What's stealing your bait? Pier Fishing w/ underwater camera

sir sir sir are you there [Music] so today we are at one of my favorite piers in florida just a little low keep here but i know there's a lot of fish around the area today i'm going to be doing bottom fishing to see whatever i can catch i kind of want to see what is under the pier exactly how many different species i can catch so i'm pretty much just going to be fishing along this this pier right here all the pylons on the bottom last time i was here i was jigging and i was showing you how to jig this time we're going to be doing bottom fishing let's get going you've got your gopro underwater so we're going to be getting a recording of what is stealing our bait or we might accidentally catch a fish on there [Music] so all right i'm putting one of these on bottom sweeper jigs because we saw there was mangroves under there right yeah we took a look at the footage and saw there's a bunch of big mangroves or just neighborhoods well i at least saw mangroves i don't know exactly how big i think they'll eat some shrimp i can catch some bait fish oh that would be perfect for my big mangrove snappers and eat them up there be careful yeah stephanie takes it so where did you find them last time were they on this pile huh gone i just stole it do another shrimp are you gonna jig it or just i'm gonna just sit on the bottom look at that hopefully one inhales the whole thing like that you see that that's so perfect okay it's called a bottom sweeper jade and it's designed to be able to sit on the bottom without getting all snagged up damn instantly took it all right i'm gonna try a smaller smaller hook maybe i've got a safiki rig now with little pieces of shrimps let's see [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] do [Music] foreign i gotta put more shrimp on i stole it off [Music] oh yeah i got one that's a good bait fish is this what you thought was mangroves maybe what is it it's a pork fish this is good i'm gonna save this for bait later the face is so beautiful we're gonna be using this for uh snook and grouper later excuse me oh look what i got up here [Applause] it's like it faded itself that's so perfect i'm gonna use that for bait too so oh we got a nice one oh it snapped me oh my gosh what was that what was that it's not me right at the sabiki i'm doing the same thing again okay what's that i'm putting on a sabiki except this time i'm only going to do half of it and then i'm going to put on shrimp [Music] [Music] look at all these fish chasing it now there's a million snappers what the heck is this thing what is that holy crap is that what's been stealing my bait look at this thing whoa that's a really crazy looking fish who can name this wow what the heck that is a very strange fish supposedly this is called a cow fish it's thrown back in i'm not sure pinfish that's bait save this this is a pinfish and this is really good bait for a lot of things we're going to be taking it to either another pier later or another location later to actually use them [Music] wow holy crap two mangrove snappers at a time oh yeah look at those sorry nice that was a nice pull two at a time okay so these are really feisty fish but i'm not really keeping i'm not keeping uh fish today and i think these might be a little undersized okay all right two at a time oh my goodness that was strong and i'm just using a little sabiki rig tiny little one it's just so innocent no one's gonna think that it's a trap i'm putting little pieces of shrimp like this in combination with our all-in-one bait kit it comes with the squid clams i've been using this one for a long time so like my stuff is all cut up and used but this is the all-in-one bait kit i'm gonna put a little bit of this red on there that's gonna look nice and that's the clam and that's what's gonna stay on once the other stuff is gonna i mean you see how how quickly all this stuff gets eaten off we're gonna put a bit of shrimp and then a little piece of clan like that tiny baits let's catch another species hopefully pretty much what happens like i just keep getting my bait stolen every two seconds maybe one in every six fish i land i lost a big one i don't know what it was it snapped me off i caught two mangrove snappers at one time cowfish lots of pinfish pork fish i wonder what else is down there did you see that whoa what is that that hit it all of a sudden oh the format just got it oops i just threw it [Music] whoa hey no get up the spanish mackerel that's awesome see how shiny he is oh he cut my whole line off too he cut everything how was that on shrimp yeah the clam and shrimp just came out of nowhere and hit it there you go whoa get away get away get away that's a nice one that's a good one i don't wanna that was a nice one [Music] wow so there was actually a lot of species under this pier and it was all caught on the same thing just a little sabiki rig a little bit of shrimp a little bit of clammy bits and it worked really well but they were still so sneaky they could steal my bait so easily and we're going to take a look at the underwater footage i have a feeling that it's a lot of little pinfish under there trying to steal it but we'll
