first three and a half years are like the beginning of birth pains the final three and a half years will be more like hard labor as we wait for the return of Jesus where is all of this in the Bible Matthew Revelation and a lot of other places so join us for this fascinating lesson today foreign [Music] good morning Welcome to our end times timeline conference with Joel Richardson we are super excited you're watching us and we are glad to have you here for those of you that are in the room we always say we're so thankful that people showed up because this is such an important topic um anyway we last night we did three sessions we pretty much went through everything you would need to know about the Rapture the different views of the Rapture and why we came up with this whole the Bible says this is there is no pre-tribulation Rapture so we were super glad that everyone came back today and we didn't scare everyone away yesterday so thanks for that um did you eat this morning I did I the hotel had sausage so I loaded my plate up with sausage we have bagels and donuts But he sounded like he walks in yesterday I'm like why are you so skinny I go that's ridiculous and he's like well I'm on this one diet whatever and I said well I Thursday morning I woke up and I thought wow the conference is tomorrow night I should probably go on a diet when I travel I don't do the diet so I just if I eat a bagel I'll fall asleep at 12. so yeah um yeah well my diet that day when I went on it consisted of um I was like oh I'm gonna have guacamole and chips and then a brownie so there you go that didn't work very well and then my husband made guacamole and I was holding my phone and I dropped my phone into the guacamole so all the things on the bottom were filled with guacamole so it was really super and I had to pray that night that God would heal my phone because I was afraid like and he did so there you go yeah because water resistance that's one thing guacamole resistance that's something else entirely no my husband cleaned it out with water like he literally took a sprayer and I was like oh I don't think that's a good idea anyway let's talk about end times because my my never mind first what are we on number number 20 okay um before we start on number 20 I want to talk about something we talked about last night because a lot of people still have this question about why is it that we have these really Bible teachers out there and all of you know them they're very well known they write books they have all this they have huge followings how is it possible that they can read like Matthew 24 where it says after the tribulation Jesus you know comes and raptures us out of here how how can they not see what is so plain in the scripture like they know context they know scripture how is it possible that they can take all the verses that we talked about last night and literally like not see this yeah and there's several different ways I think that you could answer that a big part of it is what I mentioned last night which to understand the history the movement if you will the the Plymouth Brethren movement out of which came John Darby John Nelson Darby and then Schofield that so impacted the United States this movement recovered some incredibly important biblical truths it was a it's an amazing movement I you know there's other guys by the way that came out of the Plymouth Brethren BW Newton SP tragelis a lot of people forget them they were not pre-trib but they came out of the same movement late 1800s wrote some amazing books these guys were all Geniuses all of them but again Darby and Scofield sort of won the pr War influence the United States and so as I said you have as I jokingly referred to it last night the pre-tribulational industrial complex and you very much if you didn't hold to that pre-trib Doctrine you were on the peripheral you were pushed aside and so you had a wonderful movement that recovered the concept of pre-millennialism which is the idea that Jesus returns and establishes a Thousand-Year Reign on the earth that he returns previous to the Millennium this is a very important biblical truth that was really recovered it was held by the early church kind of Forgotten and then after the Reformation slowly it was recovered so you have this wonderful thing but then what happens and this is just human nature people join teams people go you know I know what Joel is saying makes sense but I like this teacher you know um John McArthur's my guy or um David Jeremiah he's my guy and so people are we're lazy and we go I trust this guy he's really smart he seems to know what he's talking about if he says it's pre-trib it's pre-trip and or you know or John McArthur or David Jeremiah go well I went to Seminary and my favorite Professor taught this and so we tend to be very good students of our teachers and not always necessarily very good students of the word well how do these brilliant guys hold to this when they look at the word I'm a big fan of oakham's Razor which says the simplest explanation is usually the proper explanation when someone needs 30 pages to explain why yeah that verse seems to be saying that but here's why it actually means just the opposite of what it seems to be saying now there's for every view that we have there's going to be some difficulties like every position there'll be difficulties we all have them but if your view is the view that requires the most very complicated difficult explanations it might be the wrong View and unfortunately sometimes people are too smart for their own good and so you know they'll have explanations it's just that my father who's the fisherman is going to listen to and go yeah that just sounds like a bunch of bull you know like he's just an earthy guy and he goes that just doesn't pass the sniff test do you know what I'm saying because again the disciples were fishermen they were rednecks From Galilee and yes the Bible requires some scholarship you know we need to be good students but it's written for the average person it doesn't require the professor to explain it we don't need a guru to explain it we can read these things and go yeah it says after the tribulation that's when the Rapture happens and they'll say well this is actually not the Rapture even though it says that he'll send forth his angels just like all the other Rapture passages they'll be the great shout they'll gather together the elect from the Four Winds um into the sky they go that's actually not the Rapture this is just sort of poetic language referring to the Lord regathering the Exiles of Israel back to the land here you go that's that's the explanation by the way they'll say that's not the Rapture it's something else and you go but everything all of the motifs in this verse the sending forth of the Angels the shout of the Archangel the Gathering of the elect the shout from Heaven these type of things those are in all of the other you know Rapture passages that they'll point to they go yeah but this is a different shout of an archangel this is a you know Etc this is a different gathering in the sky and again people who love their teachers go okay well he's smarter than me so it must be true so but let me just say this too I get pretty passionate um you know sometimes and as a teacher I always want to be aware I want to be mindful of the fact that sometimes people pick up you know so if you're listening to me and I'm passionate the thing that I don't want to happen is I don't want someone to get upset go back and get in a fight with their Pastor you go well I go to a pre-trib church this is not an issue worth fighting about it is not an issue worth dividing over it is an issue worth discussing in public let the people be bereans so you've got folks like Amir Safari very popular end time teacher from Israel and he'll take pot shots at anyone who doesn't hold to the pre-trib Rapture real strong Jan Markell very popular radio host you've got David Jeremiah John MacArthur I will debate any one of them in public anytime not for the sake of who who can win a debate but in order to present let's let's be cross-examined throw your best at me let's look at the scriptures and let the people be bereans but I'm you know willing to bet that they won't they'll take the pot shots from from the platform but they won't actually allow themselves to be cross-examined in public I've issued the invitation to have a public debate with Amir Safari he's turned it down I recently just asked Andy Woods he's a great gentleman Pastor I think he's in Texas maybe Oklahoma who's very well versed in their in the whole issue of the Rapture I think he taught like 30 sermons on it or something at his church and so far he hasn't responded Tommy ice the head of the pre-tribulational Rapture Research Center like I will debate any one of these guys in public not because I'm looking for a fight but because I think these are issues worth discussing before the body but again it's not an issue to divide over we've got much bigger fish to fry is the body of Christ we need to stick together and these are in-house debates but the the ramifications the implications of this are dramatic so it's worth discussing it's worth taking a whole Saturday morning to discuss these things but it but don't go back to your church and get all upset and angry if you're a pastor you know teaches the pre-trib Rapture this type of thing so that's important my son-in-law was here last night he was one of Mary Cheyenne and he got saved like radically saved like four years ago and all she does is study he's learning um you know great like he's doing all this stuff but he's never been he said last night after it was over I've never even heard of a pre-tribulation Rapture he said I've never even heard of the Left Behind series he said but why would anyone believe that because he studies the word he said the Bible like I just go by what the Bible says the Bible doesn't say that so I was impressed with that that he has never he didn't have any baggage and a lot of us I think have baggage from you know who we listen to and and all of that no no one's just going to pick up the Bible and go yeah the pre-trib Rapture is everywhere you have to be taught it yeah you have to be taught it it's you know what I'm saying if you just pick up the Bible that's the last thing that you're going to come away from is with a pre-tribulational Rapture yeah yeah all right let's go to question 20 um on one hand Jesus gives us a timeline for end time events but he also says uh concerning that day or hour no one knows not even the angels of Heaven nor the son but the father only people don't like that because they're like what yeah so this this is an issue that comes up a lot so pre-tributors so those that hold to the pre-trib so we have terms like that pre-trivers are you a pre-trib or post pre-rather um so pre-trivers argue that since we have a time frame which we've discussed last night the seven year time frame and since we cannot know the day or the hour only pre-tribulationism can be true because it has to be on a day that we don't know otherwise you can discount the days so that's essentially the argument so they argue that if Jesus returns at the end of the seven years we could simply Count 2 520 days which is seven times one thousand um well 360 days Daniel uses 360 days again real years are 365 days the Hebrews add every now and then in what's called an inter-calorary month to kind of Rectify this gets a little complicated so there are actually several different answers to this because it's a valid point that people make um why we actually won't know the day or the hours so let me just throw out a few and I don't want to get too involved but first of all a year as I said is 365 days not 360. seven years or thus 2555 days not 2 520. so you end up with 35 day difference if you use actual 365 day years as opposed to Daniel's looser 360 day years again that's why the Hebrews use the intercalary month so the question is which one do we use do we use 365 or 360. so this is a debate that we could have and probably spend three hours with Scholars arguing why it should be one way or the other it complicates the question and it and it it interjects one reason why we might not know the exact day and all it says is we don't know the day or the hour you know to be you know this is kind of uh squirrely but will we know the weak will we know the month I think we'll know the season it just says we won't know the precise day or the hour like that's pretty specific terminology um further complicating this you've got this passage at the end of Daniel 12 which says this so first Daniel has these 1260 day time frame again that's three and a half years if you're using 360 day years and then you have this verse from the time the regular sacrifice is abolished until the that's the abomination of desolation from the time that that's set up so that's the midpoint and then it says there will be 1 290 days well that's an extra 30 days on top of the 1260. and then he says how blessed is he who keeps and attains and he waits until the 1 335 day so there's an extra 45 days you go what's going on here okay and again there's a lot of discussion you could debate these things it further complicates the the issue and then there's this and this is really fascinating so a lot of people think that Jesus will return at the very end of the biblical holiday called Yom terua or the blasting of trumpets which involves a series of blasting of trumpets now here's the thing about yomtrua it's also known as the day which no one knows that's not the exact phrase but it's kind of like the unknown day and here's the reason biblically speaking and it says it in the Bible you have to they don't know the exact day and it's based on when they first cite the new moon from Jerusalem so it could be it's a 48-hour window basically and until the Sanhedrin declare the day everyone's waiting is this going to be the day or the other day so it's interesting that the phrase no one knows the day of the hour it could actually be telling us it will be on Yom teruah but we just don't know exactly which day that is it could actually be using sort of a a phrase a an idiom if you will for Yom terua it's also known as sort of the day that no one knows um so that's possible and again it varies from year to year so that's there's a few other possibilities that complicate things what if the Abomination that causes desolation that's supposed to be set up in the middle what if it's four days off what if we're just given sort of loose time frames here not precise days then that throws the whole thing off as well so there's multiple answers to this the other issue too is from a pre-wrath perspective the idea is that the Rapture could happen not necessarily at the very end of the seven years but sometime in between and this gets a little technical but it's a very valid argument pre-wrath would say that we have to understand there's there's a difference between the tribulation or the wrath of Satan and the wrath of God and so after the Rapture then Jesus I you know the pre-wrath camp would say we go up to heaven for a little bit of time the post-trib say no we meet him in the air and come right back but then Jesus is executing or pouring out the wrath of God on the earth against unbelievers and it might not fall precisely at the end of the seven years so the pre-wrath camp actually has a very good answer for this as well I think that's much better than the pre-tribulational um perspective so the point is there's many different ways we can answer this it's really not an argument for pre-tribulationism yeah um okay so number 21 and I want to talk so I want to make this like uh as we're human beings living on this Earth and this is this seven year period is going to start okay and then I want to talk about Matthew 24 because Jesus is the one who tells us exactly what's going to happen so what I want to do is say like what should we when this seven year period starts what does Jesus say that is is going to I want us to fill in the blanks for us so we're like okay well what what exactly does that mean for me living in the United States because I don't know if I think we asked this question um do we about is this going to be a worldwide thing or is this just is see what I most people are stuck on the Left Behind the whole world is going to come crashing down the Bible doesn't say that so what what does this mean does this mean that um we're all going to be affected by what you know this first three and a half years um you know because there's a lot of stuff that's going on and we I think we talk about that um yeah we do okay so let's just so let's just start with your your first verse that's kind of where I want to go I want I want us to know okay in the first three and a half years what are we going to face okay okay yeah so let's just start with this so Matthew 24 again we mentioned it last night called the Olivet discourse it's in the three synoptic gospels so Matthew 24 um Luke 21 and Mark 13 and they're all you know just like the synoptic gospel slightly different Matthew 24 tends to be the passage that most people spend the most time looking at but we could look at all three but again this is Jesus's sermon on the last day so he gives us kind of a big picture overview so just to sort of jump back Jesus is leaving the temple and they go the disciples go man look at the temple that thing's amazing and Jesus throws them an incredible shocking statement he goes I tell you the truth not one stone will be left that whole thing's good like imagine going to Washington DC and you're walking around the tour guides like you know here's the Washington Monument and here's the Lincoln Memorial in the White House and you're like wow that's amazing and he goes the whole thing is going to be a big smoking Ash Heap you know you're like wait why what did you just say so the disciples are like okay let's just go back to what you just said about the whole Temple is going to be destroyed and they understood that the destruction of the temple was connected to the end time so they go tell us they come to him privately on the all the Mount of Olives that's why it's called the Olivet discourse the Mount of Olives looks across the Kidron Valley at the Temple Mount and they go tell us when will these things be what will be the sign of your coming and of the End of the Age like teach us about the end times because it's confusing and so he starts out he goes first of all make sure that no one misleads you watch out for deception so this is the first point make sure that no one misleads you and then he kind of goes into laying these things out um so when he does this when he starts laying out the Olivet discourse he draws from two key portions of scripture one is Isaiah 26 and 66 which we looked at last night these are the passages in Isaiah that use the birth pain analogy they say Israel will go through a time of great suffering that will lead to Global Redemption so he draws from that language Jesus reiterates borrows from Isaiah and reiterates and uses that language of birth pains and a birth okay it's a wonderful analogy and then he also draws from Daniel Daniel is the one that gives us the seven year time frame in the middle of which is the Abomination that causes desolation that is the definitive time marker that any student of the end times needs to be aware of these basic things so that's sort of the big framework that Jesus uses we have a seven year time frame the middle of which is the Abomination that causes desolation and what Jesus does is he basically says the first half these are the beginning of birth pains the second half those are the real birth pains so in modern terminology it's this Braxton Hicks contractions don't go to the hospital just yet but they are coming right like for everyone that has their first baby I think this is it ah you go sorry these are just the beginning of birth like they don't quite count they're like but these already seem scary and they're like yes but it's going to get much worse so but that's basically so here's you know just a very loose timeline to help us understand this is the timeline that we want to Pivot from this is the timeline that Jesus gives us again borrowing from not borrowing for it expanding upon the words of the prophets they all they all understand and are familiar with each other and this is that which we want to Pivot off of as well so the first half is the beginning of birth pains the second half is the Great Tribulation or the birth pains which lead to the birth the birth being the return of Jesus the renewal of all things the end of all of this Insanity the end of this crazy Wicked broken corrupt system that we're living with and the renewal the the birth of the the age of redemption so to speak so that's a very biblical framework and we talked last night to the beginning of the seven years starts with with the Antichrist who we may or may not know we talked about that we'll make a covenant with Israel possibly a peace treaty possibly something this will be the start of it if if we're good students of of the Bible you know we probably will maybe sort of know that uh he'll come on the scene as I'm assuming a nice guy at the beginning uh we love love we want to love Israel we want to make make peace and then it's going to just kind of go bad from there so okay go ahead yeah so you can actually kind of work through it all of the verses there in Matthew Matthew 24. actually I'll real quick so let's go through those in verses four through eight he goes see to it that no one misleads you many will come in my name saying I'm the Messiah um they'll mislead many there's going to be false christs false Messiahs you'll be hearing of Wars rumors of wars so he kind of lays out the classic things that we think of with the last days but don't be frightened these things must take place it's not that yet the end these are just the Braxton Hicks contractions Nation will rise against Nation by the way the word there in Greek is ethnos against ethnos ethnic groups against ethnic groups we already see that you know in the United States so much racial tension it's not just Canada is going to go to war with um Mexico or whatever you know it's not you know it's not Russia and Ukraine or it is that but it's actually much more than that it's it's racial tension this type of thing Kingdom against Kingdom various places there'll be famines earthquakes here it is these are the beginning of birth pains don't don't be freaked out these are the uh the King James says the beginning of Sorrows this is the beginning of Sorrows now can this happen like right now could we be like oh this is sort of kind of or is this literally like the moment that that contract is signed now suddenly all of this is going to get worse or are we is it kind of more on a pathway to it I would say both like you can say these things have been happening throughout all of human history but there is a concentrated period once we shift into that final seven year again as the Lord said through Daniel seven years a shavua has been set apart for your city and for your people and then he goes on to you know to seal up prophecy to finish iniquity to anoint them all you know he lists these six things that will take place so there is a set apart time which these things would be most concentrated but in in a sense yeah they're certainly on I mean there's wars and rumors of wars now but what happens in the prophecy Community is people are always you know some of the teachers it's like they're they're chomping at the bit they want to be like we're already in the tribulation you're like like don't jump the gun we're not in the Seven Years yet look covid covid was the first seal you know like there's just constant you know this is that this is that and then you know the YouTube videos Galore about these things and people freak out well but kovid the jab um you know because the first Rider has a bow an arrow and you know and they like get into these things oh what's the thing oh because the the rider on the horse the first seal has a crown Corona means crown that must be the first seal I'm like no that's not the first seal but there's there's constantly people trying to make connections and say we're already we're not in it yet I think again we'll know it most of us will know it if we're really studying the scriptures when we get there um so yeah that sort of answers that here's my weird question because someone asked me this the Bible say the other day um like should we be storing up food for stuff like this like as weird as that sounds like I was like I don't even think about stuff like that but like because there is going to like it you know you've got famines and I mean is that something that as Christians we should do or should we just be like yeah whatever we're good to go I think it's a personal decision okay I think it's personal some people are really into that some are not look uh my wife and we just moved um to a new house and when we did so we threw away finally our food that expired from Y2K so we didn't buy a lot but you know we kind of bought like I think it was like 600 worth of canned stuff the only thing we actually and we're like well surely we'll use this for cooking like even if we don't use it for the end times yeah we'll use the powdered eggs um the only thing I think we ever used is the chocolate pudding like this big can um that would be the first thing I would eat yeah yeah you're looking around you're down in the basement what are you doing nothing so um look some people are really into store and and like if the Lord here's my rule I would say if the Lord tells you to do it that's wonderful but so everyone stores up beans and bullets the problem is what do you do as a Christian when your neighbors come over and they're hungry because they didn't store up the beans do you use your bullets to protect your beans would you share it with your neighbors in which case how can you ever have enough so there's all these type of things I think it's wise to be prepared there could be natural disasters that could have nothing to do with the end times it's it's wise to have these things on the other hand is there ever enough you know here's my rule personally in life when it comes to these things when it comes to investing I don't ever do anything out of fear if I'm on the rate if I'm I you know I was a painter for 20 some odd years if I listening to Glenn back or some talk radio and I'm like oh gosh like holy you know I'm afraid I need to do this and that I would say never act out of fear because it will lead you to make bad decisions I remember you know like 20 years ago I was like oh I need and I took like my life savings which was not a lot I bought a bunch of silver it immediately crashed and you know my wife's like why are you such a and I'm like because I acted out of fear so just don't do that but again if the Lord tells you in with wisdom to prepare maybe some people have a real calling to do that to have a ranch where they want you know to to House people and families and you have that type of calling you know it's a personal decision is what I would say my brother started to doing that like he moved to Arkansas and like his canning and doing all his got this big Warehouse I'm like perfect I got food so wait I know we have to be so okay so I have a good friend out here in the Phoenix area I came out and visited with him some years ago very wealthy guy and he has like I don't even know where he lives he has like a 16 000 foot house that he built with an additional 16 000 feet underneath like he has like this big I hope he supports your ministry well I haven't talked to him in a while but anyway he was really he was really into this he had a digital shooting range in his basement like it was pretty cool but anyway he so I get to tell this story because it's so funny so we also had a cabin up in Show Low and um which had two bowling alleys in the basement but um he goes yeah I really want to buy a ranch for the end times I was like you gotta Mansion up in Show Low with two bowling alleys in the basement you get a 16 000 foot house down here in Phoenix with an underground city under it what do you need a ranch for he goes well I don't want to go up to Show Low because the um the Apache reservations nearby and they'll come up and I was like what are you what is like the 1890s I was like they all have diabetes they're not going to come riding through horses on the woods to raid for your foot to get your food and then he goes I just he goes yeah you're right he goes actually I took my brother-in-law we went to the reservation and we we said um who's the best Indian guide like who's the best Apache hunting guide and they said this guy so we go over to his and he had a bunch of property and he said we said can you take us on a hunt and the guy comes out and half his footage has been cut off and so we hop in his station wagon we go driving off into his property and he goes you boy's mind if we just hunt from the car because so we just stuck our guns out the window and drove around and shut he's like that was our authentic Indian hunt anyway it's just a great Phoenix story so I thought I would share that sorry you're like you're going to be fine he's like you're right I probably should just be happy with what I have oh okay verse nine okay so then you get to the actual birth pains it's gonna be after this is is this after are we still in the three first three and a half or now are we moving into okay after yep so here's the here's the shift so he says then they will deliver you to tribulation okay so again that happens specifically when you see the abomination of desolation here's where it says they'll kill you you'll be hated at that time many will fall away betray one another many false prophets lawlessness is increased as uh the brother pointed out this is um really from a Hebrew perspective it's a rejection of the ways the instructions of God a rejection of Torah I'm not saying we all have to stop eating shrimp that's not the point but rejecting the spirit of God's instructions that's where the world is now they're hostile to the ways of the Lord because that lawlessness is increased people's love will grow cold but the one who endures to the end the one who not the one who is raptured will be snow the one who endures to the end the one that remains faithful through tribulation through trials they will be saved this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached and all the world as a testimony then the end will come that's the actual birth pains but here is oh actually so it I'm sorry I didn't quote it but it's the Abomination that causes desolation once that's established that's where he says when you see the Abomination that causes desolation spoken of by Daniel then no but that's when the birth pains happen so that's the second half then here's the birth immediately after the tribulation the the sun will be dark and these are the cosmic signs the Moon Turns to blood the Stars will fall from Heaven the powers of heaven will be shaken and then he gathers his elect that's what we're looking for we need to hold out for the birth Okay so so or if we asked it are we talking worldwide because is it like is it how does that play out like so we actually have that as a question okay yeah I just can't remember so we'll just keep going then okay go ahead um all right let's talk about the Olivet Discord what Jesus says and this shocked me when I uh taught Revelation this was one of the things I I totally I'd never seen it before but literally what Jesus says in Matthew lines up with the seals that are when Jesus you know breaks each seal in in Revelation and they're literally just like so much of the same things and I was surprised at that I don't I don't know why so what Jesus says and what Revelation says kind of ties in together so yeah very much so the Book of Revelation pivots off of what Jesus the foundation that Jesus laid Jesus was pivoting off of what the prophets have already said in the Book of Revelation is building upon this is important this is why my view of the end times comes from this perspective the foundation is the prophets and then what Jesus says adds to and gives Clarity to what they said and the Book of Revelation comes last oftentimes Christians will start trying to understand the end times they when I first got saved you know I was a little drug addict too mostly you know like a a pothead but you know the first book I opened to was the Book of Revelation that's a bad way to do it don't start with the Book of Revelation start with a foundation especially if you're a pothead a woman in the dragon you know so there's there's kind of a way to to interpret the Bible and we need to understand the way that it's written you start with the foundation you don't start with the roof right like that's not how you build a house you don't build the roof first and then try to build the walls and then do the foundation you start with the foundation the foundation is Moses the foundation is Torah then the prophets are pointing back to that and then Jesus and the apostles are building on that and the Book of Revelation comes last so that's important so let's look at the way the Book of Revelation aligns got a few charts here so in Matthew 24 Jesus speaks of deception and false christs in the Book of Revelation you have the first seal that's the writer uh the White Horse okay but stop there for a second because this is when Jesus like uh like when if you if you're with us in Revelation like Jesus is the only one that can open the scroll yeah and so the scroll has seven seals on it and so Jesus opens one at a time and every time he opens one that's that's what we're talking about here in Revelation so picture an old classic scroll that has these wax seals on it the first one is broken it's the rider on the White Horse and it's often believed this is the Antichrist He Goes Forth conquering conquering and to conquer Jesus begins by saying it begins with deception false christs false Messiahs then you have Matthew 24 um 6A there'll be wars and rumors of wars in Revelation the second seal the red horse is the removal of Peace great sword War so you can see the pattern of Revelation aligns with the way Jesus lays it out really really quite well then Jesus says then there'll be famine so after the war then you have famine Revelation has the third seal that's the black horse economic collapse famine in just the same order you know so again these things align um those were the beginning of birth pain so this is the first three and a half years yeah okay so you've got the first three Riders then comes persecution tribulation this is in Revelation 6 verse 7 and 8 the fourth seal or the fourth Rider this is the Ashen or the pale or the cloros so it's kind of like the the color of a dead body kind of green Pale Horse and then he it just it's death so oh actually I there's another we could keep going um as you continue with the seals I didn't include the chart it really does revelation aligns with Jesus's sort of time frame um so it's it's important to see that they're not disconnected they're very much elaborating and supporting one another okay 23 um so how does that help us understand the seals the trumpets and the Bulls in Revelations so you've got this the seals are broken and then it moves into the trumpet judgments and the Bold judgments and that's where I got I get lost um because there's there's so much between the the um trumpets and the Bold judgments because it's like are we here are we not here does it is it all over the world is it just Israel there's just so many questions that I think that I wanted to try to get answers to so yep so now I've kind of given a little bit more of a detailed chart to understand the different perspectives and just for clarity it's also where I get lost um this is why it's important to have the interpretive framework that I just laid out let the main things be the main things let Moses let the prophets let the words of Jesus be the main thing Revelation is a hard book I mean I've been teaching it I've been working through it hard for years and I've been teaching it like verse by verse for the past couple years it's a hard book and there's tons of debate in it you can get 10 teachers in a room and go give me your chart of how you think the seals the trumpets and the Bulls will unfold and everyone's going to have a slightly different chart I mean it's even from the same pers you know you get five pre-tribers they're gonna have slightly different charts you get three pre-raphlers they're going to be slightly different charts it's complicated so one of the questions is do they all unfold con like consecutively so first the seals then after the seventh seal then come the trumpets then the bowls that's one big discussion you can have or do they unfold concur currently so they're kind of overlapping one another or is there kind of a mixture between the two some of them are consecutive and then some of them are inside and with within like they're parenthetical and Book of Revelation has many parenthetical sections like parentheses like like I'm explaining something then I stop and I make this other point and then I come back to what I was saying and you're going you know how do I lay out the timeline of what Joel just explained and the Book of Revelation is tricky okay so let me just say that and I'm not dogmatic um I'd far rather as a teacher say guys I'll be honest I really don't know one thing one thing I'm confident of is that when all this unfolds I'll put my right arm on The Chopping Block that says I'm going to get some stuff wrong I'm very confident of that we all will um the Lord alone will be no one at the end of the day is going to be like I told you you know I had it all figured out I told you like that's not going to be a discussion at the day of the Lord okay so here's the pre-tribulational Rapture View you've got these seals those are the little blue I've got those then you've got the trumpets then the bowls so that's basically the the pre-trib perspective the pre-wrath has the Rapture happening at the Sixth Seal now again the pre-wrath doesn't really know it's just vague sometime within that last three and a half years the Lord comes back and the Rapture takes place and it makes a distinction between the seals and which is the Tribulation or the persecution of Satan and the trumpets and the Bulls which pre-wrath would say this is the wrath of God that's poured out on the earth against unbelievers but we get raptured before these things the pre-wrath view has some very really good solid arguments and I consider myself pre-wrath but I also consider myself post-trip I I kind of think there's a way and I'm just not quite sure how to make it all work together but I think they both have strengths but I think they both also have some difficult verses that are hard because when you read Revelation it does seem to put the seals it does seem to make them consecutive like they unfold seals trumpets bowls but when you look at the Sixth Seal it really looks like the rapture but when you look at the seventh trumpet it also looks like the rapture and there's just difficulties it just it does did something come between the sixth and seventh that maybe we didn't see yeah and in fact I I could even be wrong here maybe even the pre-wrath would have the seventh before the trumpets or the trumpets would be part of the seventh seal you know again everybody's got it a little different so here's sort of I'm going to say there's the post-tribulational perspective this is kind of mine which is sort of the fifth the sixth and the seventh seal you could almost say they all are a summary of the whole three and a half years I kind of see the trumpets I I think that we're raptured at the last trumpet that's what the scriptures say the pre-wrath would say well these trumpets in Revelation are different than the last trumpet that Jesus and Paul talked about those are different trumpets I go Ah that's hard that's hard to say that after the last trumpet are seven trumpets you know and we should just know that they're very different I go ah that one's hard but again this is just one of the difficulties so you can see the different you know there's many different ways you can graph it out this is probably the most difficult part of understanding the end times is knowing precisely but to be honest who cares like who cares like again alls we have to do is be prepared to face tribulation in the Antichrist we don't need to know you know when I open the newspaper is this the third trumpet or you know like like it's all a mess it's a big nightmare like you know let's just be faithful it's going to be hard we don't need to have it all figured out but theology Geeks we like to do it anyway so that's you know and that's okay um okay I think we already answered number 24 is the Antichrist the one who will make the treaty in Israel who starts the seven so we are already did that but if you want to talk about that more I think we can you can explain it even more here I'll just touch on it real quick so yes the Antichrist is the individual again the the main passage is Daniel 9 verses 24 through 27 those last four verses in Daniel chapter nine he is the one that that enters into that Covenant but what happens is so here's the chart where the four different places in Daniel where he mentions both the Abomination that causes desolation and the ceasing of offerings he reiterates it four times here's what's amazing is you'll get a lot of different teachers they'll say well in Daniel 8 11 and 12 the Antichrist is the one that causes the Abomination that causes desolation he's clearly the one that causes offerings to cease but in Daniel 9 they'll say it's Jesus and I go no it's bad bad in Daniel 8 11 and 12. it's the same thing in Daniel 9 but because the language is admittedly a little confusing in Daniel 9 people end up with all these different views we have to have a consistent view every time Daniel references these things it's the Antichrist and so yes I mean just in summary he's the one that will initiate these things when you have this perspective that says it's it's Antichrist and in some of the charts I say Antiochus which antiguous epiphanies is the historical type of which the Antichrist is the greater Antiochus um epiphanies and then all sudden just one of the verses you have as Christ which is most of the reformed guys the guys that are the Calvinists um you know the real smart reform Baptists I won't name all you know RC Sproul some of these guys they would put Christ as the subject of of Daniel 9 and I go it's just it's a very inconsistent approach to the Book of Daniel so I I know it's kind of technical but if you're a theology geek you understand what I'm saying a friend of Israel to begin with yeah to say a friend I don't know that we can know that he will be a friend however there is some really solid scripture that's important first of all I I would just say it this way he will have enough political Capital that the leaders of Israel will trust him enough to enter into a treaty or again it could be a security agreement look the Middle East is I lived in Israel in 94 during the Oslo Accords Bill Clinton Arafat and Yitzhak Rabin was it Arafat yeah it was yeah in fact it was funny story because I remember Clinton told the story where they were talking in the White House they were going arafat's going to try to kiss me you know the Arabs kiss and he goes but I don't want to kiss the guy and so they had this thing here I'll demonstrate so shake my hand so when you reach out to shake his hand and he comes in for the kiss grab his elbow and stiff on him and do this and so if you watch the video you can see Clinton he kind of he grabs them so that our vet can't come in for the kiss so fun little historical things um but when things like that happen like you know with what you were watching did community be like oh they went crazy this is and they're doing it again now the Trump thing yeah with the abrahamic yeah because people will write me and I'll be like I don't know call Joel yeah but no it's so whenever you have these comprehensive Middle Eastern agreements you should pay attention now let me also say this what happens in the prophecy Community is they go treaty abrahamic Accords bad it must be bad the Bible says it's bad it's bad Jared Kushner is the Antichrist right this is huge Israel has every right in fact they should enter into friendly diplomatic relationships with their neighbors it's not bad for Israel to say we have good relations with the UAE with the United Arab Emirates or Bahrain or Morocco or you know Egypt or Jordan these are good things they should do that but the point is these type of comprehensive uh agreements the abrahamic Accords the Oslo treaties these type of things they they are preparing they're leading up to what the Bible says bad will come out of it but that doesn't mean the whole thing's bad and Jared kirschner is the Antichrist like just we're so quick to demonize people or some people say Trump's the Antichrist or you know whatever like we just we've done this for so long like stop it like just and you know don't be so quick to to Antichrist point this guy's the Antichrist like we've done it for so long it becomes silly that's why I made the joke about Kamala Harris but um but so he begins with enough political Capital that Israel will enter into this sort of agreement with him whatever it might be a peace treaty a security agreement or just an acknowledgment that Israel has a right to the Land Based on the Mosaic Covenant it could just be like hey as a Muslim leader I want to say that the Quran the Muslim sacred book affirms because it actually does that Israel has a right to the land but we also the the Torah also says you need to treat the strangers in the land respectfully so how can we work out some type of agreement where the Palestinians and the Jews share the land and that's probably you know it very well could be something like that we don't know exactly what it will be but we know it will be some type of a covenant in agreement now but here's what's interesting in Isaiah 10 Isaiah talks about this and he's talking about the age of redemption and he says now in that day after Jesus returns he says the remnant of Israel so those that are left he says and those from the house of Jacob that have escaped notice the language those that have survived the remnant those that have escaped the tribulation they will never again rely on the one who struck them so you've got this hint here in Isaiah that there's a degree to which they actually entrust themselves to this guy this anti so is he a friend of Israel they will actually go this guy promised that if we share the land with the Palestinian like whatever it looks like he will guarantee that we won't be invaded he'll guarantee that Iran won't attack us he'll guarantee that the rest of the Muslim nations won't invade this type of thing they will come to and you go Israel would never do that hello the Oslo Accords they've done it many times with Arafat and then Arafat by the way came out in public so he makes this treaty with Israel and then in arabic speaking to his people he goes we've done this in the spirit of the Treaty of who they be a which is an arid which is a Islamic term for when Muhammad made a deceitful treaty with some of the tribes the quraishis in in Mecca um yeah in in the land of Arabia so they and when they translated they were like oh my gosh we trust the left always trusts the good intentions uh the the left in Israel and they were like we really thought Arafat was serious and then we have him on video saying this whole thing was a sham and so it's amazing that Israel once again will come to rely on the Antichrist rather than relying on the Lord their God this is the cry throughout the scriptures oh Israel trust in the in the Lord don't trust in Pharaoh don't trust in you know the the Assyrians or like these different treaties that they've entered into over the years it's okay to have friendly relations diplomatic relations but don't trust in these things don't trust in your military trust in the it's okay to have a good military but you put your trust in the Lord and that's really what this ultimately um you know is really about they will come to trust in sort of the the good intentions if you will of the Antichrist in Isaiah 28 he goes but you trusted in this Covenant and the Lord says therefore hear this you scoffers in Israel hear this you rulers of Israel of Jerusalem you've said we made a covenant with death it's like they're brag we made a covenant so that death isn't going to get us we're secure we've made a pact with hell when the overwhelming Scourge will not reach us when it we're safe and that this this overwhelming Scourge it's a weird picture it combines the imagery of a flood like a tsunami and whips it's like a it's like a tsunami of scourges gorgeous is where you take a bunch of leather at the end of a stick and it's got sharp things like you know nails and and Brads in the end and you know that's a Scourge when it's like a flood of scourge when that comes we're going to be safe and the Lord says you've made falsehood your your safety net and you've concealed yourselves with the deception he goes when it comes in it's going to destroy you so that again this is the Lord is breaking his people so they will finally come to trust him and him alone that's really what this is all about Jill is it going to be for all of Israel are we talking mostly are we talking like the Temple Mount or the Dome on the Rock is and they're going to try to share that or or is this just will this be an all Israel thing you know I mean again that's just speculation but I would say all of Israel because you know you look at Israel today you've got the West Bank and Gaza you've got you know the West Bank is Samaria Judea and Samaria Gaza Strip down there by Egypt and you've got I don't know how many millions of Arabs and Palestinians and then you've got many Arabs that live in Israel proper and they're they're fully Israeli citizens my guess is it will be and this is like look this is the epicenter of global controversy it's not a coincidence I read a story once from this um guy he was it was a testimony of how he got saved and he was formerly had been in the hare krishnas so a Hindu cult you know you don't really see them too much anymore they were pretty big back in the 70s but he goes like he goes there's Hindu prophecies like Hindus have prophecies too and he says hint the locus the epicenter the the focus of Hindu prophecy is over there in India in Pakistan and this sort of thing he goes but as I started looking at the news it became clear that the epicenter of controversy is Israel this little piece of land why is the whole world focused on we need to finally settle this issue with Israel you know what I'm saying like that's like all all you have to do is have some discernment look out the world and go the geopolitical reality on the ground today confirms what the prophets were saying thousands of years ago this is where history culminates it's where all of Prophecy culminates is this little piece of land and it's all over this controversy between the Palestinians in the the Jewish people in this particular land that the Lord himself has promised um to to be the location from which Divine Rule and peace would extend to the Nations so people you know and you've got half of the church today again a lot of the reformed guys RC Sproul out of them they hold to something called replacement theology or supersessionism a lot of them say all prophecy has already happened back in 70 A.D very smart guys you could name a whole bunch of them and they say God's done with Israel he he used to deal with Israel but now the doors of the Gospel have been flung wide open now it's Universal Israel is no different than any other nation in the world and I go you know you guys are real smart and you know you make all of your arguments but if that's true Satan obviously has not received the memo do you see what I'm saying all you have to look and go then why is Satan so determined to wipe out the Jewish people if God's done with them why does Satan hate him so bad it doesn't take a tremendous amount of discernment to recognize now I think they're still at the epicenter of spiritual warfare in the earth so that's important for us to recognize perfect [Music] thank you
