What is the best level in Geometry Dash?
Over time, there's been tons of levels with crazy effects and interesting designs
that no one could have thought possible... If we examined enough of these, who
knows? Maybe we might find our answer. So, let's do some research and see if we can finally
come up with an answer to this age-old question. If there's something that's interesting,
it's these bossfights. These days our bosses look far more impressive. XenderGame
has changed everything with his bossfight series that progressively gets more detailed
and more stylish. HHyper also makes incredible bossfights that may lag if you don't own a super
computer but they still looks great to watch.
Look at this level. It was made with just 1,000 objects. I have a hard time making
layouts with this little objects. This level only uses 100 objects and the optimization for each
object is very impressive. ...Can't really say the same about Khorne. This thing has one million
objects. Doesn't make it the best, not even close.
The longest rated level in Geometry Dash history is Alkatraz’s Hypnotic Travel, which
is around 9 and a half minutes long, however far longer levels have been verified. Infinite Travel
is a 36 minute level. Values Of Life is a 48 minute level. However, none of this tops Krmal
who beat a level that's 2 hours long. Now, if you thought that was long, look at Timeless. This
thing takes like, 60 years to beat or something? I don't know, it's some weird coding stuff. As
you can tell, quantity is not always quality. This is what Geometry Dash's level editor
looked like in the 1.0 update. Surely nothing crazy can be made with it. Wait, what? This is
F3hcs, a level entirely made by 1.0 objects. Sadly, the lack and limits of block variety
keep it from being a top contender. The 1.9 editor has also been a testing ground
for some pretty impressive projects. While Death Moon and ROTD were some
of the best levels in the past, i'd say that they've been trumped
by Freedom19. Despite the limits, this level looks better than
the majority of modern levels. This is Vermillion's part in Bloodbath in 2015.
Now, this is the part remade in the 2017 level, Bloodlust. And this is what the part looks
like today, remade by Culuc in the modern Apocalyptic Trilogy. This level does have
potential, however it is still not out.
Meanwhile, Sonic Wave has more babies than Genghis Khan. Look at this shit,
it's got a shitty version, this rebirth thing, this awful thing, this level one thing, this
generic thing, a lot of other things! Uhm, yeah. There's a lot of these, but my favourite
HAS to be Sonic Wave Infinity, which is still not the best level in Geometry Dash.
Hm, maybe we gotta explore some levels that REALLY try something different.
Stuff that should not even be possible. Well, have i got the series for you. This
is the AlterGame series, there's a ton of different games, and they all tend to be pretty
entertaining. But i have to say, if there is one level in the game series that would have to be
my favourite of all time, it would be MasterGame. This is an entire RPG in Geometry Dash. It
uses a four-direction square control scheme. This passcode system checks the numbers
entered into each digit, and toggles on different groups for each correct digit. For
most people, it would just be used to teleport you to where you last left off, but for me, i'm
just gonna look at this code here and input it, just so i can beat the bossfight for a pretty
free demon. ...I can't say i feel good about that. What if I told you that you can play chess in Geometry Dash? Well, if
you didn't know, now you do. That's cool and all, but have you
played Geometry Dash in Geometry Dash? This level is crazy. You can beat this gauntlet,
beat other levels, make your own levels inside of a level, and you can destroy the peasantry.
Should this game really be two dollars? In terms of Geometry Dash art, we’ve gone
from this the first ever monster design to this. (Oh wait, wrong level), to this. GD art
can be extremely impressive, as you can tell.
At one point, Demon Park was the hardest level to EVER be beaten. It was so difficult that
it inspired a new difficulty, and these days, rather then having to jump over the occasional
triple spike to beat the new number one level, you have to do this, this and this. The progression of
difficulty in GD is truly mindblowing. Although, just because your level is the hardest
level, doesn't mean it's the best level.
If there's art, there's gotta be animation. We’ve gone from these subpar cube animation
thingies, to INSANELY detailed masterpieces like GD Legends Finale by OmegaFalcon.
No way he lands the OmegaFalcon punch! In Creator Vs Animation, this rebellious
stickman guy completely OWNS the creator of the level. The stickman just Viprins himself
into an uncontrollable enemny, and finally, after taking a bunch of L's, the creator has to delete
the entire level. This image truly hits hard. However, even these levels are still not the best.
Out of every single creator in Geometry Dash, none have managed to impress me more than Spu7nix. He's made the craziest thing imaginable.
Tianxia is an animation that uses triangles, and Xolis is an animation that utilizes circles.
But with the bot otherwise known as the PyAutoGUI program, he was able to run a script to move
his mouse and make these levels automatically. You heard that right, a computer making Geometry
Dash levels. Since then, Spu7nix has made several 3D animations. Name a cuter Clubstep monster
than this one. See what i mean? You can't! So, Geometry Dash can truly be an art form.
But can it run DOOM? Looks like this is anpther question for Spu7nix. In Dim, Spu7nix simulated
a three-dimensional level through the classic tactic of ray-tracing. A ton of collision blocks
and some bot assistants later, and Dim now exists. It's a landmark of Geometry Dash Achievement.
And it somehow still falls short of HOW. Now, there are so many complicated techniques that
Spu7nix used to make this thing, that I'd have to get a computer science degree to even begin to
understand all the intricacies and complexities of this level. Let's just move on to Spu7nix’s most
recent level where he created a coding language in Geometry Dash. Now, it's kind of barebones
but it's still pretty impressive for a GD level. 2.2 is coming soon, and there's been some pretty
interesting levels released to the 2.2 GDPS. Snowy day is a level where you have to
use a sword to completely own this boss. The castle is an extremely interesting
level. You'd think there isn't much to it, but don't stand there too long, if you do, it
becomes a nightmare. Yeah, the enemies that you faced in this level up to this point aren't too
tough, but this guy? Well, it's a lot tougher. Now, 2.2 is interesting and all, but
none of these levels are the best, so what could possibly be the greatest
level in Geometry Dash history? Well, i believe i've narrowed it
down to four signature levels. In Espionage, you gotta take down this guy
who took your special sugar. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) The gameplay is somewhat fun, but it can be boring
and uninspired. This is unlike the decoration which is amazing! The environment is great,
the changes in scenery are great, and these interesting picture frames.. are great. What
really sells this level's score is how it raises the bar for sync. I've never heard sound effects
used in a literal GD level before, and it was jaw-dropping at first. Overall, an amazing level.
Sky Tower just about outscores Espionage with really good gameplay, until the last drop.
Extremely nice decoration that not only fits with the mood of the song, but is also colorful
and very well made. This monster is cool, this last bit is cool apart from the gameplay.
Sync is amazing throughout and overall, very nice. CastleMania is an open-world Geometry Dash level.
While some of the routes aren't the MOST fun to play through, going into this level blind was
a blast. I've never had this much fun exploring a Geometry Dash level before, and CastleMania
gave me a special experience i'll never forget. Finding all the secrets of this layer was pretty
cool, especially because the decoration and sync tended to be great. Now, i feel like my score
will inevitably not give this level justice, because it's just an average of everything
that's included in the level. The thing is, this is many levels in one, so, uh, not
actually sure how i should score this. I'll just do what i've always done.
Now, the only fully created and finished level that could be better than CastleMania in
my opinion, is White Space, which is unreleased. The decoration tells a heartbreaking story of
a car crash and how this guy is coping with the loss of his friend. Everything about this level
is pretty much perfect, aside from the gameplay. It's uninspired, kind of rushed, and doesn't look
very fun to play through. Anyway, when this level comes out, my opinion of the gameplay might
be changed depending on how long i played it, but for now, i'll just give CastleMania the edge
as the greatest level in Geometry Dash history. But the GD community keeps improving,
and things won't be this way forever. Who knows? We may not even have to wait for
2.2 to see a level that can best CastleMania...
