Everyone knows that bounties are the most
common way to quickly judge a pirate’s strength in one piece. And right now, Luffy’s bounty is at an impressive
3 billion berries, BUT WE ALL KNOW that the World Government is massively undervaluing
his true threat level, because he is the only person alive capable of burning down their
entire organization. So what if the government had been actually
smart and instead of these measly 3 billion berries, had decided to give him a bounty
so stupidly massive that EVERY SINGLE Marine, Bounty-hunter and PIRATE in the world would
have no other choice but come for Luffy’s head? What if Luffy had the unimaginable bounty
of 100 Billion Berries? And this adventure begins with Luffy already
making serious waves in the Grand Line. After he defeated the warlord Crocodile in
Alabasta, the world government issued him a 100 million berry bounty And this was a
game changer because it was the very first time that Luffy had truly ruffled the government’s
feathers. You see, the world government had to cover
up that one of their own government backed warlords basically caused a giant civil war. So at this point Luffy has the government’s
attention, which is why he reached his first nine digit bounty. However, this dumpster fire of problems only
burns brighter after the chaos of Enies Lobby, where Luffy not only declared war on the world
government, but also defeated this group of secret agents and basically trashed the Judiciary
island. And now this is where our version of the story
is going to change. I mean, the world government originally only
moved Luffy up to 300 million, but I mean seriously? That’s it? This man just basically came into your home,
beat you down AND stole your girl and that’s ALL that you are going to do to him? Surely, not? Plus Luffy was ever so close to finding out
what is really down in this massive hole beneath Enies Lobby, so let’s imagine the government
has had enough of Luffy and decided to slap TRULY MASSIVE 5. BILLION. BERRY bounty on his head. Which is a truly historic number which is going to
completely change the Straw Hats journey after the escape from Enies Lobby. That’s because we have only ever seen two
bounties cross the 5 billion berry mark – those being Roger and Whitebeard – but those two
were so insanely overpowered that they were basically untouchable. No random pirate was coming after their heads. But Luffy is not even close to their level. At this point he doesn’t even know haki,
so he’s essentially a sitting duck, waiting to be taken to the world government for a
nice holiday meal. I mean, even Nami might seriously consider
betraying Luffy for that stupid amount of money. Because of this insane new bounty, their journey
from Post-Enies Lobby to Sabaody is going to be way more chaotic. That’s because they will be chased by every
pirate, marine, and bounty hunter who knows that they are in the area. Perhaps they would even encounter this emperor
of the underworld, Peclo, who might be tempted to show his creepy clown mask to come after
the straw hats. But with the straw hats' new ship and their
genius navigator, I still think the straw hats will make it through and eventually end
up on Thriller Bark just like in the original story. Who knows, the straw hats may even think this
zombie filled island is a vacation after being chased non-stop. But I don’t think much will change here,
so the straw hats defeat this shadowy onion man and head off to Sabaody. However, they are instantly met with dozens
of greedy pirates waiting for the straw hats once they leave. Which means that they don’t get any time
to rest or recover, which is especially bad for Zoro who is basically on the brink of
death. So because of this, it is possible that the
straw hats don’t even make it to Sabaody, especially if a strong pirate crew came after
Luffy’s bounty. But we can’t end the story here, so one
option is they just keep tons of cola on the ship so they can fly away whenever they are
in danger. Or another very logical possibility is that
the Dark King, Rayleigh, would actually come out to meet the straw hats and guide them
to the island. Certainly, the former pirate king’s right
hand man would be strong enough to get them through because he is still a top-tier fighter
who can even frighten Yonkos and Admirals. Now before we go any further, you might be
asking why would Rayleigh go to so much trouble to help the straw hats? Well, in chapter 506 we learned that Rayleigh
had actually spoken with Shanks about Luffy sometime in the past. And while this is never confirmed, I’ve
always thought there might have been a plan for the former Roger pirates to help Luffy
when he eventually started his journey to be pirate king. So if Rayleigh saw such a massive bounty for
Luffy, I definitely think he would recognize the danger Luffy would be in and do all that
he could to make sure Luffy’s journey wasn’t cut short. But how long will Rayleigh’s strength keep
them safe? Keep watching to find out. Despite how much we want more of him in the
story, Rayleigh cannot babysit them forever, because he will eventually need to coat the
Straw Hat’s ship so they can go underwater. But before they separate, Rayleigh makes a
vivre card for Luffy, so that he can keep track of the straw hat captain. But during this time, I still think Luffy
would find his way into trouble. Maybe he randomly comes across a world nobel
just like Zoro did. Or he is being chased by pirates trying to
capture him and he punches a world noble who gets in his way. Either way, it is basically guaranteed that
Luffy would find some way to attack the despicable world nobles. And the rest of Sabaody would play out basically
the same. The marine admiral Kizaru and the cyborg Pacifistas
still come and attack the island, meaning the straw hats stand no chance of survival
until they are sent flying all across the world by this guy. So, at this pivotal moment the straw hat journey
has been mostly the same, except Luffy’s bounty has sky-rocketed to a jaw-dropping
5 billion berries. Which means they were chased every single
step of the way after leaving Enies Lobby. But so far they’ve survived with a little
luck and powerful friends. However, all that is about to change. Now, we know it took about a day or two day
for Luffy to fly all the way to Amazon Lily, so in this time the world government will
surely react to the events on Sabaody. Not only did Luffy commit the single worst
crime by attacking a world noble, he also escaped capture AGAIN. So combine all these things with the World
Government’s fears about the true nature of Luffy’s devil fruit, and I definitely
think at this point they would take absolutely no chances and slap him with this mind-boggling
bounty. That’s ONE. HUNDRED. Billion. Billion… with a B. And to understand just how insane this bounty
is, let’s break down what this number actually means. So let’s say you’ve somehow captured Luffy
and turned him into the world government. And you’ve just been delivered this massive
stack of cash and treasure. Well, in the one piece world what would you
be able to buy with all this money? We know that a new ship costs a minimum of
300 million berries, so with 100 billion you could buy 333 top class ships to basically
have your own world conquering navy. But that’s not even the craziest comparison
because from chapter 766 we know that the world government was willing to pay 5 billion
berries for the Ope Ope no mi, which some consider to be the most valuable devil fruit
in the world because it allows the user to perform the immortality surgery. So with 100 billion berries you could probably
buy at least 20 super overpowered devil fruits from anyone willing to sell them. But if devil fruits aren’t your style, you
could even become king of your own empire, because we know that Doflamingo once stated
that he would sell the kingdom of Dressrosa for a staggering 10 billion berries. So with your fat stack of cash, you can buy
your own set of kingdoms. Now that’s all good and well in the One
Piece world, but you might be thinking, Manu what could I actually buy in the real world? Well, to put this into context, berries are
usually assumed to be equal to the Japanese yen. So that means this would be 100 billion yen. That’s about the same as all of these. So what could you buy with all of this money? This much would get you 700 million bags of
MnM’s, two million Nintendo switch consoles, or even let you buy the world’s most expensive
luxury airplane plus your own private island. Alright, who’s lining up to capture Luffy? Anyone want to team up? However, chasing after Luffy now might actually
not be the smartest idea if you are a weak pirate. And that’s because with such an insanely
high bounty, Luffy is undoubtedly now the most famous pirate in the world. And with this instant fame and a huge reward
for his head, he is going to attract the attention of some of the most dangerous people in the
world, who will certainly by making their own appearances later on in this video. But now Luffy crashlands on the island of
women and is nearly killed by these deadly mushrooms. And at this point, the women wouldn’t know
who Luffy is because they don’t have any real contact with the outside world. However, that all changes when the pirate
empress herself arrives on the island. And once Hancock recognizes that the most
wanted man in the world has shown up on her island, I definitely think she would try to
capture him and tell the World Government to come pick him up. And why would she do that? Well, maybe she thinks she can trade him to
true independence for her island. After all that’s why she became a warlord
in the first place so that the World Government would leave her island alone. Which means Luffy is in serious danger. But that all changes once she falls madly
in love with the honorable straw hat captain. But how this happens would probably have to
play out differently than in the original story. Maybe Luffy shows his bravery and kindness
by fighting off pirates coming to ransack the island or something else, but for now
let’s just assume that Hancock still falls in love with him. And the lovestruck pirate empress immediately
realizes just how dangerous this situation has become. Because somehow the information that Luffy
is on her island has leaked from the World Government. Which means tons of strong fighters are coming
to claim Luffy’s head. At this point, I’m thinking Kizaru would
try to redeem his failure at Sabaody by capturing Luffy. But we can also include strong fighters from
the Yonko’s crew such as King from the Beast Pirates since he can fly over the calm belt. And we can even give a job to someone like
Katakuri from Big Mom’s crew, since Oda never did it in the manga. And both of these Yonko would have reasons
to want the bounty. Kaido to pay for his operation making artificial
devil fruits and Big Mom to fund her research into making people into giants. With all of these incredibly strong fighters
coming to capture Luffy, the island of women is in serious danger. Luffy certainly isn’t strong enough yet
to fight these top-tier fighters, and while Boa might possibly be on the level of Yonko
Commander, she can’t take them all on herself. So instead of keeping Luffy on the island,
they sneak him out during the night and let everyone know that someone already came and
kidnapped Luffy. But this still leaves one massive problem
for Luffy. But with the way things are now, the story
absolutely cannot continue as it did originally. At this point in the story, Hancock snuck
Luffy into Impel Down so that he could rescue Ace. And while I think Luffy would still want to
do that, there are some changes here that are going to prevent that from happening. First, Hancock is already off of her island,
so she would basically have already ignored the summons to come to Marineford for the
execution. It is extremely unlikely that she could now
just show up to a government ship and demand to go to Impel Down. So that whole part of the story is now out
of the question. Plus, since Rayleigh made a vivre card for
Luffy, let’s assume the Dark King finds Luffy and basically forces him to not recklessly
rush into Impel Down. And it’s incredibly fortunate for Luffy
that Rayleigh tracks him down, because despite their attempts to be sneaky, I feel like someone
strong and with incredible haki like Katakuri would probably be able to find them. So with the one billion berry Yonko Commander
on their tail, they would need Rayleigh’s incredible strength and experience to keep
the donut man from claiming Luffy’s bounty. But after they survive that encounter, they
come up with another plan to rescue Ace. Because even though it would definitely be
safe for Luffy just to stay out of the Summit war, there is absolutely no way Luffy wouldn’t
try to save his brother. So after some sneaky transponder snail calls,
the Kuja ship sails towards Marineford. And at this point I think the Straw Hats would
all want to regroup with Luffy. Unfortunately, they probably wouldn’t make
it in time for the execution because they were literally sent all around the world while
Luffy already isn’t too far from Marineford. Now let’s dive straight into the marine’s
main base, where the 100 billion berry Luffy is going to completely change this legendary
battle. They arrive with the fighting already begun. The strongest man in the world, Whitebeard,
is here to save his beloved crew mate, Ace, before the world government can execute him. Luffy jumps into the battle with his allies
at his side. And his arrival immediately shifts the attention
of nearly everyone at the battle. He is basically one of the most recognizable
pirates in the world at this point, so while Whitebeard’s allies are making their push
for Ace, a good chunk of marines, and even Warlords like Doflamingo and Mihawk turn their
attention to Luffy. What’s even more insane is that the world
government was listening in on all those secret messages sent by Rayleigh, so they fully expected
Luffy to show up. And here to capture him are these secret agents
– who have been reinstated specifically to catch Luffy. Also I think even CP0 might be here with the
specific goal of capturing Luffy. And remember that this is all before Luffy
has learned haki so these are still incredibly difficult opponents for him to face. However, none of these masked fighters are
going to have a chance of capturing Luffy because of who shows up next. That’s because the one Rayleigh was sending
those messages to was none other than Shanks. And this time, he’s not late to the party. Instead, the strongest pirate crew in the
world is here to support Luffy basically right from the start. Before we go any further, it is important
to remember Shanks true intentions when he came to Marineford in the original story. He basically just wanted to stop the bloodshed
and was willing to take on anyone who still wanted to fight. So it’s not like Shanks would come and basically
win the war to rescue Ace. All he is really trying to do is to protect
Luffy. But of course, Luffy doesn’t spare much
time for his long awaited reunion, and instead goes straight to rescue his brother. Though you won’t believe who is tailing
Shanks like a stray cat looking for some love. That is if the cat was a giant, fiery dragon,
of course. That’s right, because in chapter 533 we
learned that Shanks stopped Kaido from coming to Marineford, but if Shanks is here then
might as well roll out the red carpet for this battle-hungry beast. Which means this truly is becoming an all
out clash between the world’s strongest powers with Luffy’s 100 billion berry head
at the center. But what is Kaido even doing here in the first
place? Well, originally we were told that he wanted
to come to Marineford to kill Whitebeard, so he could go after the earthquake man himself,
or he could take advantage of the chaos to try to kill Luffy and collect that massive
bounty. Although, at this point with all the marines
and government agents here, I’m not sure the world government is going to be paying
any bounties to pirates who are literally destroying Marine HQ. Whatever Kaido’s motivations are, his presence
makes rescuing Ace nearly impossible for Luffy. Because surely this would bring Garp and Sengoku
into the battle. And if Kaido is targeting Luffy, then Shanks
would surely have his hands full fighting the world’s strongest creature. And with Shanks occupied, that leaves more
strong opponents who could come after the 100 Billion berry man, and wow my brain is
racing too fast to even think of all the ways this could go. One option Mihawk could take on Kaido, since
Mihawk refused to fight against Shanks originally. Or another possibility that I can see is Shanks
could eventually convince Kaido to stop going after Luffy. After all, we know that Kaido has an intense
interest in Joy Boy, so maybe Shanks could hint to Kaido that Luffy is destined to become
Joy Boy. So if Kaido wants to face the real Joy Boy
in the future, he had better let Luffy live for now. But even if the oni agreed, that doesn’t
mean Kaido would simply leave. He might change his target and go after Whitebeard
or maybe just destroy the entire island with his insane elemental powers. Because, let’s be honest, he wants to destroy
the world anyway. And in all of this insanity, Blackbeard had
really better think hard about joining the battle. In the original Marineford, he snuck in to
kill Whitebeard while all of the other top-tiers were either distracted or weakened. But that would not be the case this time,
and he would have a much harder time killing Whitebeard to take his fruit, especially because
he didn’t even want to fight Shanks in the first place. With all of these crazy conflicts, we have
to ask how would it actually end? Well, there’s certainly a possibility that
all the chaos and the focus on Luffy will allow Whitebeard to free Ace earlier. On the other hand, the world government could
just order them to kill Ace right at the start and then give all of their attention to capture
Luffy. But somehow this battle must end. Maybe Ace dies and Shanks or Rayleigh force
Luffy to retreat. Or another option is that all of the destructive
powers clashing literally breaks the island, and the marine headquarters starts to collapse
into the sea. This means everyone is forced to escape. So I’d imagine that at the end, Ace would
still have died. And probably Whitebeard too, since he had
a heart attack during the original battle. Then what happens to our 100 billion berry
man? Well, with Ace dead, he would still be at
the lowest point in his entire life. However, Shanks and Rayleigh would be there
to guide him to the next steps of his journey. Of course Luffy would learn his haki just
like he did during the time skip, but I also think Shanks could personally train him to
help him get even stronger. The Red Hair Captain might also tell him about
the true nature of his devil fruit – assuming of course that Shanks knows this in the first
place. These two would have to do this because before
Luffy sets out on the next part of his adventure, he would need to be way stronger than he was
entering the New World after the time skip. So even if he doesn’t awaken Gear 5, having
some idea about his true powers could help it unlock it faster and be better prepared
for all of the strong pirates who will undoubtedly come after his insane bounty. And when they do enter the new world, the
entire crew better be ready for the challenges ahead. That means Zoro fans everywhere will probably
get to see more of the green haired swordsman truly challenged as the straw hats try to
conquer the New World. However, the crew would probably never even
have made it to the grand line without Zoro, and if you want to know just how far the crew
would have gotten without him, you can watch this video right here. Shanks for watching and I’ll see you in
the next one.
