What does the MEMZ TROJAN do to your computer?

hey guys Tech revolts here or SR on my second channel I wanted to make this video because I've gotten on my main channel lots of questions about what MEMS actually does and maybe because you know when a when a scammers computer gets destroyed by MEMS you actually don't get to see what happens afterwards kind of see it crash or you see it do pull up all the menus and all that stuff so I wanted to do like a short little video on my virtual machine here and actually destroy my virtual machine with MEMS to show you guys what it does and also we're gonna read about it a little bit here first to show you guys what it does now a little history here you can actually check it out on this page I'll have it linked in the description below this little Wicca page here that tells you a little bit about it so if you guys want to read about it and you want to find some more about it other than just what I show in this video you could check this out here but it was originally made if we go up here question it created for a dan KU ones viewer made [ __ ] were serious so fellow youtuber had a series where many subscribers would create malware and he would test them out and basically just see what happens so yeah that's that's basically how it was created but what it what it actually does if we go down here this is just about the warning message and stuff but it pops up the message and the notepad that says of course your computer select by the MEMS Trojan that beautiful beautiful message yeah we're for a Windows XP and up and basically what it does you can see right here overwrite payload works on all Windows versions from 95 onwards which I think we yeah so it works from our mental work from Windows XP end up filling all versions of Windows 9 special windows 98 below but the MBR overripe payload works on all Windows versions from 95 in onwards so destroy uh a lot of Windows versions with this ah Bam's yeah and then apparently it's a also possible to work on Mac OS and stuff but we don't really care about that right now we want to see what it does so MEMS destructive launches multiple instances of itself one renders the payload while the other guard each other and trigger kill windows and kill windows is basically if you kill the task I'm pretty sure I'm pretty sure that's what it is that you kill the task and then it just crashes like you know if someone feels like oh no my computer's game screwed my mam's I'll just I'll just close to task they close the task it's like oh yeah we'll kill Windows and then kill Windows does the actual so sorry so no it's not that but they guard each other and then that probably used to crashing that happens and then kill Windows which creates all the boxes and stuff that you guys will see so you'll see it right now in a second but inside of my videos all these boxes come up air boxes and random message boxes is come up just saying like all your computers with [ __ ] are you still using this so you you know like just random funny little boxes and then what happens is the it writes the MBR payload written while note dot txt gets opened is a nyan cat animation right as a custom boot loader and this right is likely to break your partition table if the installed system uses EFI boot loader and nyan cat does not appear on startup due to different booting schemes but the computer will still fail to boot so basically what it does is in layman's terms it breaks windows I mean I'm sure with hours and hours of complicated complicated work you might be able to fix it I think someone else I does ever got through YouTube name but they attempted to fix it and they ended up failing it was like a three hour long video about them trying to fix the nyan cat but basically it it basically destroys your windows whatever windows you're running it destroys it and puts a cat 9 cat if you guys don't know what nyan cat is it puts the nyan cat so when you boot up your computer its nyan cat and if it doesn't work I've seen as seen right here if installed use system uses EFI boot loader nyan cat does not appear but if you're not using that the nyan cat will appear and if it doesn't then your system is still not gonna put in a windowsill windows is still broken so it's still destroyed so yeah there's a there's a lot more information on here if you guys really wanna I wasn't trying to go too in depth on everything but basically it kind of just destroys everything runs some few payloads and then has some checks on herself so if you kill the task automatically crashes windows so when you boot up it's a cat it's a cat yeah so I went ahead and I am downloaded this here as you can see I got MEMS 4.0 so I believe this is the newest version I got the master version here go away add so we're gonna drag this here on to my beloved virtual machine here so we're gonna take destructive here and this is what we're gonna run you just throw that away so yeah if you guys want to see the specs of this cuz it's probably gonna crash so let's look at it let's show you guys the specs to my virtual machine here of course VMware this hard drive doesn't want to worry okay there we go so we got an i5 4460 which is actually not an i5 I'm actually on an i7 right now so that hasn't updated it might show it here yeah how's it updated but it's on three cores so I'm gonna I'm actually on an i7 and I'm giving three cores to the virtual machine and then I got five gigabytes of RAM so let's I don't know let's let's get right into it let's see what happens here we go so you click let's actually I'm gonna click yes and we're gonna turn my sound up we're gonna turn it up here sorry you have just make sure that we make sure it's not not too loud it's all for you just execute is considered malware this malware home computer makes it unusable if you're seeing this message about knowing we just execute simply press no and nothing will happen if you know what this malware does and are using a safer environment to test press yes to start it do you want to execute this malware resulting in an unusable machine yes so last warning crater is not responsible for any damage made using our still execute it yes and here we go MEMS is now running here we go the notepad your computer has been [ __ ] by the MEMS Trojan the computer won't put it up again so use it as long as you can try killing mounds well I can't speak well cause your system to be destroyed instantly so don't try it so if you try to kill this task here let me should try and see it if I could find it before it so any of these try kill any of these system will just Boop gone it's loading something right now I'm sure it's about to start opening the browser and yeah there it goes Google Chrome what's a what's it opening oh gosh it's lagging Oh what is this it's a Google CAPTCHA it's not loading it it's not loading it because it's a CAPTCHA you see right here that it's trying to search up stuff can I can I click the so much crap open would it look at all these prompts how many prompts can I see I can't I can't even click on it it's just it's just dying it's dying Wow now this the sounds are really going away well shoot I think it's I think we should try and restart it it hasn't crashed so I'm gonna go to my VM power and I'm gonna I'm gonna restart guest let's see if it can even restart can it even restart through the through the software Oh oh shoot there it goes the VMS crashed the VMS crashed Oh blue screen of wow we got a blue screen but let's try to restart it and see what happens here restart guest and that's what a scammer sees this is what a scammer sees what he restarts is confused oh wow that's hilarious well shoot that that's pretty much what happens guys let me mute this all the way
