Wildest Burnyard EVER: Ken Block’s Hoonicorn, 1000hp AWD RX-7 Burnout, and Mayhem

we're all right you might too we're not even sure what this is a story tangents story tangent I'm ten gentle story time story time tangents I don't know we had a burn yard event first one to 2020 it was sick it's the best Bernie event we've ever had ever ever ever why was it so good Zach big crowd big energy big can block I guess the whole point of this is to go through all the good reasons but I would say the one thing that's kind of hard to capture and really explain was just the energy on sight [Applause] right so the event starts out and I was actually stoked we did it this time usually we just walk out but we rolled out in this bad boy [Music] in the seats and beat rolling burnout three across the bench like bros do kicked it off but really kind of open the show with Dan [Music] you guys been watching 6:21 golden you know the dan threw together his that's 14 and kind of like three we cook will Rogie Skaar stuffed his 2j in it got it I knowed like the night before got it to the event shredded it and my favorite part of that was that Dan was like kind of it like 7/10 and he told me he's like dude I said I told myself as I was pulling out I'm not gonna do palm line I'm not gonna be palm line oh look it's palm line his palm line rips his bumper off and he goes from 7/10 to 11 he just started driving this [ __ ] [Music] [Applause] and that was his first time driving the car in anger ever it's also news it was a shakedown the only time he driven before that was on to the dyno off the dyno onto the trailer off the trailer dan Savage like he doesn't know that car at all doesn't know the power band doesn't know the chassis just sent it anyway in front of everybody [Applause] so then we had the $5,000 burnout contest and like for whatever reason the first car to go all right Hoss Bronco [Applause] [Music] [Music] send it out there and I think every driver that was looking those like alright maybe I got a chance of five grand they saw Brian go out there and they're like if I wouldn't saw that from the stands I would just go home yeah I would hope do descends I think reverse all-wheel drive donuts I've never seen that before [Music] [Applause] I gotta say actually a lot of Ford showed up hard oh let's not forget the winner will get about a lot of stuff so just here is an ultimate montage [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] so let's talk about the winner of the king of the yard I'm gonna claim it because I scouted him he just showed up one day they just had this like cooled seat and just kind of rough around the edges like real rat rod he's a good you guys still do burnouts yeah I'm like now you can't do any of that stuff here in Long Beach anymore but we have the spot out everyone Dale called the burn yard you know we're doing this advantage you want to come out for it so he lowered his truck he's put it on Hoosiers pump the pressure up to like 60 psi put his bike in the back and went out there and was really just kind of like spinning doughnuts been some figure eights and the bike started to get loose in the back of the truck yeah I feel like every single person in the crowd like we kept it going because you're like that bike is gonna flop out of bed and that's it's gonna be amazing mm okay yeah then the tires are getting so sticky that it we've lifted up onto almost two wheels [Music] and then he just stuck it into the wall I was like cool that's the way to end it and then he got out got into the bed fired the bike favored the bike up after had been thrown around like a rag doll the tire on the blue [Music] [Music] [Music] and then got back in the truck and blew the tires on the truck [Music] [Applause] and that was crazy cuz like you'd have the best style in the yard he'd had the most powerful truck by any means but he was like the perfect showman yeah just took the cadence of the crowd and the crowd on their feet going nuts the judge were going nuts and it's the first person to ever pop three tires in a run true and also what I think about it I love is like it was the unexpected yeah like you know and that thing pulled into the yard everyone was like oh maybe it's a pee break cuz like it's yeah it just doesn't like it wasn't you weren't looking at it that's a hard thing spire that's a fire-breathing crowd let's move into the main event the main event opened with liberty revealed it's a joke on all right [Music] [Applause] [Music] you scumbag he wasn't actually supposed to rip the Kazi because it literally was leaving there getting packaged up and sent to Mexico I think he was kind of pissed at me because he was like hey can you just explain to people that like we're not allowed to like rip this thing and then I just put him in front of the crowd I was like I mean but [Music] [Applause] and then Ken became back out in the hood corn which we got a little teaser of what that was going to look like the night before [Music] a favorite quote from Ken after his practice run he's like it's sticky in here yeah and you were like how how is it having that much power in the burn yard he's like it's you're just kind of guiding it yeah you're just kind of guiding you got out you're ujaval with a Loki Loki snapped a sway bar rejection was kind of rags he was making he was getting a little 3 wheel motion on that dude if you look at the photos it looks like the things gonna fly it's funny cuz immediately after burn yard BJ I think was kind of bummed because it was super sticky in there and he really couldn't get lucky to like shred so he hit me up like and I think actually closed my histogram like what supercharger shot put on Loki I love that burn yard scumbags guys like EJ into making their awesome trucks even more awesome because he wants to come back and rip it and that's cool because I was the first time BJ was back after getting thrown at it [Applause] Darrin Parsons revealed his new truck Darrin's truck rolled at Ozzfest West and burned to the ground [Music] he's been rebuilding it like for the past year just thrashing on it and I gotta say his liver is dope like ken's liveries dope I love Ken's livery it was kind of weird that someone else came out and dropped the 90s livery that's really hard but that livery is hard I'm saying nothing else it's good it's a good love saying nothing it's a solid strong livery yeah and the thing has a crazy eight and one rotary fire exhaust baby came out and stuff that truck he smashed that taillight and there and the bedside on it and I was so bummed because like kibby's trucks are so perfect [Music] [Music] I feel a little bad because I asked Kibby I was like oh when do you want to go on are you gonna send your tires completely off are you gonna pop them or what do you just want to do a little bit and then leave he's like ah it's my daily man you know I don't want to go to nuts [Music] [Music] 13 seconds into 18 seconds into rekt blackout burn you're blocking my shot it happens it just happens to happen especially with the energy of everyone in the stands is dead it's crazy like Jay TPS Mustang was insane [Music] [Music] it sounds like he's doing a million rpm and was riding with him managed to get it into fourth gear and just like let it eat it's just like it sounds crazy [Music] after a few seconds it's like you can't see anything in the yard cuz there's so much wheel speed and he would just emerge from a cloud of smoke [Music] [Music] rat Dan came out in his Supra and he threw down for what felt like three hours of just sending it [Music] always [Music] [Applause] [Music] garage the bay boys [Music] [Music] [Applause] they also have so much style it's like something like a vanilla using video : in a 5.0 they just had this vibe to it there's probably a bunch of people were missing impressed it's really really hard to drive those cars because it's an automatic trans yep there's no handbrake it's like a 315 tire in the back or bigger even and it's a lot of power to me so like Damon went out and I was like what it like maybe maybe you'll throw it around a little scene like some people to build nuts and stuff like that but it was actually terribly sliding it around Lincoln of the event on his iPhone and you're in the photo getting the GoPros I so I Johnny was tangled up with something and I stole Johnny's pole GoPro and I was Bowl yeah it's a it's a stole Johnny's pole and that jumped over the K rail because I saw him park than we were getting covered it was the shot was covered in smoke I'm gonna go around here and as soon as I get to the other side I'm like man this is great and then it huge fireball just comes off the back of that big and it made me so happy you can see your photo zoom yes of that photo that I took into Zach's face slowly into the joy look at that man's eyes you see that and then the show ender Rob Dom and I were we did this press event with Jeep like about a year ago at that time the conversation was around ET and when this all lined up I was like you ready to do this in front of a live audience he was like oh the first time ever wait not just like this kissing car didn't have a for the transmission physics no there was one friend you can't see that so he sits here you could see the drive shaft right here and they were just like wires around it just zip ties how anticlimactic would it be if something some little thing went wrong and it almost did his car set on fire in the parking lot this was 40 seconds before keeping he brought him out was a fire and he actually handled it pretty calm at what it did yeah you just like when they're took the because the heat was on and pulled it all out it's mad respect though because we in typical hoonigan fashion we build this [ __ ] up the second we found out that Rob Dom was coming out we're like yo he's coming out here Instagram post put him on the flyer everything and he had no choice really but to do that burnout at the end but he did it willingly yeah and having enough faith in his guys and in his car to chain that thing up and fully sendin [Music] but the best part was when he got out I could swear like he almost had tears as [Applause] [Applause] he's been building like four or five years take it from someone who's been building cars for way too long like you get that feeling you know not gonna say I was teary-eyed when I drove my 161 horsepower out he for the first time but you know it was nice to see it actually drive again that was really cool but anyway a sick burn yard definitely need to take this thing on the road where would you go you know what I want to hit Texas Southern states where she can get real crazy like I want to hit the Northeast cuz I want to see what you guys are all about I'll bring all our friends out John Moe have the neutral drop boys cut oh my god yet I also want to hit the south you know I got roots in the dunk culture bring some boys out some 30s so anyway let us know where he wants to bring burn yard we want
