WARNING Delete These Mods NOW | Garry's Mod

hey guys how's it going welcome back to another garry's mod video now unfortunately there's not going to be a skit today and there's also not going to be well a mod in particular but we're going to talk about mods that you should definitely delete right now now if you guys don't know about two weeks ago there was some crazy stuff going on where one or a few mod creators went berserk and they threw in images of well something that is definitely not safe for work it's the infamous goatsi image and it was forced upon you when you played the game with one of these mods installed and some of them which i'll list on the screen right now definitely remove all of these mods in fact right now in my discord people are talking about another one that's going to potentially have something in fact i think it does and that is well the food swepts pack which i did have installed but as you can see it has now been deleted now that's the good thing you don't have to worry about downloading these mods guys because i'm pretty sure every single one of them has been removed from the workshop however whether or not they still have an effect if you have them installed i would actually enable this to test it but i'm honestly too afraid to even see it so go ahead and uninstall and then you should be good but if you want to be extra safe super super safe i'm going to show you on my desktop right now how to fully remove the mod from your computer because well there's another thing that came to mind and that is that some creators have been putting mining code into their mods to use your computers as a mining computer i don't even know how that even works but the other one is a sick joke this one is actually kind of serious it it pretty much acts like spyware so definitely definitely one thousand percent remove tall construct which is unfortunately something i showcased recently and also make sure that you remove the lightning swept which is also something i recently showcased it really kind of makes me sick when i do showcases on these add-ons and then later find out that there's something wrong with them because i can't help but feel responsible for spreading these mods out into the wild and giving the sick creator exactly what they want so um definitely kind of pisses me off um kind of annoying that creators keep doing this bs so if you're a creator out there please i hope that you find that this is really dumb and not worth it but anyway guys just in case make sure you search for things like glue library do not have that installed whatsoever now thankfully my boy sev did update pretty much almost all these mods to be safe so he removed all the images and the jump scares and everything so definitely check out sev's workshop page he has a bunch of great mods that he re-uploaded if you do want those mods still alright guys so all you want to do is open up your file explorer then you're going to want to go to where your garry's mod is located and that's usually in your local disk and then program files and then go on down to steam open up steam and then go into steam apps then common and then here's where your games will be so this is the default installation path if you chose a different hard drive simply go to that hard drive and then go to where you have gary's mod installed alright so here i am and i'm looking for gary's mod and there it is so there's gary's mod go into the garry's mod folder and then go into garry's mod again and then you're going to find add-ons and then this is where all of your mods are physically saved to sometimes uninstalling from the workshop will not remove the mod from this folder so you really have to go in here and delete them manually which kind of sucks thankfully though they do still have their names so i'm searching for glue awesome don't have the glue library still in here so that's great typing in construct here so we want to look for tall constructs or long construct and as we can see we do not have that excess construct is a different map it's actually a fantastic map and then we just have the post-apocalypse the knight and the construct in flat grass so we know that we're good on that as well just keep searching for each of the affected add-ons like what about the lightning swept let's go ahead and search that there's nothing there great so honestly it looks like steam does a very good job of actually removing the mods from this folder when you uninstall them so you probably don't have to do this but for those people that are just slightly paranoid and really don't want to deal with any of this stuff especially for the mining things because there was ads playing in my game and i didn't know where they were coming from on my computer i thought i was watching a youtube video turns out it was coming from gary's mod from one of the mining add-ons so definitely make sure those are removed which by the way are the lightning swept and the tall construct the other ones just have the potential goatsy image but you probably don't even have to worry about that because they have been removed just make sure that they are completely removed off of your garry's mod but that should be it if you're really paranoid and you don't want to go through each of these you can just delete all of these and then you'll only download the add-ons that you actually do have subscribed and installed but that's obviously going to take a lot of time considering well you might have a lot of add-ons so only do that if you're really paranoid and don't want to go through each individual one that's pretty much it guys i know it's kind of a serious video sorry i had to do a video like this but unfortunately a lot of creators out there have just been kind of going blitz so i do hope this stops definitely stay safe out there guys again make sure you have those mods deleted and removed and if you still want to use them then like i said our boy seb hooked us up so good on
