yes yes now I understand what Einstein was saying there are only two things that are infinite the universe and human stupidity and I'm not sure about the former because I'm just so excited to talk about the real progress that flat ah--this is now making its with the nicest people the positive people and in the case of kami right here on out the hard-working people in a single moment is a filmed both lunar and solar eclipses effect I mean no in astronomy so long that ain't not seen a sunrise for years just the earth spinning really if you're lose faith in mankind just watch an hour or so of these people the beating with the moon is a hologram or a light source I'm gonna ask you a specific question though because it was someone I can remember I'm sorry to credit them account on it and if it was making its own light there wouldn't be shadows there and you can see them even with a kids telescope anyway his killer argument here is how can you have gas pressure when we all know if you open up a container to the vacuum of space the the gas shoots out of it check my globe tarts and yeah that's actually what the flat earth people call people who think that the earth is a sphere shaped you know like a globe it's called the second law of thermodynamics so unless you can demonstrate that you can have gas pressure without a container all right what does the gas we breathe press on at the top you know because it's claimed to be 10 to the minus 17 tour that's a pretty much damn near perfect vacuum if that was 10 to the minus 17 tore a space sky vacuum then the gas I'm breathing right now would want to fill that volume without the container there can be no pressure any evidence that you can have gas pressure without a container waiting for demonstration of otherwise aah hoo boy a where to start well you knew that big warm galuu ething in the sky the Sun you know what are these it's a giant ball of gas curiously enough with no container exposed to that same 10 to the minus 17 tall vacuum doesn't shoot off into space somehow odd that and how do we know it's a big ball of gas why from this spectrum of course in fact you know helium you know why it's called helium because it was first discovered from the spectral lines of the Sun helium from the Greek Helios meaning Sun and that was before it was discovered here on earth but you're also telling them about how gas pressure works calling yourself a scientist when you do maths and prevailing this idea that we live on a sphere with gas pressure in a vacuum he's even got pictures of it oh hell what about Jupiter also kind of a giant ball of gas without a container somehow happily sitting there how did you say violating the second law of thermodynamics whilst demonstrating to a guy with a vacuum no no your example actually includes a second law of thermodynamics violation even though we're essentially doing the same thing exposing it I just do it better than he does because I don't claim about gravity is I don't think even the flat earthers deny gravity you know if I get an object with mass and another object with mass they're attracted to each other and it's something you can simply measure in the lab any scientific evidence of gravity [Music] okay apparently they do deny gravity but okay fine they must at least acknowledge that if they drop things they fall towards the ground we'll call that gravity for the moment and gravity's awesome because if I drop to one of them they both fall likewise if say for instance I'm stood on the moon and they threw two objects upwards both will follow exactly the same parabola and hit the ground at exactly the same time irrespective of the mass if they're big and heavy like a hammer for instance or super light like a gas molecule both will hit the ground at exactly the same time the difference of course is the gas molecule sort of degree Melora bouncy so you get any large group objects knocking into one another in a frictionless manner like you having a gas a for instance and just so we clear what this might look like this is approximately the air you're breathing right now blown up about a billion times the blue diatomic molecules and nitrogen they make about 80% of the air you're breathing and most of the rest the remaining 21% is oxygen and the space-filling ratio here is also pretty accurate here's a lot of empty space even in the air you're breathing and don't need to deceived the the slow apparent movement of these molecules that's only the case because I've slowed down time about a billion times as well those molecules there are traveling at about the speed of sound but anyway with any statistical ensemble like this if you plot up the energy the molecules versus the number of molecules that have that energy you get something like this it's called the Boltzmann distribution it's probably one of the most important things you can understand in science so there's a small number of molecules that are traveling very fast and some of them are traveling very slow and this is sort of average speed so if I let all these molecules out onto say for instance the moon they go up into the sky of course they gain potential energy and they lose kinetic energy so the small number of molecules that had the most energy have the potential for going the highest and likewise the lower the energy the molecules have the less height that they can potentially go to and the natural extrapolation of this of course is that if the molecules actually have escape velocity then they just keep going up now in reality of course there's quite a lot of these gas molecules and they bump into each other quite a lot in the intense kind of the very definition of gas pressure is it's the number of collisions per unit area but the bottom line is if those gas molecules don't have escape velocity your atmosphere ain't going nowhere which is quite a good thing if you need that atmosphere to live so look that like this yeah it's actually pretty easy to get an atmospheric pressure without a container and if you go through the numbers you'll find the skete paucity of the earth is about 11 kilometers per second and the average speed for the gas molecules here on earth is about 1/3 of a kilometer per second now all the details are losing gas molecules to Spacey's a little more complicated than this you know if you're getting high-energy particles from the Sun bombarding the atmosphere or something like that then those can give molecules escape velocity but as a general model this isn't too bad put it in a more concise Spray what we're defining is the fact that in the heliocentric model the spinning ball earth religion as you phrase it you've got a pressurized system we all observe gas pressure we are balls are actually gas molecules and boom you have a little as' container holding a finite pressure of gas so yeah knowing a little more than if you drop an object then it will fall and that gas molecules are objects you can understand why things like that son which are basically giant balls of gas even though they don't have a container they don't evaporate into space and the same news with Jupiter and Saturn or hell for that matter any planet with an atmosphere now our flat earther here seems remarkably offended that I get praised for debunking crap while he gets criticized for spouting
