Best of luck to those athletes in Oregon Lys. We want to check in on our weather impact forecast. That's right. And we are looking at excessive heat returning tomorrow plus the chance for some monsoon moisture moving into the state today though, close to seasonal, just a degree or two above +103. The air temperature right now it's 79 up in flag also 79 degrees in Greer. That will feel real nice but check out our temps tomorrow going right back to excessive heat conditions. 114 expected in the valley 100 in Kingman, 110 in Lake Havasu. Notice the windy icons around solo. Those are a 40 mile an hour gusts that we'll be experiencing tomorrow. Plus thunderstorm chances around globe Flagstaff Payson and areas close to the White Mountains. So here's our monsoon meter for tomorrow. It is not going to be a completely clear day on the radar. Highest coverage of storms will be out across the White Mountains and southeastern Arizona looking at about 30% coverage 20% for northern Arizona. But the reason for the two in the valley is with these thunderstorms that are expected in northern and eastern Arizona, they can put outflow boundaries out which are windy conditions over the dry, lower deserts. And that means blowing dust as a possibility. So late afternoon, early evening, we could be contending with some blowing dust across parts of the lower deserts. The radar clear right now. But you can see all the moisture in New Mexico and Texas, even Mexico, that's a tropical storm moving on shore as we speak. So we're actually getting some influence from that. Here's a look at the setup. We have an area of low pressure off of the coast of California that's driving in south westerly winds, bringing in some humidity and moisture from the Gulf of California as we expand this out. Here's that tropical storm Alberto, since we uh westerly winds are moving out and bringing some moisture in from the Gulf of Mexico. So we have rising dew points, rising humidity levels. You'll really start to notice a difference by the weekend and that's why our storm coverage across the state will be going up. Here's a look at tomorrow and you can see a good chunk of the state will have thunderstorm chances. Although for the lower deserts, our highest risk is going to be blowing dust as we take a look. This is our Thursday precipitation chances measurable rain across I 40 in the Navajo nation as well as the White Mountains and around the Tucson area. As you can see here, there is a slight chance that an isolated storm makes it into the valley. But again, our bigger chance will be for some blowing dust tomorrow across the lower deserts. As far as Thursday is concerned, Friday is concerned, highest coverage of storms will be up in northern Arizona, mostly north of I 40 east of the valley altogether. Here's a look at our seven day forecast. We do have a weather impact alert day for tomorrow for the excessive heat. 114 and we will have additional excessive heat warnings Monday and Tuesday as temperatures approach 115, Rachel Lindsay. Thank you. You guys.
