Where to Find Hideout, Quest and Crafting Items - Escape From Tarkov

[Music] hey everyone welcome to the channel for another escape from tarkov video this time taking a look at some of the best locations in my experience for farming items that you need for quests hideout upgrades and crafting with a fresh wipe pretty much everyone in tarkov is scrambling for all the items needed to complete various quests upgrade all the hideout modules and start crafting some valuable items a lot of these items are quite expensive to buy or need to be found and raid for the quests and looting at least some of these items will save you a lot of money in the long run of course you can also farm these to sell them on the market because some of them are quite profitable and if you're quick to the market with them you can make decent bank on hideout items and items that people use for crafting in this video i'm going to quickly go over the main maps that i use for farming hideout and quest items and talk about what you can find there and where you should be looking i won't go into excruciating detail on each location because i want this to be more of a quick overview but i'll talk about where you should look and what you might find in each location so with that intro out of the way let's start off with a look at the newly reworked woods map which is finally a map worth playing just for the loot before the 12.9 patch woods was not a loot friendly map except for the hidden stashes pvp loot and stermin but even so you were better off farming anywhere else if you just wanted to make money or find hideout items post 12.9 though woods has gotten a major buff to the loot on the map and the new points of interest are actually packed with supply crates and loose spawns of hideout medical and questing items for you to grab that require no keys i haven't finished fully exploring the new area yet but i can say with certainty a few spots have been a gold mine for me when it comes to useful items first up is the new emercom camp located in the southeast according to the wiki map which is conveniently near a few spawns and the ruaf and un roadblock extractions this camp is pretty large and it's absolutely packed with medical loot supply crates for hideout upgrades and loose spawns of food items that you need for quests like emelia and tushanka which can be quite hard to find for jaeger and therapist quests up to the north east of this camp is the new village which contains three compounds that have a ton of tool boxes and loose spawns of industrial loot like hoses motors bolts and screws and all of the buildings this place is pretty quick to loot but it can often have a lot of items so it's worth checking out to the south of this village you can also find the old sawmill location which has a number of supply crates and a small server rack as well which can get nice hideout or electronics loot the last place that i've had luck with on woods is off on the northwest side of the map the usek atv camps off in the forest you need to come here for a proper quest and this spot also has a number of wooden supply crates which can be looted for hideout upgrades crafting items and quest loot like cigarettes and tushanka or other food items next up i figured i'd go over the other reworked map customs which like woods was once not really a loot map but is now packed with supply crates and loose spawns for valuable hideout items the expansions to the map added three spots in particular that you should check out for hideout and quest loot in the supply crates starting with the large fortress building in the new area past the warehouses in the construction site this large building has several supply crates which contain medical and industrial loot plus a bunch of loose spawns in the individual rooms that are worth checking out just to the north of this building is another half-constructed building with a raised platform which also contains a couple supply crates and a few loose spawns for medical items and food which you might need for jaeger or therapist the last spot that i like to search for hideout items is the crackden or meth lab which is the two-story complex just to the west of the fortress building this doesn't require any keys and you can find tons of medical loot in the rooms here plus a chance for intelligence folders in the library inside this building which you'll need for the hideout and for a quest reserve was added alongside the hideout so it makes sense that this is one of the best places to go for hideout items and you can find a lot of quest stuff here as well like computer components for the farming quest cigarettes for a mechanic and flash drives for skier pretty much every building in reserve has several locked doors and all of the larger buildings are worth looting for different reasons i have a few full loot run guides on reserve that you can look out for more details but for this section i just want to mainly go over the huge number of wooden supply crates you can search for hideout and quest items first up the main concentration of these crates are in the supply bunker underneath the train station which can be accessed through the bunker doors or stairs on either side these require the rb psp one and two keys as well as the rb ps 81 and 82 keys to open them all but even if you just buy the two cheaper keys of the four for this spot it's well worth the effort if you need hideout crafting items or things like cigarettes fuel conditioner or tushanka for quests the k buildings above the bunker near the train station are also full of a few supply crates and loose spawns of gas and hideout loot as well so you can check that in the same area as well next up in the new underground area which can be accessed through any of the large buildings in the helicopter courtyard it's also full of these wooden supply crates which require no keys to access and provide the same amount of hideout loot for you to take there's also some toolboxes down here and a few other spawns in the classrooms so make sure to check them all out the old tunnels which connect to this new bunker are also a gold mine of hideout items a lot of the time with several loose spawns many toolboxes and a safe and filing cabinets which can hold some quest items like flash drives and gas analyzers like i said earlier reserve is absolutely packed with loot pretty much everywhere but i just wanted to point out the supply crates for quick and easy access to hideout and crafting loot if you want a more detailed breakdown of all the locked rooms that i think are worth opening i'll link my loot run guides in the description the mall on interchange is another one of the most densely packed loot spots in all of tarkov and it should come as no surprise that it's one of the best places to search for hideout items and many questing items like gas analyzers computer parts food like tashanka and mres and many other things the three biggest areas to check for hideout components in particular are the main superstores in the map starting with oli which is the best place on the map to check for rare industrial components like hoses car batteries light bulbs fuel filters bolts keck tape and so much other stuff all of these items spawn on or around the shelving units in the store and it's quite dark so check carefully and maybe bring a flashlight or it's pretty easy to miss some of these things this store can be pretty dangerous when everyone else is farming their hoses and stuff too but a good run here can be really amazing for your hideout upgrades or get you a lot of stuff to sell on the market next up we have the goshen store in the center of the mall this isn't as packed with loot as oli but it's probably the best place in the game to farm tashanka cans on the shelves inside the store which is worth mentioning because you need a lot of them for therapists you can also find a lot of screws bolts metal cutting scissors dry fuel and other tools in the back loading area on the shelves or inside tool boxes all over the place lastly for the super stores in this map we have idea which doesn't have much loot in the store itself but if you check the offices and the storage area in the back you can often find tons of electronics components which are needed for quests hideout upgrades and often sell for a lot of money on the flea market on this same train of thought the tech stores in interchange are also gold mines for a lot of this kind of loot there are several stores like this throughout the mall and they're all worth looting first we have tech light up on the top floor then the techno store right underneath of that if you head down the hall from here the rasmussen store is on the right hand side and is also filled with tech loot from here you can cross the main center hallway and find two more tech stores mantis on the left and the german store on the right hand side both of which also spawn electronics for you to grab interchange is a great one-stop shop for tons of hideout and questing items so be sure to explore and keep your eyes peeled while you're here another thing worth mentioning on interchange is that all of the offices in the back hallways between the stores are packed with computers that you might want to search for flash drives and parts for the mechanics farming quest finally the last map that i think is worth mentioning for the video is shoreline which doesn't have as much hideout specific loot as some of the others but it does have a lot of medical spawns and tons of computers and safes which can be helpful for finding flash drives one of my favorite places to check for flash drives and computer parts and some hideout loot is the admin building near the resort this is the central building between the two main wings this single building has something like 10 computers to check for flash drives and computer parts plus loose spawns for hideout loot in the back offices there's tons of locked rooms inside the resort that can spawn electronics and hideout loot as well but a lot of these are better used for farming straight up cash so i'll link my guide to the shoreline locked rooms down in the description if you want to check that out next the village on the far west side of the map near the tunnel extraction has a lot of toolbox spawns plus loose spawns for hideout loot inside many of the houses and on wood piles and garages in their yards this area might not be the most lucrative but it's often pretty quiet so you can loot in peace and take your time lastly for this section there's a ton of safes and computers spread across the map that are pretty easy to access and can be a great place to look for flash drives and computer parts first the cottages near the village both hold two safes and some computers in them but you'll need the cottage key and cottage safe key to get into one of them the pier has another two safes and two computers as well as filing cabinets to search for flash drives and i find this building well worth a check if you're looking for the drives the weather station or radar tower also has one safe and one computer plus several filing cabinets which can also spawn flash drives it takes a bit of running to hit all these spots but shoreline is my favorite place to search for flash drives which i know many players find pretty annoying to track down well that about covers it for this quick guide on some of my favorite spots to look for hideout quest and crafting items in tarkov i'm sure there's some spots that i missed and
