Hey guys! Today I'm gonna do a video request Kobus Morris asked me and said: "Daniel, what are we gonna do in Heaven one day? Are we just gonna sing and praise the whole time for all eternity?" (Chuckles) Well, we are gonna sing, we are gonna praise, that's one of the things... But, there's a lot more things that we're gonna do in Heaven that's gonna surprise a lot of you. So thank you, Kobus, for the video requests, and to answer you in this video, I'm gonna talk about nine things that we're gonna do in Heaven. Let's get to it... Now just very quick, if it's your first time here on my channel; I'm Daniel, and welcome to DLM Christian Lifestyle. Subscribe and also click that notification bell, and then you won't miss any of the next videos. Now, let's start with this list of 9 interesting things that you need to know about Heaven. Let's start with the first one: 1. There will be work to do, so you won't be bored; there will be things for you to do. But remember, it's not gonna be the same kind of work as we do here in Earth - we're not gonna feel the same... because, the work here on Earth is the result of Adam's sin; so his curse... and then the new Heaven and the new Earth will be a place of perfect peace and rest. Revelation 14:13 says: "Then I heard a voice from Heaven saying to me: "Write: 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.'" "Yes," says the Spirit, "that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them."" So, we will rest from our labors. So Heaven is not gonna be a boring place, because there's gonna be a lot of things that will keep us busy for all eternity and one of them, is that God will have work for us, that we will enjoy. That's the difference. Revelation 22:3 says: "And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him." So we're gonna serve God. But remember, we're not gonna get tired, it's not the same as it is right now. Now the Bible doesn't tell us exactly what we will do, but, it won't be a burden; it will only be joy for all eternity. 2. If you're gonna go to Heaven, you're gonna think differently than you do now. We read in Corinthians... 1 Corinthians 13:12, "For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face." Remember, at that time, a mirror was not as clear as the mirrors we have today. So, "For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known." Now, it's important to know, that it doesn't mean that we will know everything, because only God knows everything. The Greek word here is, 'Epiginosko', the prefix, 'Epi', intensifies the word to mean: "to really know", or , "to know extensively"- And whenever this word is used for humans in the Bible, it never means to know everything. It never means absolute knowledge, because that's only for God. The point here, is that you will think differently, and all the questions you had before of: "God, why did this happen?" "God, why did that happen?" "Why did my brother die?" 'Why did my dad die?" All of these questions will be answered to you one day. But the point here, is that you will understand things more clearly, and with that new perspective, you will live in the new Heaven and the new Earth. 3. With the new Heaven and with the new Earth we're gonna live in houses. In Isaiah 65:21 we read: "They shall build houses and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit." Wow, imagine how that fruit is gonna taste like... But yeah, it says that, "They shall build houses and inhabit them; ..." So, it sounds interesting, because it's similar to what we have right now; We live in houses, but this will be in the new Heaven, the new Earth... so imagine... Imagine how that's gonna look like, how it's gonna be like; living in this new, amazing, perfect world; In a house and you got a vineyard and you taste the fruit... Wow... (Chuckles..) Wow... Jesus also says in John 14:2, "In My Father's house are many mansions; ..." Now just very quick: this mansions, correctly translated is 'dwellings'... So, this is the New King James Version, but also in the NIV, (the New International Version), it talks about, "My Father's house has many rooms", not 'mansions'... But anyway, let me continue here: "If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; That where I am, there you may be also." This is pretty amazing, I'm getting very very excited! 4. We will see each other in Heaven again; You'll be reunited with loved ones; if they loved the Lord, if they served Him, if they were reborn Christians, and if you are - then you will see them again in Heaven after this temporary Earth. Paul also wrote to believers - they were grieving after they lost a loved one. In 1 Thessalonians 4:16 - 18, "For the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words." And Paul also says in 1 Thessalonians 2:19, that the believers will be his joy in Heaven. And in 2 Samuel 12:23, David says: "But now he is dead; why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me." So, David is talking here about his son that he lost, and David knew that he will see him again. And then,in Matthew 8:11 Jesus says: "And I say to you that many will come from East and West, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, in the Kingdom of Heaven." All right, I think that's enough verses, you get the point - we will see our loved ones again. I mean... I can't wait, I can't wait to see my grandparents again, my two brothers I lost, my dad... I just, I just can't wait! 5. You will still be you and you will still have emotions; God made us in His image and He gave us emotions. And through the Bible, we also read that God Himself has emotions, like love, joy, gladness, delight, hate, jealousy, happiness, and more... So we can expect to have emotions in Heaven, and the Bible also says that it will be banquets and feasts and singing in Heaven. So what about the bad emotions? What... will you be sad, will you cry? Well, in Revelation 21:4 we read: "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." Wow, so all the painful things that you and I hate in this world; that is caused by sin - God will stop it all... He will stop all the suffering of the poor, the cries of those who're abused... All of these things will stop. He will wipe away every tear and He will make all things new. So no, you will not experience pain and suffering in the new Heaven and the new Earth. 6. You won't miss your old life - this is a little bit hard to explain or to understand, so, let me try to explain in an example: My wife and I, Nikita, had to fly to China. We got to the airport, and they said: "Guys, the flights are overbooked, could we offer you an upgrade to your flights, to business class from economy, if you only fly one day later?" So both of us said: "Yeah sure, that's fine..." So, they upgraded our flight. The next day came, and it was amazing... For that whole flight we never missed our old seats back in economy class, we didn't even think about it. Now, Heaven could be far greater than that, you know what I mean, right ? There's no way that you will miss the old earth with all its problems, if you compare it with the new Heaven and Earth. In Isaiah 65:17 we read: "For behold I create new Heavens and a new Earth; And the former shall not be remembered or come to mind. But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create." How awesome is that, the former things will not even come into mind. 7. You will also have a real body in Heaven. Some Christians out there said that, well you will only be a spirit, and some other Christians even said that some people will become an angel... That is not true; that's not what the Bible teaches us. God gave our bodies to us and one day he will unite our soul with our bodies. Our new, glorified body and it will never grow old, never grow tired, never get sick - it will be glorified bodies. In 1 Corinthians 15:42 - 43 we read: "So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power." Now listen to this, in verse 44, "It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body and there is a spiritual body. So the spiritual body is the immortal body; The one that cannot die, and the one that is made for Heaven, for all eternity. Now the Bible doesn't tell us exactly what this spiritual body will be like, but it does tell us something very interesting: In 1 Corinthians 15:47 - 49, "The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from Heaven. As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the Heavenly Man, so also are those who are Heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the Heavenly Man." So, it basically tells us that our new spiritual bodies will be like the body of Jesus Christ after His resurrection, which basically means, you will have a new glorified body in the new Heaven and the new Earth. Now, that is going to be exciting! 8. We will live in a whole new world! Now, most Christians always only talk about Heaven; but God is going to make a whole new Earth... and I can't wait to explore it! In Isaiah 65:17 it says: "For behold I create new Heavens and a new Earth; ..." and then if we go to verse 24, He says: "It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear. The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, the lion shall eat straw like the ox, and dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain," says the Lord." Now, imagine living in this kind of world... And if we go to Revelation 21:1, "Now I saw a new Heaven and a new Earth, for the first Heaven and the first Earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband." I want you to imagine how this will look like, don't just read it, imagine how it's gonna look like. I'm gonna continue to read: "Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from Heaven saying, "Behold the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. Then he who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new."" Wow, just imagine that... You can go in your free time and read on how that's gonna be like, from verse 9, He goes on to explain how the New Jerusalem is going to look like. And it mentions something like a massive wall, with twelve large gates and twelve angels stationed at the gates. This wall is built from jasper, the gates were twelve pearls, the city itself pure gold. Even the streets were gold, and God's glory gave its light, and it never needs the sun, and so much more. But go on and read it in your own time. 9. Heaven is a real home. The Bible is very clear on this; this world that we live in right now is temporary, it is not our home - we're just passing by. We read in Philippians 3:20, "For our citizenship is in Heaven from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ." You know, sometimes things here gets a little bit too much, right, and then we say things like, 'I just need a holiday', and then we go on a holiday, you know, and for a little bit, it's good... we feel a little bit of rest . And then there comes a time where we feel like, 'okay, this is enough... I just... I want my home. There's t.. I need... I need to go back home.' But then, what do we say when we get back home? 'Ah...there's no place like home'... Why do we say that? Because it's probably one of the only places in this whole world that you can call home; where you feel safe, secure, loved... The place where you can let your guard down, because you feel more peaceful. But even that is not really how it should be, because we always take our problems with us to our home, but all of us long for that real home, but we won't find it here in this world, because our real home is in Heaven with God. That is where all reborn Christians will finally feel fully at home; With God, with our brothers and sisters in Christ, with the Angels - That's home... A place where you're accepted, and a place where you have rest for your soul. And if you're not sure that you will go to Heaven... What are you waiting for? What is stopping you? Because time is running out... In this world... this world is only temporary and it will fade away. And you will lose your soul with it. Jesus says in Matthew 16:26, "For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works." So what good will it do you, to try and have the whole world; To live for the things of this world, but you lose your soul? You want to be rich and you want to live fully for the lusts for this world... Well it's your choice. You can, but the consequences of it, is not in your control. You can be a singer, you can be an actor, you can be a successful business man, you can even be the president of a country... But if you die, you leave it all behind; and it means nothing. What matters at the end? Well, there's only two places that you can go to: It's either gonna be Heaven or Hell. The choice is yours. There's only one way into Heaven, and that's Jesus Christ. Do you know Jesus? Are you prepared to meet Him? How do you prepare? Well, there are not many ways into Heaven; There is just one, and that is through Jesus Christ, Who died for your sins on the cross. Jesus says: "I am the way and the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me." I'll ask you again: Do you know Jesus? Are you prepared to meet God? This is the most important decision that you can make in your life. You have to take this seriously. If you repent of all your sins and believe in Jesus Christ, you will be saved . Romans 10:9 - 10 says that: "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with his mouth confession is made unto salvation." It doesn't say, "If you go to church you'll be saved," or, "If you grew up in a Christian home you'll be saved," No, make sure that you are ready to meet God. How do you do that? Well, you pray and you talk to God. You ask God to forgive you all the sins that you've done. You repent of all your sins, and that means to turn away from your old sinful life, and you start a whole new life with God. If you want to do that, then pray with me now: *God, I need you. Come and change my life. Make me a new person. Jesus, I believe that You took my punishment for my sins on the cross in my place. Forgive me of all my sins that I have done against You. Jesus I accept You as Lord and Savior, and I will now live my life for You. Amen. If you just prayed with me and if you really meant it, then you are now a child of God. Now you need to grow more spiritually to get stronger in Christ. So start going to a good church, read your Bible and spend time with God, and meet up with new brothers and sisters in Christ that will help you along this new journey.
