hey welcome back everybody back at it for another day so yeah we're just in here working today oh here's our new little sprayer unit that we got I think it's the 1996 as what it is it's a Willmar 765 only a 60-foot boom but anyways this is what it is I was hoping to show you guys it running today but I don't know how well it's gonna work you can see it a couple new valves down there coupling the elbows right here throughout that pretty much every low point on this thing I think it froze and cracked everything so that kind of sucks times when you buy used equipment they tell you it's filled righty and it's not actually filled ready so anyways oh yeah so I'm just going through and I've replaced this valve that valve there's another T in there that we replaced this one was the only one in the whole bottom half of this thing that was actually anything worth saving this one was cracked there was one back here that was cracked and elbow coming out of the pump was cracked so that didn't help us at all it was not not good so anyways I'm just going through right now I'm trying to get it all hooked back up [Music] [Music] all right back at it for another day here so today what I did well so far is what I found is I've worked on getting these wet spots that we missed up here about our northern farm try to get them planted I'd say this one's like six to eight a core wet spot if you remember we actually came through here and I don't know if I said this or not but we had three and a half inches of rain two or three days before we got into this field you can see where it's already planted the green stuff out there that's all really sandy ground and we had dust pollen two days after it rained so that section of the field is actually really dry right here in this section the water table is just about here there's a pond right over there that's about the same level so this ground doesn't really dry out here because of the water table and with all the water we've been getting the last couple years it's just the water table hasn't gone down at all it's actually been going up so that's the issue with what we got going on here so now that it's dry out supposed to be 90 today so hopefully we can get some of this mud dried out and we got another 35 acre field up here that was the same way but I think that's in a lot better shape it's not as wet as this particular spot so Mark's gonna take this hook back up as a fellow packer and disc it finish it off that'll be offset and roll into that and get it planted so that's what the plan is and then I think I'm gonna bring the sprayer up and spray this stuff is just planting with some pre merge spray and go that route and get that done you can see this is soybeans last year and it's pretty wet but we got we got soybeans growing out here maybe we should have just planted maybe we should just replanted soybeans out in this deal he's already half planted reason why we have so he beans out here's because I let this was how last year when it was rough job getting the soybeans draw all the ruts [Music] so anybody's gonna keep going up now you're road-tripping [Music] all right now really now we're in the 40 70 again hey you got stuff from the blowers and stuff back in Old Faithful and we headed back down so bra one thing huh brought the sprayer up we had some spraying to do up here Oh bird poop looks really nice doesn't it so I brought the sprayer up and this thing's all done up here so it's going back down okay keep moving whoo it is a burner out today and tell you that yeah so I'm just sitting here keep moving [Music] everybody I got it for another day here we're gonna do some spraying today or try to the winds finally got around a half a range so we're introducing spraying is probably 5 10 mile an hour breeze so hopefully we can do this last couple days it's probably been 25 to 30 miles an hour and yes so that's what we've had going on that's why they haven't really got anything done but we got everything for our sprayer all set up now before we were having some issues with our monitor here not wanting to read speed and that we're pretty sure in Telepan ran we're pretty sure it's because the radar you know my bad so we have this sweet little cable here that goes from our light bar system here and it should take the speed that this reads and put it into the box so that's not hoping as we're going to find out right now if they have this cable setup right so I guess let's find out I think we got it figured out so we pump out a fire truck over here into this drop our chemicals in from the top and we thought we could fill out of there but turns out we can't push and pull at the same time it's anyways so we figured out that if you hook your this line here on to this they take that takes care of that issue but you can see it's not hooked up now because we need a double female here to connect this to that so we gotta find another double female so switch this to a female game lock but I had double female get some separation we found our other one I want to be an issue either or we can probably switch that this fitting back here to a female and be done with it as well juniors we're loading right now about half full over half empty here that's good because that needs to we put some in here to get that F T cos we ran into a huge dilemma there and you can see we got blue skies and you can see it's raining so yeah exciting so we're gonna get this figured out Spray or not now it's on the sprayer right all right so we're off their map run it we got her speed set up all right you know this goes we've ran one badge through it but this is the first time with our wire the whole time it was freaking out at me so hopefully this sign is a little better and we don't have all the yelling and screaming that this little box does here because who is that annoying Micro shoot for a 15 fifteen gallon Sleater so see see if I can get out on this road without dying we need trim some trees back so here we go all right got too many things to do alright so just finish the filled up you can see here it's all it's great this thing really works good once I got the speed setup on it I just had to adjust it in the box at nineteen point six eight down and I got about a half a tank but so we can get about 40 gallons for our 40 acres out of the tank horns looking really nice so that's always good all right so it's gonna be it for the day just finished up and we knocked out eighty acres on like two and a half hours so that's nice it's good to get it done um yeah a little muddy though no how will you be able to see that or not she's muddy the one the one field was back across the ditch where grandpa got stuck so yeah that's cool I was working at stock you can see you got a little deep so just a little covered but yep she's gonna need a bath it's a good thing we got that fire truck I'll just wash it right off that's half the reason why we got that thing was for washing equipment the other half was for bringing water to the sprayer just a lot more convenient having a ball for our operation a 2000 gallon water truck you know we got a 600 gallon spray spray so we can get three loads out of it and taking I'm gonna say 45 minutes to an hour to knock out 40 acres so even if I can get two batches sprayed by the time they go and get water and back so it's pretty convenient for that purpose we can fill a truck at five minutes we got a big well that we can use so the filling on the water isn't the issue it's just we got a bunch of a lot of our fields are twenty to thirty acres and smaller up here in rothbury but once we get down to the home farm we got a couple 60 70 acre fields but in this area of Michigan there's not a lot of big 100 acre field 250 acre fields the biggest field really around here probably a hundred acres and there's sections that you could actually farm two or three hundred acres of ground on but how it's broke up is different fields and different farmers own them and they do they do know Nahal you'll be able to see they'll do like hey soybeans hey soybeans and strips of like twenty acre strips so it kind of breaks up a big chunk of ground just by doing that and I guess that's how it's always been done around here so I mean I guess that's how it goes we're trying to get away from that because it's just easier to do bigger fields having the chunks instead of working on this section and going to that section when it's dry we can hit it and go and it just works better that way for us but anyways that's gonna be it for the day it's just a nice nice evening I'm gonna go have some itzá thanks for watching see you next time
