how's it going everyone cup of science Joe here today I want to talk a little bit about Stellar nurseries a stellar Nursery is a region in space that is packed densely enough with dust and gas that star formation can occur there it is also known as an interstellar medium over long periods of time the elements within the gas and dust and the gas and dust itself will begin to Clump up when one of these clumps reach critical mass and collapses under its own gravity it begins to form a star sometimes known as a Proto star the elephant's trunk nebula shown here is an example of a stellar Nursery I hope you've learned something and I implore you to step outside tonight and look towards the Stars
