greetings everyone hope all of you are having an absolutely fantastic day the party member with the most unique mechanics and Rogue Trader is undoubtedly Casia your personal Navigator she gets a list of talents and abilities that nobody else has access to including your character there are a ton of different options and it can be difficult to discern what's useful or what you should skip over in this video I'm going to break down all of Casia Navigator mechanics and help you determine how the best user if you have any questions that are not covered in this video please leave a comment down lless stair let you attack all creatures in a cone for up to four plus your willpower bonus damage the damage is irrelevant what really matters is that enemies must make a massive willpower resistance check or become stunned for one turn this is one of the best ways to open a fight since it potentially stuns powerful foes this also lets you know that Kasia is someone you want front and center her two best abilities require line of sight to your foes and this one can impact party members so it's preferable to have her out front at the start of combat the second ability she comes with is Notch of purpose this allows you to designate a square and the closest enemy to that location immediately moves up to four cells towards it if multiple enemies are at the same distance from that point then all of them move even if they are stunned or immobilized this ability is absolutely fantastic because often times it allows you to draw out a well-entrenched foe you don't have to see the enemy to pull it into the square in addition Kasia has a talent that allows her to damage enemies when she for forces them to move the damage becomes quite substantial so using this will sometimes be enough to eliminate an enemy without using up your one attack per turn this ability once again highlights why it's great having her up front she needs to be close enough to place this where it will have maximum effect now let's review the list of abilities you can select while leveling up you can select Navigator abilities in the same menu where you select Arch type abilities which means you are always ch choosing whether it advance in your arch type or as a navigator you get a list of 14 Navigator abilities and can select five of them keep in mind when you become an Exemplar at level 36 you lose the ability to select any additional Navigator talents or abilities that's part of why it's important to prioritize picking them up now the first ability is glimpse of fate and allows you to give one ey a percentage bonus to their next attack Dodge and resistance test the amount of this bonus is equal to five times your Navigator willpower bonus the bonus for each type of attempt disappears independently from the other ones after being applied this isn't bad but I think kazia is best served eviscerating your foes so I ski this men reality decreases Veil degradation by an amount equal to Kia's willpower bonus and all allies gain deflection against warp damage and damage from psychic powers equal to the same amount until the end of her next turn Casia doesn't care about any of this automatically attack it she'll be on the front line so this is definitely something to consider if you have multiple Frontline party members but personally I skip it visual Beyond time forces one character to pass a willpower test or they become marked if you use this power again the target will return to whatever position it was in when you first marked it and restore its wounds to the state they're originally in huh I guess this is kind of a get out of jail free card but it's super weird and not as useful as other options skip it held in my gaze allows you to deal damage up to six plus twice your willpower bonus to one enemy who must pass a willpower test or become immobilized until the start of your next turn I don't care about rendering enemies immobile because they can still attack and throw grenades skip this emulate the soul does damage equal to 10 plus your willpower bonus to all creatures in Al line and inflict Soul burn which gives them an additional three plus casio's willpower bonus damage at the start of their turn at the end of their turn a willpower test can be passed to remove the Flames when burning psychers suffer additional damage when using their powers and Damons suffer additional damage when they attack or use psychic powers you'll face more of all the above as you advance through the game and there are several talents which are activated when characters are burning so this might make a lot of sense for your squad I skip this power but it definitely has Merit all right now we have passed most of the Riff raft and it's time to get into the Heavy Hitters scourge of the red tide creates a 3X3 Zone that deals four plus Kasia's Navigator willpower bonus to every enemy who is in it enters it or begins their turn in that area this is a great way to eliminate or at least soften up a group of enemies and you'll find Opportunities to use it all the time pick it up visions of Hell causes all enemies within a four- cell radius to suffer a penalty equal to 10 plus twice Kasia's willpower bonus to their willpower and toughness until the end of combat this is a fantastic way to make enemies more vulnerable to your abilities and I definitely recommend picking it up warp curse Unleashed curses one enemy to increase all warp damage they experience by a percentage bonus equal to 20 plus three times Kia's willpower bonus and the damage of all other types is increased by 15 plus of willpower bonus at the start of their turn the enemy closest to them also becomes cursed boss killer and it might suten up one of their Elites as well this is a very effective way to shred a tough enemy defenses next is point of curiosity which forces all enemies in a six cell radius to pass a willpower test or they must move three cells towards the point Casia selects even if stunned or immobilized this ability is useless against enemies who don't walk such as turrets outside of those rare situations point of curiosity is the best way to open combat in the entire game it's also one of the top five abilities in the game and it's not number five again Casia can choose a talent which causes enemies she moves to experience damage that means this ability which can touch an entire room of fos can can also kill half of them while shifting many of them out of whatever fortified position they were in it also only cost one action point it also does not use your one attack per turn limit every one of my fights starts with this and then afterwards Casia can still move so I will take the best angle possible and unload with lless stair to stun any enemies too stupid to lay down just absolutely devastating on multiple fronts for the final time she needs to be close enough so that she can see as many enemies as possible and increase this ability Effectiveness spot of apathy creates a three cell radius and any creature that is inside of it or enters it must pass a willp power test or they get the apathy status if a creature ends their turn inside this field and they do not already have apathy then they must pass a willp power test in the first round apathy makes a Target immobilized if at the end of that round the target is unable to pass another willpower test they lose their ability to dodge or perform attacks of opportunity until their next turn if another round passes under this effect and they fail another willpower test the enemy becomes stunned and apathy is removed no you don't want to wait a whole round before debuff actually becomes effective we need immediate results last on the list is zone of fear which forces creatures in a 3X3 Zone to pass a willpower test or they must immediately move out of the Zone even if they are stunned or immobilized this movement triggers a tax of opportunity if your allies are outside of the zone or pass a willpower test yet another great way to damage enemies while not using up your one attack per round extra points if the enemies are in front of allies since they will take damage from Casia and whoever does the attack of opportunity great stuff that's the full list of abilities so let's move into talents similar to pyer navigator talents are always available if you watch some of my Arch type breakdowns you know there's two different list of talents you get access to as you level up one is marked available talents and it will have your list of archetype talents and general talents another one is marked common talents and it will only list your general talents just like pyer Navigator talents are available in both menus which means you can advance much more quickly as a navigator than you can in whatever Arch type you have chosen you will have 19 opportunities to choose Navigator talents and there are 19 of them in the game unfortunately when you get Casia the first talent slot has already been selected for inspired courage which isn't very useful for her the first navigator Talent is the course untraveled which is triggered every time you use a navigator talent for the first time in combat and increases her perception by two you definitely want this but it's more like a midgame talent after you get some of the other ones blood aury is triggered when enemies are damaged by your Navigator abilities and causes them to suffer a percentage increase to warp damage equal to twice casio's percentage bonus this damage Stacks with each hit lless stair and red tide both deal warp damage but they are by no means your main source of damage this is a late game pickup unless you are interested in Sea of Souls which we'll talk about in a bit e and Flo gives you an additional action point every even turn and a bonus of plus 20 to perception on every OD turn definitely this is one of the first few talents you should select for obvious reasons I of Oblivion causes every enemy in Kasia's line of sight to have their Dodge and hit chance reduced by an amount equal to twice her perception bonus I can't help it so I'll sneak it in one more time put her out front and make sure she can see as many enemies as possible oh and pick this up early tonicity causes Casia powers to deal one additional damage for every five bonus characteristic points on her equipped staff this is the staff that Casia comes with when you recruit her you see it has castigating five listed along with a special effect the staff provides based on that characteris istic infusing and devastating provide her with different effects as you get better staffs the characteristic and debuff values rise along with the bonuses to willpower and perception in case you are curious I prefer castigating staffs since they help Casia land her Force movement abilities by the end of act three I found a staff with a ranking of 11 so this bonus isn't going to get crazy high but every little bit of damage helps pick it up mid game by the end of act three I found a staff with a ranking of 11 so the bonus from this Talent isn't going to get crazy high but every little bit of damage helps pick it up mid game Mastery of time is triggered when a creature gets an extra turn in combat and provides Casio with a stacking plus five bonus to willpower if you run with another officer this is a must-have Talent you should get early if you don't and really have Casia provide extra turns then you can ignore this Mind Over Matter allows Casia to make all resistance tests with her willpower bonus if it's higher than the base characteristic for that test if our willpower is higher than toughness then our wounds are also calculated using that characteristic without question pick this up early open to the warp causes enemies who are affected by Kasia's abilities to suffer a negative-1 stacking penalty to their next resistance test against her powers the penalty is lost after the test is made definitely another early pickup use visions of Hell first and with this talent that will create basically a double debuff all but ensuring point of curiosity cannot be resisted pass unscathed allows Casia to use her perception to calculate Dodge if it's higher than agility you might have been wondering how Casia is going to remain upright when standing on the front line This talent and the other one we mentioned regarding her test and wounds is part of how she does that and it absolutely should be one of the first few ones you get stable routes is activated when Casia uses an ability and reduces Veil degradation by one if you have multiple cyers on the team this could be invaluable otherwise skip it strange Vitality heals Casia for a willpower bonus amount of wounds at the beginning of every turn and she gets one additional wound for every Navigator Talent taken this healing increases by plus one for every creature killed in between her turns yet another talent that helps keep her upright and absolutely one you should pick up early this also makes the case that you should go ahead and get every Navigator Talent even if it's not useful to her build to get the maximum amount of wounds possible I don't recommend that as I think there are a couple of non-natal that really help her such as Nimble to increase her Dodge but it's something to consider perilous ways causes enemies moved by Casia to suffer damage equal to our willpower bonus at the end of their movement this damage is increased by plus two for every cell the enemy moves this is without question the third Talent you should pick up when you have leveled Casia three times you get to pick an ability and you should take point of curiosity and this at the same time to give her Effectiveness a massive boost if built properly late game on core difficulty she'll wipe out six enemies on the first turn without even doing an attack threads and faults is triggered whenever an enemy fails a resistance test against Casia and causes all attacks against them to gain a percentage bonus to critical hit chance equal to 20 plus twice her perception bonus this affects Stacks but is reset by a critical hit Casio will trigger this multiple times on multiple enemies every single turn definitely an early pickup unblinking stair prevents enemies who have been damaged by Casia from dodging attacks of opportunity and they experience additional damage from those attacks equal to our perception bonus if you are running with a lot of melee party members this is an early game pickup otherwise I would say it's a mid or even late game pickup undamned the Sea of souls causes enemies that are under effects from Casia to experience a reduction of armor equal to twice her willpower bonus this reduction is increased by the devastating parameter from her staff but it doesn't stack remember blood augury well it counts as an effect and you can easily trigger it every turn on multiple enemies so once you have that talet this one will be triggered all the time as well your willpower bonus should grow to be massive so the armor reduction from this talet is considerable I think it's worth taking blood Argy earlier to also get this and significantly debug your enemies probably a midgame pickup overall for both of them under my protection is triggered when Casia targets allies with Navigator abilities and causes them to gain a plus five bonus to all resistance tests against warp effects until the end of combat this affects Stacks with every applied Navigator ability you already know I skipped all the party member Buffs so this is useless unnatural alert allows Casia to gain plus five fellowship and an additional plus one to Fellowship for every Navigator Talent Andor power Tak it this should be the very last Navigator Talent you take when you become an Exemplar you'll have the opportunity to select talents from officer and whatever upgrade archetype you have chosen so more than likely you'll choose something that's going to benefit from fellowship and this Talent will help make up for the fact that you haven't been focusing on those Mechanics for most of the game veil of protection causes Kasia to give allies a 10% bonus to armor when she targets them with Navigator Powers this armor is reduced by the amount of veil degradation and increased by the infusing characteristic of Casa's currently equipped staff I don't use Ally Buffs or infusing staffs so this is useless finally guide of souls causes Casia to start all turns including extra turns with three additional movement points the first Ally targeted by her with a single Target ability gains the same amount of additional movement points at the start of their next turn the second part of this is irrelevant but the first part is essential for my team at the start of every fight my officer gives Kasia an extra turn so she can wreak havoc having three extra movement points all but ensures she gets the very best angle for incredible Powers definitely pick this up early that wraps up all the information I have regarding
