thank you so here we are at NAMM this event is like Disney World but for musicians I love it which is why every year I'm here what better way to enjoy it this time than by doing what I do best asking your random people to sing now I know an event this large would need to have strict rules to stay organized and safe for everybody I hope I'm not breaking any of those rules right now so far it's instrument um yeah yeah we're out of here so as you just saw The NAMM employee was right we were breaking the rules and she politely asked us to shut down Nam stands for the National Association of Music merchants and it's an annual trade show where music industry professionals come to Showcase their products and network with other industry players about a hundred thousand people from all around the world come to this event so I know that they need to have strict rules to keep everyone safe if they let me set up they would have to let anyone else set up which could make the whole thing too chaotic we did fly from New York to California just to be here and it's a little disappointing to not be able to continue this project but we totally understand why now it's time for us to figure something out we always do in fact this is not the first time this happened [Applause] [Music] okay before we pack it up will you sing a song only one only one it'll make you feel happy and make you feel Brave and free over here so it turns out we might not have to stop we just have to move a little further away you see this barricade right here that's where Nam ends anything beyond this point is actually open to the public it turns out since getting shut down our next guest has been searching for me ready welcome perfect let's do it let's do it so uh do you have any idea in mind I was would be easy to pick up you know what let's do it let me let me get my headphones here it is Tony I was like I was a little too nervous on Thursday so my friend did it and I saw her do it and be all confident and everything and I was like I can do it I can do it yeah so we left a little early yesterday but today I was like literally we walked in the front Gates and I was like we're fine and Reggie and if anybody heard me I was literally singing Reggie how are you Reggie I was literally singing this whole thing now that I know that song I'll make sure to respond every time I hear it if you hear it in the wild one day yes I'm looking for you so when you what do you what are you what are you doing after this oh man we're just probably gonna head back in maybe grab well probably maybe grab some lunch while the lines aren't too bad this is my first time at NAMM so it's a little bit of like walking in and having you know up where he's like squirrel and like every six seconds my attention's like somewhere else so hopefully be able to really soak in this last day and [Music] I mean I'm not gonna lie to you this right here is kind of my peak of the weekend so let's do it I went to Universal Studios yesterday so that's kind of saying something tomorrow so that's kind of really saying something ah nice nice okay cool I think I got it I think I got it the things [Music] I can't Thursday like I said and I just I've literally two and a half weeks ago I was watching your videos I ever see this man I'm gonna do it I'm gonna go up to him because I've loved singing my whole life but I've always been a little bit more like it's so special to me it's hard to share because like what if it goes wrong sort of thing but actually seeing your videos and watching people like walk past and double back and then they do the whole like well I'm gonna watch somebody and then oh that looks fun like that just reignites that passion and that love for music that everyone has to some capacity so like being able to share this with you is just absolutely amazing oh thank you so much have a great day you guys thank you Tony thank you Reggie lucky for me and Melissa the music never stopped it just found a new stage all it took was a little compromise they even put our picture on the front page of the name website I did not expect that but it's pretty cool so many more people
