is the video for you anyway 9am this morning i arrived at the store expecting to maybe have an interview with a couple of people in the camera turns out a whole crew of people were here to greet me and i was quite surprised and taken aback by that the subject of the video today was how we and zeiss work together to give individuals the best vision that they can get and i really believe in that partnership that's why we choose to partner with zeiss i mean we could work with any lens company in the world but i do believe that zeiss stand at the very forefront of technology when it comes to optics and that's not just true with glasses whether it's some of the world's best binoculars like you see here or even the camera lenses which we use for most of our videos and whatever industry it's in if you want the best optics you go to zeiss and what optics are more important than our eyes and how we see and experience the world anyway who are zeiss for those who don't know zeiss are a german lens manufacturer who have been established for over 175 years it started when carl zeiss invented the modern microscope and it was such a miracle of technology that individuals all over the world from charles darwin to marie curie were using zeiss microscopes in their research and that made zeiss into a global brand who then ventured out into different strands of optics now one thing that i love about zeiss and one of the things that really makes them feel more personal to me is the fact that it's written into their company charter that all profits have to be reinvested for the betterment of humanity which i think is a great concept and with our store i've always had the same philosophy any money that we make we reinvest it back into new and innovative technologies that benefit our customers eyes every single day and that's something i'm so proud of and when customers come to us and achieve their best vision possible or order internationally from us as many of you are starting to do it's a really proud moment it's it makes my life complete really and it's it's the reason that i get up in the morning so that to me i feel like we have a real bond with zeiss we're both working to the same goal but it isn't just that we're an independent company and i will partner with whoever i think helps us to deliver the best to our customers in the past that's been hoya for example we've also worked with nikon with slo with kodak with a variety of different lens brands and all of those lens brands are excellent quality don't get me wrong but with zeiss i think they're just that little bit ahead especially in the last few years there's been a lot of innovation so let's talk about that let's get into zeiss lenses and the options available you have several different ranges of lenses within the zeiss portfolio the first one would be the zeiss precision range and to me that's the range that i use the least they are excellent quality don't get me wrong but they are kind of the the zeiss standard lenses without any embellishments i would rather choose a lens that is a bit more suited to a specific lifestyle than a generic precision lens but they are excellent quality and where i use them the most are in the sport designs so zeiss precision sport lenses offer the very best optics on the market for wrap around sunglasses things like golf things like cycling if you want the best lenses for that it's size precision but the newest range of zeiss lenses and the ones that we actually use the most are the zeiss smart life lenses that's what i have in my glasses now and these are for most people the best choice because we're all surrounded by digital devices whether it's our phones smart watches cameras tablets and tvs and computers everything that we're surrounded by smart life lenses were the first lenses that are optimized for that modern behavior to allow us to have faster refocusing better peripheral vision and spatial awareness and the most comfortable and natural vision when we're working with those digital screens so for the majority of my clients that's what i recommend because the majority of my clients that is their lifestyle we then also have drive safe technology which is fantastic and i also have a pair of those i think the idea would be to have a pair of each drive safe lenses are the best if you want the best clarity in the distance and particularly for driving at night or in bad weather they give the best peripheral vision possible purely when optimized for the distance zone as well as modifications to the lens design to help us in low light situations and that does make a difference my clearest and sharpest lenses that i have are my drive safe lenses that's not necessarily the most important thing to me the in the world bar none if you get a zeiss glass lens you are seeing the sharpest that you can see and it's really rewarding to be able to tell people that i'm a big fan of glass lenses again we covered that in a separate video if your main priority is clarity and nothing else go with a glass lens you won't regret it they're also amazing for high prescriptions if you're like a minus six to minus ten you're going to get such a thinner result from a glass lens than you will from any kind of plastic even if it's nice i hope my enthusiasm for zeiss has come through on this video and i hope i've
