Warframe | Akarius Prime | Much Better Than Expected

so not going to lie I wasn't very interested in the acarius prime the only reason I got it is because well why not and I'm so glad that I did because this thing is absolutely tremendous the acarus prime are a pair of Mastery Rank 14 akimbo secondaries that fire Rockets with a massive 7.8 M explosion radius the Rockets do a bit of impact damage on well impact and then 59 blast damage with the explosion now that's already pretty good but it's actually much better than that because the acarius uses a burst trigger so you fire both of them at the same time meaning that you do this damage twice with every pull of the trigger it does fire a little bit slower and has a smaller magazine than the standard aarius but it has bigger ammo maximum better ammo pickup which is huge it reloads faster it has considerably better crit slightly better status and the explosion actually does quite a bit more damage than on the standard one as well the explosion radius on this is both a blessing and a curse because while it covers a massive area it also means that if you don't have some resistance or immunity to knockdowns and stagger you're going to be flopping around all over the place and finally while the reload time is quite long it does reload 50% faster when you're sprinting or 100% faster if you're sprinting while playing as gaus or gaus prime now because the explosion has quite a bit of Base damage and the weapon is also very good at broking status there are a ton of different builds you can run on this I narrowed it down to three and they all run primed fulmination and secondary merciless I just love the extra AOE provided with Prim fulmination it is absolutely ridiculous however you can tweak any of the builds by replacing Prim fulmination with Hornet strike for base damage and then you can run whatever Arcane you want so if you prefer to run shiver or flare or empowered you can do that just make sure you put in Hornet strike so we have some base damage but anyway the first build is mainly designed to strip away enemy armor so we have a hybrid of corrosive and heat and it's mainly used for grineer corrupted but also works fairly well versus the murmur this setup benefits heavily from having one corrosive Emerald chart on your frame ideally to for it so so that you can strip 98% of the enemy's armor with corrosive alone and since it doesn't broke its own vital a pet that can do it for you is absolutely fantastic here the setup is surprisingly good I wasn't quite sure how a straight up upfront damage setup is going to work on the acas but turns out it's absolutely fabulous there's even a tweak you can do to this build where instead of Prim fulmination you put in accelerated isotope so that you have radiation damage against alloy armor as well this will make it into an absolutely tremendous anti-g grineer weapon so overall a very fun build that's pretty straightforward the second build is more focused towards the Corpus hence the expel Corpus and it sacrifices crate for more damage over time though if you really want to you can take out stunning speed and Prime fulmination and then replace it with creeping Bullseye and prime target cracker respectively the setup struggles a little bit with single Target which is to be expected on an AOE weapon that relies on electricity BRS to do damage but it can clear even some of the biggest rooms with a single volley of rockets now just because I decided that I'm going to use this setup versus the Cor purpose doesn't mean that you can't use it against the other factions if you simply swap the expel mod to infest it you can use it versus the infest it and if you swap it over to expel grener or expel corrupted and you get yourself some armor strip because armor will absolutely kill this setup you can use it versus the grineer and corrupt it as well and finally we have the war crime setup which is a hybrid with gas and electricity this is down right stupid versus the infested it does absolutely fabulous damage and it has idiotic levels of AOE because you have the rocket explosion then you have the chaining electricity and then you have the gas clouds it's just stupid I love it now if you're a heretic you can take out Prim fulmination and replace it with an expel mod for an insane boost in damage but then you only get very good area of effect rather than oh my God what is this kind of area of effect and I'm not about that it's just again surprisingly strong and it works pretty well in mixed company as well it's not just for the infested it's pretty damn good versus the Corpus and if you strip the enemy armor it's going to shred grineer and corrupted as well now all three of these belts also run primed pistol Amo mutation because you kind of need ammo mutation you just want to get as much of it as you can because while the ammo maximum is bigger and the ammo pickup is better as well on the prime it's still not great and even with Prim pistol ammo mutation that's one rang from the top I still find myself low on ammo every now and then so don't even think about not running ammo mutation on this at least use carrier or something what I love about this the most is that few years ago a second weapon that does primarily blast damage would be meh at best but nowadays we have so many different things we can do you can actually make this weapon work in more ways than one it's just great I love it so if you manage to put this weapon together because it is a bit of a doozy you need two common parts one uncommon part and then three rare Parts I would
