let's go we're recording yes okay I'm gonna do a few cards today I'm gonna try to tag you along with them just follow along pay attention to what I'm doing if I'm not talking look closely to what I'm doing okay you see any mistakes learn from them okay don't bash me for them you can bash before them I guess too but anyways let's go front end brand new bumper brand new fender and we're going to be blending the adjacent panels so you're gonna mix some sealer you want to try to talk slower so you guys could understand me because I don't have a fancy mic and that's the way I like it so we're using similar ECS 61 they've come out with a new sealer but I don't have it yet I'm not sure why but I don't have it yet okay normal reducer standard reducer I mean hardener partner not reducer 391 sorry I always like to over reduce it a little bit so it would so lays down smoother and then so I'm gonna do that and then the cool thing about this machine I have here is that I can get another color being mixed here mix Q there I've set it up yesterday prime main layer here we go boom so I'll do that we're recording yes okay perfect so I'll do that so Wow well I'm ceiling cool thing is that I can mix this color Wow I am ceiling so that's pretty cool [Music] whoa I don't know what kind of reducer I have done there but this seems really nice has too many options in the reducer list anyways you're sure we're recording here we got this little post that yeah last time I painted yeah don't you love it when you get points after you've painted the car okay I'm gonna check it for recording I'm gonna check how it looks I already checked there but just wanna double check because if you've seen any of my videos I tend to screw up the video a lot so let's see if this is working putting so that's good well let's see all right good so it looks like we're recording the government approach that gun this thing's great it's a lot smaller than the orange one it's easier to handle I love it the here's where you charge it a lot easier just to plug it in I've attached the magnet at the bottom of it so then I could just do that maybe that's something the pro circuit including their next gun but this gun is amazing I love it now you said mostly flares are plastic country I've already washed this with water and put adhesion promoter on it so you always got to let that he shrimp from water dry at least five to ten minutes okay so what I do is clean with water and I'll clean with degreaser I'll show you guys what the grease are I'm using now we've changed it it's probably the same one just different label it's from finished master got to make sure that and you think you're done cleaning you clean again because last thing you want is screw-ups okay so now what I'll do is so I'll blow it with my motivated painters will welcome dollar and I'll attack it with the same right motus always go to one direction try to always go to one direction because that way you'll push everything in one direction not much do this you just pretend you're painting it but with the air so what this does is a gets rid of any static that the panels might have that's what this gun does so somebody comments and asking me what that gun does please refer them to this minute of the video because I get that a lot using a high water ws 400 evil 1.3 which by the way needs a serious cleaning because it's not spraying very nice [Music] yeah how is that nice in this video yes I just fit now [Music] [Music] Yeah right [Music] it's good for that we're gonna we'll get that paint so you got blend blend blend and then blending the other fender as well so it shouldn't be too hard to do this we got a repair right there I'm gonna try to keep it really small Stern bit too crazy let's go get that paint all right you recording I can't tell yeah okay got a little blend here just to make sure that we're not gonna run into problems there remember when you're painting something the best way to paint something is to get it in and to get it out okay you don't want to be fooling around with you know spending five hours trying to take the color or something like that I mean there's a lot of guys that think it's a waste of time to blend but to me well I'm I'm sure not everybody's in the same position but we make sure we show the insurance companies all Sproul carts that show that for example for this color white peril it's almost impossible to get a perfect match okay when I mean perfect I mean perfect you cannot get it so you might think it's perfect but in different lights and in different angles you will see a difference but when you blend then you're able to achieve a near perfect match right because you're putting the same color on everything so that's why we like to blend around here and and also because I'm not that good of a painter so I I get lucky when I get to blend because I suck at tinted colors but I love painting obviously painting colors is a most that you need to do and you have to do it but you gotta also remember in a production shop the customer wants his car back and they wanted back yesterday right so how do we do that if we blend that colors good everything matches and there won't be any issues with the color so the car can come in get painted and get it out right and everybody's happy so and then you know and we have a happy customer and happy customers is what we want takes a while for insurance companies to realize that apparently but it's the way it is that's another thing I like about this blowers like they're relatively safe unless you put it in your eyeball but you know it spreads out the air does it shoot it through one hole shoots it to a bunch of holes but it's about safety than other glowing always bring your papers I could show you guys and girls yeah let's turn 40 while I either purple I can feel now what I'll do is I'll go over with the static gun and as you can see this is all I need it I don't really use the tack off that much only if I the only time I'll use the tack off nowadays if I need to attack after I have sanded the base and wipe it with the tack cloth mangling the gun that way I kind of want to throw everything [Music] away from the tunnels and I'll show you these things just cuz they've been working for me so hopefully they'll be useful to someone because I don't like to make videos that are useless so we're going to use I'm using my Fuji spray MP v8 this gun was just released not too long ago it's been really good I I recommend this gun because of the price the price is not expensive I mean relatively speaking to other spray guns [Music] relatively speaking trailer spring constants is that affordable gun and you can see it on my website so I'm gonna scrap 22 psi that's another thing about this that I like about this gun you can spring out a lighter fresh pressure so as you can see I spray it down here but I just felt it the gun a little bit this way to get that fading effect there that we need you want to try to keep the rear this wall here and cover those strips same here the spring here so the fan will get it there just a little trick of the trade I forgot to fineline that after fine and for this only gonna take to two coats you suffer usually that's if I mix it up face I don't think I did just because I screwed up the mixing but I think there was only like six ounces of painting the turkey bunker [Music] looks like I will need your pain after all you're right off and then you come back for more I'm gonna mix a little bit more paint sticks quite yellow I don't like it see what I we can do see if we can find something else you should be that color it's not that bad so we can do here yes I've been trying out can feel the softness got this new scanner from PPG that comes with the the the new paint manager and I've been I've been having a lot of fun with this because it works really well [Music] looks good you want to try to line them all up like that and it's kind of annoying you got to do it five times so it takes a while [Music] but I've been using this scanner for a while now and I really like it I haven't been trained on it or anything like that so but it's pretty simple to use but when it comes to looking at the different things I don't know what it is for night so so we go into paint manager X I and then we go so we go this is the main screen right let's see dashboard we go to rapid match and then there's our reading there and what I like to do is because I like to search everything not just Toyota Oh hit search and then I'll say yes to this tell me that there's no color code and I said yep and what it is it's gonna give me it's gonna search all the pink oh it's gonna search what matches what it's gained the best so here it is this is what it say saying dy so I guess it's darker yellow which makes no sense to me actually this is lighter so what we're gonna do is we're gonna mix this one what makes this one on my computer according looks like a okay well battery really kills here on a gopro when you're doing a 4k video but we'll see what happens anyways so we're gonna mix this one and then we'll what I shared it on the first time and this is what you all should do this is why I make this videos cuz I want you to learn from my mistakes and you know I've been doing this for 13 year 14 years and I still make stupid mistakes so you're never you never know it all and you always will continue to make mistakes that is a fact [Music] okay we're going to mix eight ounces of this because I can already like pack you tell that that was not gonna work because it was just too yellow so when you you have to keep in mind that you need to use your senses as well we're gonna mix this by hand so we can do it quicker but you got a you're gonna use your senses I mean you have to use your common sense if the color is not looking good as you're spraying it that the color most likely will not look good and for try coats a little advice for everyone is that if the base coat if the ground coat doesn't look hope you guys could hear me but if the ground code doesn't look almost perfect when you're spraying it then you know you might have issues with the color you want the ground code to be as close as possible to the color and that way you you you make sure that when you put your peril it's gonna look really nice nice nice nice nice nice so let's hope that this one will be a lot better I gotta make sure to remember to finish by lining that panel there I can clean off that water spray overspray off so really easily so I'm not concerned about that but this is great I'm glad that you get to see this because this is this is what happens a lot of times on the daily so I'm using the X X 103 a little bit of that been having really good results with it base coat dries faster and and just works better and then I put the T 494 I haven't used the T 493 in a while because it was just like screwing up every paint job and I was just very upset about that so I've been using this no problems I've talked to people I've been using it for years and have no problems but don't do what I say I'm not a PPG rep so do not do that so what we're gonna do is see that it already looks lighter which is a good thing we need it to look lighter we're gonna get this puppy in here give it a little swirl if the spray or card which is what it should have done the first time but we caught it that's what I've learned okay from experience that's don't don't wait till it's too late to fix things fix them right away so now we only got one code on these parts so that's great so now we can actually just dump it on so yeah you can see you can see it's way too yellow I could see that right away so what we're gonna do is we're gonna put put some paint on here to get it going okay just to get that going we're gonna see we have some tape around here this will do this car has been fixed somewhere else so it looks like this Mont this moulding was like glued on here so it kind of sucks when you're working on another car that another shop has done you know you're dealing with somebody else's mess and that that gets frustrating because we do that a lot around here we fix a lot of body shops like screw-ups so that gets very very frustrating so let's see ooh much better okay these already let's see I wanted to make it spray this a little finer when I do to 24 right much better you can see the difference already I love it so here we're gonna take it up to here with the Pearl there we go now we're talking do I that's why I trust that that standards I know it does a great job that's it you want to bring it a little bit farther here that's to make sure I cover the overspray from the first base that's great all right awesome this covers this putting it on even not soaked but free having right [Music] [Music] I shoulda just scanned it in the first place what it takes me sometimes [Music] so now now I know I got good coverage on that what I'll do next so I'll do a transition coat even though it looks really good it's trying still but it looks great what I'll do is I'll do a transition coat [Music] I'm gonna drive this real quickly not a good practice to dry with the gun all right but this gun works amazing I love this gun okay so what's gonna happen now is I'm gonna make because I'm gonna need quite a bit of the the mid coat which is the pearl coat okay so I'm gonna mix for one of these where is it we're gonna go to mix queue and then here's the tinted clear the lighter the lighter one so you got to use your common sense right even if this the scanner was telling me that there was another one that was darker yellow err but the Prime was already darker and yellower so common sense means you know you choose the one that you think is gonna be the best one and it so happened that it is this one so that's great we're going to say because we're gonna do a transition code we're gonna need a little bit more so we're gonna mix 18 ounces and then we're gonna make this in the swing and little advice for you yes I use half in half a proximally okay we're still recording here I hope so yeah so I understand this is gonna be a little longer video but hopefully you get some value out of it you know that's hopefully that's fine it's my hope that you get some value out of the video since day one that's been my hope that's why you don't see me doing no clickbait videos or anything like that cuz you know yeah I'm gonna sacrifice on on viewers and subscribe subscribers but at least I can go to sleep at night knowing that I'm doing what I can to help painters out in the world because that was my mission that is my mission to help every single thing around in the world that I can so hopefully I've done that I mean you can see my previous videos there's a white pearl playlist there's a matte finish playlist there's a silver splay list there's a random playlist there's like a quick hacks and tips playlist bunch of videos have been over 200 and some videos that might be useful for you guys and girls and you know I'm talking a lot so I'll just mix this you can watch or safar's forward a couple minutes but I'm not gonna shut it off because I am a lot of people just want to see how I do things so you know here here it is it's nothing fancy nothing nothing crazy incredible but this is how I do it there's a lot of components to this med code you know what you need to know about me is that I don't have it all figured out as you can clearly see and my jobs are not perfect I don't think there will ever be perfect but I hope that you know when you watch this channel you get something real you get something that you can relate to and one way or another as a person of faith since I was a I mean you know since I was a little kid I wanted to help people and I could never figure it out how and you know as a painter I found myself stuck like oh man like I'm just painting cars I'm not helping anyone and you know fears later Here I am now I'm helping people all over the world with painting cars and stuff so that's kind of cool that you know in a way God has brought me to this place and now I'm talking to you guys so you guys are listening to being yes and I get to help you in one way or another which is amazing and I love that I love that because it gives me a lot of purpose in life to be able to help people I've always loved it I'm not the most social guy but you know I've found a way to communicate to people by making this videos and hopefully being able to help one of you or two of you that are watching this video which makes me super happy [Music] [Music] oh right so what I'm gonna do with this I'm gonna give it a little [Music] twirling around to mix it up a little bit and then I'm gonna dump some of this in here probably not so this is the mid coat and this is the ground coat depending of how much is in there it's going to tell me how much you put it I can't tell you exact ratio you know I'm sorry but I just put a lot more of this than that because what you want is you want what I said what it's called you want a transition right so you want this color to fade in this color to come up so there isn't much in there so I don't know if you can see that but there isn't much in there maybe about let's see if I had to guess what are the ounces here the ounces there's maybe three hours and a half three ounces and a half so what I'm gonna do with this I'm gonna go I'm gonna double it and I'm gonna go to ten ounces so doubling it would be seven ounces so this is more than double alright so what you want to do is probably do you could even do two to one right two parts this one part this but what you want is you want to make this transparent and I'm gonna cook the whole job with this gotta make sure it's dry though I'll be back [Music] you got another job here on the other booth so that white pearl Toyota is in that booth while that dries I'm not gonna rush it that's one thing a lot of painters make a mistake about doing what I don't even know how I'm talking right now that's a lot of mistakes that painters do okay they rush and these are all where I got to put base prepper and painter Lorenzo he well out of the preppers here they they helped me out a lot by doing that for me they you know tell me where the the breakthroughs are that way I know where to put base now I had some port 75 left over hopefully I'll have enough if not on its warned it's not a big deal so I'm washing with fry wash so I'm washing with brine wash here gotta make sure you go over a couple times just to be safe I hope you guys can hear me or else this is gonna be a confusing video well I'll just have to do a voice over somehow which I don't mind so this is a really long car so I've moved it forward we moved it forward so when we're done painting it I'll just back it up and then slide it into the baked we've got a back bumper you know Ruth balding and the back piece molding this is one giant bumper my goodness so we got there and avoid the corner screen getting all mixed up you know I don't know if many of you guys experienced this but the first time you painted there was this bliss about it it was like relaxing and it's happened to me try not to hit the car it's happened to me that you kind of lose that bliss and I have to be very intentional about reminding myself of that especially as a production painter you gotta you kind of get cut up into you know the next car the next car the next car the next car and you forget that you you used to enjoy this I don't know if I'm talking to anybody out there but you know that's happened to me before where I kind of forget that I used to enjoy this right so I'm very intentional about for example when I'm when I'm cleaning the car I'm trying not to rush it I'm forcing myself to slow down I'm forcing myself to think about what I'm doing and you know because cleaning this car and then also like painting this car it's actually like it's pretty like meditative you know it took you know it's just you're doing an action and as you're paying attention you know you can think about things so I use this time a lot now guys I love painting and one of the aspects that I love painting is like it's I mean some of you guys don't feel like it for sure but for me it's relaxing it's it's just like I don't know how to explain it they just like and wants you to do it for so long you kind of you're kind of like just do it you don't even think about what you're doing but anyways I just want to encourage you guys to remember that time where you loved painting and go back to that constantly okay now we're gonna blow the crap out of this car don't you think you're don't blow it blow it again I'm talking with my microfiber cloth all it's all about a foot or keeping from what your things if you wanted to come up please want to cut down to that color shine [Music] I'm gonna get this static gun just so I can go over everything all right it's kind of silly to scream [Music] he's excited its brain but I mean if this thing units me make sense you can contact this company process he has like a I think they have like a lending program where they let you rent the gun and you can get it replaced whenever or something like that but just message them to see what's up there good good good a bunch of people to talk to they're great okay this is a 1.2 HTE base and from welcome what about a painter's edition off course so I'm going to put some base on the primer spots on the breakthrough spot first to get coverage and then I'll go ahead and put base on everything that's a sneaky spot that's a sneaky sneaky spot right should be a fun one Oh Spray so nice here angling my gun this way okay I'm sure you get that edge like that you want to do my little see there's burn through there so what I'm going to do is I blow over to that pressure like 4 psi and I'm going to spray right here and when I let the overspray but I've found anyways so never anyone please you work so well and then when you fear over that you will never see it which is amazing that's a little tip trick for y'all you have to go up exactly and everything and then we got to go great so now let's this Dreyse I'll be able to go and put the transition coat on the other car and this is what I do all day I jumped from one boots to the other to make sure you get colors make stuff a lot of funny I love it and you know what they say that time flies when you're having fun and then I get to see my beautiful white which is what I look forward to every day nice she loves frames like heart if I ask a draw alright hey maybe I won't need more face maybe I will we're gonna raise the temperature in there so when I come back to it you'll be ready to go so put insertion code over there I'm going to show you something I'm gonna show you something that's gonna be valuable to you guys and girls I'm sorry I always say guys okay it's just to have it please don't dump crucifying before it a little bit of water base cleaner here like these right give it a water-based cleaner you don't want it to be too wet you're gonna get your blower look at that that looks gorgeous oh my goodness I don't even think I need it after station coat but you know I just goes to show that hey use the tools available to you whatever you got there's a favor I go over what I did the death little this is what I will send you back to my previous video of the white polka like this okay this is what I showed you the bank needs to be driving okay going Kazuya she's right baby what in a way by doing this we start these are tres tres tres because you're starting them off more overspray or anything so you can see the lightness of it here now that we got rid of all that we can go ahead and put on the transition coat [Music] shoutout to the tape thing if you don't have one of these get one they're amazing they're magnetic so this door is metal this will stick to it if it's not I'll look like an idiot but it is collision edge.com awesome family-owned company all right so what we'll do now is we'll leave out the same you got twenty three point five twenty four psi not picky this is all gonna new this is all new we'll just be ready go little folder okay don't be scared to put this one away all right because this is very transparent because it's very transparent she's a broom nice nice nice nice nice and what okay you're dangling on my gun though please signal take note of the ending of my gun like that showed you guys since day one angling of your gun is so important all right so now we got that transition coat that's mostly mid coat the landing that out now that's going to take couple of control coats of the mid coat maybe who knows but we'll see gonna have to sand a cup of coffee [Music] what can you say you can give that a very very light sense and then put position pulled over because position coat damnit sure TJ is a right touch down there the things that sure that you doing on the car you gotta do it on the good part okay that's very dirty that's the way that I keep everything consistent that's why when I didn't stop of the car they look the same as ask the vehicle because I'm looking at the texture and the way that is spreading out so that's not very hopeful so we're gonna let this wash off most ahead of me this this blue line it's so beautiful it's nice but it collects so much dirty it's ridiculous I got to change it well let that flash off I'm gonna take this not gonna take this because I need okay put the heat up in here put the heat down in this one uh conspiracy social 88 Fahrenheit this over here let's see let's see if I have enough here near them okay so in sewage and we still put mixing mixing work will be right back all right what do we got here okay here we go from here okay mix it up a little more pink control code gonna be 19 psi is this a little bit more far away you don't want it to go blue look I got sandy in that for free PG anyway well CCG use up the pressures from whatever you're spraying up to 1918 [Applause] you want to arrange all those Natale to standing up uniformly all in the same way to achieve the right metallic look about the other hand obviously with with the college black it's not like super super super it is super important but not as important as we would be on a silver forget your address Gabriel right so this is ready for clear while the white pearl still drying that's why white girls take a long time you get this little toilet cut for dry application Kovacs I think they're all by SIA I'm not too sure anyways I like these for standing funny to do a little bit of water based standing or something like that bring these little blocks and they have they have a glue on the other side so you can just hold it like that there you good to go so I take a couple leaves to send out those tips and I think you couldn't see them okay so they are what they do and they're great take me digital regulator I got in on their website you get it we get different tips and then you can just exchange them so you don't need to buy multiple regulators and digital display this digital gauges you just buy one digital gauge with a regulator which is 150 bucks and they just buy a bunch of these because they're only 50 bucks so that's another useful thing that well this is making me nervous another useful thing that I wanted to show you guys so we're gonna do here we're gonna just go over the little spots just very lightly just to knock them down nothing crazy just to knock them down it's a stubborn one we want to sign this with something fine so this is 1,500 because you don't want to create too much craziness here or else you won't be able to cover it so what you want to try to do is keep it small keep it low-key okay that'll do it now here's where I use this right just to grab it and to pull it away from the pen I'm going to apply the transition coat which has some brown and some some mid coats it we will freeze right now this will dry quickly well that dries the thing over here we can see we bring their missiles because it's blended out so there isn't the hardest one so that's the whole point of blending is to blend out the color right look at you can't even see yeah you can't even see the transition because of the transition so that that's what I like so I'm using my HD eBay's 1.3 for the try coat I've noticed that this gun does like amazing when it comes to try coats because it sprays so even one heavy coat and then probably I can track over you're still recording it's gonna be a nice video then you angle the dunder red sugar in there too far up and then we're gonna come right through yesterday follow about us because when you because way [Music] consistently and nicely love it okay there we go so we're looking at I'm looking at the the not looking at the gun I'm looking at the one that the gun is doing so I wanna make sure that they see the same reflection my eyes that's what I could be into do I want to do the same thing that I did and the card seller and that way we want to be sure that it's all gonna match stall gonna look good I can move on to the next job I got paid flat rate I'm good take care our so nice to something up if I if I have to if I have to redo something it comes it comes out of my pocket so why would I want to do that one and never paint it again [Music] you need this say here anymore I'm going to take that so this is a cool thing about those gauges right so this and this 150 bucks obviously doesn't come with this but that's 150 bucks and then this alone is 50 bucks so what you do is you get one combo for 150 and then you get a couple of these because then you can still use the same one so then you have one gun there you take it off you put it in the other one right so it works really well and I have them on the website as well for you guys to make it easy all right well right here we go glamour time we're recording here we are okay so I'm using easy DC 530 with 15% extra reducer 31 psi 31 32 psi on a welcome HC clear one point who was better with his host [Music] you know 90% over when I'm bringing your first home pretty well although Tyler wanted to look my handle the gun in there lots of little subtle things but I do because sometimes we got the edges no Sesame we really got to change my face so I mixed 30 ounces for this should be enough to do the job so while that flashes put a timer for 10 minutes that's what I do with AC 5:30 turn minute flash and you will have any issues like I said only gonna need our control click now and then taking a long time but okay just pain at once because his cell will amount to less time less material and all that stuff so just lower the pressure a little bit and gonna be a consultant nothing crazy okay I'm gonna do the fender first just in case I run out the bumper it's not a big deal because bumpers one or not [Music] much all right that's it man gorgeous love it we let that flash we'll come back for clear all right good thing about EC 530 is that you can wait longer than kind of minutes if you want what you don't want to do is you wait less than 10 minutes still you I advise for you there 31.5 32 31 30 whatever works for you all related to some overlap nice and easy looks like I'm gonna need more more clear and what you want to do also what you want to do when it comes to clearing ICI 5:30 I want to mix it a lot because we're going to need it for the white pearl drop it anyways so when it comes to NC 5:30 you want to bake it right away I don't I don't give it a flash so if you're able to bake it right away do that and I bake it at 160 for 30 minutes so that's that's what I do it's been working really well for me the the gloss retention is beautiful and little solving pop but none of that which is always a good thing so try that at least ten minute flash symmetry encodes extra 15 and 15 percent producer then put on two heavy coats right and then break right away [Music] it's been having great results like that great results are great news all right okay Gabriel right beautiful looks great and slide this into baked put the other power in right looking good same thing everyone been doing 5:30 I want to put on so three months I wanted to look like maybe applying a little [Music] the non-religious are blowing we really want to put a bunch of eight on some love it the only one to plan comes together [Music] [Music] [Music] right Oh sue not the flash off we'll come back for another one okay so I can cut put that away I'll tell the cool thing about this regulator put it in your pocket we even recording yes we are baby let's do this the advice will display one side angle your head in a way that you can see the [Music] reflection of the light on the trailer [Music] so you can see what the heck you're doing when it comes to spraying awake a white card because sometimes they're very difficult to see [Music] I'm doing like a 90% over lot further pleasure you'll miss another video of how I set up this
