oh my god hi we've really missed you guys i know for you guys it's like you see us every week yeah there's no time passes but like we haven't been with you in like a month yeah i'm so excited to be back with you guys movie night at dance we're here we haven't done a movie in a while no i'm in my cozy clothes for movie night movie nights tonight if you click the video you know that we are going to be starting the dark knight trilogy we're going to be watching batman begins tonight and then the other two tomorrow lovely binge i'm so excited you guys voted for this to happen the options were i think dark knight indiana jones indiana jones the matrix in jurassic park yeah and this one won by a pretty big legitimately people like love to speculate but like i swear on anything all four of those series i've never seen this is why he wanted me on this channel literally it's just because i don't i've never seen anything like i have never seen classic movies so for all those people that are disappointed that your pick didn't get chosen we're gonna get we're gonna do it we're gonna do it we just wanted to know what to do first like and there's a ton of things that weren't added in that poll as well that we're gonna do we're gonna be doing movies forever yeah so we're doing batman begins how are you feeling about this do you know anything about the series do you know who's in it like the actors that are in it this is where heath ledger plays joker yes yes so yes so i feel like that's very you know if people know about this series that's what they know is heath ledger played the joker it was a very huge huge moment yeah uh big big portrayal i'm so excited for that because i know you know you i've heard so much about the fact that him playing this character really was like a really huge cause of his death mentally but that his performance was so authentic because of that you know because he really went there so it's sad but i am excited to see you know the product of his work yeah totally have you ever seen the movie black swan no maybe we'll watch that i'm telling you guys like the movies i don't know what it is in me but it's like the movies that people are like oh my god you have to see it i'm like no i don't want to so that's very true addie like will refuse to watch things in spite of its popularity so like when things are really popular like like for example a star is born is a movie you've been wanting to see i want to see it i choose to say no every time you're offered i want to like have seen it like i want to just have already seen it i don't want to have to watch it because the there's these things it's the same thing with game of thrones where people talk about it and they're like oh my god you're going to cry your eyes out and throw up and be really angry and i'm like i don't wanna experience those emotions but i do wanna know what you're talking about yeah you wanna be in the no you just don't wanna do the work things that are really crazy like that i tend to just be like i'll watch it eventually yeah and then number two no so well we are taking a pause from game of thrones i feel like this was a good decision to make you know obviously we just came off of season three the red wedding was a very very intense thing for you and so i just think it was you take a break it's a good decision to just not as curious as i am and like we're definitely going to finish it but yeah i'm okay with not doing it yeah you came over today and you were like i'm just so relieved to just watch a movie and not have to think of like you're like i miss the characters but i also am relieved to not have to think about them right now yeah the devastation that that show brings is just like it's it's like and that was the first time you cried on the channel like for real for real like i teared up during lord of the rings but i full-blown full-blown cried at the red wedding it's like so embarrassing like i don't know how people i honestly i don't know yet how people reacted to that but i swear to god if anybody has any one thing to say about like she cried like i will quit today because i bared my soul no honestly i think more people would have been upset if you didn't i like couldn't help it it was it was incredibly emotional so i'm okay with like having a little space from the game of thrones we're gonna do a fun little superhero trilogy and trilogy and hopefully it's less heart-wrenching and these movies are made by christopher nolan who i consider to be a really good filmmaker he did inception he does a really a lot of really like hollywood blockbuster films like his movies a lot of the time just like scream hollywood in a good way and i love his movies i think he's really really like bam explosion kind of filmmaker you know so yeah i'm really excited to get into this you obviously don't know what you're getting into this first one is called batman begins i'd say let's not waste any more time let's get right into it without further ado getting right into batman begins we're not doing a take two i either cut it out or you just i leave it we will not do a take two if there's one thing about me i'm not doing a take two oh bounce it's freaking bats i love freaking bats you seen that vine yeah of course look it's freaking bad bruce willis no okay that's an actor what's his name bruce wayne bruce wayne cut that out sorry bruce willis bruce willis if you're watching and i know you are i still apologize for that hello did you have three nightmares worse than this place are we in prison you are now legend oh let's go you tell him christian bale are you so desperate to fight criminals that you lock yourself in to take them on one at a time the world is too small for someone like bruce wayne to disappear no matter how deep he chooses to sink the vigilante is just a man lost in the scramble for his own gratification he can be destroyed if you make yourself more than just a man if you devote yourself to an ideal then you become something else entirely legend mr wayne batman they put him in solitary confinement for one night yeah see like me i would already be lost yeah if i was in that situation i would have never known where to go you said eastern slopes i'd be like east where's i thought you said east what is east a rare blue flower how many of them are there yeah how rare am i to just wander this mountain till i find a blue flower oh he found that very quickly it's pretty rare looking oh he has a beanie now that's good freaking bats you'll bruce okay would we be needing an access master i'll set the bone and take him for an x-ray later you know why they attacked you don't you they were afraid of you afraid of them all creatures feel fear i got something to show you you think your mother will like him did you build this train dead gotham's being good to our family but the city's been suffering so we build a new cheap public transportation system to unite the city and at the center wayne tower well that's sweet yeah rich people that are good that have empathy for the lower class consideration for their neighbors no no that's fine that's okay it's okay good news it was nothing that you did i was i was you know how to disappear we can teach you to become truly invisible your parents death was not your fault it was your father's he is just beating him down you haven't beat me you've sacrificed your footing for a killing stroke boop all right bruce why could you not avenge your parents will you be heading back to princeton after the hearing so can i persuade you to stay on for a day or two i prepared the master bedroom no my room will be fine this house master wait i sheltered six generations of your family why don't you give a damn alfred it's not your family because a good man once made me responsible for what was most precious to him in our world alfred just respectfully putting him in his place uh because uh your dad was amazing because you're being disrespectful to this house haven't given up on me yet never oh baby we all need an alfred i wish i had one alfred still keeps the condensed milk on the top shelf katie you're just back for the hearing bruce i don't suppose there's any way to convince you not to come we all loved your parents bruce what you did is unforgivable and what's your boss letting him go i cannot let that pass and i like disappears in halloween i've never seen this in halloween no that makes sense i don't watch scary movies yeah are people interested in watching me watch scary movies comment below comment below suffering delusional episodes often focus their paranoia on an external tormentor in this case a scarecrow this way please there's something i think you should see this is where we make medicine perhaps you should have some clear in your head that's terrifying batman knows you're [ __ ] scarecrow the batman at this point they can't stop us but the batman has a talent for disruption can you really fly i heard it true true and true he also eats children in full moons all true but it's not a full moon so we're [Music] that's terrifying he's like i take my own medicine i know this isn't there like her nightmare hasn't ended she's like just can get me home when we go back now when you do at least it's your father's name that's all that's left of him how are you going to get your torso little introduction skins they really hit every kind of iconic part of the batman that people know of like you think so well they like they give you the batmobile and the bat cave and the joker and stuff like all these even at the little end the little joker you know what i mean teams like i don't know anything about batman but i still was like excited yeah right it's awesome what did you think of that i thought it was fun it was a good movie it was a really good like introduction of why like batman became batman that's really what it was yeah because i think it's very easy for people to like the reason that i was never into superhero movies was because i was like found it a little bit comical like the idea of someone dressing up in a costume and going out and fighting crime so i think if you're going to make it into a serious movie it's important that you make it really believable grounded in something yeah like why he did that and why he's a bat and like how he got there because otherwise it's just like a gimmick okay this guy you know what i mean so no i thought it was really good i love that i love that you have two pages of notes two pages of notes i do take notes differently though i used to do little sections which made it easier to kind of compress but yeah this is my first time having two pages well let's get into it batman begins review take it away um at the top i have my little quote that you said before we started it which is just the small description of the movie police crime drama also with a guy in a cape police crime drama with a guy in the cape that is 100 and that was i wrong no police crime drama that's where the guy in the movie was you know 100 um so you know i first thing i wrote was bruce getting the crap beat out of him on this mountain right now just it opens right up to him just getting the shipping out of him um and by that point you didn't even know he was bruce well because they had shown the flashback that had said bruce and so like you know i assumed he was but you thought it was bruce willis listen if you didn't believe that i have never seen batman i hope you believe it now i didn't remember that his name was bruce wayne that was a mistake i didn't really think it was bruce willis i just i knew that batman's name was bruce bruce um i thought the wayne family was sweet and you know it was really sad the scene when he you know had to watch his parents die um so i you know i didn't like it i think i knew that was gonna happen but it was sad and they made it very realistic and his dad was such a like sweet caring person and you don't see a lot of his mom but his mom didn't make it very much but yeah i feel like a lot of the times with superheroes they are so unrelatable because they're like gods or outer beings they just have this power you know you know something happened to them and you got a super and the thing about batman is his he doesn't really have a power he doesn't have a superpower it's just all coming from the will and the money the will and the money and the trauma and that trauma from his parents basically and the desire to write their yeah right there right that tragedy eventually yeah the police were very sweet alfred's the sweetest his parents were the sweetest a lot of great like people involved yeah a lot of really like sweet people around him um i wrote who killed the man in court i guess we don't really find that out no all we know is it was like a woman that says falcone says hi so we can just infer that he hired somebody i don't know yeah and then i wrote coney's a piece of [ __ ] um bruce has no idea what to do with him um and then the next thing that happened was bruce doing his little trip and fighting all of the the people the ninjas i found that very impressive very impressive but also like i hate the idea of that drug like just the oh yeah sensory overload that it gives you yeah and the fact i didn't like as soon as he inhaled it i was like that's a drug you know what i mean like he's going to trip out like they are telling him to read that in like no he shouldn't be doing but it was very impressive and him you know getting through it was cool to watch i was like bruce is really going for it killing roswell ghul becoming a symbol you know deciding yeah i thought um and then i wrote bruce coming to wayne tower strut like when he first gets there and he's just like hello good morning i'm back it's me i'm back i'm here i'm ready to start taking things out of the office i'm gonna [ __ ] [ __ ] up hi morgan freeman love you great guys a lot of great celebrity cameos in this movie yeah a lot of like a really great cast poor alfred getting dragged to the cave he just like follows bruce wherever he goes he's like okay i guess we're doing that yes we're doing this now like he does not belong in a cave i hate that scene where it's like a flashback of bruce and he like tells alfred like this isn't your family yeah i know because it is it's like who's alfred's family if not the wind exactly like what family you don't have a family either bruce if we want to get technical alfred is your family there's nobody else just you um i wrote alexa play paint it black because bruce is like going through and designing all of his armor and getting the batmobile everything is black and the first time he says i'm batman work chilling chilling and i love i like just also the first time he uses his batman that like it's like oh he is speaking very intensively right now feeling some kind of way about this um scarecrow and scarecrow's toxin were just like so terrifying terrifying maggots and horrible and bringing someone like falcone who's like been set up to be this big like you know mob boss nan just has him you know a little pile of you know puddle of fear by the end of it like he's just absolutely took him down so that's scary and i think the idea of dr crane aka scarecrow is also just scary too like here to treat you and instead is like gonna make you like that's real doctors do that you know and so just that i that idea is so scary yeah it's that it's that dr death trope where it's you know you inherently trust these people and what a scary place arkham asylum yeah oh my god yeah like it's worse than jail i put bath's backup is pretty badass i don't know what i was referring to it's when he calls all the bats to come in oh yeah the bath's back up okay i thought i was saying bats back up like like nicknaming batman bats that's back up no the bats yeah yeah yeah that was cool when he got out of there with the bats um i wrote rosa ghoul needs to very much chill i don't know why we're so dead set on like destroying gotham like yeah if this man says he can save the city like let's let him let him do it yeah you can kill everyone another time and also like you live in the alps like what do you care about god why do you care you live in the snow who cares um go alfred just you know the assist of the century he's he's the goat of this whole movie he's always pulling batman out when he needs saving he's like just the best yeah and then the joker reveal at the end i just found that so entertaining and fun and so exciting like setting that up for there's very clearly another movie yeah and obviously i know this is a trilogy but like i can imagine seeing that in a theater and being like ah i remember this is one of those moments where i remember in the theater sitting there and like as a child when other adults made noise it was like really it solidified like this is a moment so i remember like being in the auditorium and like adults being like yeah and i was like oh this you're like crazy yeah no so fun so i'm excited to watch the second one oh good i'm happy you liked that movie yeah i really love batman begins i think it does get a lot of hate from fans because it is like a slower build up and it is a lot of you have to have you have to have that you need that you i think you you have to enjoy the whiff i've learned one thing from like the lord of the rings and game of thrones like you got to enjoy the setup because you need it you you're not going to appreciate the story or the end don't appreciate the setup yeah like you got to be willing to go through that and just like sit in it i thought they did a great job you need to be willing to care about the characters like yeah if you don't care about it you're not gonna enjoy the way that this whole story goes if you don't know who you're rooting for yeah or why yeah yeah totally no i thought
