first cast member you met on set of crazy rich Asians I landed I got into my hotel and I was really tired because the flight to Singapore obviously is not a short one so I got in and I get a knock on my door and it just sounded like an ad knock you know how 80s woman you know I just looked up and it was like this beautiful a beautiful Mayan and I was like oh hi and he's like what's up I'm Henry and I just want to come say hi and you know welcome you and and and I was like yeah sure you know come on in and we had this like lovely conversation and I was like this guy's so so good luck I mean what kind of this is this pick up and he's like no no I I play Nick they got some hotties so you two met each other Michelle who's the first person you met this one and I said I have to meet my son right now I can't do this whole thing without my son and then when you walked into it's like okay John you're right you found me the right son and for me like growing up with watching Michelle I was like oh my god well I'm going 40 with with Michelle Yeoh it's like literal and I think I first started I was like I'm such a big fan I love sunshine Sun shines like my biggest film like I love that film but then Michelle so grounded she's like one of the classiest human beings you'll ever come to me so professional on and off the set so we chose the most humble cheese I think I could speak for all of us she is by far maybe the coolest person I've met she is so people don't know like she is so nice and humble and cool it is like we're like we're all like gushing it but for her that really just it's it's amazing our series no I think we should you know for Michelle like you you really every role that you've taken in your career has somehow challenged the way that Asian women are portrayed she takes on these roles of a completely strong woman she embodies that and in that way it's your Savior does so thank you Miss legitimists yes just having it gives us this character this backbone the spinal cord of like strength and as a father of two daughters when you've seen strong women strong characters like Rachel Chu you're seeing Eleanor you're seeing pay Clint Astrid you're it's is it's so inspiring you know the older I get and that's really the message I take from this as a as a father
