How to farm XP in Aliens Dark Descent, Nightmare mode.

this is out informing XP on nightmare it's a pretty good setup the the key is you gotta finish the second mission so you unlock the training room so you get the new recruits and they get level four automatically while you're leveling up your main guys right now I got a squad full of uh sergeants and one Gunner one Gunner with Jinx which kind of sucks but what are you gonna do his gun jams which seems awkward for the guy that's gonna be shooting the most but you gotta be careful this is the biggest part of this spot here uh how to figure out was a you can put your guns right here and be good but if you put them anywhere that the APC is gonna roll over them it's gonna break them all which uh that was a bit of a mystery to me the first time it happened how that happened the worst part of this is the starting where you wait but the really cool part about this spot now that I figured out the guns is when you get a massive assault they'll the AI will like make them dance around but when you get a massive assault you can save a ton of ammo by just sending the APC back and forth on patrol you can tell how long I've been farming this right here the bodies pile up for a while the spot I was using the Crushers kept dying right here the the biggest thing to worry about when you're farming is that you personally with your squad get the kill on the category two guys otherwise you won't get XP I'm not sure I think I have three sergeants and I think at least two of them have the sped up command points it's a really nice upgrade I was messing around the other day a little bit trying to get queens and stuff out here the Queens are annoying at this spot because the Queens will just go from here to here and then sometimes they'll trick in and come in and go up here and then they're easy to kill and get the XP for but otherwise they're usually pretty squirrely but so all you do is you gotta wait at the start really because nobody's built up to even finally got a room respawning I got two rumors spawning you gotta wait till they're incoming you gotta if you're a little eager then here's something I've been doing are you a little eager you can pop out further but you can save your ammo for the category twos and the Xeno or the uh the later waves depending on how many uh resource what's it called the Plus One ammo when you rest I try to take that and I probably have like one or two in the squad I didn't look and I should have been dropping uh might as well use them right away command points I usually play this game it's tense enough for me that I usually play it with like comedy honor like listening to old Howard Stern shows since all media has gone to hell the woke virus and the I won't get into their 2020 uh arm Punchy thing to melt our brains so that they're they're 5G AI Tech can be undetected when you're like oh my brain's foggy I wonder why well it must be that that 2020 thing that's why they trojan horse that in misdirection it's so nice that military has met up with witchcraftery and and now they can uh strategically be evil but yeah well anyway that's not here nor there this is how you uh oh I didn't even reprimand them talking at it from like the biggest part of that's why I love sergeants I should just have one stress right now for everybody the instant you make contact you hit reprimand or you do it like a second before if you want to keep it nice and clean at zero try to time it exactly but I mean if you've played the game if you're up to the part where you're actually bothering to form and you really don't need to see the whole playthrough of this this is all pretty obvious I just like this setup it's the best one that I've thought of I'm sure there's a better one so you gotta it has to be after the second mission or it doesn't have to be but way better this stuff is slow after the second mission and then before you finish the fifth Mission if you finish the fifth mission then you trigger the countdown clock but I'm on like day 60 something or other the infestation level is five but that really doesn't seem to matter and I would say the balance of like just the instant dismember always hit level 10 guys versus uh versus higher infestation is no contest so yeah you just need two reprimands per hunted to cover the whole hunt I'm gonna start stressing up I guess a little bit more than two it usually runs out but and then this I just welded this and I always have a rest here or re-welded it I guess right was that they were locked originally I don't even know but that is the sum total of it that's where your massive Onslaught comes and then the little xenomorph symbol is where the category two guys form and if you're really hardcore about this like you could have I don't know how many guys I have right now like 12. they have 12 level tens before you move on you could have a whole bunch of level tens before you move on I think you're gonna I have four level tens the four original guys and then a whole bunch of like six and fives and sevens and like an eight or so so I think I'm gonna move on real soon and finish the game but it's a neat different way to do it and get like some more fun out of the game too I think especially trying to use this as therapy for to de-stress and quit smoking give me something to do and then the fun tip that I really like that I haven't done yet and I think on nightmare it doesn't work is to put your guys in an airstrike to get the double amputee achievement but I guess I'll trigger one massive Onslaught show how easy it is and then like once you trigger the onslaught here is you time it right with the APC and it'll make them it'll make them dance and once you've built up a whole ton that are not involved in the onslaught that are going to come with the onslaught anyway then the APC like moving APC is massive yeah I guess I'll go back to main guns you don't need to do this at all we'll just use the pistols at the end or have enough ammo I never take the bonus ammo at the start so I think a lot of people would have way more ammo than me there's so many command points I'm forgetting how many sergeants I have I could be using way more mines but I'm distracting myself I think this is probably a 40 second recharge right now so nice when you have three sergeants in the group and you have a 30 second recharge right and I'm distracting myself way too much I should have sent the APC 20 seconds ago there you go like the APC finished it way too easy go back here to rest if you need that's it that's the farm just make sure you don't leave the APC out there when the category of twos are coming let me use it to clean it up
