we become the Holy Spirit to our husbands amen now can we have godly counsel can we have life can we have encouragement can we have a word of the Lord absolutely can we be help me yes we come alongside but I'm not my husband's Holy Spirit that's not how I rule and reign woo come home for the conference and be like okay honey this is what I learned sit down and listen this is what we're doing I am reigning he'll be like I think you're going next year I don't care how much free stuff they gave you you're not going to see okay so there's a way that we reign right without getting into the flesh and trying to become God to people yes we are equipped with all of these amazing things he supplied us so the word for equipment it means to supply with the necessary items but it also means to prepare someone mentally for a particular situation or task see the thing is that what God's wanting you to do is you need to prepare mentally this is where our relationship with God comes in if you're gonna be equipped to live the life that God's called you to do that means we run into the Word of God and say I've gotta mentally prepare I have to get truth as my first defense my first reaction my first response Amen so that then when these situations come up and life will come up doesn't it we're living life and sometimes we have really good seasons and sometimes we have really difficult seasons anybody in here ever had a really difficult season or going through one right now and sometimes they are all-consuming aren't they they just feel like they're just takin the breath out of you every day and then we have really good seasons how many of you are having a good season or had good seasons any man we had good seasons where I'm like whoa everything's good and it's easy and it's comfortable hallelujah and so we get to be we get to be equipped in this relationship with God mentally so that we can take that word and that righteous position and now we can battle the enemy because he's already been defeated amen we just got to remind him here's the deal the enemy knows he's defeated he knows it he sees you wake up in the morning it's like she's awake again amen you put your feet on the ground you're a force to be reckoned with why because you're a child of God because you have the kingdom of God living inside of you the enemy sees you're anointed you're powerful you have wisdom and knowledge you have ability you have the fruits of the spirit you have spiritual gifts and talents inside of you you have the authority to rebuke and to cast down you have the ability to heal and set free and bring dead things back to life amen when he sees you that's what he sees but he also knows that when we wake up and go to the mirror and we're like we don't see that sometimes right we go to the mirror and say why won't my nose stop the lien right you go in you judging yourself by our outward appearance and boy the enemy will jump right on that and he'll just start telling you all that you are and you are not because he does not want you to start your day going oh I'm the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus I'm gonna kick devil but today so we can distract us in the morning with how we feel how we look what we didn't get done last night and we have to do today amen and all the other things that will arrive in that and then when you're tired and you're singing when the kids are like I don't want to go to school and I'm like either do I [Laughter] but we are eyes up okay every morning when I pray for my kids on the way to school I always miss quote a verse always I miss quote this verse every day so that my son will correct me every day it's so sweet I said Lord Jesus I thank you that today we're gonna have a great day and that we're filled with the love joy peace patience kindness goodness and self-control in his mom he's like mom it's goodness kindness faithfulness and self-control I'm like that's right good job you have to remind yourself to preach to yourself you have to mentally prepare and remind okay this is what I have and so this is how I'm gonna go out into my day that truth has got to be the absolute heartbeat of your foundations because if you're gonna stand you have to stand on something that's unshakeable if we're gonna talk about position and reigning in position your position has to be set on something that is unshakable and unmovable and that is the Word of God that in in that word of God you are discovering who he is you're discovering his little up for you you're just discovering your identity and your power and the finished work that's already been done so when you start your day you can say I can reign in my position today because the word is my promise the word is my declaration amen revelations chapter 5 verse 9 says and they sang a new song saying you are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals for you were slain it's talking about Jesus here right there singing a new song and they sang a new song saying you are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals for you were slain and you have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation we sang that today amen and he and have made us kings and priests to our God and we shall reign on the earth you and I are not supposed to start raining in heaven ah finally no pressure finally no laundry Oh hallelujah hallelujah miss Sara no laundry Sara comes to my house now and helps me with my laundry I feel in some of the kingdom of heaven in my home heaven on earth but there's things things that when we get to heaven that it's all gonna be it's all gonna be Oh finally I don't have to have depression and finally I don't have to have this worry and finally I don't have to come in and save the day but here's the thing it says that you are called to rain right now you're called to live that right now that absolute intimacy in presence of God every part of your day right now that's your position right now you are people who bring heaven to earth that means you get to experience heaven right now there's so many people ready to go home because they're just so tired of fighting then I'll tell you yes there is some fight but also tell you that in that fight you can fight with the kingdom and ahead in heaven of God you know what I don't have to have these things because I don't have to strive I've already been giving them this is what God has done for me this is what I possess so then you start to release heaven out of you your children your family your jobs your ministry the future dreams and desires that you keep putting on the Shelf and thinking it's never going to happen and I'm going to tell you that too once you understand your position you'll start taking dreams off the shelf and saying all right let's let's do it now now's the time because we've been talking about this whole time the first point you reign in your position okay why because you're equipped through righteousness that's number one number two you reign through identity see once you understand your position okay it's because he died for me it's because he took my sins it's because he gave me his righteousness right again understand correctly right you lay that fountain because he's giving me his promises that are yes and amen for right now because of this I can reign in my position because I know what my position is hallelujah if I start going if I went into another ministry and said all right people this is what we're gonna do they be like and you are who right if I walk into somebody else's home and be like okay this is our new house rule so husband be like and you are who used to be a show called wife swap watch out first time I watched it I thought oh this is gonna be yucky cuz I thought you know but what they did is they days basically took someone who is really really sloppy and someone who is really really organized and they switched them and how they did their households I don't have the high praise god I will never ever do anything like that but if you go into someone else's house and you start raining it doesn't work you don't have position you don't have covenants you don't have authority you don't have trust amen so in the same way I can't I can't change this world if I don't know where I'm coming from I can't take the kingdom of heaven into the kingdom of darkness and shine if I don't know how big that light is within me I'm gonna believe what darkness says about me if I don't know what light has made me already in Christ Jesus so number two you reign through identity because what you are equipped by the spirit see when you realize your identity it's not oh I'm carry the farm girl no I am a child of God a daughter of the king filled with the Spirit of God the Godhead bodily perfect now living and dwelling within you and I Oh hallelujah I'm gonna encourage you and this may sound strange but I just got this picture so I'm gonna throw it out there I believe it's the Lord I want you to go home and on one of your mirrors one of your mirrors that you look in a lot because we love our mirrors don't we I want you to take a pencil liner eyeliner whatever liner it is and I want you to draw just kind of this face so you could look at it but you still see this oval and I want you to do that and right on the outside see yourself after the spirit because here's the deal we'll look again we'll look at ourselves and we see ourselves and I want you to do something's gonna remind you you know what I am filled with the spirit so when I stand in that I am understanding man the Spirit of God is how God sees me this is what God sees he sees his spirit within me he sees his spirit within you now I know the moment I do that the kids are gonna be like whoa we get to write on the mirrors no this is mommy's special mirror okay so when you see yourself after the spirit galatians chapter 4 verse 6 s and because you are sons God has sent forth the spirit of his son into your hearts crying out Abba Father he has sent forth his spirit and says okay I'm putting my spirit within you and that spirit within you always wants to be in communion with me always asking always seeking he says if you can learn to walk after the spirit guess what you will always seek God I have a father what do you have planned for today when I stand before my mirror every day I pray over my day Lord what do you have for this meeting Lord what do you have for this relationship the Lord will show me key things over the day about meetings about situations that I wouldn't have known if I had to spend time with him in the mornings it's like this secret debrief that God gives me in the morning let me know let me know what's gonna happen on the day so that I'm prepared so that I can walk in the spirit amen in verse 7 of Galatians chapter 4 it says therefore you are no longer a slave but a son and if a son then an heir of God through Christ just like we said at the beginning when it talks about sons of God and being the son he's talking about you and I right son daughter he's talking about position here he says you are no longer a slave you're a son he said now you have a place you have position you have authority you have the bloodline of me praise the Lord so you have to reign through your identity I Know Who I am you know this is the big thing that the Lord taught me about identity years ago because I can hear teaching Andrews got amazing teaching on identity in Christ our identity in Christ is that we are righteous that we are holy that we are powerful that we have been redeemed we are sanctified in Christ Jesus that we have power we have authority this identity that when God sees us there's a certain way he sees us amen but identity in Christ is when you and I come to a place where we agree with how God sees us that I'm going to see myself the way God sees me that you're going to see yourself the way God sees you no matter what you feel like amen when somebody else is declaring over you your failures and your faults and your lack and your inadequacy you've at that moment got to declare I see myself the way God sees me and God doesn't see me as a failure can you and I get better absolutely all the time hallelujah that's what we have a teacher that's why we have a comforter that's why we have a counselor the Holy Spirit you and I are gonna make mistakes absolutely we're gonna fall down crash burn hard and usually in front of people unfortunately right and you know what if you know your identity you stand back up and say well praise God for the Holy Spirit he's gonna teach me not to do that again most people say no no you stay laying down so I can kick you for a while know your identity allows you to jump back up and say no I know how he sees me and even though I would love to stay down good wine I'm not going to because I'm gonna stand up with how he sees me because I know my position and when I stand up I get back on my position in Christ Jesus and I stand up in my identity because I'm standing up because of the Spirit of God inside of me it's not it's not about my flesh when God looks at you and I he doesn't see our flesh hallelujah when he sees us he sees Jesus and he sees his son and he sees he sees all the things that he's put inside of you and I and he says now is your time so if we know our position we stand up in our identity and we can start declaring this is Who I am because we know what we stand on this is my foundation and hallelujah look at me now and not in a prideful way not in an egotistical way not in trying to prove your anointing you're calling your womanhood if you're trying to prove something as a woman get over it honestly listen your gifts your heart your compassion that will make room for you you don't need to prove that your high heels are just as good as the cowboy boots amen you don't need to prove that to anybody you don't need to prove your worst if you're at home with your children you don't need to prove that you're just as good as the person that's in at a job you got to discover I know what my position is and I know what my identity is so I don't have to be anybody else I don't have to prove myself to anyone else because I know God in me well it'll at least you into a whole other level of confidence and security when you get passed over by people that you think you should never be passed over by you don't get into turmoil you're not trying to fight for anything you're just like you know what Lord it's between me and you and you and them amen well God if I got Passover for what I really want whoa you must have something so much better for me amen because you and I have determined what success looks like what acclaim looks like you and I have decided you know what I will prove them wrong when this happens throw it out the window amen just go outside just throw it outside go put it in the pond or something amen you know I know how God sees me so that's how I'm gonna see myself male/female single married divorced widowed with kids without kids kids that are following the Lord kids are not following the Lord see so many of you have felt like because you failed with your kids and they're not following the Lord you have disqualified yourself from touching anybody else's kids from God's kids listen you've sowed seeds and you may have made mistakes but I'm gonna tell you just like God said this morning nothing is too far gone nothing is too far gone and so you need to let yourself go from the condemnation that the enemy's trying to put on you that your kids didn't turn out the way you wanted them to your version of success he loves them so much more than you do he loves he loves your mom and your dad and your brothers and your sisters and everybody that you're fighting for and praying for and thinking that you have to save God loves them more than you do a man you got guys that just set us free Florida I think do you love my family more than I do so when I pray I'm gonna declare your love and your provision and your finished work of the Cross over them I'm not coming to you saying what should i do what should I say how should I pick them no lord I thank you your cross has accomplished it amen so we understand because we're equipped by the Spirit of God right again going back we're supplied with the necessary items for a particular purpose to live the kingdom of God what we are prepared mentally because I know who I am in the spirit I'm prepared mentally for the tasks that are ahead of me and because of that I know my identity so when you see yourself when you look at yourself when you declare of yourself I'm not my lack of education or the strength of my education amen I am not defined by how much or how little is in my bank account amen I'm not I am NOT successful my identity is not and if I have a ring on my finger or if I don't have a ring on my finger or how big that ring is on my finger amen or if I had a ring on my finger and the ring came off my finger hallelujah guys it's amazing the things that the enemy just tries to go when he tries to just us on right my tender spot I must run to the Lord and say Lord that's how you see me and I'm gonna find freedom in your perspective of me because when you get God's perspective just like what we said in Psalm in Isaiah the you and I will have eyes that are not dim we can reign in righteousness because our eyes are not dim we see through the perspective of his lens on our life his lens about our life amen so you're not seeing yourself as bad I don't know what else three you're the reigning you're calling so we're to reign in our position we're to reign in our identity and number three reign in your calling people say okay awesome now I get to do something most people will jump over position an identity to try to get into Kali if you jump over position and identity to get into Colleen you're just working and some of the work will have fruit and some of it will bless people but you're doing it out of you and eventually you will dry up you will get dry you will get tired you'll get discouraged right there come a place in a crisis that you don't have an answer for right and so if we jump over the host things and go straight into our calling it's we're trying to do it to prove to God something prove to others something prove ourselves something that's why these two things are so important when we understand our righteousness and who we are in the spirit that becomes the source for our calling so you say well what do I need to be equipped in to walk in my calling and it was interesting what God gave me because I thought of you know multiple things are like you know what you could say God you could say this means like that's not what I want to say amen he said you need to be equipped in surrender amen because if you and I can learn to surrender to his spirit because your brain has another idea your flesh has another idea but lord I must surrender to your spirit I'm gonna surrender to righteousness I'm gonna surrender to your truth in your word because when you can get to that place of surrender then you can rein in your calling because if you don't learn surrender you may do some things but you'll never do the great things that God called you to do because if we're holding on to us we will always have a lid of how far we think we can go again our definition of success may look like this and we think whoa wait look at that I'm successful and God says that's not success I have this whole other version of your life I have this amplified version of your life that's got all these beautiful words and descriptions and beauty to it and you're ready does a deal with the NIV that cuts out words I'm just saying cut out words cut out truths and streamline something and say there and guy says I have this whole other version for your life it's big it's fat heavy it's gonna give you a shoulder ache when you carry it in your purse right I remember I used to carry around this big spirit-filled Life Bible in Russia it's big one right and I really love this Bible it was I just got so much from it it was given by a friend of me Lester Sumrall jr. had blessed me with his Bible and I was like I just carried this Bible with me right and it's hard getting so heavy because in Russia you walk everywhere you know you walk up the five flights of stairs to your apartment because there's no elevator and you walk to the bus and then you take the bus ride and then you walk to wherever you go so this is walking and so I would get these big knots I get huge knots and my shoulders on my neck to the point that when someone went to rub it they could see the knots bulging out right but by golly I was gonna carry my sword okay so after a while I got a little one got a little Bible right then I got married and I started getting bigger stuff again because guess who started carrying my bag Mike's like how did I get married and all of a sudden I've got blush and hairspray in my backpack and I was like and two shades of lipstick okay okay God's got this whole other version of your life and if you and I don't get to surrender we'll say this is my calling this is the depth of and the how big and how great I could be but here's the deal when you surrender you'll start saying yes to absolutely ridiculous things it will not make sense to you in your brain what why would you ask me to do that but in surrender you're like but your God I know my position I know how you see me so if you say I can do it hallelujah if you say I can do it then I can and you step out in that obedience and you start to rein in your calling because your calling is just about obedience it's not about proving anything your calling is just obedience this is this this overflow of this intimacy with God that's so fun and so fulfilling amen so you start to reign in it and you start to see lives changed and transform you started and we're not talking about lives yes tribes and nations and cities but more importantly your sphere God's given you no one else can touch the sphere that God's given you amen I grew up reading these missionary novels novels are biographies right of these men and women who went in and change Nations and my heart was stirred in ice I said Lord I want to do that but you know what I can say out of every missionary story every missionary that I have ever past and current missionaries that I see God using in just these incredible ways overseas in in or inner-city farm towns or jungles I see this common thread that they surrendered they came to a place where they just surrendered and said I'm ordinary I'm so ordinary plain but I'm gonna surrender to your greatness and I'm gonna start having a picture of your greatness in me and then I'll be able to step out in obedience not because of me but because of your so great that's how you change your seer that's how you start to rain in your calling and your gifts and those talents and those natural things that you've been leaning on will go to a whole other level when you surrender them to Jesus all of a sudden the supernatural touches that thing whoa we and people see Jesus they don't just see you any longer they see Jesus you want people to come up to you and say how did you and you're like I know ordinary huh ordinary extraordinary Andrew says that you know God loves taking an ordinary person and doing extraordinary things in them and through them and we don't do that because we set this massive dream list and say god I'm gonna do that for you no in those dreams that you have those dreams you've even written down I've got things written down but I've written them down from position and identity because when you start writing down dreams from your position and your identity from your righteousness and who you are in the spirit you'll write down or ridiculous things amen sometimes I'm like I don't know if I want somebody to read this right because they're gonna think I'm conceited but if you will surrender to God you know that you're ordinary can take you to places that only God can open up testimonies that only God can create so when you start declaring everyone in my family and generations after me will know God and serve the Lord in their callings not my definition of what I think their calling is but in their definition your definition God so my generations will declare the righteousness of God in the sanctuary as part as part of my dream I'm not responsible for their decisions I can just serve them from my place of authority and identity and my calling and then God can do a work that's way past me amen you can stand before kings and priests I remember one time I was in Bible School and there was a woman that came always came to our church and she was a an amazing woman of God and she I remember one time real quick I was telling her goodbye I said hey I'm sorry I have to leave real quick I have to go back down to Bible School and she just said hold on and she just said you will stand she says my anointing because she was amazing she said my anointing on my life I pass on to you you will stand before kings and priests he says you will stand before presidents he says you will stand in the Assembly and you will minister the gospel she said okay go you can go now and so you know you can get things like that you can get these great words over you and then you look at your current life and go well that doesn't match Amen have you ever gotten a prophetic word that makes your heart just soar your spirits leaping and then you go how's that suppose that happened that does not match anything that's happening in my life right now oh I'm so and you think you know they're like thank you thank you are you false prophet are you delusional can you hear God because it doesn't match up of how you feel about yourself because your identity is you're not seeing yourself the way God sees you hallelujah and so we'll try to figure out these great mighty words even something in the Bible we look at and say well this is declaring over me but do you know what's going on in my life God what's going on in my life and what your word is saying who I am right now don't seem to line up because we're trying to accomplish it out of our flesh versus out of our position and receiving that word on okay this is the word so this position says this is Who I am so no matter what is happening in my life this is my reality and this is what I declare over my situations and my body and my finances and my marriage and my situations from that place of authority I'm gonna declare that now even though I don't feel like it in the natural and then God will start having you do things in a way that you never imagined because you think okay for example for me if I'm gonna stand before kings and priests and presidents well then somehow I need to obviously get a really good degree in a really good position and get some power and get some authority where people want to come and talk to me right and then God took us to Russia and we had all of these beautiful young men and women in our Bible school and we just loved on them and served them and they just they were from all these nations Zimbabwe and Malawi and Kenya and India and China and all these nations right and we just loved ah no we were their family we were their teachers we were their mom and dad and we'd have them for four or five six years because they were going through university at the same time they were coming to Bible School and you know what they're government officials today they serve in Parliament and Nations they're doctors leading billion-dollar industry in the medical field now I have students that are directors of Bible School that have students in their school that are in government going on their way to presidency in their nation sometimes you will think something will needs to be a certain way God has spoke something to you and you've got this thing planned out of how he's supposed to do it and he's got this whole other beautiful way of your story and the things that he's prophesied over your life and the things that he's preordained for your life the good things he's prepared for you beforehand he's got this beautiful way that he's gonna do it that amazes even you amen and you don't have to try to prove your calling you know how to prove your position you just stand in your identity and let God live out of you in the uniqueness and the richness and the beauty of God in your life come out of you it was interesting and I didn't know why God wanted me to share this today but I got this picture while we were in praise and worship and it was a picture of an actual photograph that I took excuse me and we were serving in Russia and we had again all these young men and women college students in our Bible school that we were loving and teaching them who they were in Christ and their identity and how much God loved them and all this stuff all the stuff that we're teaching today this is what we taught them every day every day every day and all my heart was nations and tribes right and I wanted so bad with my Colleen right because again you have things on your heart you have things that you feel like God's called you to do and you just feel sometimes you feel stuck or frustrated when's it gonna happen how is it gonna happen how am I gonna get there who do I need to help me what doors do I need to open up and so I had this same thing I had this calling and I had this burning word in my heart that I was supposed to go to nations and tribes I wanted to I believed that I was gonna die in the jungles I was ready deepest darkest places and so I had this whole dream on my heart to go to nations and tribes and God has this go this whole other route right he has this in Russia and he has this you know Sousa stand before kings and priests or how's this supposed to happen President's House is supposed to happen and God does this whole other story does this whole other version this amplified version right of how we're gonna affect these young people and sew into them and create in them an understanding a leadership than that they never were taught in their churches and never taught in their nations what we've taught them biblical leadership and now they're leading their nations and I wanted good all these tribes and I was ready to put a backpack on right and just go I was ready to I was ready to have short chop boy cut hair cause of lice because I know when I came back from India I had head lice and I gave it to all my family here's a souvenir from India and [Laughter] my dad has a long beard and long hair and as my mom is sitting there nitpicking you know nitpicking come on it's a real thing as my mom is nitpicking my dad's hair I've sit there and he's growling at me he's thinking you'll never go overseas again so I had all these plans of how I was going to go to tribes and nations right we were in dr congo and this is the picture that the lord gave me in worship today we were in dr congo and we were going to the pygmy villages okay so the pygmies you know the men only about this high and we were walked about two hours through the jungle and dr congo now because of dr congo they're surrounded by ten different nations and every nation at one time or not or at multiple times has declared war on dr congo because of their richness when they dig up roads they have to throw off diamonds and gold because the ground is just saturated with richness and natural resources so everybody wants that including America and Russia and China besides all around them as a nation and so we're going into these pygmy tribes and now the reason we had to walk so far in is because they were being driven deeper and deeper into the jungle is because when the armies would come in they would enslave them to go find food for them right there women just became prostitutes for the armies so they were driven deeper into the jungle so we're we're going we're about two hours into our journey into the jungle and I'm just giddy because I'm going to the jungle I'm going to a tribe right I felt like this dream was coming alive in me right and all of a sudden I'm getting this picture and I stopped and I took a picture of this this is what God brought back to me today is I stopped because the way the trail was again you know hi bush and the jungle trees but there was a trail and we're going down this trail and it kind of turned like this so I'm right here in this trail and what was amazing it Mike was behind me my husband and god said stop I want you to look at something and I looked in front of me and on the trail about five feet in front of everybody was every single one of these young men and women we were raising up and he said he said this is how I define success he said that you have raised up and others are going before you and he said in that moment he said my Colleen is bigger than what you think because I thought it was just me and my backpack going in and God said no I'm Cindy I'm giving you people to raise up and they're gonna go ahead of you and I took a picture of this because yours interesting because in this picture there was an American there was an African there was an Indian there was a Chinese student and there were Russians and there were all these students going into this village to preach the gospel how you think God wants to use you and how God wants to use you there's so much difference and there's things you'll have you'll start the grass will hold up and you'll start to walk in but I'm gonna encourage you if you want to rein in your Coleen unique need to keep surrendering those things to God even the very things that God gave you and has spoken to you you keep taking it back to him and saying hey I give this back to you I want you to do it in your way I want you to do it in your timing I want you to do it bigger than what I think because when you start to rain in God's good works that he's playing for you for your family for all these areas the spheres that you touch people are gonna see Jesus get to rain in your position because you are equipped by righteousness you reign in your identity because you've been equipped with the spirit you can rein in your calling because you can equip yourself with the help of the Holy Spirit to sir in their everyday Galatians chapter 2 verse 20 I'm going to close with this verse I have been crucified with Christ it's no longer I who live but it's Christ that lives within you it's Christ that lives within me within me so the life that we're now living in America in Colorado other nations other states the life of yearly living single married with children without children excuse me the glories running out no matter what life you're living right now where you're working you're retired whatever your life looks like right now you can live it by faith in the Son of God who loved you and gave himself for you this is what that beauty of surrender can look like Lord my life is yours and when you save my life is yours that means you hand over all the past with it you hand over all the excuses you hand over all the comparison you hand over all the doubts you hand over all the condemnation and say the life that I live I live by faith because I know my position I know that I'm righteous I know it's not me but it's him in me Amen I have everybody stand up I hope this encouraged you I hope this blessed you today you know I love about these seats it's like you get this ovation even when people stand up Coco Coco Coco boom it's awesome we had had all the events this last weekend when everybody stood up to give a standing ovation it was like two times as loud because the chairs were applauding it was awesome hey man you're gonna you're gonna hear some great word the rest of this day tonight tomorrow I want to encourage you to really listen because I said here that you have ears to hear you have eyes that are not dim God's going to show you things I will tell you this it takes courage to see and agree with what God says about you it takes courage to hear God and say Amen be it according to your will O Lord the reason it takes courage is because sometimes we've gotten comfortable in our past and we've gotten comfortable in our excuses and we got comfortable with our current life I'll just tell you that comfort it's just a slow way to die amen others tell you once you get in that comfort place you start making lots of excuses and in comfort will start to say no to God because God wanted to get you out of your comfort zone he wants you to rely upon him he wants you to walk in faith he wants you to walk in this power that's not in your natural power he wants to pull you out of your comfort zones so you can start you will start experiencing the kingdom of God you quit looking everybody else and saying oh I wish some day we quit doing that so I want you to hear I want you to see this next two days and I've got spoken things to you don't just leave it in your notebook and go on to the next thing on your to-do list amen come on ladies we we got to stop being addicted to our to-do lists and that defining us you need to the things that God is speaking to you you need to take it and meditate on it and say Lord how do I have the courage to walk this out now give me your strength and the Holy Spirit praise God says listen I'm right here with you I will show you I will lead you I will guide you amen father hi thank you for this time I thank you that we can come together and lord I thank you that you see us in a way that's so much bigger than we see ourselves and Lord right now we just say we're so sorry sorry Jesus for limiting and rebuking and making excuses for the things you want to do when we look at ourselves in the mirror lord we don't want to see ourselves we want to see you we want to agree with how you see us and so for for each and every person including myself lord I thank you that our perspective is enlarged these next two days that we start to see truly the magnificence of your spirit and your righteousness in us and all these other distractions and lies and attacks that are coming against the women of this house we rebuke right now we say we see you for what you are and we will not let you have a voice or a place in our lives we will not let these things rule and reign as the position and definition of our lives but instead Lord we declare Luke we declare our position in you lord I thank you Lord we love you I thank you for this time Lord I'm asking Holy Spirit but you would bring these things back to our remembrance remind us when we start looking at ourselves or start trying to do things out of our natural self or would you remind us of these things that we heard today I thank you Lord and Lord I declare over every woman that they will reign that they will step out publicly and do the things and be the person you've called them to be so that all might see that they have lifted Jesus high nor we love you we praise you we thank you for this time then Jesus me a amen hallelujah [Applause]
