When Singers Can't Sing Their Own Songs...

yeah dodge totally whatup welcome back to another daily video you very fine specimen looking fine today we're gonna be looking at vocally epics compilation 5 unrealistically hard vocals that are not made for the singers I'm interested in this it's something that's very important in songwriting to be writing forward the singers so when it does not pan out when you write a song and then you give it to an artist who can really sing it properly it can get pretty funny pretty interesting make sure to watch this video till the end so you don't miss some hilarious dodges and misses from very famous singers it's always fun to see makes us talentless people feel a little bit better inside let's have a look [Music] [Music] man that's heavy that's a lot of high belting and like she had a lot of tone there as well really fat soul notes up there I haven't really heard her sing that way super much let's have a listen to the live version [Applause] wait okay so she lip-synched it I didn't I mean if they say in the compilation that the lip-sync I guess it's true how do we know that that was lip-sync though come on I would understand if you lip-sync that I'm not a proponent of writing songs are too hard for the singer to sing but that's like so mentally difficult belting to do I could see that really straining a few nights into tour or even the first night on tour if you're not used to the song sounds so good though I love it okay another live version of the same song I thought it sounded fine with the full set of notes I get that they wanted that like total boy thing for the studio version but a difficult call but yeah definitely not made for her to be able to do that live on a continuous basis to sound like sounds really difficult for her she sounded pretty broken there for a sec I mean that would have sounded cool if it was a rock singer that tried to do it but it sounds like she's trying to do a clean notes and it just turns into a distorted thing she didn't sound like that but that's sick her whistle registry though these vocal channels - through these compilations always very much like oh yeah that's exactly this this is exactly what's happening how do they know though and they're always desire oh this just no right here let's keep watching [Music] [Applause] that sounds like a studio note again is this it's easy to fall in love with those things I've done that a few times as well just like when you're like oh yeah I could never like get this done if I didn't have X amount of takes on me to really nail it in the studio and you're like but it sounds so good in the recording I love it too much and then you might keep it but it kind of sounds like that if she's not in tip-top shape or like if she doesn't come into it perfectly it seems like them II can't really hit this super well Dam is an amazing singer though is it's crazy but I think she can go higher than that but it's just like on like one of those bridges where you like it's difficult yeah not just totally and I can understand why it still sounds good but it's not as cool as in the studio version we do end up in those problematic places a lot you know in modern times when you can do a lot of takes and stuff but to be fair even like Freddie Mercury's that they did so many takes how long did they spend in the studio for the Bohemian Rhapsody album against the de spent a month writing and then they had a three week writing and rehearsing session so they rehearsed a lot before they went to the studio people don't really do that anymore as much from August to November they recorded so have an August September October November it's a four months non-stop recording I mean that's crazy that's a lot of takes and you know a lot of ooh everything needs to be perfect everything from the vocals to everything else so yeah even the most iconic albums that people toss is like oh yeah this is you know so good I mean they spent so much time in the studio doing retakes and everything so yeah I don't think you should be too harsh on these singers that they recorded things that they can sing live you may know Freddie Mercury also had trouble singing a lot of things live even though he was amazing let's keep watching that was nice I don't think that's too bad yes it was a little bit flat but I mean sometimes people on my channel say that I'm like harsh to Sega's when it comes like missing notes and stuff la I thought this was fine but these like vocal Center compilation channels I was like write out text like oh yo it's exactly like this this is how their missions I didn't think that was flat until she went for the higher note Demi what a freaking talents even though that song should probably have been written a little bit easier by the way if you're synced and tuned why are we talking about no changes at least in this context you know when it's about like oh can they do it live or not anyway let's keep watching [Music] totally played it safe it's hard to say that it's like embarrassing these are crazy high notes but it is unfortunate that people you know do things in the studio they can't do live at the same time it's not the worst like if you would have been there at the concert it's not you would have been like oh dang I wanted to hear that hi another baby would have I'm not the guy who will be like oh you didn't do the highest highest note in the universe therefore your concert sucks [Music] ha [Music] - you didn't even try it okay well that's fair she decided she couldn't sing it it's always hard with girl groups and stuff because girl groups and boy bands more than any others will like have a lot of songs written for them before they get them so maybe that song was really written more like the demo singer or maybe the demo singer was like oh yeah this girl groups amazing and singing so I'll just you know try to make it as difficult as I can and they can nail it later but obviously that's not always the case often demo singers and songwriters are really competent singers in my experience that's very common that the demo singers are just as talented as the artist but there's way more that comes into being an artist than just being a good singer of course I think people like Britney Spears and stuff really embody that really well or Selena Gomez you know anyone like that like they're more brands and like nice personas maybe then amazing singers so yeah being an artist it's not being a singer but that's obvious let's continue Pia Mia [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] I'll have the shade whoever made these compilations where the question works I mean I could totally see how that happens it's not so mean I'll come on strange the sound quality is awful how do we know that it's strange it sounds like she's singing through a telephone [Music] [Applause] yeah that was definitely obviously not written for her to do live since she took it down a full freaking tone two semitones and still couldn't really do it properly I empathize with it but it's not a good in the student recording it's really good it's actually kind of weird as well when people do the ad-libs like the the things are supposed to be improvised in a song when they sing it exactly the same light I think it would have been totally fine if she just like wrote something else I started improvising things that felt more in the moment nice than till I tried to belt these things that she's obviously struggling with okay so here we have a very similar compilation from the same channel called six hardest vocals singers can't / don't sing anymore it's the same very judgmental YouTube channel vocally epic you might say that I can't say that I think I'm fair okay these guys are going crazy anyway let's have a look [Music] nice [Music] Wow I love that that's so good man it's Saturday she doesn't do that anymore okay better technique yeah maybe but you get like involuntary distortion on that I think that's key ah that was sick Kelly what are you doing to me that's so dope I love that this year okay this came out in 2017 can we just talk one second about these type of like session musicians it's a weird you know replaceable musicians for big artists oh that's cringe [Music] [Applause] it was dodged but it was pretty nice dodge actually kind of like that it kind of took down the energy in a nice way [Music] oh yeah this is super high [Music] now it's already struggling a little bit with pension stuff let's see how this progresses because doesn't seem super comfortable it's probably one of those things again that worked in the studio and you're like oh my god that's so like power I love it let's keep it and then you're like oh yeah I got to do it loud too [Music] ah [Applause] [Music] [Applause] that was nice I like that I actually always thought that that part was a little bit lame because like just a bunch of yes for like I mean people could take me for singing yes a lot in songs but it's usually just like one here and there but that was written in a way we're like oh we got four bars and instead of writing anything interesting with respect yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah like why would you do that it brings nothing even if it's high notes it doesn't matter I like this better actually from a musical standpoint oh this is Swedish this is some Swedish TV bleeding love Leona Lewis okay very epic I used to live pretty close to this place where they filmed this [Music] Oh God I was there I remember I actually walked past I didn't I'm not the biggest Leona Lewis fan at least I wasn't dense I just kind of walked past just like roller coasters over on that side I just walked past this is a grand alone in Sweden [Music] [Applause] that's nice [Music] [Music] that is a long no [Music] well done let's see this deteriorate this this compilation is making me really cynical you like that yes let's see them fail now after doing so well [Music] [Music] nice [Music] [Applause] [Music] this compilation is kind of like assuming that everyone tries to sing everything exactly the same one of them I agree with a bunch of the like dodge things they said earlier but also like these things are supposed to be improvised their ad-libs it's like yeah it's not an integral part of the song it doesn't have lyrics or anything it's like well not any like important lyrics Oh God eight years later [Music] [Music] I think people who are really musical will often improvise things on top of the songs if they feel like like John Mayer is definitely a guy like that this is much like it seems actually a bit cheap to not be able to improvise ad-libs on top of songs in my opinion so when you say dodged or whatever like and then be surprised we should that's another impressive thing that wasn't in the original good musicians do that not saying that people who don't improvise aren't good musicians but I think if you do improvise good musical things in a live setting then that's usually means that you are a really good singer and really good musician in my humble opinion pretty cool compilation I guess that was interesting click here for more music comment our videos click here for
