so hey guys how are you sorry for the slight delay good evening good evening um yeah if you uh like the stream please do give me a thumbs up it's good for the google algorithms and we'll take it from there so what i'm going to do is uh i'm fully yeah i was going to mention the vaccine protocol up here in montreal bay better not because it's very controversial more joking all right so i'm going to jump into the subject at hand and then i'll do a little q a and i've got a few other things for you as well um all right so let me just jump into it it's basically a question i got put to me there it is let me just get this into view boom boom boom boom thanks for the streams uh mr anonymous sent me this and then we'll proceed to answer it's an interesting question and anyway let me just do it question for you i have a vision of possibly being a wordpress developer then transitioning to vue j vue.js developer and not wanting to be a react developer i don't know why he doesn't want to be reactive but that's okay i see that vue.js is not as heavy as react in the job market well not yet anyway so my question is should i just stick to wordpress in the job market since there is a lot of opportunity there then wait until vue gets hot in the market or just learn react and work in the market until vue gets hot in the market i re i really would like to stick to wordpress in the market until vue becomes the big boy on the block just fyi okay so that's an interesting um question i guess it brings up a couple things so first of all there's nothing stopping you from jumping into view now if there are job opportunities you know it does the view does not have to be number one or any other technology for that matter has to be number one for you to jump in it just you just gotta go with whatever job opportunities present themselves could be view could be react could be wordpress and it's also not one or the other right in life as a developer as you become more experienced as a developer as people follow my streams no as you become more experienced you will find yourself jumping from one tech to the next depending on the job opportunities that are presented to you to a certain extent there are developers who will stick to one thing for several years but more likely than not you're going to be doing you're going to be moving around depending on what happens a lot of developers will look for places where they can learn new tech so once you get your feet wet in the coding world you've done a couple years maybe you're probably going to be somebody who's going to want to uh look for jobs where you have an opportunity to learn new technologies so you can take advantage of all that free learning okay so it's a pretty quick answer there i think that was a question that was put to me via emails i figured i had to answer it it gives me opportunity wordpress itself a lot of wordpress jobs out there as well you hear it over and over again people come in it's another option but i think the bigger picture the big underlying theme here is that it's not one or the other it just depends on what what the demand is in your area so where you happen to live you may be big maybe react who knows right wordpress is pretty universal so there you go i hope that's useful to you guys let me get to some of the sort of questions here ah what's going on what's going on hey steph what's up man hey arnold how are you man good good hey hey anisa the queen i'm zip good evening from lakeland florida uh take your time at 169 years old you need all the time you can get working on react course as i type i'm thinking about starting a non-profit to help low-income people in atlanta get re-refurbished computers hey that's cool man good job why not nor ben frijha all right has it been 169 years for five years no no i hit 169 last year actually uh stefan please i need your help i'm confused choose between java server faces or javascript jsf you mean java server faces i'm not a fan of frameworks i'm using java jakarta we please advise it's not either or java server phases i haven't looked at in many years as a framework to develop ui it's wow it was really big and messy back in the day i don't know what it's like today but i don't see them as competitors per se i think maybe you're talking about using a javascript front-end framework like view like react versus using java server faces i would use a view or react rather than java server faces but ultimately especially in the java world where you work is going to is going to determine that because you may go get a job and they may have an investment in jsf and you're you're going to have to work with that that beast i don't know what it's like today it's uh boy was it a big abstraction abstractional mess back in the day i don't know what it's like today so again i would let um i will let the job market dictate that for you well react crash really no no it was based on the question that was put to me what i need to learn to become a web developer you need to learn the web stack you start with html5 css3 and javascript and you take it from there check below i got courses etc and so i'll be offering actually something i will be offering something a little later in the stream excuse me you know i lost my train of thought how do you publish a book and deliver it to buyers well i did my own book again links below on web design uh with a publisher i got a publisher in the uk publisher in north fork north america as well how books in north america and uk publisher was some was a company called octopus now um i would recommend self-publishing because the publishers now they'll help you with the editing they'll help you with the uh um maybe the graphics creation and the whole process so when i was writing my book i had a content editor i had a graphic designer who laid out so i would draw out all my diagrams and then pass it on to the graphic designer and they would lay that out and then i would had a technical editor that they also hired to make sure everything i wrote was accurate that said you could do this on your own right you could do this on your own so today especially if you have an audience you should probably self-publish unless you're a huge name you know where we're going to get you in all kinds of stores and get you onto tv shows but on these days all about online so that's you know so when you self-publish through amazon they provide all kinds of tools and capabilities for you to be able to provide digital books and ebooks and print books et cetera print on demand that kind of thing that's what i look into james boston hey stefan any chance you could go over general benefits react for view react overview i guess you meant i have been using tailwinds and bootstrap css but i have not used vue or react much as i do not know where they are useful well off the top of my head it's for larger more involved projects you would go with these two um but it's just a general thing i would have to look at tailwinds i never looked at tailwinds a bootstrap it's it's a big framework but everybody uses it just for the grid uh they don't use the other things too much as far as i know hey how are ya the weather is hot and the beer is cold hey very good man enjoy the beer uh where are you gone man you put us on live stream and you're not here hello from instabu hey how are you man good morning steph good morning man how are ya delay was good i needed to bring a sandwich for his all right how many thumbs ups do i have 21 is pathetic thumbs up to viewership ratio not pleased i'm giving you guys a thumbs down for not giving me a thumbs up okay i'll give you two thumbs down there we go now i appreciate all joking inside the thumbs down is thumbs down thumbs up is good because it's good for the algorithms bonkey in texas all right what part of texas i got to get down to texas soon greetings from sleeping sleeping stockholm i appreciate the thumbs guys i appreciate the thumbs i from brazil anderson anderson very good i don't think react is going to crash anytime soon i would agree with that statement as well hello from saigon huh very cool amen aldebarte how are you i hope everything is good hello from pakistan show tuber south korea here my answer is study react.js wordpress view altogether the more you know the higher you learn yeah exactly no question about that once you learn react or view to learn the other will be like pretty easy for you wordpress uh i think it's especially if you're freelancing it's kind of like a boilerplate if you will technology that you should know um yeah as i say my expressions the more you learn the more you earn so yeah it works why should anyone be so partial to view that's very strange i don't know i guess i heard some good things about you you know whatever everybody to his own you know near bilal hotel also love from kala gran jelum all right hamza asif that's very cool it's like i'm trying to practice with the foreign names will form from my perspective anyway hey steph what do you think about think of redux do we do a redec do a react program i have to learn redux thank you i don't have an opinion on that i have to look into that atticus now hey stefan watching from london uk hey man how are you yes you need redox always on top of its industries and there we go yep tomorrow i'll get i'll get the uh see have it in my notes here do i have it in my notes yeah discord there you go it's in my notes i'll get the discord done by tomorrow oh super chat from matt rockwell i appreciate that coffee on matt tomorrow i fantastic the coffee tastes so sweet when i get a super chat coffee i go to the girl at the uh the coffee shop shops hey this is a super chat coffee some of them know what i'm talking about some of them don't depends how old they are i love react and view and view oh there you go that's cool angular or react for dot net dev that's a good question again it depends on jobs you know uh good afternoon from a brewery hi stefan wouldn't it be less likely that vue would take over the market more likely new tooling replaced both react and view that's a very good question i don't have an answer of that i don't have an answer for that i believe that view and react are very well established and angular as well although i think angular is going to fade more and i think that they're not going anywhere anytime soon so you're safe with any of that a react is going to be around as long as facebook exists it's their framework very good i think uh that pretty much puts a nail in it so i would agree with that statement stefan what's the best freelance site for developers upward fiber or something else any advantages or disadvantages if one isn't the best you have to look into that man i i couldn't say i would imagine fiverr might be the worst uh for development uh but that's just a guess on my part i'm not an active freelancer so i don't have an answer for you on that one check around do some research do some learning and see what is up you know you might start for example using upwork for your first few gigs just to establish some ability and reputation then you move on into other areas as well once you've gotten the first few gigs and word of mouth really kicks in what are your thoughts on program to an interface not to an implementation program to an interface not to an implementation um i would have to see i'm trying to i've never heard that statement before so i'm trying to think about what they're trying to say with that statement program to an interface not to an implementation yeah i would have to see what they're trying to say about that let's get some thumbs up for the google overlords yes the overlords require thumbs they nourish themselves on thumbs that's for sure it's kind of like the gods of olympus they nourish themselves on the prayers of the uh of the mortals ah all right i'm bad in the front end where can i learn vue.js i'm always have a hard time with front-end technology so using java for backhand view for front-end where can i start i would start with javascript my guess is you might be a little lacking in the javascript department and understanding understanding the browser dom you should do my complete web designer package that will teach html5 css3 and javascript and then once you have those fundamentals down you should be able to sail into um the other text pretty easy and to that point i want to bring up something here is this going to show up for you guys so yeah this is a comment on youtube i want to bring this up guy posted i forget what video a few week maybe a week ago or something he says mr devin parker it's funny after taking your course i find i have less questions i can ask you but i can't figure out myself faster thanks for your help that's the point as i said that's the point you want to become a pro developer one of your jobs one of your jobs as a pro developer to be able to figure out stuff on your own so yeah that's the way to go so yeah do do those two courses or do that web designer package and that's going to teach you the front end and i think you'll be good to go um no horses i'm closer the finnish vasemia cms in the city web project i'm enjoying and learning a lot from your courses oh cool good all right so you're doing the content management course yeah i understand those project courses are there to just show you how things are put together ultimately if you were really building a cms from scratch you would use a framework like php laravel or express for node or flask or django for python but they're very they're teaching tools that's why i left them there uh but i'm glad you're you're making you're doing a lot of work there that's cool what do you mean of the new lit framework haven't seen it it looks like actual framework built upon native web components i think it's a google project keen to hear your thoughts i would have to look at lit i have no idea the frameworks and stuff is like they come out every two minutes new one comes out you know i read my book very cool i appreciate that that's good i hope you liked it i hope you liked it and if you did like it i hope you left a review on amazon uh steph is running on ruby time yeah that's sid we're talking like a rupee developer all right sorry hello from greece stefan do you think schweltz is the future i think it's a need to nerd tech hey i just got my second dose yesterday in florida don't plan anything the day after you're second those guys you'll be wiped out for the day very cool would you get pfizer or or modern probably pfizer modern should i use php alone or with laravel small tiny little projects php alone anything beyond that laravel and should i use front end framework or pure html css or for some side projects again if your project is becoming more comprehensive than a front-end framework like a view might make sense laravel implements vue natively so you might want to just stick to view if you go if you go laravel but if you're just doing a very simple thing i would just go vanilla js excuse me html css grid flexbox maybe bootstrap to make your life easier that's uh what do you think about react gs plus couchdb c sharp backend i have i have to look at couch don't take the shot um hello after surgery oh well welcome welcome to the stream i hope the surgery went well i'm guessing because you're i guess since you're watching it seems like everything's pretty cool for you uh yeah hey stefan could you please tell us about studying more things after your software engineering job uh i i'm not sure if i answer that ques please add to that question and adi so that we can understand i used to find ingredients from florida tips on breaking into freelancing how do i get my first client not asking friends and family you can try one of the jobber sites you know like freelance.com to start or upwork or you can just start reaching out to small businesses maybe find a small business that has a really old crappy website and call them up say listen well update it for free because i'm learning updated for free blah blah blah that might be a good route look for old crappy sites for small business in your part of the world do you like react or view i prefer vue personally but they're both very capable do you like docker and kubernetes cicd i have not used i've only looked at the technologies but i know my friends think it's great stuff react dependency is hell is react dependency hell is just crazy that's why i stick to view js and angular honest there you go somebody's done some work in it as you always say look in the job market and learn the most demand framework exactly i learned view and a little bit of react yet most jobs in my country tunisia is angular so there you go on that loves you let me know if you need a a hand with a discord yeah i might uh give you a call that i never i just looked at it briefly but maybe what i'll do is i'll say [Music] contact me or i'll contact you i'll set it up and i'll make you an admin so if you know your way around it you could set it up in a fraction of the time and then we could start inviting people to it thoughts on web3 and blockchain integration on the front end things like minting and writing smart contracts i think there's something too bad in terms now we're finally finally seeing blockchain implementation that have some practical use case in the real world so i think it's interesting that's i don't know much more about it than that though but i think it's interesting i'm learning unity and c sharp recently i'm not too confident about my programming skills so i'll just keep writing code man should i work on my programming skills first or you should practice as i learn unity just think of a project if you it sounds like you know your way around a little bit of the lang of the framework and you know your way around c sharp say okay i want to build a 2d game build it and just work your way through it when you set yourself a project to do that solid it becomes motivating in terms of figuring out uh the steps along the way remember software developers are constantly learning even the pros with five six seven eight ten years experience it's it's it's that's part of the game so yeah i would say just pick a type of game to build and build it i from brazil do you plan on doing more advanced courses why i'm coming up with i guess they're kind of updates to my foundation courses they're called i'm going to be they're called the pro course html5 pro css3 pro etc the foundation courses take you from total beginner to intermediate level so the pro courses are going to add a few little tidbits here and there and it's going to also also include some new training relative to stuff that you hear in my live streams like how to look at jobs what are the job markets like in the javascript course besides es6 are we going to be looking at the javascript frameworks take a quick look at vue in angular and react and look at these frameworks in terms of the job opportunities et cetera et cetera why you'd use them when you'd want to use them that kind of stuff kind of high level thinking about the frameworks because there's so many tutorials on there how to do how to create something and view whatever i don't need to do that so i'm i'm providing the higher level stuff and the more advanced thinking about that stuff i hope that makes sense so yeah the answer is yes uh but already what you have now many go check out the reviews go studio web read the reviews and you see lots of people get jobs with the courses as they are now but i left them as they are now i update them on occasion you got what you need um it's always good to see ancient nerds in action especially in double zero 52-hour greetings from milton key keynes uk wow cool thanks for joining stream dude um all right mb how would we do it for time 27 minutes all right finished third year in university and went and went doing a year-long placement got an option to keep working with my current company since i already got a bsc degree would you recommend to study the final year it depends on well i think in the uk are you in the uk i'm not sure where you are in the world but um if it's free maybe it might be maybe you could do it part-time maybe you can take the job if you like the job maybe do complete your last year in bsc your bcs gives me degree do it on the side part time you know two classes a semester or something like that and then you get it done in like a year and a half or whatever year and a half two years if you have a steady job because you're already you're in your last year and you're not in debt it seems a shame to drop out now right because that you know although the need for degrees diminish over time it's a little bit of thing to it's good to have you know php before react depends on the jobs if you're freelancing php hi what is the cheapest method to host java project built on tomcat might just look out there look for the various server opportunities out there i'm sure you can find something i really like the conditional rendering of vue but feel that react with redux has better state management yeah so you got to choose the right project given the needs of your job excuse you got to choose the right technology given the needs of your project all right hey from ks i listened to your money and lizard where's the courses last night good information in there i'm also going to finish your css course this weekend hey that's cool man good work kelby angular no i want a construction job but they all use bosch tools and only want to use the weight uh hey stephan do you think developer jobs are at risk of being suppressed by the d i y culture and cookie cutter maker websites they're increasingly becoming better no it's just going to shift uh the type of work over a little bit again i use wordpress as an example wordpress came out a lot of web designers were like ah no wordpress is going to kill us but it just created a huge industry for wordpress professionals so i wouldn't be right now even you can find job listings for wix professionals paying decent money wix professionals you know what i mean so shopify uh implementers as well so i wouldn't be uh too concerned about that all right more and more questions uh adi aced van how you used to manage to learn more technology after a long day of coding at work well which what i would do as a freelancer i would pick jobs that allowed me to learn new things while being paid a lot of the technologies i learned i got paid to learn and that's what a lot of developers do by the way noah says thank you very much sir for your courses in coding especially lizard wizard very helpful oh you like wizard wizard good good yeah a lot of people like lizard wizard it's uh you know as i tell people man my hair is getting a little bit too long here as i tell people having good psychological uh control is very cool so what's this wizard so here's uh for people who don't know now this is elizabeth comodo this is my free email based training you get a new lesson and a new task every three days or so i have more coming out i just haven't published them for those who are on lizard wizard commodore this is free and it's based on a training this course here this is going to cost you a fortune 1999 but this is the basis of the knowledge and this is basically psychology and um what's world soft skills training if you will so it's based on cognitive sciences martial arts meditation business experience very practical information you get about two hours of training all in video format people really like you also have an mp3 version so you can listen on the go as well check it out there's a wizard but this is it's going to cost you 19 bucks but you also can get komodo which is based on the training here and that's for free by the way if you're totally new to code and you want to understand the implications of language a to language in terms of the job so you know what kind of work will you be doing as a c plus plus coder what kind of place you'd be working at as a c plus plus coder this free video you just sign up we'll teach you that if you understand what javascript again same thing with javascript what kind of jobs you'll be doing in javascript this video will teach you that and so but several other languages as well so i put this video together because i kept getting asked these questions so it's a 29 minute video on the coders career path sit back listen to it you'll learn a lot if you're a beginner to the whole thing yeah so there you go let's get back to the q a uh stephane when i am seeing you on tv i've been on tv for studio web if you go to studioweb.com i was just an interview i was interviewed on tv let me just uh you go to studioweb.com there you go you can click through watch me on breakfast tv in uh in canada a few years back uh so you can check that out i don't know if you meant you're talking about that people think i should become a an actor and play gangsters mobsters that's what they keep getting all the time or hitmen i don't know why would they think that but anyway ah internet's finest says do you ever have those days where you just don't want to program for a couple of days 100 percent 100 is normal when you have those days especially if you've been doing good coding i would just do something else you know do something else take you know go do some exercise do some non-coding work that you've been uh letting fall behind you want to pace yourself oh yeah yeah don't don't you know unless there's super tight deadlines you always want to pace yourself you don't want to get to the state of coder burnout where you don't want to cold for years that yeah so that's normal guys like with anything especially coding coding is some of the most intense and advanced work anybody can do coders do much more complex work for 99 of jobs out there including medical doctors so you got to pace yourself you're amongst the intellectual elite in terms of jobs compared to lawyers compared to so many people what you do on a day-to-day basis as a software developer it's very advanced it's very intense mentally so you have to like an intense athlete like a high-level athlete you have to rest you have to give your brain rest you got a good nutrition good sleeping habits drink water exercise trust me very important there we go there we go uh please recommend website to practice javascript and react well if you want to learn javascript you should check out my site once you have that everything will be very good for you then you practice some projects hey stefan will freelance work in my country help me out was trying to get a job in canada i plan to move in here in the coming years cheers from brazil yeah well yes answer is yes you can show a track record the freelance jobs for small businesses could lead to you getting maybe a job a very large corporation what i would do is i would start planning now maybe talk to the canadian consulate see what they're looking for so you can start planning appropriately in terms of uh the preparation which they're going to want to see from you be to be able to get in all right what's elsewhere hey steph do you play crash bandicoot on your phone never heard of it uh steph i want to be like you what i have to do well first thing you have to do is you have to buzz cut your head that's number one you have to buzz cuss your head next thing you have to do you have to do martial arts boxing or jiu jitsu or thai boxing preferable but only if you're healthy enough to do it i'm just kidding is just consistent work and be curious that's why i suggest that's why i put out the lizard wizard course i just showed you guys um it's going to help you to learn more easily it's going to help you understand the world better and you step by step you just work towards your goals you figure out what you like to do how you like to work that's one of the things i teach people i figured this out many many years ago so i sitting there and i had a successful web design business development business i had an import expert business prior to that and soft manufacturing with water purification products etc so i sat there one day and i said okay what do i want to do i'm in my late 20s at this point what do i want to do so i lit i listed down not what i wanted to do but how i like to spend my days that's the distinction i i listed what i like to actually do like in terms of spending my day so i didn't say i want to be a view crowder of course that didn't exist but i want to be this i said what do i like to do during the day what is interesting for me what do i like to do and how do i like to live my life so i wrote all this stuff down and then i said okay what kind of business or what kind of work would allow me to live my life like vat and then i designed a new business based around how i like to spend my days so think of it that way so sit down one day maybe clear mind say what do you like to do do you like learning new technologies do you like building new things or you like the idea working on a huge project for example that suggests a different type of work environment do you like going into an office and dealing with a large corporation or you prefer to maybe have more flexibility a more nimble lifestyle perhaps i don't know etc etc etc etc so you got to look at all these type of things and with that understood you will be able to figure out the best route for you so for example for me right now i'm doing live streams because i enjoy doing live streams this is fun for me i love meeting people hamza and saud and passion team people from all over the world it's cool and i get a lot of i get a i get a very positive reaction i like it when students come back to me you know two years later a year later 20 years later uh tell me how they're doing it's just i i enjoy it so that's why i do it so i hope that helps everybody's different why react archives little to with too much code how do i make passive income as a programmer thanks you got to develop ip meaning you got to develop some sort of sas product software as a service that's one way low hanging fruit is to maybe uh start developing websites for people and host them and you start making money on hosting although that's a whole kettle fish you may not want to get into um yeah how we doing all right cool cool you'd you would be a better actor than j gesp [Laughter] yeah actually i was talking to gsp uh about a year before the pandemic he was training at the same gym as me and i don't know him hardly at all i trained with him uh 15 years ago or something like that at a mma gym when he was a pro fighter i i i didn't train with him i trained in the same gym with him i sparred with him a few times he's much smaller man me me anyhow so i met him at the at the uh in the gym in in in the sauna and he he mentioned that he was i think he's starting or he has a role in some marvel film or something i don't know what it was and he said that himself he said he said they don't hire me because i'm a good actor so he's a good guy i like jsp he's genuine which you see on the screen that's who he is in person yeah yeah which react framework do you prefer gatsby or next i don't have a preference there any ideas for rock stars rock stars rock star style front end portfolio or full stack because i have not seen this subject on any of your videos just saying rock style star well i always say when you're developing your portfolio website it better look really good even if you're doing back end work visually compelling what you do is you type in on google you go design trends of 2021 or whatever year you happen to be watching this video and then you see what the design trends are and then what you do if you're not designer-centric buy a template implement the template and then customize it you know respecting basic design principles um and if you do that especially with css3 and uh and i'm sure there's css3 and js library that you can implement to do some pretty cool stuff that's number one in terms of rock style full stack that's just having a really good application you know so there you go if i answer your question i think that's what you meant so anyway i can't choose what to learn this summer no with express or django for back-end do you have any advice yeah look at local jobs see what the demand is that could affect you there number one and number two just spend a week learning node in express play around with it get a feel for the basics basics very basic of course and then spend a week on django and see how you like that and compare the two compare the two look at the job opportunities and there you go [Music] when i am learning to code and i have more and have a longer breaks one to two weeks or even more does it impact my learning and understanding of coding yeah i would um on your break weeks i would maybe do three days of 20 minutes a day just to keep your brain uh in the coding a little bit it's just 20 minutes just to expose your brain to it on the brake weeks you know yeah hey stephane i've got the money but i haven't got the dedication of learning unfortunately so what you do hamza is um get my lizard wizard training that's going to help you with motivation it's to teach you all about that so lizard wizards for you number one lizard wizard number one and then see i got the best boca game in the live streaming world right nobody else can do that with their hand look at that yeah so do lizard wizard and uh after you've done lizard wizard you can you will have uh the training where's the wizard you will have the training to uh to do what you need to do well to be able to have better motivation anyway to get stuff done all right what else do we hear uh stefan how did you publish your book and deliver to consumers i think i covered that i use the publisher bailey says i am loving the lizard wizard course thanks for the course hey no problem bailey i'm glad you like it try to make it entertaining i'll be adding some new chapters to komodo as well so that should be a lot of fun how are we doing for time all right we're doing that 40 minutes um krishna hari pandey i think i said that right i am self learning coding till date i am a bit comfortable with html css and js just completed one simple portfolio site with js with little js to work on with geolocation weather api and vc architecture good job man cool fantastic keep at it see that's how you learn the most people see krishna is smart he's got himself out of tutorial hell but it looks a bit uh yeah and he's building things you wanna it's like something i learned in martial arts there are some styles of martial arts where everything is pre-rehearsed it's kind of like a tutorial where you say step one do this step two do this step three do this that doesn't teach you how to fight you do that kind of basic stuff until you get your basic body mechanics and then you gotta go in the ring and start fighting for real because it's really dynamic same thing with coding by the way it's very similar to combat in a sense you have to learn to pivot and change you have to examine a situation it's very dynamic so you learn your basics you get those down and then you go out there and you do build real things you're going to learn so much more quickly once you decide to take that psychological leap to actually build something trust me i would agree i would agree react is not going to crash for a while all right who gave me the thumbs down that's it i'm going to ban you i'm just kidding um bailey says it has been helping me with my self-esteem ah lizard wizard i love building native apps games and building false projects very cool man uh i guess i guess you're talking about lizard wizard with your self-esteem uh what's going on here hello from the other side of the world champlain i want a job can you do a jsp impression all jsp sounds like like the typical french canadian uh speaking in english hello uh i'm going to teach you the coding today with the html and the css and we're also going to do some of the little php because php starts with p and putin starts with php so that's good all right that's my french canadian imitation for you did jsp tell you about the aliens and have a sauna story i'll tell you sometime okay that's cool no no alien discussion with jsp i generally speaking on a casual basis avoid any discussions about aliens with people who i only have a casual relationship with i i barely know the guy like he reminded me said hey george how are you and he didn't recognize me because i'd been had been 15 years but because i'm 169 years old in my mind it had been maybe five years and i said yeah you know gamma phil goes yeah yeah yeah yeah i see he goes it's been about five years he goes try 15 15. i said yeah it's true so yeah so for a record i do not know jsp i do not know him he just trained in the same gym as me sparred him a couple times that's it uh does college teach software development yeah it does but it depends on the college you know how good depends on the teachers i want a job yeah he wants a job bad hi steph do you have any ideas for dev business that can cause income of 40 50k a month of course i know that's a lot of effort in years but i'm just thinking about some useful ideas well that will probably mean a sas software as a surface uh noir says after finishing your courses next step is doing real world project own website exactly is it better to continue using sublime text or using intellij ide thanks whatever you prefer man the ide the code editor that you use is largely a personal choice use whatever one you prefer intellij is uh fantastic so you know i actually prefer that are are you in academia you sound a lot like my profs no i am not a an official professor at a university but i've been coding for since 1990s so um steph can we get a web job without knowing the work itself can i get a web dev job without knowing the work itself i know what you mean by that uh if you want to get a web draft if you want to get a web dev job you have to learn how to write software hey how are you man gregory familiar face uh mernstag good for full stack web dev yeah there's opportunity there for sure elias says stefan thanks for the advice over time no problem man do you think remote work is here to stay when it when it comes to working at companies i think there will be more remote work i think that it would be depend on the company and it would depend on the individual but i certainly i certainly believe certain excuse me i certainly believe there will be more re remote work hey steph i'm trying to learn codes so that i could maybe make an inventory a point of sale system for a small retail business is it possible to make it using wordpress you would not use wordpress for that you would use a proper framework like a laravel for php django for python express for javascript hey dan's game greetings from greece hey very cool welcome to the stream man uh all right um what are we gonna do here all right so we're at 50 minutes so we're getting close one hour we'll be signing off steph before or after regards to everything uh i'm in a permanent remote position now that wouldn't have existed without covert there you go yeah i think you'll see more and more of that i actually have somebody who has a permanent remote position they want me to bring it to your attention i'm probably going to do that with the next few days that we're coming out c c-sharp based in fact uh so all right so let me just uh i'm gonna shamelessly plug something uh where's my seamlessly plugging button here all right so i'm gonna shamelessly plug my mentoring program so it's my this is my most premium program if you want uh the boot camp full training with staff you get everything you get all my courses hundreds of lessons thousand quiz questions interactive learning you learn html css javascript python php sql you get into the private community job prep skills you get lizard wizard everything freelancing courses entrepreneur courses private mentoring videos consultations everything you want there my mentoring program i started this about a year ago and it's growing i've kept it i didn't kept it under radar until recently for the most part so if you're looking for the most advanced training this is it it's not it's it's not it's much cheaper than any boot camps out there but it's it's not certainly more expensive than my 39 jobs you got monthly at 49 bucks a month and 79 a month and you can pay one shot for the whole year one shot as opposed to playing over 12 months and it's for life lifetime access so if you're interested in mentoring here it is check it out you can learn all about it if you got questions email me directly at stefan the studio webb that's the whole point of mentoring program you get direct access to me and uh there you go so i shamelessly sell promoted my mentoring program again something i still do because i like doing it we have bi-weekly zoom meetings etc so there you go uh let's go stephan are you human or person uh i'm using lizard wizard komodos keep it uh keep it up yeah we're gonna be adding to wizard wizard lizard wizard come on i'd be i actually have new lizard wizard commodore sessions coming out i just have to do some final edits this is free by the way links everything you find links to everything below this is free lizard wizard comodo it's always my coder career paths you want to check out that check that out free 29 minute video you're going to learn a lot of your totally new to the whole coding thing you want to understand it all right all right so what else we got going on here hey good morning ancient bubba i hope all was well uh matthew is one of the i think you're one of your original mentees i'm not sure yeah mentoring is a plus cool i appreciate that i always like a plug honestly if you would react are both pretty decent yes i would agree it's more of a preference whether you want to work with jsx ts tsx or not so there you go choice yeah as i say so many of these frameworks in these languages they're they're neck and neck in terms of their capabilities and it's a lot usually it's a lot of it's a lot of external factors beyond whether they're good or not that that dictates whether you're going to use a particular tech a lot of it is personal choice or taste a lot of it could be just job opportunities so and you can't go wrong like there's one illusion i'm trying to dispel on the youtubes the illusion of learning of the wrong language the illusion of learning the wrong library it's impossible just pick something you like look at the job market go to indeed.com type in your geographical location type in okay are there jobs in x you know view are there jobs and react jobs on wordpress in your yes or no if there are then try it out see if you like if you don't move to something else you cannot make a bad choice in that regard you cannot make a bad choice all right any other questions we're coming to the end 55 minutes 27 seconds i'm trying to keep my streams a little bit shorter i keep on saying 30 minutes 45 minutes never happens i'm trying to do them daily uh so that you know at different times too what do you recommend to learn laravel or express again i just answered that if your php background and there's php level jobs and jump into that uh so any other questions before i let you guys go let me know uh anything else i want to show you get the mentoring i got the lizard wizard all right cody's career path i covered everything ah i like vanilla is this wrong nothing wrong with that dude cool um all right if there's no other questions have a good night thanks for joining the stream if you like this stream do give it a thumbs up and uh tell your neighbors and uh we'll see you in the next uh stream all right we'll do the the main asmr video this is the coast of maine in north eastern u.s nice place oh one last thing uh yeah discord i'm going to try to get it done the next couple of days i will do the discord thing i keep forgetting that it's on my list so discord is coming also here it is i'm feeling generous if you're interested in the mentoring program email me directly stefan at studio web and i'll provide a nice discount for people summer discount schools are now finishing off for the summer and for spring summer so i have more free time so i want to take on some more mentoring so if you're interested in mentoring hit me up with an email and i could provide a discount for you kind of uh yeah there you go any other questions discord server i'm building one for myself at the moment very cool yeah people have been asking me to do a discord so i'm doing it i don't know see montreal we'll see after i have to read this i started a startup in montreal we build visit companions for museums distributed in in a wordpress way i need a developer so i can focus on ceo work any advice on evaluating evaluating potential partners ah that's interesting well first of all you need to find somebody since you're small but you get along with so make sure you really vet them for their personalities if you i don't know if you're bringing them in as partners that's difficult because having a business partner is like getting married so you have to vet them very closely very closely you have to be careful about that so what i would do is i'd maybe uh see if you can hire somebody on a couple little gigs here and there spend a little bit of money if you can afford a little bit see how they work see if you get along with them and tell them to you know always transparency is always the best way to live your life say listen i'm looking for a partner but i want to see if we get along i want to see if you have the skills i want to see if we click personality wise before we uh do this partnership partnership is like getting married so you got to be very careful about that so yeah good luck with that man good luck with that one of my studio web students going back years his startup in montreal it looks like it's going to hit close to a half billion dollar evaluation half a billion half a billion so he's doing pretty good needless to say so um at some point when he's got some free time he's supposed to come in to talk about startup life they're gonna have a thousand employees very soon so he's a studio web student so yeah well ex-studio web student all right we'll talk soon bye so you
