seven archons the point is that the fatouius ploy to burn the old world for the sake of a new one is hardly new in the eyes of celestia and if anything actually abides by the foundational principles humanity decided to rebel against god the whole civilization was punished but truthfully it's a threat of looming danger so important to the veto in the first place there is an important quote in the them that means the game should be over but i would propose another thing death to the fertility is simply a stepping stone when you speak to fatoui npcs they tell you that they are willing to die for the cause and even the fatui harbingers are expected to when they give their life for the sake of the fatoui we see that life is an asset in the fatu harbingers are willing to abandon those that no longer pose value they are willing to experiment on human lives for the sake of technological advancement and they see those outside their cause as expendable if the goal of the fatoui is to truly burn the old world away and create a new one the question rather becomes if the goal is to eliminate all the pieces on the board rather than just the king sure some pieces will be sacrificed along the way on their end but as long as their goal of fully capturing celestia's pieces are fulfilled then their plan succeeds reset the board to the point that the fundamentals of the game no longer resemble the past reject the checkmate approach if the symbolism of their plan is a chessboard and their goal is to conquer all the pieces it's possible that the fatoui's true cool is complete conquering of the board not by killing the gods but instead by using the god's powers for the creation of this so-called new world a world without gods in a world without the abyss a world where humanity would prosper and fight against the common enemy and live the remainder of all of their days in peace or so they say this is a quote that has been repeated multiple times in the story of the fatoui to some extent and this is a quote that i have yet to personally understand it's so difficult to rationalize their goals as being for the greater good of this world when their present actions have caused unspeakable damage to the other nations so who are they doing this for if not for their own self-gratification tertalia says that asaritsa waged war for the sake of peace but in reality the fatoui harbingers have done nothing to instigate peace whatsoever in the other nations in months that they were abducting children and putting them into experiment pits they threatened monstat's political power and even assaulted its archon they have to be spies constantly and have shown little to no empathy for its citizens in liue it was the resurrection of an old god the political unrest and the questionable deeds that if what do we do behind the curtains that people like yelon have to constantly stop and in azuma it's the puppeteering of scaramouche senora and piero to unleash the remnants of an old god for the sake of research poison the people of watasumi through the delusion's distribution and manipulate the unrest of war yes some of them were horribly hurt by the world around them and their past but a person's history and upbringing will never justify the cruelties they have done to society there is just so much unnecessary conflict that the fatigue are instigating throughout the vat that this dream of peace that they advocate for simply feels so delusional but that's the point not everyone in the future fight for the sake of creating a new world some are just here for power knowledge wealth so to them to burn the old world could easily mean genocide the history of tibat has always been set in blood the future are simply a new chapter in tivat's long history [Music]
