We FINALLY PAINT my NEW S13 Coupe! (INSANE color)

what is up everyone good morning and good start of the week busy busy week down here busy busy week so I apologize guys first for missing a video we haven't missed like a video that long in a long time but we had an event in Canada JDM Fest that I decided just to go have fun enjoy myself and not film and I'm happy I did JDM Fest was insane for everyone that went I hope you had a good time we had amazing time the only downfall of JDM Fest was Tom decided to Total his car so not just a little wreck either it's yeah it's bad and that car has been bent many times so I think we're we're on the phone this morning trying to decide if we cut the car in half and fix it or if we just reshell so how many weeks till final about like six I think not even like five oh yeah stay tuned for that but with death comes life the new Front Street coup and well today is a big day because by the title and thumbnail you guys probably already know that we are finally getting rid of all of the red it'll it's finally going to be all gone it's finally all going to be all gone and you guys know I'm using red guy but the red doesn't work with our accents and our style that we want to go with this and for this car I want to do something completely different that's different than the the style and vibe that we have going on right this is a drift car so we get to go a little bit more creative with it and well I think you guys are going to like the color I think it'll be fun change of pace and well today we'll be spraying the chassis in a couple small bits so you guys will see the color we don't have enough time to paint it all and do like a reveal of installing but we we film basically every other day so yeah enjoy this bit so you guys will'll see the color today we'll we'll see see all the red gone and I think that will really transform the whole image of the project and I'm really hyped about it and then we're getting that much closer to finally being able to like retire this car cuz everyone keeps making fun of me cuz we you keep driving I keep driving it but it did amazing this weekend I mean look it it's still in one piece yeah it doesn't even look like it left Arrow still on and we did some driving this weekend okay yeah there's some evidence yeah I mean I might have hit Martino a couple times but it is what it is for now let's get this thing loaded up and bring it to where we're going to be spraying it hello that start good that start [Applause] [Music] good 1 [Music] so you guys are probably wondering where are we going to paint the car so usually Anthony does our painting right he's so good he's so good to us to get things done super quick but I think we kind of burnt him out a little bit and plus he swamped at work so we decided to use another resource Tommy F yeah so Tommy has a paint booth a very talented painter and uh everything we need so today we will be here at what's the actual name of his shop F Incorporated F Incorporated gdm space but he actually has a name for this place and I should know it am I a bad friend that I don't know the name of his business yeah we're here we're going to pain our car it's going to be sick all right toas what do you think huh it's just ready for pain right yeah it should be good to go just just hose it and go easy yeah hose it and go that's it easy as that right and you're not going to tell them what color it is no not yet they'll have to wait till the end of the video or fast forward a lot of I mean I've been like building it up like it's this big deal it's not we've just been talking about it forever [Music] so so this pain for the day this is Peter it's actually one of my old school homies we've been in BMX together since we were really young probably 10 years ago which is cool it's like all comes full circle right full circle small world we're painting this thing today yeah you are I'm going to watch you I'm going to throw the gun yeah tag team it yeah yeah yeah exactly so what do you think what do you think of the car I mean this is I think the second time I've seen it I mean spoon he knows what he's doing so it looks good it's a little nasty today so hopefully everything goes good but I I'm excited I don't know you excited I'm excited I'm excited to get rid of the red cuz the Red's kind of throwing everything off we got some cleaning to do we got to get this thing in the booth uh we got to mask it all up uh prep it all and start mixing some uh sealer and then seal it base few coats are clear and then boom and then she's done Easy Does It [Music] I think it's going to fin maybe and and is going to clear that lower I can just [Music] [ __ ] [Music] perfect back tape time baby make sure our paint doesn't get in the inside [Music] [Applause] all right we got her taped up it looks sick with the little yellow on it doesn't it part's actually good I can't believe you found a rust free Jesus Christ dude you would wor how bad you with your yeah when you get the wide angles like it just looks crazy I feel really bad cuz I didn't know the name of the garage so what did you do I said I don't know what it is oh zero garage s z z e r o garage s0o so that's it r s so they have done a lot of painting before as you guys might see all which car should you paint right here you paint the black one the purple one the blue one a gray one so full paint JS but youve I mean you paint every engine bed every engine bag get Fs spec package or the garage zero spec package you can't the F spec we uh glass out you know do the whole thing only way to do it only way to do it you guys did all the prep it should be quick the masking going really quick pet an animal um get this thing masked up and it's just I can't I can't wait to see that color I just can't wait to see the red I don't care what color is this why can't wait to see the red it's so hard to visualize like when a car's like 15 colors then once you pin you're like oh that's what it looks like even though we're not going to obviously get a complete car in this video the transformation of just the body being in one color is going to and it's going to make the car feel like it was like I mean the car was basically restored like you saw it it's a nice car now yeah it's clean I love that Dash com that's good right garage s0 so you guys have seen us come to Tommy shop a million times right there's always something in the works and like the next Endeavor is something I'm selfishly excited for um and that is the fact that they will be utilizing their own machine shop so this has been in the works for a really long time you've been teasing me with it forever probably 2 years we've been planning this maybe oh a year and a half but and now it's like working yeah it was like a it was like a bottleneck every time we hit a bottleneck the goal is to do it in house the machines are look at this guy a CNC machine dude 5X CNC it's ridiculous so we're only waiting on L and then we can start get everything wired and and I already bullied him into making sure the first Sr that goes through here is we're going to give JM me a 2 two I have I have three SRS that are just sitting on stand so it's like we have so many RBS we want to just 28 the world so we're going to do like right off rip bunch of 28s put them on the shelf and be able to offer them like with no turnaround so your car comes in you pick one off the shelf and we go this is ice thing on the cake is the fact that you have JP now yeah we got JP you guys know like we've always talked about JP JP has always been our local like he's been my homie for probably 10 years now and he has kind of turned into being the engine builder of our area yeah him and Travis killer kill yeah you can't miss Travis on that either but um they're coming here and so now it's like their home like now when I need a built short block it's not like oh my God what am I going to do who I make a million like to get oh my God the amount of phone calls you have to make and like favors you need well not only that then you get in and your block sits on someone's shelf for forever and we you know know it's happen to our customers it's happened everywhere cuz JP was kind of doing on the side so now it's we control the timeline which is huge I'm so self I'm going to say selfishly excited for this because this is a a good thing for me it's going to be cool for everyone all the YouTubers that we that we support most of especially in the beginning we probably won't be just taking things in from the back door and just running them you have a bunch of stuff like yeah we got a bunch of customer stuff this is good for the scene because like as you've noticed a lot of the shops around here only take in Old School custom so because for the longest time the tuner Market wasn't willing to P the money to get built and now that not only that engines were so cheap if you blew an Sr you just go to JDM dep and so a lot of these shops that have been around for 30 40 years which most of them they've been around for a long time they refuse to take the JDM guys cuz they think we're cheap but now it's like you have to spend the money there's no way around it and so like it's hard to get in the doors of these old school shops I think the biggest thing too is US specializing in the SR the RB 2J like that's what we're going to try to do so it's not like we have to relearn an engine cuz when you go to these big engine places that's desicant don't eat it that's like what you find in your beef jerky uh you go to a big bag of jerk look a big bag of jerky there keep some moisture out so when you go to them they you know they there's a learning curve and we're not going to have that we're going to kind of know where we're at you know RVs especially SRS especially JPS been doing Sr stuff I've known JP since 08 yeah so that's like it's crazy it's going to be cool we got it here on camera first Sr going through here first Sr is Jim jimbos we'll do it we'll do it for [Music] you so obviously we can't spray everything at once I mean the booth isn't that large we kind of have to do it in section so Peter the doors we're not going to do are you doing the full full doors doing full doors today shell and then jamming the trunk in the hood okay so by jamming he means not painting the whole thing but painting the areas that aren't on the outside right so it would be the inside the under bulk of the trunk in the hood and that's so obviously we get rid of the red a lot of people will just do it black underneath maybe if a drift car or something like that but we can't have the new color with red showing on the bottom like imagine everything's color change you Pop the trunk of the hood and you just you know the Hood's not right but you get what I'm saying so we'll get that covered and then the rest will be sprayed later on all right so we got the hood all prepped and even though we're only going to be spraying the underside of these panels we have to fully tape them up because we don't want any overspray getting into our paint surfaces because then we'd have to Reep it right so we're going to tape our clean edges fully mask the other side so we have a nice clean inside line and then when we demask it we could just get right to spray the other side sound good sound good I'm just hyped that we're going to have all the paint coverage everywhere it's going to I feel like it hits different when like all the nooks and crannies the same color it'll feel good whatever everything's masked everything's prepped everything's masked up now it's time for final cleaning and then we're going to start laying some stuff [Music] down pulling the air through the whole goal is to obviously make sure there's no dust or debris in the air so it gets in the paint nothing remember when you're spraying paint it's a big air gun so if anything's loose it's going to spray it right out and spray it right into your mess so you got to make sure you hit it with a gun first and make sure there's nothing loose that's going to spray out when you hit it with the paint so before we cover this thing up we have a couple bare metal spots and well some sealers can cover bare metal no problem if there's not a lot of it some can't the sealer we have isn't the best at covering bare metal so what we're going to do is we're going to take some selfedge primer which is made to adhere straight to bare metal and kind of just spot etch the the areas like you see right here little bare metal so a lot of a lot of sealers that aren't direct to metal they say there's like a fine line between what you can and what you can cover so uh just a little extra precaution hit it with some selfedge or some uh epoxy if you have that and then go over it with your 2K sealer after it flashes off you're good to go so with the edge it's a super light coat and I know it always looks a little sketchy having a spray can right before you actually spray paint but honestly it's kind of the process that you SE in a lot of high-end shops and it's always done us good so take that with a grain of salt all right this is the moment where the ball starts rolling now it's time to spray stuff but we can't get straight to spraying color right because if you look at the car quite a different colors right we have black gray red different layers of gray and now if we start laying base coat you're going to start seeing those colors kind of bleed through right the color will be darker in some spots lighter in other spots and it's not going to look good right you especially the red like if you see this red under the color it's going to be brighter darker whatever Plus helps with sand scratches cuz the car was finished at 320 so you have to seal it so what we're going to do is we're going to spray sealer which is like basically a very thin primer right and so what that's going to do is make everything one color so the paint color is consistent like you said it fills in kind of like the small sand scratches that we have and makes it all one uniform thing and what's nice too is that will give us a consistent base so when we spray other panels at a different time it should come out looking identical look who decided to show up so we're going to go talk [ __ ] to Grant well well Peter makes it all one color come on Grant we're getting this thing Dusty H up dust hurry up Austin what color what color you showed up at the perfect time cuz we would prep it all day do they know what color no you know what color oh that one do they know no oh you better do that little Photoshop where it's like pink purple blue green yellow all on the thing TJ hunt the crap out of this one you're going to TJ LZ the crap out of it it'll be good I'm excited I think this is the best color you could have chose for the car I think it's perfect and it goes with the other two cars I think it's very Front Street very fun Street I think it's also very Nissan fun street is more like it Fun Street all right let's go watch our exhibit from the window exhibit what is this Pimp My Ride imagine being a painter and you just have like faces like imagine being a painter and then being friends with us you missed a spot it's a little dry there hey get the bottom get the bottom the bottom the lid the lid he's like you guys I'm so excited not to see this dusted ass red anymore dude it's the theme of all of this it's like the I'm I I'll hold back what I'm going to say but it's just save it the new color is going to be better what we see now what your painter [Music] sees Austin the red it's gone it's gone what oh my God no more red Happy Days all right it's base coat time so well it's time to see the color psych you thought we in black and white for a little while so we got some layers to spray it's pretty cool it's actually darker than I thought but obviously I think the white base coat will make it liting up quite a bit it's going to be sick it's going to be sick yeah that's good stuff right there all right boys it is officially base coat time which means we get to see the thing color which is super exciting so stealer makes everything nice and even and uniform you can see it now see the body work looks nice and clean very happy and uh now it's time for [Music] [Music] color oh my God I'm getting out of here before I die but that is so crazy to see like there's always like so [Music] much police going by there's always so much buildup to this point right it's like the spraying is like I want to say the easy but it's like the quick finalizing it's like the you know the the build the prep the math everything it builds up so much at this moment seeing actual color being laid and transforming the whole or of the car it just like for those guys so much work so much we finally get to see it come to fruition I like I know a lot of guys have been through this and understand what it feels like but if you never have it is just the craziest feeling to finally see something something you put so much effort into it's like so good you feel it now I love it I feel it Mr Crab you feel it now oh I got chills dude done it so many times and like it still feels incredible every time my God look at that in full color God this is going to be so wild to see in the shop oh it hit it hits different when it's on the car like the doors are look at look at the jams fill out dude I'm glad that we went that extra effort yeah doing the jams and everything yeah like we we were tempted just to do the jams black it's drift car whatever but it wasn't really much extra work to I I spray it out like this WOW in the light it the color brightens up so much [Music] Peter you've been spraying a bunch how many layers of Base did you do currently we're at two now what makes you like determine how many layers of Base you do um so you I mean with experience you kind of gauge if you need two or three for sure um this collar covers really well so we could get away with two let down so I'm going to go ahead and turn the lights off and see how the coverage is with the sunlight oh that's smart so if it looks good we're going to go ahead and do a let down so two and A2 coats a let down yeah yeah nice it's like a metallic like Drop coat oh okay um and then we'll clear from there if I do see a couple spots that look a little light we'll do a full another coat so it'll be three coats and then a drop coat Okay cool so after that we'll be good to go good to clear easy peasy sweating sweating one last coat of Base you're back my boy I come bearing gifts oh I figured I saw the sweat on your face hot day dude and I know how much I sweat today through my pants figured the least I could do is bring some cold Breezies for that's the best way to celebrate it's the best way to celebrate is the car painted it it's got like two layers on it right now am I allowed to look yeah you got to come easy time and they're ice they got to be cold and you got to shake the [ __ ] out of them but put them in the we should put them in the paint mixer that be I got one of those we haven't earn it yet we haven't earned it yet we have to have it with with P all right let's put them in the fridge then all right let's do it all right you know what actually we should see what Tommy thinks of the color I didn't think Tommy was here when did you get here I told you only HKS yeah I'll pay you next week oh hey what's up grit he's reading the what are you reading a Porsche book yeah go figure you got that money you ow me I'm all out man God he's so blind did you know he was this blind yeah her was making fun of him the other day for it does he wear contact the reading glasses why does he have a thing of honey in a this is suspicious I all right we're go we're leaving right now Tommy I promise get to work oh that's so good and I can only imagine what Martino's going to do on top of this I hope no they're definitely it's not even a surprise they're going to do something damn that's going to look sick Peter just hopped in with a gun full of clear so uh the car looks good now but the clear is when it really pops and like you know what I'm trying to say it's going dude clear is so disgusting yeah spray oh we'll do it after the first look at them jams look at them jams Jimmy Jams glistening those are some Jimmy Jams if I've ever seen can we let it flash a little bit before we open the door I'm going to do a third you going to do a third yeah we have PL clear n not yet all right we got to let it flash a little bit before we get some Austin man grits freaking hair flakes will fall in the paint Jim's RZ go over the car all right Jimmy really wants me to stay for this reveal but I have to go to work so sorry Jim I tried I Peter just laid down a third layer clear a dumb fat layer clear so it looks it looks good so yeah we got to be careful cuz it literally just sprayed it so don't let the dust in now ho the crazy thing is we know in the sunlight this car this color brightens up crazy and I cannot wait to see it outside but for now I mean one more thing I had to say is I already got a bunch of DMS a bunch of people were bummed cuz they know it's already not yellow and a bunch of people think it's black so I hope you guys like this a lot more oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] so guys it's no surprise to a lot of you guys can talked about this color so freaking much uh kind of like when we did 86 I talked about that color way too much uh this is Nissan def fuchsia it's a factory S14 cookie color one of the rarest colors of the kie Kookie cookie whatever um it's one of those colors that every time I see in person I'm you always stop when you're like wo like you guys if you've been around for a long time you've seen me film a lot of videos and every time I see a deep future sh K I always make a big deal about it this was my opportunity to do so and I think it's a great fit it goes great with Tom and Josh colors it lightens up super like in the light it brightens up a lot it almost has a pink tone to it but in the in the dark it looks dark and I like coup and dark I like coups in dark color and I've never had a purple car so it's like my first excuse to have a purple car if that makes sense once we unmask it and you see the pink compared to it I think it's going to really pop and like really bring it together like it'll take a livery super well like I don't know it's beautiful it it on might Lo like look like Peter did such an amazing job of laying this thing right off the gun it has a factory War to peel look which is incredible I mean it is he killed it he killed it I mean everyone killed it everyone's hands who have been on this car it is absolutely beautiful obviously when we assemble it it's going to hit completely different so if you're on the fence about it right now just you wait till this thing is assembled it's going to be ridiculous but just having this thing sealed in paint makes my heart so happy I mean think about how this car was when we first got it besides like the condition but the aura to it and see it like this is it's always an amazing feeling now it's pained we can get glass in it and we can actually start to drive the damn thing I'm excited for it this outside is going to be ridiculous I D to see it outside because when you look at it like from afar it looks almost black which is cool which is good but then when you see like look at it in the light now imagine that in sunlight it's going to pop so freaking crazy this was the right choice this was the right this was 100% the right choice yeah so it's kind of been a big Easter egg having the S15 in the back because uh Tommy recently did this car in deep fuchsia and when we saw this car sprayed in this car it was kind of like the nail in the coffin like we we knew we were going to do it for a while and we saw this and it was no hesitation this seeing this car on S15 is absolutely the car is super Dusty right now so don't let it fool you but this car is absolutely beautiful he has the look at it the blue end endless brakes as an all color with the option b blue interior on the s115 how cool is that on the per dude pink accents are going to hit really hard really really really hard I'm really excited for them to finish this car cuz this thing is going to be something special look how much lighter this color looks out [Music] here yeah you can almost see the color better in this car cuz the surface area but this is it's the same same SE it'll look identical all right well it was a long day it always is when you're painting but the car came out absolutely beautiful and this is like just the teaser like remember guys like I wish we could M demask it right now so we can see all the pink accents again against it but I promise the next video I'll demask it and show you guys I think it's going to go extra crazy when we see The Pink Carpet the valve cover everything is just going to go so good and then obviously we got to assemble the car and it's going to be like you just got to you know you got to enjoy the victories that's what I always say like every moment of the process try to find each win if you just like are you know not excited till the whole thing's finished and what's the point of all this you know what I mean you're going to kill yourself doing this stuff so today was a huge win I'm super excited I got my Breezy ending the day couldn't be happy good celebration it's a good celebration Victory Breezy so for now uh we got to get back it's been a
