What its Like Working at Subway

hey what's going on guys fish here not really a lot going on I'm kind of working on some videos kind of trying to I thought I'd make a work blog for you guys today work fee log - I can't talk it's 7:00 in the morning I haven't had any coffee or soda nothing like that yet I thought I might as well take you through the day and you know what I actually do want a daily basis but at 7:00 in the morning right now as you can clearly tell by that clock over there it's right there there you go so yeah I'm about to lock up the house and I'm about to you know head out the door all right guys I'm now at work that's all right so yeah let's see what we got to do all right it's here's the line it broke down the line so we gotta take care of that that on this on Chatta that's on ya two bulbs I know that help and now you gotta work on setting up our line and we've got a I got stuff for that and it's kind of a pain in the ass okay I think those metal tabs and then fill up that part there everything on that carts got to go in the lines yeah it's go ahead and do that halfway put together the issue that I always have with trying to set up the line and it's always just seems to be my issue is whenever I'm trying to put something on here these little tabs move over things fall down and if I already have like that entire row set up over there and something like that happens everything falls down just makes life living freaking Helen what's going on with this thing this thing's not wanting to act right making where it says I'll see in about seven minutes of that's working oh then after this is has a setup I'm gonna get to go ahead and start making bread and making cookies and yeah setting up my glorious line and missed something and it's not on the cart my thing I'm missing is mozzarella cheese which tells me they didn't make mozzarella cheese either that or we're out of mozzarella cheese so let me check down here let's see if we got mozzarella cheese down here in our backup cooler let's see here no we got meatball so you're shredded cheese that's hand back there nothing back there oh hey look there's some parmesan using good set the Parmesan cheese down alright so no we don't we don't got that stuff back there so let's let's go to the back here it's going here look back here oh hey look mozzarella cheese check my cheese's up here nothing up there roast beef bacon yeah all right so prep mozzarella cheese but it looks like yeah looks like I might have an easy morning this morning [ __ ] might I have to prep a lot of stuff that's great all right so we gotta make mozzarella cheese I want to make that here in a minute it's put on line take our that did it do-do-do-do-do-do and her cutting boards they go on the line hey go on all right now I want to make mozzarella cheese and then I'm gonna get Brad going and yeah mozzarella cheese is made goes right there on the line all right so let's come over here to the computer and oh hey look 7:30 and I can clock in that's why my do clock-in and then I got a they got stuff to do on the computer real quick here's how breads gonna work and I'll go through the process with you guys step by step I'll let you know it's loud in here so you can hear me good luck so this is our freezer our bread becomes frozen ok so it goes frozen then we got a it out at night for eight hours and this thing this thing is called the retarder that's where we [ __ ] the bread yeah I know really really funny hahahaha so now I gotta grab six trays of these and this thing up here and I'll show you guys when I would make an Italian urban scene so doing bread is pretty easy actually so gotta take her water water only get our bread nice and moist and then take it stick it in here roll it around a little bit put it back in the thingy it's really hard to do with one hand and that's how you get tying urban cheese once it's proofed in the proofer up there then we put the cheese topping on there I'll show you guys how that works how we do that and then how it goes into the oven well yeah I got to do that to about 29 more pieces of bread oh that's now done now I got to put that back up here in a minute but let's take this squeaky cart ah doesn't squeak thought I was gonna squeak I'm kind of guiding this thing we can kind of sucks I forgot that's in the way you know it [Music] but you know guys did it all right this thing goes into our proofer I need to add a little bit of water I love like the love bugs let's lift [Music] and now have agua and I put those in here fizz the bread guys will now have my list for cookies and my other paperwork for that POS up there is done and so now I'm gonna go over how to do cookies which I need to go back here so I need to do about half a pan of peanut 3 sugar 3 oatmeal so that's entirely one pan and then 6 mint chocolate chip and then one and a half chocolate that means I need a total of 3 pans so I'm gonna grab three of our cookie liners 3 pans to do to do now let's go get the cookies now and this is the thing that I love about Subway is that our cookies are cookie dough they're actual cookie dough guys that's that's what I like about our cookies so they're not like pre frozen like McDonald's where it takes two minutes to make cookies no no no no no it takes a lot longer than we do it kind of lay those out a little bit there take these put them out there there's our six for that so I don't need anymore peanut butter and I get to find out who will two bags of peanut butter cookies I'm supposed to have six mint I think I'm just gonna make four today cuz that's all I have in that bag put three sugar here and then I'm supposed to have pretty dope he'll get 300c bands and outdone get this oh hey I have five in here okay that'll work I keep oh my gosh it's still snow oh yeah that sucks now I get to grab my tray cookies and my other two trays right there we can put them in the oven they go straight from the freezer right into the oven and that's perfectly okay dude that one right there careful not to burn yourselves now close stay all right and you know that timer I said we're gonna mess with it and we're gonna put it at about eight and a half and go over here and we make sure that our temperature set to 325 degrees Fahrenheit because that's what you cook cookies at so now that that's done I have about ten minutes left before the store actually opens and I have to finish prepping the line so what I gotta do is these pans here and this pan here have to have full things like here and then I gotta set up all the utensils and anything else that I might need for the day so you put up here salad bowls and stuff are already up so I grabbed everything that I'm gonna need so and then I got all this stuff over here so we're gonna start by taking our utensils and this does not look like all of our utensils I said these are our utensils put them in the sides right there lift that up these put that one right there it's okay put this thing right here that allows us to measure our bread in case you know we have noobs which we don't have any noobs here at this location take these big pans when I'm gonna hot oh I forgot to turn on the hot water nan the line - that means a little bit more water as I go huh okay go ho oh hey look the longer stuff all right so now we got our water pour it in our hot well that's enough water now other people they'd like to fill this thing up to where freakin pants over bobbing up and down up and down everywhere but you know that's not that's not what the hot will is intention is to do the water doesn't have to be touching the bottom of the hot wheels you know it creates steam that's why we got the order in there is to create steam to actually rip it up and make the entire thing huh that's how it's supposed to work anyway then we got these these are our little disclosers for the lines go on they're kind of got a little bit of water go right in there is our extra space for our clock these are our bread knives green down there that's our meatball true to that here in a minute there's ice falling down out there and last week sauce bottles but these sauce bottles out and this thing top of the cambria like so that goes right there that goes right there right here and then boom my line is now officially set up and ready for the day you're doing some weird stuff but I don't know what you're doing whatever I don't care and I still got an entire four minutes until the store opens so what I'm gonna do during those four minutes is I'm going to fill up this bottom line with veggies and stuff that I have back in the freezer back there and then I'm gonna start making a list for the veggies and other prep than I need to almost eight o'clock it's almost time to open I've got my line cooler filled up down there the only thing I don't have down here is olives so I'm gonna have to make two backups of olives but I'll go over that here in a minute but it's time to open the store so I'm gonna take our ghetto block bar there and our other get a lock bar I'm gonna put this right there our subway has a drive-thru and it really freakin sucks so I got to grab that and I gotta grab our headset you gotta turn the thing on that's green I gotta put this on real quick so now I got the headset on and then we come over here we got to throw our breaker switches all these ones here in green and that turns on everything I now have lights in my store the open signs now turned on it is now officially 8 o'clock and then I get to come up here and get this thing open there we go [Music] now that's open and my store is officially open for business and I have my first issue of the day you fix yourself go ahead fix yourself I wish everything would just fix itself so anywho now that I have you know that taken care of and the store is now officially open I get to make my prep list so oh hey look that buzzer that means I get to check on my cookies see her cookies already yet they're now ready someone's gonna put this on for a little bit longer just enough for me to meet my prep listen but I can pull out some delicious cookies so I grab this I'm gonna put it on the clipboard deep Duke and I already know up there I need olives and then I need another backup of olives two olives my handwriting is absolutely horrible so now I get to come in here and let's see what I have I have another tomato so I don't have to make tomatoes today thank God no lettuce so let us back up one spinach back let's see here bananas halt females I don't worry about that I have a pickle so don't worry about me of that one bell pepper back up so I don't have to worry about that I need one onion back up and one cucumber back riding hard alright and then that's decided for my breakfast that's it's fricking easy alright let's see here roast beef bacon I have no tuna so I don't have to make it soon and this is a rotisserie so I don't have a stake back up I need to make one stake back up so that's four meats and oh [ __ ] I forgot to these truck they go to the truck thankfully I have more people coming in so no one here yet and check my other meats put you down here which I just have a ham so I need one pepperoni one salami to Turkey because that's what we need for our store and now my prep bus is done I'm gonna get started on that here in just a minute but I'm gonna wait on these cookies and these cookies looks like they might be done now ah my cookies are done now so now I got to put this thing on I gotta use actually scre it 325 degree cookies one-handed yeah yeah yeah shut up all right and then trade secret so yeah they're kind of round and fluffy now they flattened out that's how cookies appear bigger you flatten them out people think oh man that's a bigger cookie but this you're cheating the customer I don't care bread is nowhere near to being acceptable about 12 minutes and then I want to go ahead get started on prep list wait trade secrets in this video but you know I don't really care that goes there then we've got our things back here for jalapenos pickles let's hear those banana peppers and Alice all right [Music] and here's how I make this I sliced this bag open and then drain it in there yeah no no manliness gave me we have two escapees we got a bar this is there a slicer slices things including fingers if you're not careful so it is we just put one in here at a time and then I gotta hold this thing while I do it and then we slice that thing [Music] and they're just wrong against God shoot okay so but anyway onions are now done cucumbers are not done then I got to put them in those cambree OHS and then my prep will be almost done I started to make a stake in a tuna salmon steak and tuna but pretty much everything else is done oh so the best way that I've figured out to cut onions is to just don't get emotionally attached to them guys I mean come on they're just vitamins all right our bread our bread it's not done yet I definitely know that our cookies are probably cool enough to put away in the cookie case over there what's up will and look they're starting to get a little proof still probably needs about it good I'm gonna say 20 minutes yeah so we'll just put 20 minutes right there so we're officially the official time that they're supposed to be in here is 35 to 40 minutes but our proofer is kind of like a bad proofer so and it's hits I think this takes like 30 years old so you know it's it's not not in the best of shape but you know we make do with what we got guys that's that's all I can say is we definitely make do with what we get you know I still gotta do meatballs so yeah let's see here meatballs meatballs right now until someone else I'll make more meatballs later zero zero Oh officially labeled wrapped and now has a lid on it and now I gotta put stuff in there and then you know put the meat that I need up in the front area and as well as wait on customers if customers ever come in so yeah on our bread it's not big enough [Music] yeah that's not big enough yeah well you gotta give it just a little bit more time that's how tea goes I've already got the thing pulled through and I got my tea bag in there move that right there grab my little spout thing grab a sweet tea bag just one cuz we're only making a half thing and then I press B it's making our teeth and then afterward I got to add sweetener to it and then I have to do the unsweet our first batch of bread is now first and ready to go and I'll show you what we do - said bread I don't dare and this up here grab my shredded come over here grab a blow I take a little bit of cheese spreading it [Music] just like that and that's how you make the urban cheese and now I got to do that to see the rest of those and those put them in the oven so now all moves and so now close that out there and then we set it to almost like this about 10 minutes and make sure that this is set to 3 and yeah and then I got to go finish the tea over there and then I'm set on go all right so the tea is officially finishing up over there and my meatballs they're gonna go in here betcha I can do it one-handed live live live live meet buffoon [Music] all right meatballs are now done cookies and wait on bread and finish up team cookies are now put up and out of the way I think it's got about eight minutes left on that and our tea is ready for its nutrients and this might be a customer that was in our customer so the young sweetie gets this little packet and now some of you guys might be wondering why does he have sweet tea mean anything well this is unsweet tea infused with vitamin c b3 b5 b6 and b12 and that's what that little package for this also has the same thing except to have sugar so that's her these sweet tea we're going to put those in there and then stir them up they seen the uncie P divide this one in stir the unsweet first and then stare at sweet make sure you really get there alright that's officially stupid throw away our trash Sam we wait on bread and truck and Tennille because today I'm supposed to be here at 9:30 units 920 so far because then we've got truck we got to do I think I'm just gonna browse around on my phone till she gets here all right it is now time so you take out our friend this usually requires two steps one to grab it with this thing and then to grab it here they put it on the car thankfully I didn't burnt myself so let me go ahead and do that real quick all right so our first thing of bread is now officially done now I gotta wait on the second one this has to sit out for about 20-25 minutes for cooling cooldown period and yeah and I got about 15 minutes to wait on that and then I got that wait so for today I'll to show up what she's supposed to be here basically now but she already called and said she was running late so and then yeah I mean I'm already set on go all my stuff's already done and now I just have to wait on Neal truck and then Marion should show up or around 11 o'clock and we gotta do lunch rush I think jiggles supposed to be here at 1:00 let's go let's go check the schedule schedule schedule schedule focus Marion's supposed to be here at 11:00 Jiggs supposed to be here at 1:00 1:00 o'clock okay I meant until 9:30 and me I was already here at 7:00 Brandi's supposed to be 30 closes charities on flu is non-existent is low non-existent blue is not yay Tinnell sir oh that's okay yay Tennille sir oh that's okay you know what that means so not you're here right that means I can go to Valero and get an energy drink you want anything okay yeah what you want Red Bull sausage oh all right I catch it I get so today I'll just got here our trucks here now so now we got a new truck then I'll go to Valero and get us something so but now we gotta do truck first truck sucks doesn't doesn't truck suck yeah it does Sun sucks a lot so that's good I think we only have like 50 boxes or something today so yeah it's a truck guy don't go home yet oh yeah we got like fifty two boxes yeah it's okay I got this you just you just watch for customers I I'll start it's okay I'll do truck today it's okay truck is now done and I was almost defeated by heavy Boxton Sanel was too that's okay now we're gonna clean all this up and I'm gonna go go Valero and get us energy drinks and food because because why not huh just got back to working today on her phone no I'm kidding I'm kidding okay that's okay so I just got back from Valero the bellows like right down the street down there it's awesome I got vanilla Red Bull you got me nice I got a fast break because I [Music] got a lottery ticket gonna I'm gonna I'm gonna see if I want anything so unfortunately guys I didn't want anything on this so that was five dollars down the drain but you know sometimes you win sometimes you lose some that's okay so now me and Tina are done with truck and all we have to do is wait on Marian to get here and then we're gonna start our lunch rush and then we got dishes and Lobby and lying to clean up afterward after our lunch rush and then juegos supposed to be here some time he knows when he's gonna be here Marian making his version of coffee chocolate milk coffee don't get through lots of ice okay by the way I'm doing it be long today so say hi all right Abbi log today like a video log is going on my youtube channel so talk to my manager okay well it's a moving picture so some and I guess that words now I got a hey make some tuna before you know stuff starts and then we get I get busy so alright so right now the time is 140 there's no sign of jiggle-jiggle was supposed to be here I want to clap [Music] so he expects me to be on time yet he can't even be on time himself this is stupid so I'm done with dishes tinel's doing Lobby Marion's being Marion and yeah then I was 1c about name is on flex steel but apparently someone contacted me about my 4k monitor I have for sale so I'm gonna go sell that and if I still have time after that I'll do the Amazon flex run and then I've got to run my game exchange and pick up something for another video alright guys I'm back home and I'm officially greeted by kitty cat hey kitty kitty are you doing hi well well well what what you want anything is that what you want she's gonna follow me watching where'd you go oh she didn't follow me what'd you do like it again no see this and you see a so let's go do that I wish it would have filmed inside a game exchange sorry guys but I went to game exchange and after I sold the monitor because I was looking for a particular game since TV I bought a Dreamcast from TJ and there's only one game I wanted to play it and I found it and I'll time to get a pmu unit I'll show you guys who's the game when I get home which I'll be home here soon but yeah traffic whoo big reveal the game that I've been wanting for the Dreamcast that I found is none other than Star Wars Episode one racer that's the only reason why I wanted a Dreamcast and I had to pick up a VM you and so now I get to hook up the Dreamcast and see if it works and to give her that I love clothes all right guys moment of truth time probably hear that loud I'm not just sound I think that's a v1 there we go Dreamcast so what's up it's my understanding that this thing here is supposed to plug in to this thing right holy [ __ ] what the hell that's frickin dope yo see if there's
