imagine you're looking for a cave in minecraft you find this hole and then drop down to this well you can only imagine it because it will never happen to you this is an extremely rare occurrence in minecraft and so are all the other things in this video today i will be finding what the rarest thing in minecraft is and to be honest it's actually insane how rare this game can get but to find the rarest thing we will have to start with the stone block the chances of a stone block spawning is well 100 and it's the most common block in minecraft so i guess we can say that it would be our foundation for finding the rarest thing the skeleton horse it's that one horse that you find interesting and then boom it gets hit with lightning and jump scares you the chance of this happening is around only one to four percent and is a genuinely terrifying experience when you're in a hardcores next up i want you to imagine you're on a world record minecraft speedrunning pace and you can beat the world record as long as you get seven blaze rods in a row from the blazes you kill this might not seem that bad because the chances of getting one blaze rod is 50 and the chances of getting two in a row is 25 but the chances of getting seven in a row is around half of a percent so good luck with that world record speed run buddy the rarest biome in minecraft would probably be the modified jungle ed this biome only spawns when a jungle generates next to a swamp and that's why it's called the jungle edge but the reason it gets the modified is because of the game's random chance and it doesn't really change much about the biome other than the trees being smaller and slightly different ground however the modified jungle edge biome only covers around point zero zero zero zero one percent of a minecraft world or about a million this biome usually only covers around 10 to a couple hundred blocks so it's also one of the smallest biomes in minecraft it is by far the rarest biome in minecraft and out of all the biomes in the game the chances of this one spawning is around 1 in 370 thousand so if you end up spawning into one of these appreciate how rare it is because it will never happen to you again speaking of the smallest the baby chicken has a 1 in 8 chance of dropping from an egg when thrown however did you know it was possible for four baby chickens to come out of one egg yes it's possible and the chances of this are one in 4096 or .02 percent and if it's ever happened to you well nice lightning in minecraft isn't all that scary but it can be when it's super loud the chances of actually getting struck by lightning in real life is around one in five hundred thousand and i was surprised to learn that in minecraft it's actually not too far off for every single loaded chunk in the game lightning can strike into that chunk in every single tick or around point zero five seconds in game lightning has a one in one hundred thousand chance of striking at a certain block so one in one hundred thousand is the chance that lightning would strike you in minecraft this comes out to around .001 every tick so if you've been struck by lightning in minecraft be happy it hasn't happened in real life because it's only a couple hearts of damage in game now this is where things get kind of crazy in the odds of minecraft i want you to imagine again that you're a minecraft speedrunner and you are three eye offenders short to make the portal and ghost kill the dragon you see the portal can be generated with eye vendors already on it but the chances of an eye of ender generating onto the portal gets way bigger the more eyes that are on the portal for example the chances of one eye being on the portal is around 72 percent the chances of 2i spawning is about 34 and finally for you to complete that portal you would need the odds of 11 which isn't that bad but then for four eye vendors it drops all the way down to three percent in five eye vendors it is point four percent now this isn't anything crazy compared to the odds of stuff like four baby chickens or modified jungle edge however what about the odds of 12 eyes already being filled in when you spawn well the odds of that would be a jaw dropping 1 in 1 trillion or 1 times 10 to the power of negative 10. why don't we talk about veins of ores maybe in game you might have found a vein of three or four ancient debris maybe you've found a vein of 10 diamonds and maybe you've even found a vein of three emeralds or a bit more but what if i told you that someone didn't find a vein of three emeralds or five or even six but a vein of 14 emeralds this sounds absurd but it actually happened and the reason this is able to happen in the first place is because it spans over two different minecraft chunks you see a chunk in minecraft can contain a maximum of 11 emeralds but the reason this one is 14 emeralds is because it connects through two different chunks and it's called a super vein the chances of this randomly generating and the chances of finding this is beyond insane and this comes in at a whopping 1 in 20 quadrillion or 1 times 10 to the negative 15th power so the next time you find a vein of 14 emerald ore just remember how rare it is okay and maybe refer back to this video do you remember the weird formation of monster spawners at the start of this video well at the time you may not have known it but it is one of the rarest things in minecraft but before i tell you how rare it is i will explain how it works first the reason that this configuration of spawners generates naturally is because of a bug in minecraft's world generation when minecraft is generating a world it will normally just generate a mine shaft however in this case a buried treasure chest was also generated where the mine shaft was but the reason this is ultra rare is because the buried treasure chest generated on an exact bad lines biome poisoned spider spotter and since the game can't just let the spider spawner disappear it tries to generate it into a different block but ends up generating five pig spawners the reason these are pig spawners is because when a block gets destroyed the game doesn't remember what kind of spawner it was or what kind of block id data it has so it reverts to a pig spawner which is the default mob spotter the chest in the middle doesn't work at all and making it into a large chest keeps the same inventory space as a normal chest after considering formation like the exact placement of each block the formation of the rest of the mine shaft and much more the actual chances of this happening are 1 in 36 quadrillion after all of this there are still some things that will blow your mind and rarity imagine you load up a world in minecraft believe instantly because the spawn is bad or you just don't like the seed and then let's say a couple of hours later you load up another world to get a very very familiar spawn so you go back to the other world and realize that you got the exact same seed spawn twice if you didn't understand the absurd rarity of this you might blow it off as maybe a game glitch or a little lucky but there is no way that this is a little lucky in fact a minecraft world generation is so unbelievably complex and the amount of different seeds that are possible to generate makes this not even a little lucky but the most luck a human could face in their entire lifetime the reason this is so lucky is because there are a total of 18 quadrillion possible seed combinations in minecraft which means the odds of loading into the exact same minecraft world twice in a row would be 1 in 18 quadrillion making it the rarest thing in minecraft so far our next rare occurrence has to do with cacti in minecraft a cactus can be a maximum of three blocks tall wrong in minecraft cactus generation is random and cactus can actually generate on top of other cacti which in rare cases can bring up cacti that are six or more blocks tall but we can actually go higher cacti that's stacked to be four or more blocks could also generate on other cacti and the reason they are able to is because if a cacti is on the edge of a chunk other cacti can cross chunks to generate onto the original one a group of people searched through trillions of seeds and ended up finding a 13 block tall cactus and the chance of this is this which is just absolutely nuts however that's not the tallest cactus they found someone ended up finding this cactus and it is the tallest cactus ever found at 22 blocks and the chances of finding this are insane because they had to scan trillions of worlds for a tall cactus now i can't get the exact percentage on this but trust me it is unbelievably high and may just be one of the rarest things in the game so if you have any input on this please let me know i would love to know the actual percentage on this now you're probably wondering what in the world could be rarer than a cactus that is 22 blocks tall well something even more absurd is the final rarest thing in minecraft is the baby zombie chicken jockey leader with an iron sword and armor that are enchanted to the rarest or the max that a mob like this can acquire in vanilla minecraft and i'm gonna call him bob to spawn bob you pretty much have to use a command because finding bob without one is so incredibly rare that i can guarantee no one has ever found it the rarity for this mob takes into account the rarest possible time and setting that the player would be in for this mob to spawn for example when it is october 31st in real life or your computer calendar is set to that date the mobs in minecraft have a chance of spawning with a carved pumpkin on their head now this makes it so the chance for the diamond helmet to spawn on bob's head would be lower because it's more common for the carved pumpkin to spawn so little things like this were all taken into account when naming bob as the rarest mob the difficulty has to be in normal mode because it would be more common for him to spawn in hard mode and bob needs to spawn on a slime chunk under a desert under layer 40 with a light level less than 7. there are other specific conditions that i won't get into because i couldn't explain them as well as the guy who did the math so i will be putting the link to his post in the description because it's very fascinating to read and finally what you've all been waiting for the final odds of finding this mob according to the math is this number now this number is incredibly small and this is in scientific notation 4.3797 times 10 to the negative 75th power now let me put some things into perspective as usual first of all this number is so small that it has 75 zeros in front of it before it hits 43794 and that makes it have 57 more zeros than the odds for getting a world twice in a row that doesn't sound like much but think about having the number one million and adding three zeros to it that makes it a billion and obviously a billion is unfathomably bigger than a million now imagine adding 64 zeros to a billion that is how unimaginably rare bob is also quick fact according to g nico's math to find this mob it would take not a hundred years not a thousand years but just a bit over six and a half quadrillion years to find this mob in perfect conditions and that is why without a doubt and without any competition this makes bob the rarest possible thing in minecraft you want to know what doesn't take 6 quadrillion years subscribing in fact it only takes 2
