FUTURE ON WHAT THE NEXT STEPS WILL BE. >>> OKAY, LET'S CHECK IN WITH FIRST ALERT METEOROLOGIST DARREN PECK. YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT HOW THAT SMOKE IS STARTING TO MOVE OUT OF OUR AREA. IF YOU LOOK AT THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE RIGHT NOW, IT'S NOT SMOKE. >> AND I WILL START WITH THAT AND IT IS ALWAYS A GOOD SIGN TO REPLACE SMOKE WITH FOG, WHICH IS WHAT WE'RE DOING, THIS IS WHAT RYAN WAS JUST TALKING ABOUT. PRETTY PERSISTENT RIGHT HERE AND THEY HAD RETURNED AND THEY HUNG AROUND FOR A GOOD PART OF THE MORNING AND DID NOT MELT BACK FOR MOST OF US. THIS IS WHAT'S HELPING. AND STREAMING IN THROUGH THE GOLDEN GATE, TAKING MUCH OF THE POOR AIR QUALITY AND TO HELP START SCOURING IT OUT AND WE WILL KEEP DOING IT OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS. WATCH WHAT HAPPENS AS YOU'LL SEE THE CLOUDS START TO BUILD BACK IN AND TOMORROW MORNING, IT'S A JUNE GLOOM MORNING WHERE YOU'RE LOOKING AT THE WIDESPREAD MORNING FOR MUCH OF THE BAY. WE WILL DO THAT AGAIN WHEN YOU GET THERE FRIDAY. PLENTY OF CLOUDS FILLING UP HERE. THE INFLUENCE IS HELPING. LET'S USE THE VIRTUAL MAP AND GET AN IDEA ON HOW TOMORROW WILL GO. THESE ARE THE DAYTIME HIGHS FOR THURSDAY. A LITTLE WARMER THAN TODAY, THE COOLEST DAY IN THE WHOLE SEVEN-DAY FORECAST. THAT WILL BRING YOU BACK UP TO THE LOW TO MID-80s IN THE SOUTH BAY. WE'LL SEE TEMPERATURES ACROSS MUCH OF THE REST OF THE BAY GRADUALLY WARMING UP. IT'S NOT A DRAMATIC CHANGE TOMORROW, BUT YOU DO START TO NOTICE THAT THE TEMPERATURES HAVE BEGUN THEIR INCREASE TO GET US INTO TOMORROW'S WARM UP. ALL RIGHT, A LOOK AT WHAT MIGHT BE A BIGGER CONCERN. THE BIG PICTURE SHOWS YOU HOW THERE IS THAT BUBBLE OF WARMTH SITTING OUT THERE. THIS IS THE DOME, THE HEAT THAT COULD MIGRATE ON OUR WAY AND KIND OF GET US IN THE GRASP WHEN THE TEMPERATURES WILL GO UP. THAT'S WHERE IT IS. WATCH IT MIGRATE OVER THE COURSE OF THE FOLLOWING THREE DAYS. THERE'S TODAY AND TOMORROW, WHICH WILL GET US INTO FRIDAY. SO WE WILL SEE THE WARMTH REALLY START TO BUILD BACK IN OUR WAY FRIDAY AND SATURDAY OR BOTH NOW VULNERABLE TO THE NOTICEABLE INCREASE OF HEAT. SATURDAY MORE SO THAN FRIDAY. WHEN WE LOOK AT THE MAP HERE FOR FRIDAY, THAT HEAT RISK MAP SHOWING YOU ALL RIGHT, WE ARE STARTING TO SEE THE ORANGES FILL BACK IN FOR THE CENTRAL VALLEY AND MAYBE EVEN THE TRIVALLEY, BUT WE WILL SWITCH THIS FROM FRIDAY TO SATURDAY AND WATCH THE COLORS CHANGE. WHEN YOU LOOK AT WHO IS INCLUDED NOW IN THAT MODERATE SHADING FOR THE HEAT RELATED HEALTH IMPACT, AND THE TRIVALLEY IS ALSO INCLUDED IN IT. SO IS THE DIABLO VALLEY. THINK OF THOSE LOCATIONS AROUND CONCORD AND CLAYTON AND EVEN WALNUT CREEK NOW. YOU ARE JUST BARELY IN IT. LET'S PUT SOME ACTUAL NUMBERS ON THAT. WE WILL GO TO THE SEVEN-DAY FORECAST. WE'LL SAY GOOD-BYE TO THE IMAGERY IN OUR VIRTUAL MAP. WHEN YOU WOULD LOOK AT THE MICRO CLIMATE FOR OUR INLAND VALLEYS. A COUPLE OF NUMBERS HERE WILL JUMP BACK OUT THIS WAY AND FRIDAY IS 93 AND SATURDAY IS 95 IN GENERAL FOR MANY OF OUR INLAND LOCATIONS. SO THINK NORTH BAY VALLEYS, TRIVALLEY, DIABLO VALLEY. YOU'RE ALL PRETTY MUCH DOING THE SAME NUMBER FOR FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. GOOD NEWS BY SUNDAY, WE WILL START IMPROVING. TEMPERATURES WILL COME BACK DOWN. WE DON'T HAVE TO SPIKE AGAIN TO THE MID-90s. IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE GOING INTO THE EARLY TO MIDDLE PART OF NEXT WEEK. THIS WILL BE SHORT LIVED, BUT IT'S SOMETHING THAT YOU SHOULD START PLANNING FOR NOW. THAT'S A BIG JUMP IN TEMPERATURES, WHICH WILL CATCH A LOT OF PEOPLE OFF GUARD AND START MAKING PLANS TO GO EASY ON YOURSELF
