[Music] what up dude bros i'm frank this is another episode of versus in this episode i'm comparing the available blasters that shoot elite missiles commonly referred to as demolisher missiles in this video i'm going over the available blasters that launch these things i'll show you all of them firing and end with my top picks sort of a series overview sort of a versus a little bit of a hybrid starting out with the ammo itself so this is a nerf elite missile commonly referred to as a demolisher missile i call it the demolisher missile because it's very clear what i'm talking about the first blaster that shot these was the demolisher the dimensions are totally different than elite mega and everything else nerf offers so why would somebody want to shoot an elite missile at all first because it's fun it's way more satisfying to get a hit with one of these and it's really degrading when you get hit by one of these but the number one reason i'd recommend it is if your game types specifically overvalue the missile back in ohio we used to play this game where it was sort of like capture the flag where you had to launch darts into this big box at the end of the timed round the team who had more points in that basket won elite darts were one mega darts were something like three or four in missiles were like 10 points and there are other variations of that so i know hvz campuses will have like npcs that can only be destroyed by certain types of ammo so normal darts don't hurt them but you need to hit them with like five missiles to kill off that npc and that keeps the games really fun and really fresh so the main reasons to use these missiles are because it's super fun or because you're trying to score more points for your team that is a basic overview of the missiles now i'll go over these blasters one by one first blaster that shoots elite missiles is the demolisher the demolisher two in one has two different drive trains integrated into one blaster the main blaster is a semi-auto flywheel-powered magazine-fed blaster very similar to the strife but the main part of the demolisher is not what i'm here to talk about i'm here to talk about the missile launcher component this is a permanently integrated component within the demolisher two-in-one this is not a tactical attachment but because it's not an attachment it's rock solid and built into the blaster in a really strong way so you have your barrel in the center of the blaster with a shroud around it to load you put the missile slot like that right over that peg and shove back to fire you pull out the handle like that and there's no spring return and i quickly pull it back in order to launch the missile like so the propulsion here is considered a hamp high airflow manual plunger all of the blasters in this video i'm going over are hamps that compares to an air tank system a bladder system a flywheel system a spring system this is a totally different thing it's all manual no batteries no spring it's very simple but because it's all manual your performance is gonna vary the harder you pull this back the harder it's gonna shoot up to a point so if like a six-year-old picks this up and tries to shoot it they might not get the best performance where if somebody who's more able-bodied comes up they can really get some umph on it this contrasts with something like stored potential energy like a spring once you pull back that spring it doesn't matter if it takes two seconds or two years once that spring is primed that potential energy is primed so a four-year-old could pull the trigger or a 30-year-old could pull the trigger and the performance is going to be the same because this is manual it's very different not a huge deal but definitely worth noting so if you're getting better performance than your friend let them know how you pump it actually matters there's no way i could say that with a straight face and the demolisher missile achieved a chrono average of 46 feet per second but again it's manual powered so your chrono average might be different than mine that is the demolisher two in one next up is the thunderblast the drivetrain of all these blasters is essentially the same so i'm gonna be repeating the same stuff over and over but loading this is the exact same thing you put the missile over the little peg like that down here is the pump handle to fire so you can grip it like this or grip the vertical grip so you can pull that out you aim where you want to fire and fire in the propulsion or drivetrain is the exact same thing it's a ham so your performance is going to vary based on how well you can pull that back the thunderblast also has an n-strike tactical rail right here so if you want to put a cool looking optic on you totally can has a nice comfy grip like here so if you want to shoot it like this shoulder you totally can then it also has this little arch back here so if you want to put it up on your shoulder pretending like it's an rpg you can do this too you can grip and shoot this a lot of different ways and because it's manual how you ergonomically interface with the mechanism is actually pretty important unlike a spring blaster where you can prime it and hold it like this and your firing performance is going to be the same so the ergonomics and finding one of these blasters that fits your body type is actually pretty important but in the back of the thunderblast we have storage for two more missiles that are built into this permanent stock this blaster unlike the demolisher is a standalone missile launcher that's all this blaster does but it's got a lot of slots cut into this stock so you can mount a sling up so if you want to run this as a tactical secondary around your hip you totally can the thunderblast achieved an average velocity of 56 feet per second but again being manual powered you might get different results that is the thunderblast next up is the modulus missile launcher stock this comes included with the modulus tri-strike combo kit but you can also purchase it separately or at least you could when it came out i don't know if it's still available this operates in the same way this blaster is a ham so you can front load your missile like that you pull back on this and then you push forward and fire but this blaster is a little different because it's designed to be a tactical attachment to go on to your modular blasters so up top it has an n-strike tack rail right here but also down below this is actually an attachment itself it can be operated as a standalone blaster as you can see it here but it can also be attached to other nerf blasters so you can disconnect the stock so the barrel unit has an n-strike stock attachment point here and this is an n-strike stock so if you want to attach it to your strife or a different blaster you totally can however when i attach this to most blasters it really makes the blaster uncomfortable because this is just way too close it really cramps up the grip area here it technically works and it's super tactical to be able to just attach a missile launcher to whatever in-strike blaster you have but because of that i've never actually used this in a battle it's just too uncomfortable and this is all made possible because this little air tube is external like this and i think it is this inefficient air system that contributes to the lower muzzle velocity i chrono this one at only 40 feet per second which is a little bit slower than all of the other missile launchers in this video like i said you can use it as a standalone blaster but it's really optimized to be attached to something else so that slightly lower muzzle velocity might not be a big deal a slow shooting missile launcher is better than no missile launcher right that is the modulus missile launcher stock next up is the fortnite rl or rocket launcher this blaster is built to resemble an rpg which looks really cool but the operation is just like the other missile launchers it is a hamp it's manual powered so you can front load like this pull back on the rear part of the blaster if you want to use the grips you can i find it easier just actually grip the main shell like this then you push forward to fire it has two flip up sights built into the shell like this but those are the only movable components other than the hamp system itself a very cool looking blaster if you're into rpgs and you want to feel like you're rpg in somebody this is the green version they also have an rl which is yellow and an rl ripley which is blue it's the same shell it's the same performance they just have different reskins available so if you want one color buy it instead and i got a chrono velocity of 51 feet per second with this blaster that is the fortnite rl next up is the hulk assembly gear blaster i actually have not reviewed this on my channel and i don't intend to because it's so simple but the propulsion is the same it's a hamp and operating it is the same so you get your missile you front load it like that you can pull back on the handle like this and then fire this blaster also came with little attachments to go on the miniature little tack rails right here and here so if you want to attach these little things for cosmetic reasons you can i guess this is part of the assembler gear concept of just having cool attachments that go every which way but these rails aren't even full-size in-strike tactical rails so if you want to put on a normal optic it actually will not lock into place so it slides on but it doesn't lock into place it's not a full-size in-strike rail i think it's just designed to work with the included attachments and maybe some other assembler gear stuff but the whole camp is super small and compact it's even smaller than the modulus stock and it doesn't have this little tube which can catch on something it's extremely compact however it doesn't have any official sling mounts so if you wanted to do that you just have to wrap your sling around this loop or something like that and this blaster chronos at about 55 feet per second which is on the upper end of missile launchers that is the hulk assembler gear hamp and lastly is the fortnite gl or grenade launcher this blaster's propulsion just like the others is a hamp but this one is unique because it has a six round capacity i know six run capacity is not a big deal when you're talking about dart blasters but for missile launchers this is the highest capacity missile launcher on the market it has a rotating cylinder system which lets you shoot off six rounds in a row without reloading very quickly below this one you push your missiles through the little front shield plates hole right here it has two loading ports one on each side then you manually rotate to the empty barrels reload and keep going again a capacity of six missiles this blaster features a nice carry handle up top which is convenient given how bulky the blaster is and that features an n-strike tactical rail so if you want to put an optic on you totally can the stock is permanent not adjustable non-removable which is a little bit annoying and this blaster also has some ergonomic issues because it's so big and bulky but in my opinion it's totally worth it if you're trying to launch as many missiles downrange as possible there's no better blaster than this one and it looks super cool it looks like an actual grenade launcher just painted yellow and orange but firing this one is just like the others you pull this handle back very quickly to shoot and when you pull the front handle forward that's when the cylinders rotate again you can shoot off six missiles in a row really quickly with this one but the chrono average of this one is only 41 feet per second which is a little bit slower than other missile launchers it's probably because of the moving cylinder back here which no doubt causes an inefficiency in your air system and the propulsion just like all the others is hamp so it's manual powered your chrono velocities might be different than mine that is the fortnite gl that is an overview of the elite missile launchers that are available right now now i'll show you each of the blasters firing starting with the demolisher [Music] now the thunder blast [Music] so [Music] now the modulus missile launcher stock [Music] do [Music] [Music] [Music] now the fortnite rl [Music] do now the hulk a simpler gear unit [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] now the fortnite gl [Music] shooting missile launchers is super fun it's way different than shooting nerf elite darts it's extremely satisfying to see a large projectile fly through the air it's even more satisfying if you're lucky enough to get a hit and i really do mean lucky enough because these missiles are not very accurate it is very difficult to aim them you're manually pulling back on the system so while you're doing that and jerking the plunger around you're also moving your barrel so it's very difficult to hit stuff which also adds to the satisfaction if you're lucky enough to actually get a hit with one of these i would say it takes more experience and almost a little more skill and coordination to actually get a hit with one of these blasters in a nerf battle but yeah they're super fun so that's an overview of the available blasters and the firing demo now moving on to my top picks now each of these blasters has a purpose so i'm not saying if it's not my top pick you shouldn't use it each of them is specifically designed for a roll and they all add something that the others do not that being said here are my top picks for this series i have three top picks starting out with number three the demolisher two in one this is a top pick because it's a really stable way to have a missile launcher attached to a functional blaster so you could run this blaster as your primary as you know i like flywheel blasters this makes for a pretty solid primary i like that it's not an attachment because it's rock solid it's really integrated in there firmly but keep in mind if you're not going to shoot missiles in that round you might use a strife or something a little bit smaller this blaster is a specialty blaster for someone who's using missiles pretty much every game they play and for that role it's a solid blaster that is number three number two the hulk assembler gear ham i chose this one because it's a really compact missile launcher this would make for a really solid secondary it doesn't have any sling attachment points but you can get a rope or creatively put a sling through the stock area here so you could sling it on your hip as you're using your primary like a strife or a regular blaster and then when you need your missile launcher you can whip this out fire it and then throw it back on your sling it's small it's light it's pretty compact doesn't have much junk on it that it doesn't need to have so i think it would make for an excellent slung secondary for a specialty role and unlike the demolisher you can always just un-sling this and throw it down for a game if you're not going to use the missile launcher compared to the demolisher if you build your whole load out around this blaster and they start playing games that don't specifically overvalue the missile you're carrying around a lot of extra bulk that you can't remove from the blaster again it's really solid because it's not removable but it's really bulky for the rounds that you're not using the missile launcher in a slung specialty blaster is great because you just sling it on rounds that you want it and you just throw it back in your gear bin when you don't want it and that's why the hulk assembler gear is my number two top pick now getting to my number one top pick i bet you can already guess what it is number one nerf missile launcher available the fortnite gl if you're into shooting missiles being able to shoot six in a row is insane it is the highest capacity missile launcher available it looks really cool like a grenade launcher and it performs pretty well it doesn't perform at the highest velocity but you could open it up and increase that air efficiency if you really want more performance there are a few complaints with this blaster these shields are a little bit in the way it is a bulky blaster it's very wide my left arm ran into this shield often when i was shooting and this stock is so short that it's completely pointless and it actually interferes with my right wrist a little so if i were to modify this up to actually use i'd open it up increase the air system i take these shields totally off and i'd get a saw and cut off the stock completely yeah it won't look as good but it'll perform really well this blaster would make for an excellent primary if you are one in a squad or something like that however it is really big and bulky i would never run this as a slung secondary so it's great at what it's trying to do as a more intense missile launcher but if it's just a secondary that you're not putting a lot of thought into the hulk assembly gear blaster is probably better for you that's smaller sleeker and easier to run slung this is big and bulky so it's a highly specialized blaster for a highly specialized role but for that role there's nothing else on the market that can even come close high capacity pretty decent performance and it looks really cool that is why the fortnite gl is my number one top pick so that is my overview for nerf elite missile launchers they are very cool blasters that are very fun to use but they're very specialized for a particular type of nerfer i definitely don't recommend everyone go out and buy a missile launcher but if you want missiles hopefully this video has laid out the available options to help you with your purchase decision if you'd like to buy any of these i'll put buy links in the description box below that i can find keep in mind a lot of these blasters are really old so the availability especially worldwide can be hit or miss but i'll do what i can in the description box below that's the end of this video hopefully you understand the available missile launchers a little bit better if there are any verses or series overview videos that you want to see in the future leave me a comment in the section below that's it for this video review thanks so much for watching bros and as always stay tactical
