today in this video I'm going to show you how to fix Windows couldn't connect to the printer on Windows 11 and network printer problem on Windows 11 after updating the lot of Windows are reporting that they're no longer able to connect to their network printer after installing the update on Windows 11. upon trying to print something affected users see an error prompt with the error message Windows couldn't connect to the printer fix the issue first go to start menu then search Powershell and open Powershell by double-clicking after Powershell open type get hotfix and press enter button now I will uninstall the security update via Powershell and type this text for that follow me first enter the text I'm writing here in Powershell then type the text that is next to the security update in the hotfix it as it says KB 5023706 and press the enter button and pop up the Windows update menu and click the yes button and uninstall the security update after the security update is uninstalled the computer will ask to restart click yes and restart the PC if still same problem then go to next solution restarting The Print Spooler service may help ease your headache you can restart the spooler Service First click to Windows 11 start menu and type Services Click The Print Spooler option and on the left side of the screen click restart after that restart your PC that's it try to reconnect your printer with your computer if the problem still shows then proceed to the next solution for that press Windows key plus R button and you will see the Run option will appear there right regenit after typing rejected in the Run box then click on OK thereafter the registry editor service will open then follow me what I do first click on hkey current user then click on software then click to Microsoft then search Windows NT and click on it then click on current version then right click on Windows and click permissions after that click on ADD button then click to Advanced option then click on find now option after that go to search results and find every one option and then double-click on every one option then click to OK and thereafter click in full control and click to apply then click on OK button now you restart the computer and then try to connect the printer when the PC is open if the same problem still occurs then proceed to the next solution if the problem still shows then proceed to the next solution for that press Windows key plus R button and you will see the Run option will appear there right rejet it after typing rejetted in the Run box then click on OK then search Windows NT and click on it first click to hkey local machine then click to system thereafter click to current control set then click on control and find print and click on it now in the left pane right click on the print key and select new d word 32-bit value then name the key as RPC authen level privacy enabled and double-click on it now set its value is 0 and close the editor then check if the shared printer is accessible to the client systems after that go to the network and try to connect to the shared printer you will see that the printer will connect without any problem if the issue persists then restart the print server as well as client systems in check if the printer issue is resolved next solution when Windows 1011s mistakenly searches for the mscms.dll file in different subfolders it causes the windows could not connect to printer error on your computer launch run by pressing Windows plus r at the same time type the system 32 command in the Run box to open system 32 folder and press enter find and copy the file mscms.dll from system 32 folder follow me for the folder to paste after copying the file you will be in system 32 folder and then find the spool folder then go to drivers folder thereafter go to x64 folder then go to three folder and paste your mscms.dll file if your system is 32-bit system then you will go to w32x86 folder still same problem then go to next solution if you connect a printer to your computer without administrative privileges windows will not let you install the drivers correctly if this is the case you will need to change an option in the group policy Editor to resolve the issue open the Run menu by pressing win plus r at the same time now type gpedit.msc and click OK Under Computer configuration click administrative templates and navigate printers search and double-click the limits print driver installation to administrators select disabled to save the changes click apply and then ok now you have to restart your PC these are the quick and best ways to completely fix the windows cannot connect to printer error we hope these Solutions will help you recover from this error I hope this video helped you please share it with your friends also if you have any doubts related to this let us know in the comment box below if you like the video don't forget to like share and subscribe to the channel foreign
