What Will My Giant Magnet Find in the River? (Magnet Fishing)

i got all kinds of stuff whoa dude i had a giant knife what's up guys my name is jake today i'm hanging out my buddy wild kyle you guys can check out his youtube channel i'll have a link in description below but today we're going to be doing something pretty fun we're in the middle of nowhere on the santa fe river and we're gonna be magnet fishing to see what we can find at the bottom of the super dark river normally we would scuba dive but obviously we can't see anything but we're gonna be using the magnet to hopefully lock on anything down there we're searching for guns needles anything super bad you just never know what you're gonna find and i'm so excited to throw it out there and hopefully find some good things to share with you guys in this video if you enjoy this one magnet fishing let me show you guys the gear i'm going to be using today to hopefully find some good stuff at the bottom of the river if you're curious all this stuff will be linked in the description box below so you can buy the exact same stuff that i bought so i have two giant magnets i have a little bracket so i can connect two magnets instead of one i have a grappling hook just in case something is too big to pull up with a magnet we could chuck that down and bring it up got a pair of gloves and a bunch of rope and i'm so excited to get out there and hopefully find some good stuff oh yeah there's gonna be something weird down there i can feel it just screaming it i've known about this bridge for a while and i've never magnet fished it but it's in the middle of nowhere and it just seems like a perfect area for someone to throw some weird stuff so i'm excited to see what we're gonna find all right we've got the magnet all set up right here jake's on the other side of the river so he's gonna start dragging it across we're gonna take little steps and keep moving back and forth so we can cover as much ground as possible and find some weird stuff so jake's about to start pulling it over now what if we find something crazy on the first pull i'd be so excited i see it dragging it's shallow dude all right so we're pulling up the first go right now and i think i actually have something on there check it out dude i've got a fishing hook and a big nail all right nothing super crazy but what i'm going to do right now is set it back down on the bank and then kyle's gonna drag it towards him all right go ahead bud i see some big on it the heck is that it's a grenade i don't know i can't get it off the magnet it's like some sort of big metal tube it's got some really nasty stuff on it too i don't really honestly know what that could be from man it's kind of cool whatever it is okay i don't know what it is man let us know in the comments what do you think come on baby give me something cool all right let's see what we got what bunch of nothing no way it's wild i thought for sure there's gonna be something on that one all right all right bring it back all right guys so i'm so excited right now we've been throwing it back and forth for about 15 to 20 minutes and we haven't really found anything super crazy but i just hooked on to something super super heavy i have no idea what it is it's just right here by the bank let's pull it up and check it out you ready kyle i lost it hold up bring it back towards you it's right here man bring it towards you a little bit all right keep it coming you got it i think it feels like it's on it again all right pull it up together yep and we're gonna bring it towards me oh yeah oh what the heck [Music] dude i got like a big piece of rebar or something it's so long holy crap it could be a samurai sword holy crap this is huge oh my goodness yeah if y'all ever doubted my magnet i don't think he would now i think it's just a big piece of rebar but it could be a potential murder weapon what kyle should they use this stuff for spearing whales how old do you think it is um i have no idea like 17th century yeah probably something like that there used to be wheels here wow that's pretty incredible to be honest with you guys i did not think i was gonna find something this big and for the magnet to actually catch it look at this thing it's huge it's freaking crazy yeah it's definitely a potential murder weapon man we have to set it aside for the police all right this is crazy we're in sketchy territory now i'm literally just like using this tree to hold my foot up and if i fall i'm going in jake's gonna feel like he's about to fall so much when you have a messed up shoulder oh yeah his shoulder's still not better so this is really different than fossil hunting i do a lot of fossil hunting normally when you're fossil hunting you can kind of ask the fossil gods for assistance but i don't know if there's any magnet fishing gods out there five guns oh it feels weird yeah maybe okay we're trying to get around these trees i don't know how this is gonna work i'm gonna like hug it okay mama oh i grabbed the wire good god i did it okay that's one tree this is actually whoa what's going on my butt i think this is hollow dude i hope this was worth it all right so we're having a good time we searched a lot of the section right by the bridge but right on the left side over here dying but right over here is a rope swing and in my opinion people out here could lose a lot of apple watches because i found a lot while scuba diving so i'm gonna see if i can find something here maybe like that but you just never know maybe someone's rope swinging and having a good time could you drop something good kyle's struggling man all right god pull it your way oh it feels like lift it up oh it feels kind of heavy i might have something dude it's heavy okay pull it towards me but keep it high all right wait let let rope go but pull it towards me oh yeah dude we got something we got something yeah we actually got something pretty big there's a big boy what is that we lost it all right bring it towards you all right well i think we're on it again all right let's see pull it up this is a little harder when you like have a messed up shoulder all right pull it up pull it up all right now let rope go towards me a little bit slowly i'm keeping it up off the ground all right keep coming oh yeah i know we might have something different this time if we got anything i'm gonna say i see it oh wait i see something oh dude what is that i think we found a sign what holy crap i didn't think we're gonna find anything bigger than what we just found no dude this thing's heavy what murderer is using a sign to kill someone say hey [Applause] look at that that's pretty wild i really didn't think we're gonna find anything bigger than the other thing we just found we just got a whole sign all right i'm gonna toss it up here i don't know honestly back in the 17th century like you said there's whales out here this was another weapon they use no yeah so real talk i guess someone's probably doing a road work or found the sign on the side of the road threw it in the water but we're going to set it aside up here so we throw it away but pretty wild man this guy's saying we always had a body over here all right so we're on the side of the bridge now i don't know if there's anything on it what is that i got all kinds of stuff yeah whoa dude i had a giant knife what the heck oh my god that's a murder weapon right there dude there's like a hair tie tied onto it or something that's weird man look at that i don't know how i feel about that that's that's why would there be something tied to it that thing's sharp still man that's scary there's some more stuff on here too what is that there's like some jewelry or something there's a pair of earrings there's no way that's like a necklace or something okay so we got a knife and a necklace someone was someone was killed right here all right whoa there's more of it well there's keys in a lock there's like a lock there's a lock right there wait where'd the keys go do they fall off oh no there's a little key there's pair of keys little pair of keys right there and more of the necklace and more of it right here tons of pieces of this necklace and the plastic got attached to it and then a big old bar so that's not bad for one pass on the side especially that holy crap oh that's insane look at that man a giant scary knife what do you think happened here there's a story right here there's a lock keys a necklace and a big knife so something definitely happened right here [Music] [Laughter] so they chop someone's ears off that's crazy man all right dude this is a good side that's a ton of cool stuff right there pull it back your way i guess look at that oh what is it whoa it's just like a bolt probably from the bridge old bolton nail thingy neato frankenstein so kyle and i we've been out here magnet fishing for about two to three hours we found some cool stuff i'd have to say the most potential murder weapon that we found is the knife that kyle found here a little weird ribbon on there but to be honest with you guys it's probably a fishing night but i mean you just never know but uh yeah that's pretty much the only murder weapon we found today but we're gonna head over to a new bridge that some of these fishermen suggested us to check out and hopefully we can find something pretty bad there but yeah this is the best find so far today we haven't even like thrown the magnet yet and look at this right down here i only want to touch it dude this scissors all right this spot's already going gonna be weird it's already gonna be real weird man hey there's a syringe over here he's like lovely that's awesome all right so we just made it to the new bridge and this is the first thing we saw kind of weird you got some cupcakes on i think cookies with some nuts on top i'm not too sure why that would be here never seen anything like that if you have an idea let me know in the comment section but yeah this it looks like a pretty good spot i mean as good as any kyle actually just found a needle over there and there just could be some bad stuff maybe in this spot so we're gonna throw the magnet out there and hopefully get lucky but that's pretty weird a lot of stumps and stuff in the way but we're trying our best and i'm excited you just never know what you're gonna find we didn't find the weapon at the other bridge but i'm hoping this one has one down there oh dude i got a lure on this thing all right look what i got oh dude i got some stuff all right let me take this lure off so when you're magnet fishing you want to be super careful because if you get hooks inside your fishing line you know when you're letting a rope back out or when you're reeling it in you can hurt your fingers so you want to make sure you get all the hooks out but dude this is actually kind of nice lure you probably buy that at walmart for anywhere between probably three dollars and maybe 12 it's definitely reusable too sweet dude i got two big nails got two big giant nails first finds from the spot all right hopefully kyle can find something pretty cool over there what is that it's a bike [Laughter] pull it up oh my gosh god has a bike you don't think so you got it come on kyle found a bike and he's struggling to bring it up on a bridge so i'm gonna go help him out real quick oh yeah that's hilarious all right guys after all day of magna fishing kyle and i found our best find of the day and it's an old bike check it out man it's definitely not worth anything but it was so much fun
