good morning shelby here with mccullough tree service today i want to talk about neighbors trees and who is responsible so you got a tree that belongs to your neighbor but it hangs over onto your side maybe it drops acorns on your roof maybe squirrels jump onto your roof and get in the attic whatever the situation may be you just want your neighbor to take care of it well unfortunately in the state of florida the way the law is written it's very clear that even though the tree belongs to your neighbor it is the responsibility of the homeowner whose side the tree grows over to maintain that portion of the tree so for instance here we have a property line and a fence here we have a neighbor's tree but here we have a portion of the tree that grows over this side of the property line so that portion of the tree that grows over this side of the property line is actually the responsibility of this property owner even though the tree belongs to the neighbor hopefully this is helpful information to someone you know if it is pass it on if you need any services related to this subject please feel free to give us a call 407 734
