Walmart's OzarkTrail ProAngler12 Kayak

all right welcome back to get out the house Go Fish well today I'm gonna be talking about a kayak that I just came across okay I was in Walmart good of the day in the fishing section as I'm coming out I come around the corner and this guy catches my eye as I turn and look at the very top because they have him standing straight up and down it's written Pro no.12 I'm like what is this so I walk over to it and it is the Ozark Trail brand now alright some of y'all might know this kayak before under its other name which is the boss I believe that's under son dolphin but now somehow I guess they made a deal we're actually the Walmart brand Ozark Trail I slept its name on there it's called the program of twelve now so imma go over this with you show you what all you get with this kayak and you be the judge you know cuz it looks to be like a good extra kayak to have maybe you're looking for an extra one for a friend of family or maybe you want to upgrade but you don't want to spin quite as much money well this is a great deal with a standalone seat alright let's get started alright so here is the top view of the kayak and I'm going to just go ahead and start from the very front of the kayak and work my way down to the rear end of the kayak so as you can see it has the drain plug right here and and then you have a nice handle to grip onto now up here you have a flat stable like platform area where you can put a cooler maybe a fish bag you have your bungees right here so you can strap it down make sure it stays secure we also have our storage compartment right here now this storage compartment I'm not sure if it has a bag in there but there is also another storage compartment that's right behind under the seat which I'll show you it does have a bag because I was able to act you lift the back of that seat up and then looking to that compartment now as we come down here's your first two rod holders right here and also right here I wasn't sure what this was for but when I flipped it open I could see it's a place for like a like a Scottie mount it's a swivel rod holder that also comes with it so besides these two you have this ER and also you have two more rod holders in the rear so that's plenty of rod holders and also if you wanted to add more or you know maybe a fish finder you have your tracks right here they're plastic but they're Universal mounting plates right here so you can just mount anything you won't see right here on either side now I'll do like the the fact that you do have this non-slip flooring right here these pads right here and if you have problems standing up a stress stand up strap you can grab the stand-up strap which is also a ruler if you need to measure your fish if you forgot your bump board or something you can use that also but you can use this stand-up strap to help pull yourself up and then here are the foot pegs on either side so I guess you could actually if you actually had a rudder at a later time you could actually use these for you know steering the the kayak around now these scupper plugs right here I've heard there are some issues because they're wide at the beginning but then they taper down and they're kind of narrow but the water does when it does collect in here it will drain out when you when you're paddling so don't don't think that's a problem I haven't heard any other issues with that then right here as far as like if you want to carry it he has you have your two side handles here and then under the actual strap here you have a beverage holder so right here - right here you can put like a bottle of water or whatever you want right there but it lays down right there and then we come to the seat the seat is a three position fold down seat I've heard it's comfortable I haven't sat in it so I couldn't really you couldn't go about what I'm saying but this from what I've seen other people that have the kayak and what they've said they said it's a comfortable seat so the cool thing about this is that there is a strap back here that it actually straps to so when you actually load the kayak onto your car or into your vehicle this back of the seat will be strapped down so it's not you know flapping back and forth in the wind or whatever we do have our paddle holders bungee on either side and then as we make our way back here we have another storage area for any coolers or anything you might want to keep back here like I said that other cargo storage compartment is right here under the seat and then once again we have our bungee system here just like in the front and we have our handle in the back end there is another drain plug right here in the back this is a thermoformed kayak that has the try hull design with a weight capacity of 500 pounds alright so let's check out the price of this kayak real quick let's look at a similar kayak the pelican catched 120 retail is currently $7.99 for that kayak that's an extra $300 you can put towards other things like an anchor trolley system or a rudder kid or other fishing gear so if you're thinking about purchasing a kayak or wanting to stick to a budget of less than $500 then definitely check out the Ozark Trail pro angler 12 well I hope you enjoyed this walkthrough of this kayak and if you're interested in seeing this kayak demoed on the water I've put a link below in the description if you have it yet please like and subscribe until next time
