Hey guys! Now, some of you asked me this question. Daniel, What is the unforgivable sin? I don't fully understand it, and I'm afraid that I've committed it. So, what is this, Unforgivable sin, Exactly? And how is it possible since the Bible clearly says that God forgives all our sins? Is it not contradicting itself? Well, No, it's not. And I'll explain it to you when we get into the video. Now, just very quick. If it's your first time here on my channel, I'm Daniel Maritz, and welcome to DLM Christian lifestyle. Well, Jesus says In Matthew 12:31, "Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men. but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. anyone who speaks a word against the Son of man, It will be forgiven him: But whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit It will not be forgiven him. Either in this age or in the age to come." Now Some people just read this verse on its own, and then they don't fully understand it. You need to read it in its context to fully understand it. You guys know I'm always saying this to you. To fully understand a certain verse You need to read it in its context. So in other words, who is Jesus talking to here, and why is He saying this to them? Well, let's read it. Let's go a little bit back. Let's go to verse 22 "Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute, and He healed him so, that the blind and the mute man both spoke and saw. And all the multitudes were amazed and said, "could this be the son of David?" Meaning the Messiah that was prophesized Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, "This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons" But Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them: "Every Kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, And every city or house divided against itself will not stand." If Satan cast out Satan, He is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore, they shall be your judges. But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. Or how can one enter a strong Mans house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds this strong man? And then he will plunder his house." Now. Listen to this very carefully. "He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with me scatters abroad. Therefore I say to you. Every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men. But the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word Against the Son of man. It will be forgiven him But whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him." All right, so it's very clear That Jesus It was not speaking to believers, but to the Pharisees who did not want to believe in Jesus Christ as the Messiah. We read the same in Mark 3:29-30 and also in Luke 12:10. Now, you need to understand that the Pharisees they saw with their own eyes the truth of Jesus. The miracles he did. That he was the Messiah, and they still rejected him and even worse. They told him that his power is not from God, But from the devil. The opposite. So in this context, Jesus is talking about the sin of unbelief Which we already know, It kind of makes sense. Because if you don't believe in Jesus Christ, then you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. So you can't be forgiven that. That's why you can't enter the kingdom of God. But also the unforgivable sin, is more than that. There's three important things that you need to know here. It includes number one. A clear knowledge of who Jesus is, and of the Holy Spirit's power that works through him. Number two An intentional rejection of the true facts about Jesus Christ That the Pharisees knew. And number three, Falsely saying that the miracles and work of the Holy Spirit In Jesus is of the devil. So It shows us the hardness of their hearts. Because the Pharisees knew who Jesus was. They saw the miracles. The glory of Jesus They saw it firsthand with their own eyes, and they willfully rejected it. So any more persuasion of the truth would not work with them, because their hearts are so hard already, and this also, Fits in with Hebrews 6:4-6. "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened and have tasted The heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, Since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God. So the kind of people that Jesus is talking about here, are not those who Doubt the facts and truth about Jesus Christ. For those who know it. Heard about it, know it to be true, and then still decide to willfully reject it. So in other words, They themselves willfully walk away from Jesus, and that is unforgivable. So if you fear, or worry that you committed the unforgivable sin It's very likely that you did not. Because, If you did it, you would not worry about it. Just the fact that you're worrying about it shows that you actually care, and that you want to be a Christian. A true Christian. But we know that Jesus, He's talking about unbelievers here. Whose hearts are very, very hard So, if you committed any sins against God, just ask Him for forgiveness and He will forgive you. 1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful And just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Focus on growing spiritually in Christ , stronger every day, until It is your last day here on earth. .....so let us lay aside every weight, and the sin, which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us; Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross despising The shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God Now remember. God loves you, and I love you, too. Bye! [Music starts playing] [Music ends]
