Sun Dolphin Boss 12 SS (Ozark Trails pro angler 12) Kayak

hey there bastard more fans at your boy Justin coming at you with another video here so I'm gonna get some fishing in this week but I think it's long overdue this video I did a short one earlier before I actually started editing videos and even had a good camera kind of quickly showing my kayak but I was so far away you really couldn't see anything so I wanted to talk to you guys about the kayak today as you could probably tell by the title in this video so guys this kayak only cost me four hundred and eighty dollars at Walmart this is the Ozark Trail pro angler 12 now it's made by son dolphin and for some reason they made a deal with Walmart to where if it's sold in Walmart they're gonna call it the Ozark Trail Walmart brand kayak but it's actually son dolphin yeah and the reason why I went with this is I kept looking back and forth between you know Bill it's those high-end name-brand kayaks that are $1500 and up trying to see what I liked whenever else and then I come across this and here's a kayak for $500 and less and it has all the same stuff they have so let me go through this with you guys and show you what we've got and you'll see what I mean so I'm gonna start at the front here we've got a drain plug here and a handle here please move forward it's actually got a rope I've got it underneath right now because little man likes to sit up front here when I'm out kayak fishing or even the dog so I've got it tucked away but I'll pull that out and show you as I come back around but I've got a rod holder here you've got a rod holder here and this is adjustable to where you can twist this any way you want you can see it's got the star pattern so once you get it in there it holds steady and I've shown I've seen videos of the kayak flipping over and these things staying in and not going anywhere so that's really awesome I've got a track small track here but a track with my cup holder and of course I got my monster for you guys so we've got another handle here an attached to this handle is my ruler so when I do catch myself that nice big bastard trout this is where I put him down to show you guys the length so rulers there and everything is attached in this kayak just in case I do flip I don't lose it we got plenty of room under the seat for extra tackling storage the seat itself folds forward so you can get to the gear in the back of the kayak if you need to and it also folds backwards so if you are up here fishing and you can see it's got padded platform for standing up and fishing so you can stand up here and fish or you can flip the seat up and have extra room to walk around in fish as well too so that was one of the bonus features that really drew me to this pad as well too and with two hands a seat super easy with one hand you know it's still not hard I can put this thing there we go and that was one of the things that drew me to it you can have the seat sitting up high or you can bring the seat down low as well too for faster paddling while you're out on the waters obviously with the down low you can't get to your bait as well as you can with it being up high but still just super easy here so this is where I like to keep it so so anyways as you can see we put the seat back up in the stow position and this is where I like it guys up here I pad all around the lakes just fine I find no issues whatsoever so I never put it down in a low position I did test it out just to see what the difference was I didn't know as much we're different so I just always leave it up in this position it's more comfortable you do have adjustable straps here on the seat so you can lean the seat further back further forward wherever you want and it's also got straps here in the back that you can tighten and loosen for your lumbar support so if you get it really tight it doesn't move much or if you loosen it up gives you right and then you can also adjust these right here which adjusts this cushion of how much give it has when you sit in it so lots of adjustments on the seat which was one of the things I went for and the reviews said that the seat was just awesome so right here you can flip down put your paddle right here and put that back up you guys see that in a lot of my videos I'll put the paddle there as I catch a fish or and paddling to where I want to go and want to start fishing so here is a rod holder another rod holder and I've added this tether here like I said everything I put on the kayak I tied down so it doesn't go anywhere so rod holder would tether a milk crate that I added on so the strap goes back and forth all the way across the front I added the milk crate and put the straps through it and this thing is hold tight then I added the three rod holders on that and each one of those have a clip as well to to hold those rods in place so again if I hit the kayak it doesn't go anywhere as I come around the back we've got another handle sticker I added on up a bass pretty nice got another drain plug here so you can drain from the front or the back got another rod holder here with another little tether clip here to hold the rod so as you can see I'm holding five rods and the rear guys and in all honesty I never really take more than five rods with me five rods is about what I like three bait casters two spinning reel combos that's what I've got they're kind of over there my wife says with it as well too but those are my reels so as we come forward you got another place to store another or right here or something else whatever your F lighter right or left handed another handle here and on this handle a tether my fishing net makes it quick and easy to just quickly grab a fish plop them into the boat here and then when you're done put it right back and I also got my pliers right here so if that hook really gets bared in a fish and I need the pliers they're super easy to get to another track system here on this track system I have my fish finder this is a really nice fish finder I picked up as a wireless transducer so I'll snap that on here just let it hang on the side you'll probably see that in plenty of my videos it's just sitting right over there on the cooler on the top of the freezer over there but anyways so yeah I just clip that on here and let it hang out the side wireless you can cast it out and check to see if there's fish out that way or that way but I usually just leave it sitting here and this fish finder shows you everything it shows you the size of the fish tells you the size of the fish shows you the depth shows you the water temperature shows you what the contour the bottom looks like everything else and I'll tell you it's it's rechargeable so you just plug your cord in here charge it before you go out and you don't have to worry about lugging an extra battery on you or anything like that I've got a fish finder thing for the track mount right here and then I just did a cell phone holder that just kind of pinches on the side and holds that thing in pretty well did add a little 3m the velcro strip back here to help hold it in as well - just because I'm concerned if I do flip it I lose that thing and it's you know $100 fish finder so didn't want to lose that but um you got your foot pedals which are quickly easily adjustable just click that they can go back and forth so that's pretty nice even if you're out on the water and you decide you want to make a quick adjustment on that pretty simple you have your dry storage there's one in the back as well - so you keep everything in there I pull that out pretty good so you can see I keep a couple spare clips mice couple plugs I keep in here as well - because these are easy to get to and this bin and I like to keep my car keys and there as well - when I'm out I do have another one back here that's underneath my tackle bag I pretty much don't use that for anything now if I was going for a really long day hike I'd probably put some sandwiches or something in there a little ice pack but you know otherwise and you can see my bag here I have tether on here as well - so if I need to get some extra baits or I need to weigh the fish cuz you're my scale right here let's just simply reach back behind grab it and there you go so initially in my videos I put the GoPro right here and it would sit really low angled upwards and I didn't like that so I ended up buying this afterwards and this is just a GoPro sticky you know and then a little rod here and it holds the GoPro higher up so it's more of a straight angle at me and I like that better and I thought about putting it all the way up here on the front of the kayak so it feel like this and the wife really likes that angle to let me know what you guys think below if you like this angle better or this angle better the main reason why I went this angle is because my microphone cord is not that long and I run it right down here up to the sides under the sea and to my vest so I get good audio if I put it on the front I wouldn't be able to get it all the way up there the mic could be sitting here and I don't know how well the audio would be haven't tested it yet so that's the main reason why I put that there I like it there it works well great audio everything else so as you can see with this as punji this is the way they all work they've all just got these little clips and you just run them through the clips here and this is the same way the one in the back work sorry guys trying to do this all with one hand while I hold the GoPro but just like that so when I first started out before I got my nice life vest I kept my life vest right here so that if for some reason fish-and-game came out and started inspecting I had my life vests and whistle and everything else with me now that I got the really nice life vests I really don't keep anything up here if I do plan on keeping some fish and I want to keep them live like a tournament or something like that I'd put a cooler here and run like a little live well off of that or something like that but got another plug here for drain and another handle here so all in all you got four handles I've got a total seven rod holders these front rod holders I never use guys never use my opinion the rods sticking out up here if you're casting out reeling in anything it's just getting in the way I don't like that so I never ever used those front ones at all in my opinion that could have just left those out and I would have been perfectly happy with it but you do have a strap here guys are didn't talk about the strap what this is for is if you're sitting in the seated position and you want to stand up without tipping the kayak too hard one way or another you just grab this and pull yourself up works really well so yeah so that's about the ins and out of my kayak it did say Ozark Trail right here on the side and it was just a flimsy little plastic sticker I literally grabbed the corner pulled it right off and I put this bass hunter on instead I really like it a lot I do have so sorry about the mess guys here's my mondo kit I'm keeping which is what I'm going to fish with this weekend the mondo kid I'm giving away in the giveaway kayaks a little dirty you know I've been fishing this thing minimum once a week since I bought it back in August so here we are in March so that's a lot of use out of it and with it being so cold outside I haven't been able to hook up the front hose and scrub it out since the you know start getting cold so that's why it's so dirty I'll get out there and I'll get it washed up here soon as you
