[Applause] welcome to River and his mom Harriet's an antique Lord Alexson much hello River per se this is a fashionable family who's the most fashionable person in your life my friend and what do they do for jobs do you know works in a pub what about this one do you know what she does on the computer all day just not bothered as long as that money keeps coming in for new clothes so how well do you think you can predict River I think I know him like the back of my hand really wow that is a hell of a statement so really honest in what respects it's a bit more sassy it's all the time listen to your child what about Aurora do your parents know you very well out of the two of them who are you most like most like Daddy why is that is she's cheeky and always in trouble and what about you - do you think you can predict what Aurora would do I think she's got a split personality when people are around she's idyllic but I think soon as she thinks she's not being watched she's quite crafty what's obviously how do you do anything that's not just school what's your favorite instrument it's not the best present with apples hello how are you pop you're looking cool dude what a great outfit look at that little Dicky bow and the braces I'm absolutely loving that what you like at home Omar do you like following rules yeah do you like rules what sort of rules you have in your house you have to say what kind of man is talking to you you don't know what rules are that explains a lot what do you think are you able to predict Omar I think I can predict what he's gonna do with me but I'm not so sure about how he is when I'm not looking yeah yes well that is the magic of this show oh but there we go it's time for school he's going to school [Applause] okay I was gonna tell you what they'll be getting up to but you know even bother just enjoying a break so for the little ones it's just another fun day at school but for you grown-ups the pressure is now on we're basically testing the kids in order to test the parents and if you get it wrong it's okay your kids will just love you a little bit less whoever most accurately predicts their kids behavior will gets a plate for some amazing family prizes at the end of the show are you curious about what this entails what they like when you're not there I feel like I know what rivers gonna be like okay what about Aurora I mean she looks like butter wouldn't melt it fries [Laughter] but you're all curious to find out well then you will relate so the kids first lesson because it's all about curiosity let's take a look when you're five years old the world is a curious place and kids like nothing better than to bombard as parents with never-ending questions as they try and make sense of the world around what's your favorite color I am serious sometimes I ask mommy and daddy questions I looked it up on Google if really into a subject five year-olds can ask up to a whopping seventy six questions an hour I'm always asking lots of questions because to test our inquisitive Omaha and River are the teachers gonna leave them alone with Ruby the robot and two large green and red buttons you see that green button there on the wall which burn on the walk there if you press that yeah music and then we could dance so they confidently press the green button as they've been told what it would do but the mysterious red button is a leap into the unknown have you seen that red button over there I don't know what it does do you want to push it so our our trio curious enough to push the big red button the kids were all told what the green button did and they had fun playing with it but the red button is a total unknown will your child be curious enough to find out River how curious is he home I think he's extremely curious hmm there is no way that he's gonna be presented with a big red button and he's that we're gonna push it okay so do you think you'll push the button yes yes yeah okay so we just heard that five-year-olds could have 76 questions an hour is Aurora one of those yeah as soon as you get up she's just chat away non-stop why I'm a breakfast why are you drinking why are you crying all those sort of things like press the button oh yeah no fear of the unknown and what about you guys what about Omar figures when I put it you think it's gonna press eight please yeah okay he's cautious but curious I think he would be thinking oh it's red so maybe red means no but the curiosity would override that you all think the kids will throw caution to the wind and go for the button time to find out how well you know your kids today I've been wondering that all day and yet this one I don't know what it does do you want to push it and I'm not allowed if I can knock stop baby how would she know we can do that in a minute I'm too scared to do it you want to press it go on to win one yeah go on then let's see [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Music] Wow pew it's quite messy he couldn't come of it I can't really help what's happened here we must avoid fun she told me to press those buttons why I wanted to know what the web of them did and it made all this she said I can blame it on her you like making a mess don't you yeah [Music] [Applause] all the kids in trouble you can't even check your emails on her for the red button and you all correctly predicted so that means that you're all off to a cracking start with one point so far so good but all that could change after the break when our kids play a guessing game with a difference remember don't touch the fault [Music] so what would your kid do the show that asks you questions about your kids while you ask questions about your parents in next up its art class we all enjoyed art at primary school didn't remember that was grateful wasn't it when was last time you made a picture with some pasta this is no ordinary art class because what we're really interested in is whether our kids play by the rules here we go when you 5 years old the world is already full of rules can help each other tie aprons and some are better than others but following them everybody listening we're gonna do some painting today never never never naughty but mommy sometime is she sweetly come down to the kitchen and I believe and get some more wine to drink in bed anything and we need to be listening [Music] we're not always telling me what to do I don't like it you hold up your parts with your five year olds like rules because they love to know what's expected of them but following them at five years old can be difficult as it takes time and practice to learn to control your impulses come on in so we've set up a test to see if Omar River and Aurora will be tempted to break a rule the three parts inside each pot is a prize the trio think they're just playing a simple guessing game to win prizes those are squashes burns things well [Music] it's a money Marbles I probably but this last one let's see but what they don't know is that the file pot is covered in wet red paint before we do the guessing for this one I just need to pop into the next classroom and get something so no touching okay okay so can they resist temptation and follow the one clear rule or will they be caught red-handed left alone with a pot that is covered in red paints that's still wet so then the teacher gave a very clear instruction not to touch the pot switch I mean that's good advice for all of us to be first but what would your kid do river is the stickler for the rules or is he a free spirit I think he's a free spirit he's very competitive I think he's gonna want to win there yeah absolutely okay so what do you think yes yes yes okay all right Aurora she said she never breaks rules she never does well then you're in bed Ricky why's she her hands right way in there she's gonna have a lot yeah okay you think she'll touch the pot oh ma does he do what he's told at school apparently yes yeah the teachers are like oh he's so polite and I just want to take him home at home it's a different story funny though isn't it yeah it is so I think he would have listened to the teacher I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt here but I think he would have looked at the teachers this is not a show for benefit the doubt okay so Willie touch the pot he will not touch the pot okay right well your answers a lot Tim let's see if you're right [Music] remember don't touch it [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] hi Did you touch the pot no did you touch the pot no no oh and on is that a bit of paint on there yeah oh and on your fingers oh what's that from did you touch it when I went out no just now you just did it just now [Music] [Applause] you're really wound away well you were right temptation did prove too much for her and she did sort stewpot oh ma you said that he leaved the part alone and he did as you expected well done and River you thought he'd touch it you don't win any points on that one but I think you'll enjoy this when the teacher returned she let him guess what was in the third pots should we see we can tell what's in there from smelling it close your eyes ice cream I can try and get it out of my head again try and forget about it for a minute and then I'll try again it's not my head now game right what do you think it might be before we do it I don't know really close your eyes no peeking [Music] [Laughter] my mom is confused how could you not be proud a lot that was genius like some sort of Darren brown my control that's right let's see what's done to the scuppers ante that's one point for you Aurora and Omar's parents that were level pegging on to Point C will be looking at cheating we all like to think our kids won't cheat but if you've ever unfired around and passed the partial a birthday party you'll know that five-year-olds can be pretty competitive but what do our kids think about cheating at Games let's find out the kids are heading inside for today's discussion class is it wrong to cheat you say it's because you'll get in trouble it's bad and when is the Easter egg hunt and you see looks where they are they're not cheating might be bad I might go to the head teachers office she sings a bad thing it means that you do something that's not be able to do in the game do you ever cheat oh ma so the teacher has set up again to see if the five-year-olds will choose to cheat why is that duck is here I know this game do you know what this one's cool this fish duck that's the new one this is actually called hooker dunk most five-year-olds want to win and it's around this age that kids realize that they can use cheating as a shortcut to come in first place got a red star here and in a minute I'm gonna ask you to close your eyes and then I'm gonna stick this star underneath one of the Ducks you both have to use the rods to pick up a duck and see if the star is underneath there are you ready yeah yeah so can you close your eyes please close nice and tight close them nice and tight say had the rules clearly explained but will our five-year-olds choose to cheat in order to win the price what do you think about River Willy peak no no okay Aurora I just think with everything else I think she just she probably puts her rounds up but then she has a little cheeky peek so what do you think we'll see peek yes okay oma I mean put it this way would you trust him to be the banker in monopoly he's got the braces for it he took his own eye out of race flew off when he said no no I don't he cheated Willy Pete yeah all right let's lock those answers in only rivers mom and Auntie think he'll play the game fair and square let's find out keep them closed don't peek keep them closed open your eyes now I know I just get in my head you've got five minutes Ready Steady Go there's just a 2% chance of hooking the right dog first go and rivers hops it first time and Aurora's also got her straight away after five minutes of patient fishing finally managed to net bass I wore what happened yeah I went straight over how did you know that cuz I fought it was one of them two ducks cuz they were like not with the group over here I think he cheated she's saying I cheated oh I just think he cheated because he picked up a look first it's that true river he knew just where it was because what was it is that no points view from this game oh my you underestimated the little guy I'm so sorry Omar I'm so sorry really guilty now like oh you're good at it if I'm really happy that he didn't well you should be happy but you should also feel pretty guilty as well I know he played the game no points for you and Aurora you said she'd peek and on closer inspection of the footage you were right that's me she'd already said on camera that she doesn't cheat she knows the rule she just chooses not to do she lasts the risk yeah well one point for you guys so let's see what that's done to the scores Aurora's parents are racing ahead with three points first your break but when we return things step up again as I set the kids on a trip to the Transport Museum [Applause]
