all right you're live okay everyone i see we have several hundred people in i want to welcome everybody this is the first time i'm doing a youtube live and reason i'm doing that we do these uh you know on a bi-weekly bi-monthly basis i should say with my inner circle and it's actually a little different i can actually see and hear them we can uh you know answer questions we can communicate with one another and uh i enjoy it i i really enjoy getting involved with the the people in my cr we have 17 000 members in the crew we did a live with them last week it was terrific so um you know i'm going to uh really encourage all of you to look into that join.michaelfrancis.com if you want to have uh you know more engagement with me that's the place to do it but today i thought that uh you know we would just do a q a i get so many questions in all the comment sections um of all the videos that i run and obviously can't get to all of them we get you know thousands and thousands just about on every video and i appreciate that you know i know you're tuning in and and most of you are enjoying the content so we appreciate that you know we're closing in i think on 600 000 members we really started the channel last year so i really appreciate all of you that are tuning in i see a lot of people from everywhere scotland germany ireland idaho everywhere so i appreciate argentina i appreciate everybody from all over the world i know we have a lot of followers everywhere so i appreciate so the way this goes you know i mean i can't see you but i can look at the chats and answer some of the questions and again you know if you really want to engage with me it's all about my inner circle join.michaelfrancis.com i know you get a lot of out of it we put a lot of content in there yesterday we had something about networking how important it is how it's helped me in my life you want to hear stories about my past life and how they apply to what i'm doing today and how they might apply to what you're doing that's the place to do it but let's get right into some of the questions i see there's some good ones already there's somebody from hawaii i'm going to be in hawaii in november i believe i'm speaking at a church there so if you follow me you'll probably find out where maybe i can meet you there and man these things are going pretty quick can we slow him down at all we got several hundred people in already okay uh did you know eddie klebak from pittsburgh curious we were told he was connected never heard of him my friend doesn't mean he wasn't connected but i certainly don't know him somebody from montreal canada somebody from las vegas a person in las vegas i don't know if you ever saw my show there i had a show there over at the plaza called a mob story it was about the history of las vegas set to music and dance very successful show we were going to be on the strip last year but obviously covert uh close this down we may come back next year we'll see how that goes and let me see my name is john and i'm from brooklyn new york well you know that's where i was born and raised green point um brooklyn was my dad's hometown that's where i was raised then we moved out to long island still love green porch changed a lot that's for sure can you cover the 1991 mobsters movie on the next mob movie monday i'll get to that you know i like that film um i think that's the one christian slater if i'm not mistaken and a bunch of the younger guys it's pretty good film pretty well done uh lucky luciano and a couple of the guys was about that era so yeah i'll get to it um in the future and we have yankees game yankees just lost to seattle so let's not even talk about them crazy season that they're happening they're up they're down you know who knows where they are uh how many times did you meet roy demayo um not very often but i knew roy i met him a couple of times i'll tell you a quick story uh i had two jaguars at one time back in the 80s and both of them were stolen at one point in time one morning both of them were stolen so i made a couple of calls around town and i did find out that they were at roy's chop shop and i did get him back and uh you know roy and i kind of laughed over that back uh back then but i didn't know him really well i'll be honest with you but i did have occasion to meet him everybody knows roy's story or pretty much of you pretty many of you do uh you know kind of sad the way it ended but he was uh he was one of the rougher guys i can tell you that okay let me see we got to slow this down tell us about gas pipe you know there's uh everybody knows who gas pipe is i think you do if not look him up you know he's doing i think 400 years in prison you know tough story there he cooperated for a while then i believe they threw him out of the witness protection program a lot of people talk about gas pipe like he was the one that started the whole gas tax fraud business i can tell you that's not true there was a lot of people that were in the gas tax fraud business you know defrauding the government out of tax i was one of the principal players myself and larry iorizzo all i can tell you is i didn't invent it we didn't create it but i think we took it to another level i think we did it better than most of the people did and we had a pretty long life we ran it for about seven or eight years so that was a good run and you know we were able to switch things up when the government kind of seen what we were doing but um you know eventually it ended my partner larry ir israel became an informant i actually went to prison based upon uh you know some of the uh charges in that in that whole case so um but he he did not anthony caso you know gas pipe did not invent the business i don't know who did the russians were involved in it they were doing it they couldn't do it like we were doing it because it was very difficult to get a license a wholesale license i had a connection to get the licenses we had 18 licenses at one time so with those uh 18 license we were able to service a lot of different people that were trying to get into the business so it's really complicated can't get into it and explain it all now but i can tell you it was a very complex operation i will say i think we did it better than most we had it down pretty well and we we had a good run with it but again i didn't create it i wasn't the only one in it uh but i'm pretty well known for it because i went down for it and you know we made a tremendous amount of money and uh that's that so what do i think of the baby gangs of naples well i don't think too much of them you know i don't lose any sleep over them look you know the mafia in italy that's where it all began and they're real groups there no doubt about it and uh you know some of them have obviously come over uh from italy to the united states we did know them one thing that you should know these are two separate organizations cousin austria here in america and uh the mafia in italy they're similar in many ways but they're different in other ways if you're a made member of kosan austria here in america you're not automatically made in italy and vice versa we respected one another you know but we didn't tell each other uh our secrets we weren't supposed to so uh two separate organizations but obviously similar in some ways and not very similar in others any update on the tv show yes i can give you an update uh the second and hopefully the last draft of the pilot uh is being delivered this week probably tomorrow and uh once that happens they're starting to cast we already have three seasons uh you know they're already summarized uh whenever you're presenting a television series to the network they like to see you have at least three seasons we're going to have at least two cast members you know they're going to be atlas cass myself and my father sonny francis they'll cast us both and then uh we'll be off and running with a network so um it's going to be happening soon you know i'll keep you updated on it and that's another thing if you're in my crew in my inner circle we're going to be arranging a um a premier showing for all of us you know you'll get to see it before anyone else and you'll get some insider scoops before anyone else join.michaelfrancis.com i know you get a lot out of it you know the inner circle uh you can contact people that are in there already the amazing thing that's happening in the inner circle is people are starting to network with one another i'm actually going into business with two people from the inner circle so a lot of things are happening in there uh postcard during covert and postcovid a lot of encouragement a lot of people helping each other out you know in different circumstances a lot of people struggle through kobit and it's great to see how unified and and what a family this group is becoming so join.michaelfrancis.com if you're interested uh we'd love to have you uh many saints of newark i saw the trailer you know i don't know much about it you know hopefully it's going to be a good one i'll certainly watch it when it comes out it looks like it's got a good cast uh the fact that uh you know gondolfini's son is in it i think is uh is really cool um you know i heard some good things about him so we'll have to wait and see you know how i am with these films you know it's all about authenticity to me and i want to get this straight too you know because last week uh this past monday rather on mob movie monday i reviewed one of the episodes of the sopranos i think it was season two uh episode 13 the last episode it was called fun house i reviewed that because i did uh i i sat down with vincent pasteur uh this past uh actually today at pre-med uh and thank you i mean it's tracking very well but i did not watch the entire soprano series i said that early on i watched the first season and then i kind of lost lost interest for whatever reason i don't know why not because it was bad i just kind of lost interest but you know when i went back and started to look at it again and again i still haven't watched the whole series i really see the brilliance in it it was brilliant david chase did a great job gondolfini was terrific terrific everybody was good so i'm gonna pick out certain episodes you know somebody said you know they called me on it because i didn't know who uh you know uh vance what else his name is uh silvio i forgot his name that he was the underboss you know so you could tag me on that you know maybe it's well deserved but again i have not watched the entire series but i'm picking up on it uh now a little bit more any stories about the buffalino family um you know i knew russ buffalino fairly well and the reason i knew him well because at the time tom de bella who was my boss he was acting boss for carmine persico and andrew russo who was my captain both when i was a recruit and when i became a soldier when i got made they knew russell buffalino very well and i would drive them quite often to pennsylvania to meet with him he was a nice guy he was very laid back uh i thought that uh joe petshi did a great job portraying him and the irishman really good job so i knew russ uh i never really did much business with him i more or less you know just went along for the ride and set in on some things but he was a nice guy and i did meet him on several occasions the westie splaine worth the tv series you know i knew jimmy kunin actually met him in prison he was away with my dad at one point time saw him in the visiting room uh several times nice guy i do know some things about jimmy i'm not going to reveal him right now at the appropriate time i might not bad things but jimmy was a tough kid no question about it you know he was the real deal the westies were a real deal uh they were tough guys and we you know did things with them certain point of time i never really got involved with them too often myself i knew them like i said but i didn't really conduct any business with them did i know philly lucky and sunny red i knew sonny red i met him a couple of times you know one thing about that life when you're an active guy like i was you get to meet a lot of people you don't necessarily do business with them but you get to get to meet a lot of people you know when i met so many guys weddings and funerals there were weekends i'm not kidding when i went to two or three weddings made guys somebody in the family their son their daughter i would go to the wedding i didn't even know who was getting married you know we sat at a table we gave an envelope that's how we respected one another and the same with funerals somebody passed away in a maid guy's family you know we were required to go to pay our respects so we met people there uh didn't necessarily do business with them but you met a lot of people and because i was such an active guy i had two auto dealerships i sold a lot of cars to a lot of made guys you know i i gave them good deals i also had a leasing company uh and of course in the gas business a lot of people wanted to meet me because there was opportunities with me to make some money so as a result i met a lot of guys and uh you know some guys you like better now it's like anything else you know you like better than others other guys you know you meet and you're respectful but you don't necessarily you know have a friendship with them but we all respected one another you know again what's your opinion on the irish mob again the westies were the ones i knew and they were real tough guys uh no doubt about it um but again i didn't do a lot of business with them you know i knew them more by reputation and a couple of guys that i bunked into here and there had lunch with one or two guys not going to mention their names uh but yeah they're a real deal i mean the irish guys are tough no doubt about it okay did i like the movie crazy joe uh i didn't see it uh was it about joe gallo i'll look it up but i haven't seen it what can you tell us about uh michael jordan scroll down a minute there about michael jordan's father's death that's a good question you know initially because i know michael jordan and his gambling habits are legendary there's no question about it michael is uh you know a big gamble he gambles on everything all the time and there was a time when i thought that his death might have been related to his gambling issues and i had heard that on the street since then i i don't think that's true and i've said this before i debunked that issue i don't think it's true i know a little bit about the guys that are locked up as a result of his murder i don't think they were connected in any way and you know on the uh the last dance you know i heard michael uh say something that i really agree with i used to say michael had a gambling problem but michael clarified that he said he doesn't have a gambling problem he has a competition problem and you know why i agree with that because people that have gambling problems they gamble away their money you know they gamble their their their rent money they gamble anything well michael he covers all his losses he gambles for sport more than anything else but he doesn't have to worry because whatever he gambles he has the money to pay it off so i do believe he has a competition problem and i took it back about saying he has a gambling problem even though he loves the gamble so you can interpret it any way that you want okay here's a good one how do you feel about the chin was he smart chin was very smart i met chin on a couple occasions now i want you to know something about chin he was the most powerful guy uh in all five families at one point in time the real boss of the genovese family obviously he was close to fat tony and i wouldn't call fat tony a make-believe boss he was a boss also but he did report back to chin but they you know i mean there was a lot of power with both of them but chin really did call the shots i met him a couple of times through a guy one of his soldiers by the name of fritzie givenelli who was a big bookmaker um in queens and we were we were very tight and he got in touch with me once he said chin wanted to meet me and so i went to see him we walked up and down houston street you know he had a beard and he hadn't shaved his hair was all mussed up he was in his bathrobe and we just walked up and down and we had just great conversations about a lot of things he really respected my dad told me he had a lot of respect for me and i really appreciated that coming from him and you know there was some talk uh about something going on at the time and chin made me an offer he said to me michael if you ever want to leave the columbos and come with our family he said i'll make that arrangement for you he said remember that that's an offer that you have from me and i didn't do it but i really appreciated it and i thought coming from him uh you know that was uh that was really nice and you know i didn't do anything for him to earn that you know he just extended himself for whatever reason i don't think he really liked persico my boss i might have heard some things that you know maybe they would give me a hard time at some point in time which is part of the life uh but uh yeah chin was uh he was as smart as a fox he was very clever and you know people asked me if he was really crazy look to play the crazy for over 30 years be that powerful and actually get away with it you got to be a little crazy but uh he was crazy as a fox over 2000. uh and mike was the chicago outfit ever part of the five families are on the commission they did have a seat on the commission there were nine seats on the commission nine legitimate families at one point in time after luciano created the commission uh but no they were never you know part of any new york family they were their own family they still are their own family uh but they're powerful in their own right you know chicago was a city whenever we as maid guys would leave new york and go to another city where there was a a real family like kansas city cleveland youngstown chicago places like that new orleans tampa florida we had to check in with um you know with somebody in that family we had to put it in record that we were going there and if we were going to do any business we had to put it on record with those people so yes chicago we had to do that they were a legitimate family los angeles we didn't have to do that uh because they weren't legit family out here i'm not downplaying you know uh any of the guys out here but they weren't a legit family and somebody asked me that so i'm answering that okay have you considered discussing any music related to the mafia whether historical or humorous our song i'd want you to hear is smash mouths pedrino i'd love to hear it i've never heard it before but you know look frank sinatra i think some of you know recently i had the pleasure of staying at his compound a friend of mine owns it bought it from frank sinatra and i brought my family there we stayed on on his compound on father's day and it was a great experience the memorabilia and the artifacts that we saw there were just uh you know i love sinatra he like uh you know he marked an era for me i met him several times at the copacabana when i was younger with my dad i met him later on um at the uh italian american civil rights league uh he came there once or twice for joe colombo my dad did know him well and uh and i met him several times i love sinatra was he connected you know he was connected in a sense that he knew a lot of the guys did he owe anything to guys did he you know uh were they you know did he have to pay tribute to them no he nobody put their arm on sinatra like that he did favors and we did favors for him in return i remember one time his son was playing at a club you know frank sinatra jr was playing at a club that my father had an interest in my father was in jail and frank sinatra jr was coming to play at the club and the first night he was there uh very little crowd so they sent word out to me hey michael can you help the situation again my dad was away and i said sure and we filled the place the next three nights for him and he got great reviews and that you know you do favors for one another that doesn't mean you own them that doesn't mean you're paying tribute you do favors you know he was italian we all appreciated his singing he did favors for us and we in favor and in return did favors for him michael did you know anyone in the detroit partnership no i did not you know i i i didn't really know any from detroit probably met some people along the way but you know nothing uh uh nothing notable for me that i would remember is there anything you haven't told anyone about mafia life that you're willing to share with us now you know look there probably is guys and ladies whoever's on here i want to make this clear you know and i think it's look i have nothing to hide um from all of you and when i say that i mean this people ask michael did you ever speak to the government the answer is yes i spoke to the government i'm not saying that i didn't as part of my plea agreement you know did i have immunity for crimes and did i make a deal to cooperate with the government as part of my plea agreement no i did not my plea agreement is a matter of public record i got a 10-year prison sentence 15 million restitution there was no cooperation whatsoever attached to it i went off and did my time later on yes i did speak to the government but i did it in such a way i was very careful i didn't want to put anybody in trouble and as a result of that i didn't and i can get into all of the you know it wasn't easy man i tell you this right now government is not stupid it wasn't easy but a lot of things happened along the way that i just really caught a break and i've said this time and time again i'll say it now i never told anything to the government that put anybody in prison and i was very very careful of that very careful not to hurt anybody i never said a word about my father you know and i told him don't ask me anything about my father you know i did talk a little bit about junior you know he was my boss but he was already doing 139 years i didn't reveal anything to them that they didn't know so look i can go on and on about this but i won't i will tell you this i don't have immunity i don't have immunity for crimes so there's things that i did in the 25 years of my life that i'm not going to talk about because if i do you know the government could be upset with me and why would i do that there's no reason for it you know so um you know there are other people out there that can talk about a lot of things i cannot and i'm repeating that i do not have immunity from the government for certain things that i did in my life so i don't talk about it and i'm never going to talk about it and that's that so are there things possibly that i haven't talked about yes but you know that's probably just from memory you know other things but you know i i mean i can't remember every day of my life in that life i've tried to tell as many interesting stories as i possibly can but i can't remember everything you know things do come to me when when certain interviewers ask me questions they jog the memory a little bit and then yeah then i can talk about certain things michael do you know anything about mario messina dinero no i do not i'm not familiar with him did you ever hear about the chinese mob in the street um i did because you know right next to little italy downtown was chinatown and a lot of the uh the kind of the mobs came out of there so i met a couple of guys in prison in uh in metropolitan corrections center in manhattan that were involved in the chinese gangs i wouldn't call it a mob i'd call it gangs there and they're pretty rough kids i can tell you that pretty rough guys they they didn't have a lot of value on human life that much i can tell you but i didn't have any business with them i didn't have any confrontations or run-ins with them no michael did you watch the new landscape movie yet yes i did as a matter of fact i had a sit down with meyer lansky the second was marilanski's grandson yesterday i know him we met in vegas he lives there and we reviewed the movie together so it'll be very interesting i think to many of you uh we're going to air it on mob movie monday this coming monday so i thought it was a good film you know i i i'm not going to talk about its accuracy now you got to watch on monday but i thought it was done well harvey keitel did a brilliant job for sure did luciano and costello go against genovese uh i think you know the story there yeah i mean they did at some point in time and i think i reviewed that one time you know in great detail but yes they did michael have you seen any of giano gianni rousseau's interviews uh i have and uh you know all i ask you to do is look at the comment section uh on gianna on johnny rousseau uh i didn't know him i don't think i ever met him i don't recall ever meeting him i might have bunked into him at one point in time maybe the italian-american civil rights league i don't know but uh i'm not going to comment on him i don't do that but yeah i've seen some of his things but you know look him up you know you'll you'll find out about him have you heard of max kershner joey the hitman interview no i have not how are the russian brighton beach guys i had three russian partners in the gas business mike markowitz lev persits and david bogerton they were some of the best partners i ever had they were great we were together for several years we never really had an argument with one another we made a tremendous amount of money together um you know i think i told the story how the deal i cut with them you know the the deal i cut with them was 75 percent me 25 them and they balked at that for a minute and they said michael that's not fair and i said no it's very fair i said because you guys are going to steal from me a little bit i know that it's the street so i won't be that mad if i'm getting the lion's share up front i said but don't let me catch her and that kind of set the stage for our relationship over the next several years and uh mike markowitz i believe turned in for him and he got killed left bursa lev pursets uh they went after him they shot him up he lived but i think he was in a wheelchair for the rest of his life david bo david bogerton who was i think the best out of the three of them he fled the country and i've kind of lost contact with him i spoke to him once or twice but not sure where he is now what he's doing michael did you ever meet nikki scarfa or his nephew i did meet nikki i don't know if i'd met phil i might have because nikki had people around him at the time i don't remember i got along very well with nikki scarfa i happen to like him very much we were going to do a deal in atlantic city together where we're going to unionize the uh we unionized two groups there the waitresses and bartenders and the security guards and we had a scheme or a plan to get that done that uh um the reverend al sharpton was involved in it's a whole other story i think i covered that in one of my videos so i don't want to be redundant if i've covered something already and i really appreciate we got over 2500 people in on this one now so uh really good and i'm going to remind you again if you want to really have a face to face with me one-on-one you want to see my face and i can see you get to know you better i want you to go to join.michaelfrancis.com that's my inner circle that's my group yes there is a fee for that but you get a lot i'm telling you not only from me i went into business i'm going into business with two people that were in the inner circle a lot of people are are communicating with one another it's been a tremendous resource i also have a crew that's a free uh you know free joining there we put a lot of content in there to help the crew along uh you know look for the past 25 years i don't know if you know this but i've been speaking all over the world i've spoken at over 2000 events worldwide and most of my events uh you know i try to encourage people you know obviously steer them out of the life because the street life is not the way to go give them the uh um you know the benefit of some of my experiences in life and try to help people it's what i've been doing you know i've been extremely blessed people and i do believe what the bible says to those that have been given much much is expected in return and i try to do my part and i've been given a lot you know i've been given my freedom i'm alive everybody predicted that i would get killed after i walked away from the mob but here i am i've outlasted you know many many guys in my era just about all of them um you know that are either dead or in prison for the rest of their lives so i've been a very fortunate guy and i like to give back and that's it and i'm not you know bragging about it i'm not looking for any kind of bouquets thrown at me i'm just saying that's what i do and you know i'm married to a woman that does the same thing my family is into that so if we can benefit you that's why we started the crew why we started the inner circle and it's working so join.michaelfrancis.com check it out if you like it you know come on in if you don't hey you know nobody's twisting your arm okay michael how can i look as amazing as you at your age uh at your age well listen you know i'll tell you my dad's secret my dad died at 103 and he didn't look a day over 75. he had a full head of hair it was as gray as about mine is right now you know and he he just he didn't look his age and uh i you know he used to lie about his age all the time and then my dad said you know i don't count the prison time so my dad did 40 years so in his life you know in his estimation he was like 60 something years old i mean i did eight years in prison so if you don't count the eight years you know i'm actually 62 but i don't know you know look i'll tell you what i think the secret is fortunately if you have good dna you have good genes obviously that's great but you know i never smoked i never drank to act to excess and i never got obese you know one thing if you let yourself go you know in in your weight and your eating habits that's going to come back to haunt you so you got to try to maintain a healthy lifestyle you don't have to go crazy you don't have to exercise every day i don't try to be a little bit active don't smoke don't drink obviously stay away from the drugs you know that's tough that tears you up and boy i've seen that you know really hurt people but you know just fortunate just blessed what could i say i feel great i don't feel any older than i did when i was 30 or 40 years old honestly so uh do you know bill bonanno i did not know bill bonanno i you know he said that he met me one time maybe i did maybe in prison maybe out in california but i didn't know him he said some things about me i don't know why but you know a lot of people take shots for whatever reason they have but uh you know if i met him i might have met him but i really didn't have a relationship with him no why are you post-modern christian and not catholic you know i grew up catholic um and i don't you know denounce catholicism in any way they believe in jesus christ you know christianity is just something that i embraced you know i believe in in the bible and i just love you know exercising my faith in a christian way and um you know that's basically it and i again i don't denounce catholicism at all um you know there are some things about every faith that you can knock but i don't do that but i would rather practice as a christian because i feel nourished i feel comfortable the bible is my resource and my guide and it's worked well for me and i believe it with all my heart so we can take that up in another time if you're in the inner circle you hear a lot more of that for me talk on depression you know um it's a hard subject you know it's real there's no question about it is a clinical uh issue i'm not the one that really can give advice about it i've seen people get depressed or get into a depressive state i know it's real and i know how deflating it can be you know but i'm not the one to guide you or give you guidance on something like that i can certainly be the one to encourage you and try to help you get out of it and again my inner circle this is the place to go my crew because we're not going to do this that often but in my inner circle and in my crew we have a lot of interaction you know among one another could you talk more about the time you met capone well i never met capone my dad met him you know um i capone died before i was born so i never met him uh but my dad did meet him uh remember capone came out of brooklyn before he went to chicago and my dad was born in uh i think 1916 and 1917 somewhere around there and i believe capone came into my grandfather's club uh i shouldn't say club bakery he had kind of a cafe and bakery in brooklyn my my dad met a lot of guys back then uh and capone according to what he told me was one of them michael have you ever heard of the history of the mob in saint paul minnesota not really i don't know if there is a presence there so can't really comment on it michael did your father ever meet luciano my father said he did meet luciano told me stories about him uh you know i think my dad at times did embellish things but he wasn't a liar you know he didn't lie about things and my dad didn't have to make himself be any more important than he was he was you know very important in his own way my dad made his own way he didn't have to you know puff himself up by talking about other people uh so yes uh he did meet luciano mike did you ever meet sonny black yes i did met sonny black uh i liked him and uh said what happened to him obviously uh you probably all know that i am friends now with joe perstone uh joe perstone donnie brasco and i met once back then uh fortunately and never did any business with him back then but today i like him very much and uh look um you know you got to respect what he did to be undercover for six years like that that wasn't easy i can tell you that and every day could have been a day when he met his maker because if he made a mistake or somebody you know uh you know was able to find out who he is it could have been a lot of trouble so but anyway i like him very much michael do you know tommy di simone met him once or twice but didn't know him real well i did know him by reputation obviously never had a run in with him anything like that so you know can't comment too much on that how do you feel about crazy joe gallo and his relationship with your family you know look um i didn't know him well obviously i did meet joe my father knew him very well uh you know he was a hot head you know what happened to him uh he was involved you know there was a story my dad told me i was never able to verify it but again my dad wasn't a liar so i don't believe that he exaggerated things but during the gallo preface war you know the gallows did take some uh profacia guys uh they kidnapped them and they held them for ransom and my father told me and i remember that time i was a kid during that war and i remember my father was out he was away for a while he didn't come home i remember i think i talked about one incident when he came into the house and he hadn't shaved in a long time and one of his soldiers joey brancato was on the steps uh you know on the porch of my house like watching guard because my father was somebody they would have wanted taken out he was a you know an important guy and he was a preface ally at the time and um when they held the the captives joey gallo joe and albert gallo asked for my father to come to negotiate the deal for their release and he did and my father could have walked into a trap and he didn't obviously he did he was successful in getting them released now um the only one that ever told me that story was my dad but there again he had no reason to lie to me so i do believe there was some truth to that maybe there was other people that went with him somebody else although my dad told me he went alone and knowing my dad i have no reason to disbelieve that but again i didn't witness it i wasn't there i didn't see it so i always put kind of a you know you know i let people know where i stand when it comes to third hand or secondhand information did you work with chrysler no i didn't um i don't know why that question was asked for any reason um i did read leah lay iacocca's book i liked it very much when i was much younger but no i did not i did not meet him i did not work with chrysler have you met billy batts no i did not did not know billy batts how would you rate vigil mor mortensen's performance in mafia movies i think he's a great actor i liked him i liked him in the green book um i liked him in uh there was nothing something about the russian mob i forget the name of it um that movie uh but i thought he he's a good actor i like him okay what did your dad do business with interscope oh did your dad do business with interscope records and did he check should ignite that was a i saw that story on youtube that was a full story my father never met suge knight i checked this out with my brother because my brother was around with my dad at that time i was not my brother said that was a false story it never happened there was no truth to it my dad did not check suge knight suge knight's attorney david kenner is my attorney uh and i double checked uh my dad never met suge knight and that story wasn't true so people like to make things up you know it's funny on youtube you get a lot of stuff that's going on youtube you know you got to check the source and you got to double and triple check some people sometimes a lot going on that's just not true is this something you want me to see uh what is the inner circle again it's uh it's um join.michaelfrancis.com i encourage you to go on and take a look at it see if it's for you if it's something you may want the inner circle is people that sign up to be part of my crew to have a lot of engagement with me and with each other it's kind of a family a community of people we we have a lot of dialogue between us we do a lot of q and a's i see them they see me they email me i have other members of my team that discuss things with them uh we put content in there we give them ebooks you know teaching them some of the skills that i have they get some special preferences for it for instance uh when my television show does come out uh when we do have the premiere they're gonna be the first ones to see it they'll be invited out to see it with me when my book comes out a mafia democracy later this summer or early in the fall they will get advanced copies of it they get certain privileges we're also getting together as a group you know probably twice a year whoever can make it because we have people in the inner circle all over the world but whoever can make it will come out and uh and spend uh at least a day maybe two days with me i think the one we're planning that will be coming up shortly is going to be at the mob museum in las vegas going to be a great one i can tell you this a lot of people the inner circle will be there and uh will be a lot of interaction between us so it's a great resource people i guarantee you'll benefit from it you know it's all about networking networking is very important in life and you know there are people in the inner circle from all walks of life and you know i am going into business with two of them right now they have proposed uh opportunities to me that uh that i'm jumping on both of them were good so a lot of things could happen in the inn circle and then we have the crew and it's the free place to a free community to join there are some advantages there but the inner circle is really the spot in the crew we have almost 18 000 people already so people are getting a lot out of it and they're staying in there because we work hard to provide content and resources and uh and benefits to everybody that's a member so did you meet frank thierry fonzie tierra yes i did meet fonzie and i actually liked him he liked my dad a lot and i did meet him early on in my uh you know when i was a recruit and then when i first came in as a soldier yes i did meet him knew him and liked him did you know frank kelly no i did not did not know frank he's after my time and that was a freak thing that was not a mob hit that was put on him for those of you that don't know the story frank was uh hit about you know a year or two ago and it was a random shooting and killing late at night outside of his house person that perpetrated that allegedly uh is locked up right now i think they're going to try him for murder but it was not a mob hit did you ever meet the irishman no i did not i love the movie i did i did a review on it but no i never met him have you have you ever seen honor thy father it's about bill bonanno's life i didn't you know sometimes you got to twist my arm to watch some of these movies if if i'm not enjoying it in the first 10 15 minutes i'm turning it off when i watch one of these movies authenticity means everything to me and if the dialogue isn't right and if the mannerisms of the actors aren't right i just can't watch it you know that's why i loved loved the hbo gotti movie with armand asante and vincent pastor and uh you know all the great actors in that movie uh it was so terrific i just loved it the dialogue everything about it was great uh goodfellas obviously you know terrific joe pesci anything that he does is amazing obviously de niro is good pacino is terrific uh you know as lefty guns lefty rogerio and donnie brasco i really love them the sopranos is growing on me it really is you know is it realistic you know in some ways yes in some ways no but uh you know i'm really enjoying it and there's there's a lot of other things that i can talk about but if it doesn't catch me right away i kind of turn it out i turn it off will you take me to sinatra's house well it's not my house you know i can't just walk in there any time i want uh but actually at some point in time i believe it's going to be turned into a museum uh the owner you know my good friend will at some point in time turn it into a museum and then anybody can go but it's really something to see if you have an opportunity it's in palm springs actually rancho mirage if you have an opportunity to uh to have a visitor you should one day michael with sonny liston or rocky marciano associated with the mob you know rocky marciano my dad knew him you know you got to understand something mob guys we love the fights i mean i knew a lot of fighters veto at the firm i can name a whole bunch because we love the fight game uh but were they you know necessarily involved with us some of them we owned we had a piece of doesn't mean they were all taking dives you know don't think that everybody thinks the mob is involved everybody's taking a dive that's not true you know but uh were those deals done at times yes they were i'm not going to get into you know details on that sonny liston um no um you know people knew him obviously because again we love the game but uh i don't know of any real mob ties that sonny liston might have had do i think he took a dive you know in the muhammad ali fight yes i do i know that for a fact people can dispute that oh michael there's no reason to get into it what's the i know it happened uh people disbelieve that they can but uh you know i i know it happened hey michael do you know where is the ring today that russell buffalino gave to frank shearham is it in a museum i have no idea on that i didn't even know he gave him a ring uh listen you know the irishman was a good movie fabricated story frank sheerhan was not a shooter of jimmy hoffa nor was he a shooter of joey gallo absolutely false you could take that to the bank did not happen now does that mean it's not a good movie you know unless you're looking to go to see you know historical facts well then you know it's it's not great but the acting is great directing is great you know uh but it wasn't based on facts obviously there were things that might have been true in the movie but he did not kill hafer and he did not kill joey gallo that you can take to the bank uh michael please could you tell us anything about bumpy johnson you know not anything factual it's really only what i heard her and uh you know it's hearsay for me things that people told me so probably wouldn't be of interest and i can't really verify anything about it right now uh did you ever meet the guy from casino well which guy you know there were a couple of guys from casino so you know be more specific and i will let you know michael who is the mo i missed that okay hey michael are you going to make a mob movie monday review on once upon a time in america you know i've tried to do that two or three times but i just can't get into doing it for some reason it was a good movie i'm not saying it wasn't but long movie uh but uh you know we'll get into it at some point in time because so many people ask me about it and obviously it was pretty good so we got about 10 more minutes i'm going to do uh as many as i can so many questions did you have any link with the montreal mob no i did not um uh i i carried a couple of messages from my people to them uh early on in my my career i would say but i really didn't have anything to do with them no who killed kennedy listen you know you can't win in this argument but i can tell you that i believe okay without a doubt that the hit was mob related i was told that from too many people that were there and in the know one of them being my dad so um i believe it was mob related i said this the classified information that they have about the kennedy killing i don't believe will ever be released because in those in that classified information it will indicate that this was a mob hit and i just don't think that the u.s government wants anyone to believe that the mob could have gotten to a sitting president that's my feeling so i don't think that classified information will ever be released but i can tell you if somebody asked me to bet my life on it i would bet my life that it was a mob related hit and obviously i was you know 11 12 years old when that happened so uh whatever i know about it i was told and the sources were you know spot on for me okay michael can you please watch godfather of harlem i have watched it i like the series very much uh i don't think it was based uh on on real facts i know for a fact that chin wasn't the major drug dealer that they made him out to be in that movie but i thought it was done really well and yes i will get to cert you know when you have a series like that you can't you know review the whole series in one day or i can but i'd be skipping through it so i'll do certain episodes and i will get to that because i thought it was a very worthy series would you fight jfk i i i don't know if i can answer that he's dead so the answer would be no michael so why so many mob hits in restaurants well because people leave themselves unguarded in restaurants we happen to find out where they are and it becomes uh you know the spot what could i say uh it's not you know it's not that that's the preferred place you'd rather walk somebody into a room and hit him there but that doesn't always happen you always have that luxury so unfortunately a lot of times things happened in restaurants was your guest business in long island specifically all around new york thanks for your time was all around new york uh you know we were in new york we were in florida uh we were upstate new york we're on long island but we were ever i had we had several hundred stations we were up and down the east east coast so it was a pretty wide operation uh did you know nikki i'm assuming you you meant nikki scarfo and i said yes i did know nikki how do you feel about advertising marketing on social media i think it's the place to advertise social media is i mean you know if you're somebody like myself you got to have a social media presence today and i think if you can get a good plan to market on social media i think it's the place to go i think it's better than television it's certainly better than magazines uh it's better than radio i mean everybody's on social media billions of people so if you can get their attention it's not always easy but if you can get your their attention you have a platform certainly the way to go uh michael what are your thoughts on yakuza i really don't have any didn't have much to you know to do with any of them um but they're a legit group that much i know what are your thoughts on the q what is the most realistic mob movie you've watched again i think for realism number one would be the hbo gotti movie um goodfellas obviously donnie brasco obviously you know they're all up on top there they're all terrific movies what do you know about the upstate new york mob uh met people from utica um you know uh russ buffalino did also have a presence upstate so i knew guys up there um didn't really do business with them but i did interact with them during my time in that life hi michael respect from albania well thank you you know thank you very much who will win on sunday italy versus england obviously i'm rooting for italy nobody thought they were going to get there but i was invited to watch them at a big big screening in san pedro i don't know if i can make it i had some other things planned but uh go italy we'll see okay why the genovese the ib oh why the genovese the ivy league of the mob uh i never really heard that you know they're a big family powerful 250 members during my time never really heard that they were the ivy league but they were powerful group no doubt about it you know the gambinos and the genovese were the two biggest groups in terms of numbers they all had over 200 members during my time i'm not sure what the roll call is now but uh definitely very powerful tyson interview micah stood me up two or three times um but i'll get to him at some point in time he had all his people come down we had all set up and everything for an interview and then you know he came up he bugged out he had some kind of an excuse but he owes me he knows that i did his hotbox and we got i think nine million views already so he's going to come on i think he's preparing for his fight right now uh but i love mike you know he's very real and uh you know i understand him i understand how he operates but we'll get to do each other at one point in time i will sit down with him shortly respect to you michael do you know about mario farcion from detroit no i do not sorry about that my friend michael who is the largest family again gambino genovese they're kind of neck and neck um you know if i had to give it a little bit of a thumbs up i'd go with the genovese crew but i could be wrong but they're about equal in in terms of numbers is there any existence of the italian-american mafia in egypt never heard of that at all is there any related mafia stories to egypt no never heard of that sammy the bulls sit down i cannot even begin to tell you how many hundreds of people have asked me about this sit down with sammy i can only tell you this um you know we've had words back and forth you know throughout the years i would say um it may happen it may not happen if it does happen i'll look forward to it i'm sure sammy might i don't know and if it doesn't happen it doesn't happen but um stay tuned i think you're going to be hearing something very shortly if it is going to happen it's not going to be drug you know it's not going to be next year it's going to happen and if it doesn't happen we'll tell you it's not going to happen so i'm going to leave it at that at this point in time and look you know people ask me about sammy all the time he's a great storyteller i mean i go to his channel he tells great stories what could i tell you you know there's enough room on youtube for everybody so you know he he uh he's a great storyteller so if you want to you want to listen in i i tell you to do that there's no competition between us in that regard but i would tell you this it would be an interesting sit down because sammy and i come from two different places in that life and uh would be very interesting for he and i to sit down we probably butt heads no doubt about it um but you know there is a mutual respect there also i can tell you that because look he's the real deal i know who i was in that life um it'll be interesting and uh let's see if it happens that's all i can tell you i'm not making any promises i'm not saying yes or no but we'll see is there any existence i've said that already send me the bull yes two times he answered did you ever deal with the british mob no i didn't i reviewed uh you know the cray brothers thought it was a great movie he did a great job in that movie uh but i never had anything to do with them did you know anyone from new jersey ma back in the day yes i did i did know people from that crew got along with them uh did a little bit of a gas business with them um without getting into detail um but they're a good crew you know we can sit in them almost a new york crew you know new york new jersey they're pretty much the same but we do call new jersey the uh the stepsister of new york don't get insulted you know we don't mean any harm by it but it was just a joke really any dealings with gene gotti i knew gene met him once or twice but really no dealings with him no i understand he's home now did a lot of time in prison he stood up all the way so you got to give him kudos for that and uh i wish him and his family well uh colorado family um didn't really know them well um i met a couple of them in prison visiting with my dad uh in leavenworth penitentiary back in the 70s but did no business with them that i know of what was the opinion in general about pablo escobar cartels and the way they worked we weren't major drug dealers i get hit for this all the time guys and ladies i can tell you during my time in the life we were not allowed to deal with drugs i was told the day i got straightened out if i dealt with drugs i would die we get killed i knew guys in that life i told a story about anthony argello you know dear friend of mine who blew his brains out because he was dealing with drugs and he got caught and he didn't want to get killed so he killed himself it was a serious issue were guys doing it yes on the side were we major drug dealers no did all the bosses say hands off yes did castellano say no drugs yes did fat tony in the chin say no drugs yes were they doing it on the side i can't answer that if they did i didn't know about it but we were told not to deal with drugs and that's it and we weren't allowed to do it and guys paid with their lives that's all i can tell you so please don't say mike that's wrong information i'm not trying to clean us up by saying we weren't drug dealers i'm just telling you the facts that's how it was ask sammy i don't think sammy dealt with drugs but ask him you know he'll let you know michael did you watch landscape i answered that already what was your favorite italian restaurant back in the days gosh we had so many back in the day uh i'm not going to name a favorite because people would get mad at me i did love creations in brooklyn but monty's in brooklyn that was my neighborhood and i loved those places but there were so many good places in italy too i mean i'm in in manhattan too so i'm not going to name anyone there were so many during that time i liked i like uh family style cooking so restaurants that did family style like creatures or bermontes i really love creatures is gone but montes are still there uh and their food is great don't forget now slices you say got the emblem we're coming to a neighborhood near you we're starting to branch out we're going to be all over the country hopefully all over the world um you know in the next several years we're working on that now you're going to love the pizza trust me i know good food i know good pizza i wouldn't put my name on it if it wasn't good i come out of brooklyn and new york and people say you know that's the best pizza in in the country uh probably is but there's good pizza restaurants in a lot of places now but ours is really good everybody that's been in there loves it so you can check now online people will tell you the same thing michael you're an inspiration respect thank you very much i appreciate that what's the best mob books you know somebody asked me that i didn't read all of my books you know i read mine blood covenant you know quitting the mob um you know i we put a lot into those books but five families by sewing rob huge book very complete i know so and rob he knows the life you know he's he's an investigator he studied it pretty good book a lot of accurate things in there he does his research and he doesn't make things up he doesn't embellish things so it's called the five families and it's by selwyn rob uh if you're really a mob enthusiast or you really want to know about the life the history i would recommend that book okay what was paulie vario like i got along with him uh he owned you know a couple of clubs out on long island that i frequented uh paulie was for me a good guy you know other people say differently but i got along with him i got along with most everybody people i got to be honest with you a few guys that you know maybe i rubbed them wrong or they rubbed me wrong whatever it might be but uh that i didn't really care for but you gotta understand something made guys in that life whether we liked one another or not we were respectful to one another you know that's just how it goes that's what the code that's what it meant to us we had to be respectful to one another you need to understand that so we didn't ditch one another maybe we talked behind somebody's back to somebody close to us you know but we were respectful of one another it's just the way we behaved and uh you know even today i mean look whatever i feel about sammy sammy was a real deal and if i ever get there's going to be respect there and he's going to respect me we have a mutual respect even if we didn't like each other and i'm not saying we don't but i'm just saying even if we didn't we believed in kosanostra and we respect each other as members of kosan austria that's just the way it goes and i'm not going to talk behind sammy's back i don't think he's going to talk about mine maybe we've said a few things we're not going to carry on about it because we have that respect whether we like each other or agree with each other or not and if we do get together you're going to find out you know you're gonna find out so let's see what happens i mean that's all i'm gonna say let's just see what happens patrick bet david dear friend of mine i love patrick um you know what could i say you know we're good friends uh patrick has done very well for himself he's an inspiration and a lot of people uh you know uh have learned a lot from patrick and uh he's a great guy great family guy great business guy just a good guy people are saying you know patrick is trying to get me and sammy together stay tuned we'll see what happens okay we got uh hey mr michael i'm going to join your inner circle my name is trevor i'm from louisiana look forward to seeing you during a sit down i have an invention idea would like to present it to you that's the place to do it uh trevor yeah join the inner circle thank you very much for jumping on board yeah any ideas if you're in the inner circle and you have any ideas that you want to present to us that's what the community is about and if we can't do something ourselves because of the network that we have we may be able to introduce you to somebody that could have an interest or could help you in some way that's what i talk about when i mention networking it's very very important and as people got to know each other and got comfortable with with one another you know um you know they started sharing ideas and things are happening and coming out of it and the community is growing day by day and uh so i really do encourage you join.michaelfrancis.com that's the inner circle the crew michael francis.com go on there you know take a look at it if it's for you great and uh on my youtube channel you know i appreciate if you subscribe you know we've done a couple of giveaways when we hit uh uh 250 000 when we hit a half a million when we hit a million we're going to do a huge giveaway because look i don't take it for granted there's a lot of content on youtube people can go and look wherever they want there's so many choices and uh the fact that you're tuning in to mine is something that we appreciate and that's why we work hard to try to give you good content as best we could you know it's it's it's pretty much a full-time job doing that i want you to know that and i have a team of people that i work with uh so uh you know we put a lot of effort into putting good content up there as best we possibly can so uh you know thank you very much but uh subscribe you know if you can we appreciate it okay three three three thousand three hundred and eighty eight watching uh well thank you very much yeah we got some good numbers today we didn't really promote it so to see people jump on that's encouraging uh somebody said well i'm not gonna repeat that ignore somebody we'll let that go but i get it thank you very much and that's exactly what i do i don't get i don't engage in in things that i shouldn't be involved in um what is that wrap it up okay i'm being told to wrap it up uh so i'm gonna give you five more minutes hit me at the five minute mark but you know i really want to thank everybody this was great for me great experience people look you know i'll answer as many questions as i possibly can and if i don't know somebody or i don't know something i'm not going to make believe that i do i know what i know i know what my role was in that life i spent over 20 years on the street remember those people i was sonny franzis's son you know i do want to clarify something about that only because it's come up recently sunny francis is the only father that i know all right my mother was 16 when i was born my mother revealed later on okay that she was my father made her pregnant while he was married to someone else ann schiller my grandparents didn't want uh didn't want anybody to know that that my mother got pregnant at 16. they forced her to marry this fella louis grillo i believe that a lewis grillo i was told later on was really my father and that sonny franzisch was not my stepfather he adopted me i was legally adopted by sonny francis but he's the only dad i know whenever anybody would tell uh it would say stepfather my father would get very upset he always looked at me as his son and i always looked at him as my father he's the only father that i knew whether he was my stepfather or adopted father my real father what my mother revealed was it true i don't know why she would have said that i didn't find out until she wrote it in my book the author that wrote my first book quit quitting the mob along with me interviewed my mother and my mother told him this you know when i was already 40 something years old and i said my you never told me this is it true and she said yeah people are saying why don't you take a dna test why he's my dad doesn't matter you know he's my father he's the only father that i know i have no reason to to tell you this and you know if you were alive he would tell you that you know and another thing you know i know this you know people said that you know that i have said things about my dad i never said one i never hurt my dad i never spoke to law enforcement about my dad unfortunately my brother who had a tremendous drug problem you probably know with john jr he did say you know he did testify against my father i don't want to get into all of that because you know what my brother paid his dues he was a drug addict he came up very hard we had a very difficult family life and i forgave my brother i loved my brother i hadn't seen him for 14 years he just came to my birthday party i am a christian i believe in forgiveness and i forgive him my brother and i love my brother and what he did with my father you know he did and it's over what could i say my father's passed on now and he's you know my family member and i love him and i embrace him and we've talked about what he did i didn't necessarily agree with it you know that but uh it is what it is and i love him my brother is in a good place right now in his life and i'm happy for him and he's clean no more drugs he's cleaned up his act and uh he's a different person and i believe in second chances i believe that people can be reformed hey who am i to talk i spent 25 years on the street and you know you're 25 years on the street you're doing some bad things people there's no way to sugarcoat it there's no way to clean it up i was who i was i did what i did and you got to understand that i believe that you know god had a different purpose for me here i am and hopefully i've cleaned up my act i'm far from perfect but i'm trying to do the right thing you know i've been blessed with a great family and and uh a lot of opportunities i try to make the best of them and and and you know do my best that's why we created the crew that's why we created the inner circle so that people can be their best possible selves that they can be and we try to help them along me and i got a great team really great team of people that all they want to do is encourage and uh and hopefully get some good business going and that's where it's all out so i i made my uh you know those are kind of my parting words i'm gonna answer two more questions uh people are asking me about other people online i'm gonna tell you this right now i'm not gonna engage in any of that stuff you know people in the comments section are telling me all the time about things are being said look uh i don't believe in that i don't go back and forth with things like that people can say what they want to say online all i can tell you is you know do your research if you believe what somebody tells you hey and you've researched it good for you and if you don't you know there's a reason why but i'm not going to engage in any of that stuff that's not who i am it's not what i choose to do yeah you know i'm online for me and for whoever i can help and support and entertain this is entertainment also let's let's face it so that's the deal uh do i believe the mafia was more powerful than the drug cartels two more questions look in terms of money uh the drug cartels the big ones look they dealt in billions in terms of power and influence within the united states i can tell you this the mafia in this country from the 1950s to the mid 80s those were the golden years of the mob when we controlled a lot in this country we had strength right into the white house we control the unions we control some major corporations i'm not going to get into it now we control the streets there was nobody as powerful as us is it the same now no it's not i lived through the golden years of that life i can tell you so uh in the united states nobody had it better than we did nobody was more powerful than we were at that time in other areas of the world you know mexico south america drug cartels they had it all we didn't have uh as much power there okay uh last one i'm gonna end with how did you feel about the rudy giuliani sit down and this person said i enjoyed it if you haven't seen it it wasn't a one-on-one with me and rudy it was my dear friend joe pagliarulo who has a syndicated radio show he brought us together i really enjoyed it you know at one time rudy was my enemy he prosecuted me uh i went to trial for several months had i been convicted i probably wouldn't be sitting here now i would have gotten at least 50 years on a racketeering case fortunately i was acquitted i beat the case all these years later i don't see why you know there's no holding a grudge against rudy i happen to respect him he was a great mayor in the city of new york i lived there i know he did a great job i thought he was great through 9 11. i gained a lot of respect for him at that time and i'm not going to comment on the politics i don't think there's any reason to at this point but i have a respect for rudy giuliani and i did enjoy the interview it was something for me after all those years to sit down with somebody that was an enemy of mine at at some point in time and during that interview he spoke very well i think he was very truthful and he made a lot of sense and so there's no axe to grind you know he has none with me at this point i have none with him you know what do you do do you hold a grudge all your life i mean you know he didn't put me in prison i beat the case so maybe if i lost i might have felt differently i don't know but that's it so i'm going to wrap it up right now you know i thought this was great we spent uh what about an hour i think a little longer than we expected to but i do encourage you if you enjoy this uh we're not gonna be doing this all the time i can tell you because we really reserve this for the crew and the inner circle so if you want to take a look at it join.michaelfrancis.com you'll have a lot more interaction with me slices pizza if you're interested you know there's going to be some opportunities there opportunities that my inner circle will have i can't get into it here you know but uh if you get in there you'll find out what that's all about too so um listen you know how i always leave you in all my uh my youtube videos i'm gonna leave you the same way now god bless be safe be healthy and yes i'll see you next time take care
