hello and welcome back to another class guide my name is hen and today we're revisiting War Tales classes these are deep dive guides I am doing regular guides with precise on point no BS no repetition mode where we get straight to the point I'm revisiting each of the classes mainly because a lot has changed helmets have come out since I released the original class guides the pugilist has been released and the fourth class skill has been released meaning uh seven and fifth levels got new class skills and I got a couple of questions from the original guide so this is not a replacement of the original guide this is seemingly just an add-on uh with alternative builds uh the current guide will go through two additional builds sometimes they are variations of the original build sometimes they are actually new builds and we're going to to see how they Fair on top of that I want to add some gameplay footage so stay tuned to see how the classes are actually playing out let's jump right into it let's talk about the future list today I brought two additional builds of the pugilist with me I already did a successful Guide to the pugilist where I talked about uh the ability of kind of building that Tyrant uh special uh build uh which deals a lot of damage today I want to look at two other builds and the pil list is an interesting class because it in my perspective struggles from uh during the leveling process from dealing a lot of damage at Parts but not being consistent and then receiving a lot of punishment in return and I wanted to have two builds that really address uh that so today we're going to look at one medium armor build the Bruiser AKA The Tank Killer and one light armor Bu The Slayer aka the poisoner or really in andout um damage dealer so let's go with the medium armor Bruiser first and then we're going to uh take the look afterwards at the second build as always we start with attributes then equipment and then we're going to skills in terms of attributes the future list is a damage dealer just like the others so we're going to start with uh willpower first uh which makes sense because we want to get that 15 threshold once we have reached it we cannot instantly die then we're going into movement again to 22 base value because some of our runes um or armor layers rather will reduce our um speed so that we end up in and around between 18 and 20 and then all the rest goes into critical hit as always with critical hit it helps to have trades um but it is not required I took a pure list here that had zero trades whatsoever ever uh and just um had a good amount of Base willpower increased uh the um critical hit as much as possible then with a 30 Bas value um there is uh there are plenty of options to further increase it one is the path um if you have the crime and Chaos level 12 path uh you get the bonus that 5% crit per wanted level that could be up to 25% uh crit chance then the equipment at will give 45 um even 55% if you would use oils that increase crit chance as well so there is plenty to obtain there and then finally food is another good source beer infused ribs for critical damage increase and stuffed cabbage for critical hit increase so there is no excuse to not get near or over 100% uh crit once you hit that level 8 n uh 10 mark and there all of these sources are available for for you to really get going and make sure that you get as much crit as possible now let's look at the equipment and how the pugilist in the Bruiser build will make use of it as always with the equipment I am trying to get standard equipment so that the equipment isn't carrying the run but essentially the build itself is responsible for the GR outcome we do have self-created um Arcadian steel guars we do have a medium armor and we do have a medium self-crafted helmet all of that really uh could be done by you as well so that you can replicate it in terms of uh the helmet we are going with assassin stricking uh that is a 25% uh damage increase against poison units and you will see that the build uses poison to its advantage and that's just the 20 5% flat out buff of damage um as for the armor layers we're going with mir's BR which gives us 15% critical hit per each BR at the expense of three movement overall which is why we wanted to have so much movement and now to the actual oils we're going to use poisonous oil which has a 50% chance of applying poison with the amount of hits that we're doing I haven't really upgraded that any further because I wanted to make sure that we are um safe and secure getting like at least one poison hit because then the strigine will deal 20 25% more damage however the other oil is more important because it is the putrid oil uh putrid oil has 50% chance to apply fever that's a 10% stackable damage buff and with the putrid oil concentrate there's another 30% uh chance on top of it so we're ending up with almost 100% chance to apply fever uh that means multiple strikes will overall increase the damage quite substantially um and with so many attacks that we're doing uh it will lead to uh more and more stacking of that debuff now you ask yourself well white C uh but how do you deal with guard uh because I haven't seen you bypass part of the Guard is this just a build that is going to um attack uh the entirety of the time from behind or how do you want to deal with guard great question let's take a look at that so the Bruiser is not a build that attacks from behind it is indeed a build that is going to attack from the front so it needs to deal with guard luckily for us Bruiser is a fantastic skill for that it ignores guard straight out with the Skool breaker ability which is mostly all we need to chew through a lot of the Guard um by itself if we are in Tech STS it's also increasing the amount of damage Dage equal to the target's guard which is fantastic by itself so say if the um the guard had the enemy had 50 60 guard then each of the hits are going to deal more damage keep in mind that comes on top of a lot of the other abilities as well such as extra damage from Poison uh we are going to start with valer duel every time we engage we gain one Valor that is helpful because uh as a tank killer we are going to engage at least one so the Bruiser is more or less Valor neutral in that regard um with the first attack uh the Bruiser itself will deal full damage through guard um and will um do a couple of things um as well on top of that so defensive stance would apply fragility for two rounds which would be another 30% damage increase um on top of uh the um on top of the potential trigger from putrid oil with fever uh so now why am I reading attack stuns and defensive stuns at the same time this build here is going to use focus and focus on the upgraded version is um interesting and neat um it is in my perspective in that P in that specific build even a little bit better than s's knowledge because at the first attack each round applies all stance effects you want to make sure that you always lead with skull breaker which then means you're going to deal damage you're going to deal extra damage if they do have guard and you're going to apply fragility on top of it uh for two rounds the two rounds is irrelevant the relevant part is fragility so the first two hits um will then also apply poison and benefit from the extra damage on top of the poison so this combination here makes a really good Alpha strike damage repeatable Alpha strike damage against tanks then then um stance Mastery and attack stance uh 20% damage increased defense stance damage taken is reduced so we could even bruise a little bit uh with that I really like stance Mastery for multiple reasons on top of that we do have Unstoppable the unit itself becomes Unstoppable and can pass through enemy ranks freely and uh I'm not using the class specialization but threshing because threshing is just imbalanced and Incredibly good so what that build aims to do is it goes for um a tank is going to use bruising to uh completely get rid of the Guard then going to use the standard attack in order to Dish it further down is then going to use wrath in order to finish it and then maybe moves on to another unit and or another tank and thrash it completely uh taking 15 times to get the second tank off of the Battlefield so that's really the idea behind the build let's see how it plays good let's take a look at the future list our tank killer so we are faced with quite a fierce opposition on the right hand side including two tanks a Defender uh which you always want to uh take a look what their uh responses are every time this unit takes a critical hit they perform an a take of opportunity we don't want that uh we just want the defender in this case this Defender here with the attacks of opportunity in response would be quite devastating so we're going to start uh by moving in with the futurist got a lieutenant here who does have a damage redu pretty good damage reduction and comes in at almost 500 hit points um keep in mind the fure list uh uses his dual stance at the beginning uh so Focus which means both of the stance effects apply on the first attack and we're going to use that completely to our advantage you can see the first two hits are already incredibly devastating two crits completely removing the guard right and then uh we're always uh already um having a poison stack on top of it a FEA stack on top of it so this guy by itself might almost be down does certainly help our case uh to see another 300 attack with wrath in and we're now having Fury after that final blow allowing us to deal even 50% more damage moving on um and are going to completely unload on this next tank before going to the back line hitting twice then triggering the attacks of opportunity and completely maing um the enemy before rushing a little bit back so medium Target uh to start with to get the juices flowing with skull breaker uh into finishing him ultimate to get uh down a very very tough tank and then we're using our normal attack to just get the third one down so that's three in a row this is as good as a basic build would get which brings us to the second pil this build I promise that we're going to see another one this time it is the Slayer and The Slayer build really is all about light um armor DPS we do have the same um stat distribution want to get to 15 on Willpower then want to go and increase movement and then want to go with a Critical Strike we are already at 100% food is coming on top of it so far more than necessary we're having light armor crafted light um uh weapon crafted so both all of this here is easily obtainable by you we're again sticking with the Assassin strike nine where there is a 25% increase of damage against poison units and we're combining that with MIRS bres here for maximum critical hit and we're combining it with poisonous oil and um on top of so poisonous oil for 50% chance to apply poison mind you our actual attack that I'm going to show you is going to apply two poison on top of that so you could stack uh poison all the way and combine uh this with the poisonous oil concentrate or alternatively you do the what I'm doing you're using putrid oil as the second option applying further and whenever you hit your um creating a stacking debuff uh since I didn't want to overload with poison that's possible as well uh but f f uh just increases the damage that an enemy is taking quite rapidly um so with this here um you will apply putrid oil almost all the time poisonous oil 50% of the time and that's just a normal uh strike right so there will be even more to it as we're look looking into the skills as they apply additional effects as well all right let's have a look at the Slayer so the Slayer itself starts with valorous Victory we're getting one um veiler Point whenever we're killing an enemy and then we're coming to the slay ability the slay ability is potentially the most aggressive way of playing the pugilist pist becomes a glass Cannon light armor so make sure that you do have Sprint and that you hide behind the front line uh the um pilus itself um will when using ethereal Precision which is the core ability begin to attack and always cause bleeding which is great in itself it takes two times now if we're in an aggressive stance we're also applying poison on top of that if we're in a defensive stance we're applying corrosion uh which means 50% armor loss at the end of the turn so depending on whether or not you go for a tank or for a rather lighter Target you should choose the stance here this character excels at taking out light to medium enemies so really what we want to go is go to the backline uh start pummeling them with attack stance and then move out uh again afterwards um it also deals respectable damage against um heav arm more Target so that's not the problem now by looking at uh the deeper uh skills or the further skills there are a couple of options I thought about using Focus again or even stance knowledge which means there would be more damage dealt but I wanted to really go and uh show you the route of attacks of opportunity and really what this here does is um it creates a personal challenge so what you need to do is you attack once in aggressive stance once in defensive stance and that will perform then as a result an attack of opportunity in the next round uh you are then gaining four R and that will stti in all of the other rounds essentially making the pist an absolute killing machine and longer combats with that particular um build on top of that every four attacks um that are executed perform another attack of opportunity and all of those uh will apply the poison and the fever uh just to um deal more damage we want to get to the backline so Unstoppable as the the name of the game you can pass through enemies um easily and get to the uh get to the backline and then we're ending with thrashing just because the ability is too good to not uh take it uh there are alternatives of building that uh we could theoretically if you're struggling uh with um say uh more heavy armored enemies uh you can uh basically uh go for an armor reduction uh oil to make sure that you ignore 50% of the Guard the other alternative is you could go for uh focus and basically apply both of uh the um both of uh the uh triggers here not only poison but also corrosion therefore getting a lot of the armor away as well certainly not as good of a tank Buster as the Bruiser build is but you will see it deals a massive amount of damage against squishier Target so let's take a look at that time to showcase the pugilist uh in all of his glory so we do have a situation where we're fighting against highly highly sophisticated enemies uh they are Level 14 so two levels above us we do have uh the worst possible combination a well equipped enemy with measured respond so every time we crit they will take an attack of opportunity so not good which is that which means the fist will try to stay away from these guys as much as possible however um we do have a couple of things going for us because we can simply attack the others um as a starter we are going to use uh the we're going to use the offensive chain as you can see that nicely deleted one of uh the uh opponents we're then uh switching into defensive stance taking some damage but getting some uh damage in uh getting some good damage in return and then we're just going to go to town and are eliminating the third enemy so that would be a really solid display of how the pure list Works in a normal uh scenario you would uh potentially just kill two of them but since I used thrashing that's a third one uh what I wanted to highlight is you're going to see a lot of extra Texs of opportunity you saw that extra aoo against uh this guy before anything happened um and then we were completely unloading on uh this person uh so we still do have enough movement uh left over to theoretically even go into the fight but we don't have any attacks left over so I don't want to just taunt him for no for no reason that wouldn't make any sense but point being uh we uh took one of the strongest guards out we took two DPS out without even hesitating and you can see uh the only reason why we took damage was uh that counter measure I wouldn't have needed to attack it but I wanted to Showcase uh just the amount of damage also get heavily armor targets all right we're done with a build guide and deep dive uh into the specific class I hope you enjoyed it if you like guides I do have plenty of them for war Tales if you enjoyed what you've seen and to value out of it I would appreciate if you leave a like in the comment down below that always helps to propel the videos and helps the channel and it's a little bit of given uh given back thanks for watching see you on the next guide and have a great day bye-bye
